| U.S. says Russia considering to send warships to Abkhazia region |

| (Xinhua) -- Russia is planning to send its warships towards Georgia's rebel Abkhazia region, local mass media quoted an unidentified U.S. State Department official as reporting on Saturday. "We have been notified that Russia has plans to move elements of its Black Sea fleet to Abkhazia, to Ochamchira, ostensibly to protect their civilians ... a couple of cruisers, or large scale naval vessels," the official said. |
