| Although 76 percent Pakistanis think that terrorism is a major threat to the country, some 61 percent believed the US is playing a negative role in the fight on terror, according to a Gallup International survey. According to the survey of 63 countries including Pakistan, only Israelis (82 percent) and Danes (58 percent) think that the US is playing a positive role in the terrorism war. In Pakistan, 13 percent of the people questioned did not consider terrorism a threat. Only 14 percent believed that the US role was positive in the war on terror, 13 percent said the US had played a neutral role and 12 percent did not know about it. The survey said that around 44 percent of the global population believed the US had played a positive role, whereas 36 percent considered its role negative, while 15 percent maintained that the USÂ’s role had been neutral. |
