Radio Tehran has reported that Saif ul Adil, spokesman for Taliban while speaking to the radio station said that hundreds of Taliban are preparing for a major initiative during their Spring offensive against the Americans and their allies. He said that 300 men have volunteered for the missions that are deemed âsuicidalâ, as there is no âescape routeâ in these missions. The men are prepared for operations in Kabul, Zabol, Paktia, Paktika and Khost. He also confirmed that Americans had offered to discuss a cease fire with the Taliban but that the Taliban leadership has refused negotiations. |
