LAHORE: WWF Pakistan in collaboration with Cleaner Technology Program has organised a training workshop for Textile Processing Mills (TPMs) on water and energy conservation and Better Environmental Management Practices (BEMPs).According to a press release on Wednesday, the workshop was organised in Lahore, Faisalabad and Karachi under a project funded by EU-Pakistan Small Project Facility. Mr Anton Kaasjager, a consultant from a Dutch textile-training institute, was the main resource person for the training. Anton informed the workshop participants about why environmental compliance was necessary and how it could help to save money. Project coordinator Hania Aslam told the participants that they had already organised nine workshops for textile sector on specific issues.
