| Salman Rushdie To Make Rare Appearance In Chicago |

| Chicagoans have a rare chance on Wednesday to see author Salman Rushdie in person. The controversial British writer will read from and sign his book Shalimar the Clown and sign copies at the Harold Washington Library at 6 p.m. He will be there as part of a program put on by the Columbia College Fiction Department. |
