WASHINGTON, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Nearly all varieties of petroleum increased in the United States last week, the Energy Department reported Wednesday. The only exception to the supply growth was heating oil, which fell as buyers laid in stocks for the winter. Crude oil inventories rose by 4.5 million barrels from the previous week. At 323.6 million barrels, U.S. crude oil inventories remain well above the upper end of the average range for this time of year. Gasoline inventories increased by 4.2 million barrels last week, putting them in the upper half of the average range. Diesel fuel inventories also rose last week.
Even though heating oil supplies fell moderately last week, they remained in the upper half of their historic range for this time of year, the department said.
