 Egyptian police looking for the men who planted bombs at Sinai tourist resorts last month have detained some 2,500 people and subjected many of them to torture, rights activists said on Thursday. Police have hung men by their arms for hours, with electrodes attached to their toes, and burned their skin with devices that looked like oven lighters, victims and eyewitnesses told a fact-finding mission which visited the area.ÂÂ
