BEIRUT - Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora on Monday called on the five permanent members of the UN Security Council to work to end the Israeli air and sea blockade following the announcement of a ceasefire.Siniora summoned ambassadors of the United States, France, Britain, Russia and China and stressed the ‘importance of reopening the sea ports and airports as called for in UN resolution 1701,’ a Lebanese official said. Siniora highlighted the ‘negative impact’ the continuation of the blockade could have on the arrival of humanitarian assistance, the official said.
