Writing to Kofi Annan following the recent bombing of the UN headquarters in Baghday, Archdeacon Taimalelagi Fagamalama Tuatagaloa-Matalavea, the head of the Anglican Communion’s UN office(bet you didn’t know they had one, didja?), Rev. Tuatagaloa-Matalavea actually wrote this:
We are deeply saddened and concerned that terrorists do not appreciate the sincere objectives of the United Nations to bring about peace and security to the world and especially in Iraq and the Middle East.
