| Starting Jan 1. in Illinois. No smoking in: enclosed workspaces, public places including restaurants, bars recreation venues throughout the state. No smoking within 15 feet of the entrance to a public place or workplace. (Minimum places like Wheaton set it to 25 feet or more.) Fines for individual $100 to $250 Fines from $250 to $2500 for owner of workplace or public place where violation takes place. |
