| Committee protests remarks against Liberation War |

| Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee and South Asian People's Union Against Fundamentalism and Communalism yesterday condemned the audacious remarks against the Liberation War, freedom fighters and constitution by some pro-Jamaat-e-Islami intellectuals. The organisations said pro-Jamaat intellectuals are making such remarks following similar comments by Jamaat leaders Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid, Abdul Quader Mollah, Kamruzzaman and Shah Abdul Hannan. In a press release, leaders of the organisations said these people are mainly opposing the demand for trial of war criminals at seminars and roundtables organised in the last few days by Jamaat and its font organisations. |
