RANGPUR, Jan 31: A young girl received severe burn injury as a miscreant hurled acid on her at Gagla Bazaar village under Nageswari upazila in Kurigram district in the small hours of Saturday, reports BSS. Police sources said the victim was identified as China Khatun, 22, daughter of Moti Dorji and the miscreant as Akram Hossain, 25, son of Sobed Ali of the same village. Victim''s family sources said Akram entered the bedroom of China by cutting the bamboo fence of his father''s house and hurled acid on her as she repeatedly refused his proposal of making illicit relationship with him. China''s left eye, hands, chicks, shoulders, backside and some other parts of the body were severely burnt by the acid.
