Saudi Arabia's air defences stop most Houthi missiles, but not the ones that matter

Text:

Saudi Arabia's air defences stop most Houthi missiles, but not the ones that matter, the Wall Street Journal reportedly says.

→ Over 90% of missiles aimed at protected areas are intercepted

→ More than half of all attacks have hit places with no air defence cover

So can a rich kingdom ever cover a country three times the size of Texas?
Why the shield has holes

→ A 1,300 km border and oil sites, airports and cities spread across the country

→ Riyadh's airport alone has been attacked at least 20 times, and interceptors are reportedly running low

Britain
BBC Claims French Riots Were ‘Mostly Peaceful' While Showing Country on Fire
[Breitbart] In an apparent attempt at a CNN impression, the BBC said the riots that swept France over the weekend were "mostly peaceful".

Social media users were quick to mock the British public broadcaster for "doing the thing" after a report from Paris correspondent and former professional rugby player, James Waterhouse, said in a televised report that the supposed protests over education and cost of living concerns were "mostly peaceful" as footage of rioters setting cars on fire and attacking police played in the background.

Waterhouse claimed that the protests were hijacked by an "opportunistic minority who came in and sought to rob and cause carnage".

Europe
President Trump predicts Paris is going to be a ‘Muslim City very soon' as riots, looting rage in France
[NYP] WASHINGTON — President Trump predicted Monday that Paris would become "a Muslim city very soon" as he accused immigrants of causing a shocking wave of rioting and looting.

Trump urged French President Emmanuel Macron to reduce migration into the country and "take those bad people out" — in apparent reference to his own mass-deportation campaign in the US.

"I told him a long time ago, ’You’re making a big mistake in France. You’re letting everybody from the world come in. The whole world was coming in,'" Trump told reporters as he departed the White House for a campaign rally in Kansas.

About 10% of France is Muslim, with a slightly higher percentage in Paris. Most are immigrants from or descendants of people from formerly French-ruled parts of Africa and the Middle East.

It has remained socially stable or free,
It has not exp increased violent crime,
It has a stable economical system,

So, what can the USA & Canada learn from this frequently repeated Liberal Agenda mistake?

Meloni Government to Deploy 500 Soldiers to Support Milan Police Against French-Style Youth Rioters
[Breitbart] Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s government in Rome is set to deploy 500 soldiers to the city of Milan to support local law enforcement after French-style youth riots broke out near the city’s Duomo Cathedral, resulting in widespread attacks on police and looting of high-end shops in the Italian fashion capital.

Italian Minister of Defence Guido Crosetto approved deploying 500 Italian soldiers to Milan on Monday amid a broader effort to clamp down on unrest that appeared to spread from France over the weekend, the local Corriere della Sera newspaper reported.

While the Council of Ministers will need to give final approval to the defence decree on Tuesday, Minister Crosetto said he has signed off on an “increase in military personnel to support the police forces in Milan.”

Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini described the move as a “victory” for his League (Lega) party, saying: “From words to deeds!”

It comes in the wake of central Milan descending into what has been described as “guerrilla war” on Saturday and Sunday as youths — often from migrant communities in the surrounding suburbs — clashed with police and looted during supposed protests over the cost of living. Over 200 police officers were injured during battles with the protesters.

Some suggested on social media that the Duomo Cathedral, the largest church in Italy, was targeted specifically as the site of the protest due to the heavily Islamic makeup of the self-described ‘Gaza Generation’ protesters.

Speaking to reporters on Monday outside the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump said that Italy was facing the same issues as France because of immigration, saying: “I told them all it was going to happen, that’s a boiler waiting to explode, it’s a very sad thing for me to watch… they came in by the millions, and honestly they are different countries than they were 10 years ago.”

In total, over 270 people, including 220 minors, were detained over the weekend, the Milan Police reported. So far, 11 are facing potential prison sentences of up to 15 years.

In addition to attacks on police, there was widespread damage done to public property, with over 280 street trash cans being damaged, including six “smart bins” which use waste compression technology powered with solar panels.

Milan’s AMSA waste management company reportedly mobilised 90 workers and 60 vehicles for the cleanup operation to clear debris and other garbage from the riots and looting.

Amid concerns about continued unrest, major clothing, jewellery, and other luxury goods shops closed early in Milan on Monday, including Chanel, Hermès, Gucci, Prada, Saint Laurent, and Versace, among others.

Corriere della Sera quoted a passerby, who said of the shop closures: “It feels like we’re at war.”
And so they are.

Deputy PM Salvini said that it is imperative to restore order and prevent rioters from retaking control of the Duomo square, saying: “Even symbols make a difference. As a Milanese, I’m disturbed: Milan is a welcoming and international city, and the images of Piazza Duomo on fire have gone around the world.”

As in France, the far left seems more concerned with the fate of the rioters, including Italian Left (Sinistra Italiana) Member of the European Parliament Ilaria Salis.

Salis, who was previously convicted in Hungary for involvement in an Antifa hammer gang attack but who avoided prison after being elected to the EU Parliament in Italy, said: “I’m concerned about the minors arrested. Their rights must be respected; we’re not in a police state. I express my concern about the situation of those stopped and detained—it is unclear where—including numerous minors with a migrant background.:

“Even if some of the young people detained had committed crimes —a circumstance that will need to be verified by the appropriate authorities— this would in no way deprive them of their fundamental rights, which must be guaranteed and respected without exception.”

If the defence decree is approved on Tuesday, law enforcement will gain special powers, including the ability to detain minors for over 12 hours and to impose bans on gatherings deemed a threat to public order

Macron, fascinated by Ukraine, has given up on the unrest in France
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited
by Olesya Orlenko

[Regnum] Demonstrations by teachers and students in French schools that began in October 2026 escalated into mass protests, accompanied by pogroms and riots.

Some journalists and experts in France and around the world see this as an attempt by certain political forces to sow chaos. Others point to it as a logical development of the systemic crisis the country is currently experiencing.

But both sides agree on one thing: what is happening shows that President Emmanuel Macron has ceased to represent the people he leads.

On October 18, the French president addressed the nation. From his first words, the head of state expressed a feeling of "anger" and "shame" that he and, he said, all French people felt when they saw the images showing the aftermath of the destruction in various cities. “We all ask ourselves: how could the French do this?" he said, with the utmost seriousness.
Some of it is native French, who do love their protesting Communist cadres. A lot of it is Moslem colonists merrily committing jihad on the natives, like that silly shopkeeper who protested her support even as they looted her shop in front of her, and probably worse.
It's ironic when you consider that during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games, which, according to Macron himself, "brought glory to France," spectators were encouraged to admire the symbolically represented bloody side of the French Revolution and the execution of members of the royal family.

Current events are more reminiscent of the student unrest of 1968 than of a revolution.
The student unrest of 1968 was meant by Moscow to be a revolution, or at least set up the conditions for it, after which the Soviet Union would add another brotherly Communist revolutionary government to its conquests. Somehow it didn’t work then, thank goodness, but if it does now the result will not belong to Russia, in the end, but to the Ummah.
However, the protesters' discontent is directed personally at the president, whose policies are seen as the cause of the specific problems that brought the demonstrators to the streets.
That’s because they see him as the weak point, for some reason.
Homemade posters held by protesters accused Macron and called on him to come out to the people. Meanwhile, calls to storm the presidential residence were heard from the crowd.

The fact that Macron is at the center of popular discontent is confirmed by yet another record low in his popularity. Only 15% of French people have a positive opinion of him.

As a result, the vast majority of the population assesses the economic situation extremely negatively. According to the latest data, 91% of French people are pessimistic or "extremely pessimistic" about the country's situation. And these sentiments are reflected in specific trends.

For example, young French people are increasingly leaving the country in search of better wages and an accessible labor market. However, a significant portion of those who have left have no plans to return, believing that problems at home will not be resolved in the near future.

Here again, it is appropriate to recall with a degree of irony that in his first presidential term, which began in 2017, Macron positioned himself as a spokesman for the interests of young people, being the youngest head of state: at the time of taking office, he was not yet 40 years old.

However, if we analyze the statements he has made over the past ten years, we get the impression that he rather distrusts representatives of this age group.

In that same address to the nation, Macron never once mentioned his own guilt for what is happening. Meanwhile, even his own supporters are increasingly trying to distance themselves from his policies.

Thus, former Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire, a member of the president's Renaissance party, said that responsibility for the current crisis lies with the personal decisions of the head of state. And former Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, a candidate for Macron's party in the 2027 elections, stated in response to the current unrest that he "does not understand" the president's actions.

The French President also expressed support for the security forces, who have been opposing the protesters throughout. However, both the actions of law enforcement and the organization of their work have also been harshly criticized.

Government and administrative buildings were damaged in many cities. Images of the burning city hall in Limoges were seen around the world. Mayor Benoît Paillant of Marseille, where protesters also stormed the city hall, condemned the central authorities for their "inability to ensure order and tranquility" for residents.

Interior Minister Laurent Nunez took the fall for the security forces' failure to respond to the protests, blaming himself for "losing control" of the situation. Macron, for his part, placed the blame for the unrest on the far-left groups that had gained control of the streets.

The protests themselves are extremely heterogeneous, with high school student leaders emerging from various political camps. The authorities are already in contact with some of them. For example, on October 15, Education Minister Edouard Geffrey met with a delegation of schoolchildren led by Pierre Surzat, a 17-year-old student who is speaking out against the escalation of the protests.

And Louise Montangon, a supporter of the National Rally and a member of the student union, entered into a debate with Attal on television, accusing him of connivance and of worsening the situation in France.

At the same time, the authorities understand that, other than promises that virtually no one believes, they have no other recourse when dealing with the protesting population. The only remaining option is to intensify repression. Harsh police action is accompanied by the prospect of restrictions on freedom of speech and assembly. For example, Attal has officially declared the need to block social media to impede communication between protesters.

And again, it seems ironic if we recall how enthusiastically the French media and authorities hailed the role of students fighting against the “bad” government during the coup d’état in Ukraine in 2014 or during the anti-Russian demonstrations in Georgia.

Meanwhile, even those media outlets that have been extremely negative in their coverage of the protests are questioning how little effort the head of state is making to end them. Aside from the aforementioned televised address, Macron hasn't engaged in dialogue with the people, leaving all the dirty work to the government and loyal parliamentarians.

Moreover, on October 16, journalists captured footage of him and his wife attending a Celine Dion concert, dancing and singing along to their favorite tunes and songs. This fact outraged even the most conservative experts.

The French aren't the only ones trying to explain the president's baffling behavior. The international press has been discussing a point that has been voiced many times: Macron has long since shifted his focus to foreign policy, including support for Ukraine, because domestically, he's been plagued by nothing but failures.

And he sees no prospects for emerging from the “endless twilight” that covers France today.

Amid chaos in France, Trump called on the country to immediately close its borders
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited
[Regnum] Amid mass unrest in France,US President Donald Trump called on local authorities to immediately close their borders to migrants.

"Migrants are flooding France. They must close the borders immediately," the American leader wrote on the social network TruthSocial.

Mass protests in France began back in September. Schoolchildren were the first to take to the streets, dissatisfied with the shortage of teachers, overcrowded schedules, and the poor condition of educational institutions. By October 17, protests had spread across various French cities, attracting up to 500,000 people. The demonstrations escalated into clashes with police and riots. Law enforcement detained more than 1,800 people, and over 500 police officers were injured.

On October 19, French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced that a partial curfew would be imposed in several cities across the country. He also added that a state of emergency could be declared if necessary.

For his part, French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez acknowledged that the mass unrest had gotten out of control. He said the police presence was disproportionate to the number of people on the streets. The minister took responsibility for the incident and attempted to resign, but President Emmanuel Macron refused.

Russia has condemned the French authorities' brutal suppression of the protests. Russia's Permanent Representative to the OSCE, Dmitry Polyansky, stated that Macron, with his meager social approval rating, is attempting to silence schoolchildren. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova noted that the Élysée Palace is failing to respond to the police's unjustified harsh actions.
Oh no — the police actions are absolutely justified, and not nearly harsh enough to put down this highly organized urban insurrection.

Over 300K visas revoked so far in Trump's second term, State Department announces
[NYP] WASHINGTON — The Trump administration has revoked more than 300,000 visas since the 47th president took office last year, The Post has learned.

A State Department official said that the revocations were done as a consequence for criminal activity, threats to public safety or immigration violations such as fraud or misrepresentation.

At least 4,000 visas were yanked from foreign nationals “who engage in or facilitated birth tourism,” the official noted.

“With over 300,000 revocations, the Trump administration has revoked more visas at a faster pace than any administration in history,” added State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott.

“Let the message be clear: we have zero tolerance for foreigners here on visas who break the law, commit fraud, or undermine our national security. We are taking, and will continue to take, action to keep our borders, and our nation, secure.”

The nationalities of those who had their visa revoked was not immediately clear.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
'Raids on the Groves.' Israeli Settlers Even Beat Diplomats
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited
by Leonid Tsukanov

[Regnum] The West Bank is once again in turmoil. Radical Israeli settlers are escalating local violence, disrupting the olive harvest in local groves.

Incidentally, the escalating conflict is affecting not only Palestinians but also Western citizens who were "lucky" enough to be nearby during the latest raid. Neither journalist credentials nor, as recently revealed, diplomatic immunity and EU representative status protect them from reprisals.

However, the Israeli leadership, judging by everything, doesn't yet see this as a major disaster. And the foreign victims, to paraphrase Gogol, are repeatedly "beating themselves up."

"THIS IS OUR LAND"
Clashes in the West Bank—which Israel considers its historical land and has no intention of sharing with the local Palestinian population—are nothing new. Representatives of the local settler movement regularly raid local farms and villages.

Particularly popular are the so-called "grove raids," during which militant youths damage olive groves (breaking and uprooting trees) and threaten local farmers with injury, in an attempt to force them to abandon dangerous lands and cede territory for settlement expansion.

In 2026, since the start of the olive harvest season (September 27), approximately 400 attacks on olive groves and local farmers have been recorded in the West Bank—2.5 times more than in 2025. More than half of these resulted in physical injuries to Palestinians (an increase of almost fourfold compared to the previous year).

Incidentally, raids on groves aren't the only thing going on—radical settlers are also attempting to undermine other aspects of the traditional Palestinian economy. For example, they threatened to slaughter all the livestock in the Kafr Malik area (and, to demonstrate their seriousness, slaughtered at least 20 sheep belonging to Palestinians).

For a long time, these incidents attracted little attention or remained confined to local news. However, on October 17, the "olive incidents" unexpectedly gained global attention.

On this day, a large group of diplomats and officials from France, Belgium, and Poland arrived in the vicinity of the Palestinian village of Taybeh (where the majority of the population is Christian). Among them were representatives of the Catholic Church, who decided to support the laity during this difficult time, especially since the latter had repeatedly received threats from Israeli settlers who had settled nearby.

However, the symbolic support tour didn't go according to plan. Before the foreign group could join the local farmers, a group of young men in balaclavas appeared on the horizon. The attackers first pelted the procession with stones, then began smashing cars (including the window of the Belgian embassy's special vehicle) and attacking the diplomats.

Bernard Baudoux, the mayor of the French town of Aulnoy-Eymery, was the most severely injured. He was picking olives with Palestinians at the time of the attack and was closest to the epicenter of the brawl. The settlers pushed him several times, and when he tried to get into his car, they knocked him to the ground and beat him.

Archbishop Vincent Dollmann of Cambrai, France, also narrowly escaped with his life. Unlike Bodou, he and his wife
…not a Catholic, then…
managed to find shelter in a vehicle. The Palestinians (including women) in the grove were much less fortunate—at least two had to be hospitalized due to the seriousness of their injuries.

"IT'S NOT THAT CLEAR-CUT."
The incident sparked outrage across Europe, with most EU member states condemning the growing wave of unmotivated violence in the Jewish state, which is increasingly becoming systemic and tacitly sanctioned by the state.

Europeans didn't have to look far for more examples: just the day before, American journalist Heidi Levin, a staff photographer for The Washington Post (WP), was injured near the village of Abu Falah. A group of young settlers threw her to the ground and beat her with sticks and kicks. She required major surgery.

In response to the outrage from WP representatives, the Israelis responded succinctly: the situation is ambiguous and could be part of a smear campaign against Israel and the settlers. The public investigation stalled, but after the Taybeh incident, demands were placed on the Israeli authorities to implement a "package" response to all incidents—even if they did not involve EU citizens or other foreigners.

Under public pressure, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office was forced to issue a comment. In an official statement released to the media, the incident was called a "flagrant violation," and the army, police, and Shin Bet were already investigating.

True, the formal apologies and condemnations of "unknown troublemakers" were accompanied by Westerners' countercriticism. The Israelis were quick to point out that the foreign diplomats' visit to Tayyip Erdogan had not been coordinated with the army and intelligence services, and therefore they themselves bear some responsibility for the incident.

There were also hints that what happened was "not so clear-cut," and that European officials and diplomats could themselves have provoked local settlers, who were already nervous about the "constant threat from Hamas."

This framing of the issue further angered Europeans. The EU publicly demanded that those responsible be held accountable and that effective measures be taken to prevent further violence. Otherwise, Brussels threatened to take "its own measures."

However, the effectiveness of these "personal measures"—which most likely referred to personal sanctions and entry bans into the EU for individual settlers and their leaders—has long since been exhausted. This is especially true given that a significant portion of the newly-crowned "personae non gratae" never leave Israeli territory.

However, the anger of European bureaucrats plays well into their political prestige, which settler leaders (including current Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir ) are eager to convert into points in the upcoming parliamentary elections. This only contributes to their tacit support for settlement raids in the West Bank.

More stringent and consistent measures from Brussels could break the vicious circle, hitting Israel's wallet and forcing the Netanyahu government to cool the radicals' ardor somewhat.

However, there is currently no consolidated position within Europe on Israel, and even major players like France are wary of the potential image costs of pressuring the Jewish state. This allows settlers to raid without facing any real consequences for themselves or the state.

#1  G*d created Arabs to toughen us up for when we'll have to fight other Goyim.
Or so I heard claimed once - at the time I've dismissed it as nonsense.

Goy (plural: goyim) is a Hebrew and Yiddish term for a gentile or non-Jew.

Etymology and Meaning

• Biblical Hebrew: In the Hebrew Bible, the word goy originally meant "nation" or "people", referring to any ethnic group sharing a language—including the Israelites themselves (sometimes referred to as a goy kadosh, or holy nation) as well as other nations.

• Evolution: Over time in post-biblical and Yiddish usage, the term narrowed to specifically designate an individual who is not Jewish.

• Tone and Usage: While it can be used neutrally or casually in Yiddish and cultural contexts (such as shabbos goy for someone performing tasks on the Sabbath, or goyish for non-Jewish things), it can also carry disparaging or pejorative overtones

#5  Vive la France!

I read the trees that were being harvested were off limits in Zone C and that's why the settlers were upset.

#6  Goy is so 90s'. All the cool kids are saying:

Goyslop.

The term originates from far-right online spaces, primarily 4chan around 2016 (which was/is funded by usaid money and closet jews), and is rooted in an antisemitic conspiracy theory. Adherents of this theory claim that global institutions, media corporations, and food industries are secretly controlled by Jewish elites. Under this framing, "goyslop" is deliberately manufactured and pushed onto non-Jewish people "goy cattle" to keep them unhealthy, docile, distracted, and easily manipulated.

#8  Goyim is the original Hebrew, in which language Israel is also a goy, a nation.

Goyslop is as creative an insult as the Jooooooos or juices. They’re like the idiots who think they’re being clever when they finger-paint with their own poop.

Iran regime under pressure as rebel groups escalate attacks in volatile southeast
[FOX] A new coalition of Iranian opposition groups in the restive southeastern provinces of Sistan and Baluchistan and Kerman in the Islamic Republic have launched a string of armed attacks against the clerical regime in the region.

The six strikes claimed by the coalition known as the People’s Fighters Front (JMM) have contributed to instability in the provinces, raising pressing questions about whether armed resistance against the clerical regime in Tehran will spread and if the regime can retain control over Sistan and Baluchistan, which is a majority Iranian Sunni province.

Iran is largely a Shiite Muslim country, and the minority Iranian Sunni population has faced discrimination over the decades. Sistan and Baluchistan is the second largest of the 31 Iranian provinces.
