The European Commission is looking into long-range plans for an EU-wide taxation system, according to a German press report on Saturday. The Commission has set a 2010 target date for looking into the feasibility of a pan-European tax and providing EU member nations with details of the proposed revenue-generating system, said the report in Die Welt newspaper.
