#16 Blame *that* on the Education system which never mentions the millions killed for 'communism'. And the media which, even today, never mentions the evils of communism - but instead give us flat out lies about it's 'benefits'... (see Cuba Health Care). Even 30-plus years ago when I was in high school they didn't teach the truth about communism.... |

#15 Over the years, communism has remained a mystery to hundreds of millions of "ordinary folks." |

#14 Ordinary folks cannot believe O's agenda, but it has been clear from the time of the campaign. If they believed it they probably wouldn't have voted for him. Ordinary people really can't believe it because it's so preposterous. They don't understand it. I think they'll probably understand that things have gotten worse when the next election rolls around but I'm afraid there's already been a whole lot of damage done. Maybe he'll be like Carter where ordinary people shudder at his memory but then after a Republican president or two they'll forget and another FDR/LBJ/Carter/Clinton/Obama type will come along to ratchet up the government control a few more notches. It's been a long, slow process since FDR passed Social Security but they certainly keep at it, don't they? |

#13 Ordinary folks cannot believe O's agenda, but it has been clear from the time of the campaign. He thinks that he is the anointed One that will make a Marxist govt successful, where Mao, Stalin, et al failed. The oil spill is no different. Never waste a crisis to destroy private enterprise and sacred institutions of our constitution. |

#12 He was hoping for a bigger crisis so he could get cap'n'trade passed in the enviroweenie backlash. You mean a bigger crisis like the hurricane currently brewing in the gulf which could spread the oil all over the place? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100630/ap_on_re_us/us_tropical_weather |

#9 He was hoping for a bigger crisis so he could get cap'n'trade passed in the enviroweenie backlash. That's why we've seen the stumbling, bumbling response. He didn't think it was bad enough by itself so he's trying to make it worse. But just remember, the same crooks and morons who allowed the oil spill to happen will be in charge of all the so-called green energy projects. They'll also be in charge of any new nuclear power plants that are built. Gives me bad dreams. |

#8 Like watching a train vs. stalled vehicle. Can't stop the train, can't move the vehicle, just sit there and wonder why somebody would stop on the tracks for 10 feet of extra difference before the light changed. |
