NIGERIA 🇳🇬 I Some clarifications on the Lakurawa group, a local militia that concretely emerged in 2017 in the Gudu and Tangaza districts (Sokoto State), which has become a potential relay for the expansion of the EIS.
Initially a self-defense group tasked with protecting rural communities from cattle theft, the movement gradually developed its own practices for administering territory 🇳🇬 and territorial ambitions.
Its evolution has been marked by three major transformations:
🔸Militarization: transition from a local self-defense force to an armed organization capable of carrying out attacks against Nigerian armed forces and civilian populations
🔸Ideological radicalization: development of a rigorist religious discourse, accompanied by sermons and a desire to impose social norms
🔸Regionalization: proliferation of cross-border connections with fighters originating from Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Chad, and Libya.
🔸Affiliation with the EIS: the exact nature of this affiliation remains difficult to establish⚠️
Islamic State in the Sahel Province (ISSP) claims them as an integral part in the borderlands rather than a separate armed group.
The connection between the two organizations oscillates between operational ties and ad hoc cooperation, territorial competition, and ideological convergence.
In any case, there does not appear to be any organizational subordination or clear allegiance.

Yemen’s internationally recognized government is moving to cut off a major Houthi revenue stream.
On October 29, the National Committee for Regulating and Financing Imports issued Decision No. 8 of 2026, requiring customs duties, taxes, and other fees on imported goods arriving at Houthi-controlled ports to be collected in advance.
Importers must pay these charges in full before banks can process foreign currency transfers to finance their imports.
On November 4, the Aden Chamber of Commerce circulated the decision to traders, companies, and commercial establishments.
The measure aims to deny the Houthis customs and tax revenues from imports passing through ports under their control, while shifting revenue collection to government authorities.

[Jpost] Speaking to the crowd, Ambassador Dagan encouraged people to commit to fighting Jew-hatred as a way of honoring the memory of those who died in the Holocaust.
More than 60,000 people marched in Lima on Saturday to participate in the March of Life, an international movement that brings together Jewish and Christian communities to honor the memory of the Holocaust, express support for Israel, and condemn antisemitism.
The Lima event was organized in partnership with the Worldwide Missionary Movement (MMM) and was attended by Israel's Ambassador to Peru, Gali Dagan, as well as other key figures. The audience members predominantly wore white T-shirts, and most carried Israeli flags. As part of the same event, there was also a march of more than 3,000 young people.
Speaking to the crowd, Ambassador Dagan encouraged people to commit to fighting Jew-hatred as a way of honoring the memory of those who died in the Holocaust.
"Tonight, we remember the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, victims of antisemitic hatred and centuries of incitement. We must also remember those who, amid that darkness, chose to help and save lives."
Among them, he highlighted two Peruvian diplomats, José Gambetta and José Barreto, who facilitated passports so that persecuted Jews could escape Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... and find refuge in Peru.
'REJECT INDIFFERENCE BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE'
"Remembering the Holocaust obliges us to honor its victims, but also to recognize the warning signs of hatred, reject indifference and act before it is too late," he continued, adding that "this responsibility is more urgent today than ever."
"The memory of the Holocaust demands consistency from us: we cannot remain indifferent when intolerance and antisemitism manifest themselves again," he said, before encouraging the audience to express their support for Israel on social media, share information, "defend the truth" and raise their voices against antisemitism.
He noted that, since the Hamas ..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... massacre of October 7, 2023, the world has seen an "alarming" escalation in antisemitism. He encouraged people to stand up for Jews, and said "The best response to hate speech is a firm, courageous and supportive voice."
AMBASSADOR EXPRESSES GRATITUDE TO PERUVIAN GOVERNMENT
Dagan also expressed his gratitude to the Government of Peru for its decision to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism, adding that the decision "constitutes an important signal of commitment to the historical memory of the Holocaust and to the fight against antisemitism."
Peru adopted the non-binding working definition just over a week ago on October 26, 2026. It marks a shift in policy towards Israel and Jews under President Keiko Fujimori, the right-wing leader who entered power in July.
Dagan ended his address by speaking of the shared values and roots of Jews and Christians and thanking the Peruvian Christians for their friendship and support.
"Knowing that we have friends who publicly express their solidarity gives us strength and hope. It reminds us that we are not alone," he said, before inviting them to visit Israel.
[Jpost] As Iran threatens Europe and cyberattacks hit retailers across the continent, the EU is urging households to stock emergency kits for the first 72 hours of a crisis.
“Nobody considered this a European problem," Dr. Lynette Nusbacher, who helped develop two of the UK’s National Security Strategies as part of the National Security Secretariat and formerly headed the Strategic Horizons Unit in the UK Cabinet Office, told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday.
Nusbacher spoke a day after Iranian officials told European media that the regime planned to strike Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... if European countries allowed the US to use their bases to attack Iran.
Ahmad Bakhshayesh Ardestani, a member of the Iranian parliament’s security committee, told Euronews: "If America uses its bases in Europe, including in Italia and Germany, Iran’s missiles will be fired towards Europe... In the two previous wars, we did not do this, but this time, we will not let Europe’s assistance to America for an attack on Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... go without consequence."
On Wednesday, the Tehran municipality-owned Hamshahri published a map of Europe on its front page, marking 15 potential targets across countries stretching from Portugal to Romania. British, German, and Italian military bases were notably among those marked, including the UK’s RAF Fairford, which was reportedly targeted in an Iranian plot in recent months.
Despite acknowledging that Europe had not previously considered the prospect of a direct missile attack from Iran, Nusbacher argued that the threat of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) should not be a major concern.
"One of the most important things about Iran’s ICBMs is that they haven’t got any," she said.
In March, Iran launched two long-range ballistic missiles toward the joint US-UK military base on Diego Garcia, an island in the Indian Ocean located roughly 4,000 kilometers away. One missile failed during flight, while the second was intercepted by an SM-3 missile fired from a US warship after traveling beyond Iran’s self-declared 2,000-kilometer range limit.
"A few months ago, Iran demonstrated that they could put a stripped-down high explosive warhead onto a theater ballistic missile and send it most of the way to Diego Garcia Island, and possibly injured some fish in the Indian Ocean," Nusbacher explained. "People suggested at the time that, if you could send a theater ballistic missile with a high explosive warhead most of the way to Diego Garcia, you could sound a theater ballistic missile with a high explosive warhead to a target in Europe."
"This was part of the narrative that the United States and Israel were fighting a war in Iran that was solving a European problem," she continued. "Nobody in Europe, however, had to consider this a European problem. Nobody thought that the Iranians intended to attack European targets, particularly not NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... targets where they might provoke an Article 5 response from NATO. Nobody thought that the Iranians would be interested in damaging their relationships across Europe."
Although Iran may not possess ICBMs, a missile with a range of 2,000 kilometers could still reach parts of southeastern Europe, including Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania.
Fada Hossein Maleki, another member of the Iranian parliament’s security committee, told Euronews that Iran had prepared a new approach for any renewed conflict, which would surprise both the US and European countries.
"We were not worried about the Iranians crossing the nuclear threshold; we were not worried about the Iranian attacking us with ballistic missiles. At this point, the only reason we must view Iranian ballistic missiles as a threat is that they might shoot them at American bases in European countries, and miss," Nusbacher said.
CYBERATTACKS ACROSS EUROPE
Alongside the missile threats, Europe has faced a number of cyberattacks in recent weeks.
An attack disrupted refrigerators in Belgian branches of Carrefour, Intermarche, and Ikea, as well as Coop and ICA in Sweden, Delhaize in Luxembourg, Kesko in Finland, SuperValu in Ireland, and shops in Estonia. No group has yet grabbed credit for the incidents.
Notably, the attacks came after more than 30 countries, including the UK, La Belle France, and Germany, issued a joint statement condemning Iran’s activities across Europe and beyond. The countries pledged to "condemn in the strongest terms Iran’s use of violent mostly peaceful attacks, including the acts of lethal plotting, arson, sabotage, cyberattacks, and other hybrid activities against us and our partners."
Nusbacher insisted that, while Europeans had already been aware of the threat posed by Iranian subversion and the violence it sponsors, it must now take into account "the threat of Iranian ballistic missile attack, because European states are to a greater or lesser extent supporting operations against Iran and Russia."
"However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable... I think we do a good job in Europe of putting that risk into perspective," she added.
EU URGES 72-HOUR PREPAREDNESS
In response to growing concerns about the threat of complex crises, the European Civil Protection Forum and Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib presented new guidelines earlier this week, urging citizens to prepare for the first 72 hours of an emergency.
The guidelines recommend that households prepare emergency kits containing:
Three liters of drinking water per person, per day.
Non-perishable food requiring little or no cooking.
A manual can opener and basic eating utensils.
A battery-powered or hand-crank FM/AM radio.
A flashlight or torch, with spare batteries.
A fully charged external power bank and mobile phone charger.
A printed list of emergency numbers, family contacts, and utility providers.
A first-aid kit containing basic medical supplies, including bandages.
A three-day supply of essential prescription medications.
Wet wipes, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, and feminine hygiene or baby products.
Cash, identification documents, and spare keys.
A thermal blanket, sleeping bag, and warm clothing.
Lahbib also announced plans to establish an annual EU Preparedness Day, with the first edition scheduled for October 2027.
The initiatives build on a recently adopted European Commission recommendation on operational continuity and stress-testing, aimed at strengthening the resilience of national civil protection contact points across Europe.
“When disaster strikes, the first hours can make all the difference,” Lahbib said. “Every European should know what to do, how to protect their family, and how to help others. Preparedness starts in our homes, in our schools, in our communities. That is why we are giving people practical tools to prepare for crises, while strengthening the systems they rely on when emergencies hit."

Since 1979 the transformation of the entire world into an Islamic slave empire has been the official objective of the Iranian regime.
The regime doesn't even nominally recognize the sovereign existence of any Western nation, unlike the the Soviets who had been officially content with "Peaceful Coexistence" since Khrushchev.
The Iranian response to German FM Genscher's diplomatic outreach in the 1980s was unprecedented aggression and intimidation targeting Germany specifically.
Figuratively, Israel and the US might have reduced the Iranian terminator to a torso fragment crawling towards us, but the intent is still there.

[Rudaw] Thousands of displaced families and Arab settlers in Kirkuk are yet to receive constitutionally agreed compensation for Ba’athist-era deployment due to shortage of payments in a dispute that has been ongoing since 2003, a local official told Rudaw on Thursday.
“More than 7,000 displaced people have completed their paperwork and are ready to receive compensation under Article 140,” Kakarash Siddiq, head of the Kirkuk office for the implementation of Article 140, told Rudaw’s Hastyar Qadir, adding that the applications of another 60 displaced families are still being prepared.
The backlog also includes nearly 3,000 applications from Arab settlers who were brought to Kirkuk to alter the area’s demographic makeup under the former Baathist regime. Saddiq further explained that the paperwork of these families is ready, but these applicants too are still waiting for the compensation intended to help them return to their areas of origin.
This process was due to be completed by December 31, 2007. However, due to a series of issues, the latest of which being a lack of funds, the process is incomplete.
Article 140 refers to Baghdad’s constitutional process of reversing dictator Saddam Hussein’s policy of Arabization in areas such as Kirkuk. These Baathist policies displaced thousands of local Kurdish and Turkmen people and altered the area’s demography. Article 140 resolved to give both displaced people as well as Arab settlers financial compensation after 2003.
According to Article 140, each displaced person is eligible for 10 million Iraqi dinars. Arab settlers are entitled to 20 million dinars each and a plot of land in their original areas in exchange for leaving Kirkuk.

[Jpost] According to the report, Israel will need approximately $10 billion in additional funding to pay for existing orders after 2028, when the current US military aid agreement is set to expire.
[Jpost] "The major advantage of Israeli defense-tech developments is that most of them are combat-proven. These are not theoretical products," said senior defense manufacturing exec. Eitan Mandel.
[Jpost] Senior defense officials from the three countries agreed in Athens to create a trilateral working group for their defense industries and to boost cooperation on maritime security.
Senior defense officials from Israel, Greece and Cyprus met in Athens on Thursday and agreed to set up a joint working group for their defense industries, while declaring a recently ratified maritime agreement between The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... and Libya legally void, the Israeli Defense Ministry said.
The trilateral meeting brought together the heads of defense policy from the three ministries, along with other bigwigs, and focused on expanding military cooperation and on shared security challenges in the Eastern Mediterranean, according to a joint statement released by the ministry’s spokesperson.
The three countries called defense cooperation a central pillar of their partnership, building on the joint declaration adopted when their leaders met in Jerusalem on December 22, 2025. They also reiterated the leaders’ invitation for other like-minded countries to join the framework.
The talks covered regional security assessments, defense-industrial cooperation and innovation, maritime security, including the protection of sea lanes and critical infrastructure, and disaster preparedness and civil protection.
The officials agreed to establish a trilateral defense-industrial working group to foster partnerships among their defense industries, explore joint development and production, and improve interoperability between their militaries, the statement said.
REJECTING THE TURKEY-LIBYA PACT
The three ministries said the maritime memorandum between Turkey and Libya, which Libya’s House of Representatives ratified on October 20, infringes on the sovereign rights of third countries, ignores international norms on maritime jurisdiction, and cannot have any legal effect on other states.
They also voiced opposition to unilateral claims, coercion, threats of force and destabilizing military buildups, saying no country in the region should serve as a platform for actions that threaten regional security. The three reaffirmed their support for Cyprus’s illusory sovereignty and territorial integrity in line with UN Security Council resolutions, and stressed adherence to the law of the sea as reflected in customary international law.
ENERGY AND SHARED THREATS
The officials described energy cooperation as a pillar of regional stability and said they opposed attempts to obstruct it in violation of international law. They also stressed the importance of freedom of navigation and of protecting critical infrastructure and energy supply routes for Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East.
The sides pointed to shared threats including terrorism, the proliferation of advanced weapons and destabilizing activity by state and non-state actors across the region, and agreed to step up coordination against emerging threats.
The partnership, the statement said, is rooted in shared democratic values and complementary strategic interests and helps strengthen the links between Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... and the Middle East. The three ministries said cooperation, dialogue and respect for international law would allow the Eastern Mediterranean to become a region of "security, connectivity and sustainable prosperity."

What does the State Department Law of the Sea experts have to say on the Libya agreement?
[Jpost] Bomb threats against US synagogues fell from 1,009 in 2023 to 59 in 2025, but antisemitic attacks involving lethal weapons rose, according to a Diaspora Affairs Ministry report.
[Jpost] Eric Lee Boltz, 52, pleaded guilty to one count of cyberstalking after previously being charged with harassing Hawaii Governor Josh Green, the US Attorney's Office announced on Wednesday.
Green, who is Jewish, has served as Hawaii's governor since 2022.
Boltz, who currently resides in Montana, was originally charged in June. After pleading guilty, he was remanded into custody. His sentencing is scheduled for March 4, 2027, when he will face up to five years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, as well as a term of supervised release
According to court records, between December 4 and December 15, 2025, Boltz left nine threatening and antisemitic separate voicemails with Green's office. Disguising his voice, Boltz threatened to kill Green and his family and sexually assault his daughter.
"Ooh dumb f***ing Jew, you and your kids go in the oven and then you’ll be looking over your shoulder the rest of your f***ing life," a transcript of one of the voicemails read.
WANTED TO 'SHAKE GREEN UP'
When interviewed by law enforcement, Boltz confirmed that he had owned the phone number used to leave the voicemails for about a decade and that no one else had access to his devices.
Boltz told law enforcement that Green's office had blocked him on social media after he posted on the governor's Facebook page, and he was "frustrated" that he couldn't contact him. Boltz initially denied sending the voicemails but later admitted to them, saying he left them to “shake [Governor Green] up.”
He also described his actions as being “dumb” and said he “went a level higher than I should have.”
In his plea agreement, Boltz admitted that his motivation for the cyberstalking campaign stemmed from Green's official government position and religion.
The FBI is investigating the case, and Assistant US Attorney Barbara Eucker will prosecute it.
Florida man arrested for threatening life of Jewish Rep. Jared Moskowitz
Last month, a man was arrested in Boca Raton, Florida, for threatening the life of Jewish US Representative Jared Moskowitz.
“A constituent of mine has just been arrested in Boca Raton, just a few miles from my house, for threatening my life. He is currently in the Palm Beach County Jail,” Moskowitz said in a statement released Thursday afternoon.
According to sources who spoke with CBS News, the suspect left a voicemail at the Moskowitz Coral Springs office with the intent to inflict physical harm on the representative.
Moskowitz said he and his family were safe and that the suspect was in police custody, though their identity has not yet been made public.
