An Israeli aircraft fired two missiles Sunday at a group of Palestinians who had just launched a homemade rocket, killing three people in the northern Gaza Strip, Palestinian hospital sources and witnesses said. The first Israeli missile hit two men on an empty cart and the second hit a nearby group, witnesses said. The militants were from the Popular Resistance Committees, an umbrella group of Palestinian militant groups, Palestinian sources said. The Israeli military had no immediate comment.
