Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, who grew up in the Washington suburb of Falls Church, was convicted in federal court in 2005. He's scheduled to be in a Virginia courtroom Monday morning.
Last year an appeals court ordered his resentencing, saying his original 30-year term was too lenient.
