#3 "Good Life" in the context of Saberhagen's Berserker fiction has a traitorous and horrid connotation. It represents not just the refutation of liberty, but of life itself. Life of the people; life of the puppies; life of the daisies. All must be extinguished. With "good life" facilitating in their demise. |
