| 'US spy' shot dead near Miranshah |

| Militants shot dead a man near Miranshah for “spying for the United States”, an official said on Thursday. Locals found the bullet-riddled body of Birmal village resident Gul Zali Khan along with a note that read, “This man has met his fate because he was spying for the American and Afghan forces and giving them help”. The victim, who was in his 20s, was picked up at a bus stop last week just outside Miranshah, residents said, adding that he ran a grocery store in his native town. |
