The newly appointed assistant to the director of intelligence has accused Al-Jazeera satellite channel of inciting terrorism. Prince Abdul Aziz ibn Bandar described as âan act to incite terrorismâ footage aired on Friday by the channel purporting to show the suicide bombers of a Riyadh residential compound minutes before they carried out their attack last November. âThis is not surprising,â he told Okaz newspaper. âSince its launch (in 1996), this channel incites terrorism. (This incitement) is not since the events of Sept. 11, 2001, but long before,â he added. |
