 LONDON - Britain does not envisage military action against Iran, by Britain or any other country, Foreign Minister Jack Straw said on Tuesday after the Islamic Republic restarted nuclear fuel research work. âMilitary action is not on our agenda, I donât believe in practice it is on anyone elseâs agenda,â Straw told parliament.

 Straw said he was concerned about Iranâs resumption of research into nuclear fuel and was consulting his EU colleagues on how hard to push for a referral to the United Nations Security Council.

âReference to the Security Council has always been on the agenda,â said Straw. âThe issue of whether we formally propose a referral to the Security Council will be a key subject for discussion when I meet my colleagues in the next few days.â |
