PRAGUE, Czech Republic - Leading astronomers declared Thursday that Pluto is no longer a planet under historic new guidelines that downsize the solar system from nine planets to eight.
Well that didn't last long. All the planets that were added a week ago--Charon, Ceres, etc.--are now to be destroyted outright dwarf planets. Charon is back to being a satellite, and I know if I lived next to Pluto, I'd be keeping an eye on THAT situation, what with how Charon was strutting around after being named a full-on planet. |
