DHS Buys Four Jails in California for $950 Million
[Breitbart] The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) purchased an immigration detention complex in Southern California for $950 million, adding to the Trump administration’s acquisitions of facilities used by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

GEO Group announced the sale Monday. The deal includes Adelanto East, Adelanto West, and the Desert View Annex. The three facilities have a combined 2,644 beds.

Adelanto East and West together form the 1,940-bed Adelanto ICE Processing Center. The Desert View Annex has another 704 beds.

The purchase follows the administration’s acquisition of four CoreCivic detention facilities for more than $2.2 billion, as Breitbart News reported in August.

DHS paid $734 million for the 1,600-bed Prairie Correctional Facility in Minnesota and the 1,033-bed Midwest Regional Reception Center in Kansas. That deal followed a $1.5 billion purchase of the California City Detention Facility and Otay Mesa Detention Center in California.

CoreCivic is expected to keep operating all four facilities through its existing ICE agreements after the federal government took ownership.

DHS previously said buying the California properties would help protect ICE’s detention network from state officials’ efforts to restrict private detention facilities.

Congress approved $45 billion for immigration detention last year through President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act, providing funding for the administration’s purchases.

Under the Adelanto deal, GEO will transfer the properties to the federal government but expects to continue operating them through its ICE contract.

The current contract term ends Dec. 19, 2029. A five-year option could extend the agreement through Dec. 19, 2034.

The Florida-based company is also pursuing sales of other facilities to ICE. Those transactions would depend on an agreed price and GEO retaining long-term contracts to operate the properties. The company said no final agreements or firm closing dates are in place for additional sales.

The company plans to continue supporting the federal government’s immigration enforcement efforts. George C. Zoley, GEO’s Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and founder, said:

We are pleased with the completion of these important asset sales to the U.S. federal government, and we look forward to continuing to provide high-quality secure support services under our existing long-term contracts with ICE. We are proud of our 40-year public-private partnership with ICE, and we stand ready to continue to assist the federal government in meeting its immigration enforcement priorities. We remain focused on allocating capital to enhance long-term value for shareholders, including through share repurchases.

During an August shareholder call, Zoley said ICE was considering buying more than ten facilities and that the number could increase.

He explained that GEO considers ownership of the buildings and the work of operating them separate parts of its business. The company wants to sell properties while keeping the service contracts.

“We are pursuing a potential sale of the buildings, but we want to retain the business,” Zoley told shareholders.

Day 7: Shin Bet agents participating in interrogation of flydubai terrorist in UAE
Day 6 can be seen here.
[IsraelTimes] Source briefed on Emirati probe says Omani copilot considered trying to crash plane during a flight to Tel Aviv earlier this year, but opted not to; Trump ‘personally’ believes Iran responsible for attack attempt

Shin Bet agents are participating in the interrogation of the copilot who attempted to carry out a terror attack aboard a flydubai flight last week, The Times of Israel has learned. Interrogators from Israel’s domestic security agency flew to the United Arab Emirates to participate in the questioning of Hamam al-Hammami,
…29 year old pilot with a complicated resumé as each employer noticed his extreme piety and fondness for the odder corners of the internet…
in a development approved for publication on Monday by Israeli security officials. The Shin Bet has declined to comment so far.

The copilot, Omani national Hamam al-Hammami, has told UAE interrogators he planned to crash the flight into Ben Gurion Airport before he was hired by the Dubai-owned airline, according to two Israeli officials with knowledge of the probe.

A third source briefed on the UAE probe said al-Hammami also operated a flight to Tel Aviv earlier this year and had considered hijacking and crashing the plane then, but opted not to. It was not immediately clear why the co-pilot changed his mind on that previous flight, although the co-pilot is thought to have known someone onboard, the source said.

The two Israeli officials said the co-pilot told interrogators that he had applied for a job at Dubai state-owned flydubai after searching for airlines that fly to Tel Aviv.

The third source said Israel was being continuously updated about the investigation from the UAE.

Disaster on board the Dubai-Tel Aviv flight was averted after passengers and crew subdued al-Hammami, who attacked the captain, Indian national Smit Machchhar,
…39, husband, father, Hindu Indian national from Mumbai who lives in Dubai as an Emirati citizen, and stone cold hero…
with the aircraft’s crash axe. Machchhar survived the attack and has been hailed as a hero for managing to open the cockpit door. The plane was carrying more than 170 passengers and crew, most of them Israeli.

Israel has said it does not believe any other members of the flydubai aircrew were involved in al-Hammami’s attempt to crash the plane, according to Channel 12 news.

Crew members were questioned by Sherlocks in the UAE, and they concluded that the other crew members were not involved. The aircrew members were questioned at Israel’s request, after some passengers reported what they considered strange behavior by other aircrew members. The crew members acknowledged they were shocked and rattled by the unfolding attack.

Israel, the report said, shares the UAE Sherlocks’ conclusions.

The network also reported, without sourcing, that the Omani copilot told his interrogators that he was acting "in Dire Revenge for Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
," and "I wanted to die as a martyr."
Instead he’ll probably spend the rest of his life in a UAE prison, and what a delightful thought that is.
Channel 12 also quoted two sources saying a Mosssd
...sees all, knows all, gets 'em all in the end...
official told Israeli cabinet ministers on Sunday that the al-Hammami made brief visits in recent years to several countries that are hostile to Israel.

"We are checking whether, during those visits, an individual or an organization of any kind activated or recruited him," a Mossad representative was quoted as saying.

The copilot’s precise motive and whether he acted alone remained under investigation.

US President Donald Trump
...So far he's been unkillable, and they've tried....
however, when asked Wednesday if he thought Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
was responsible for the flydubai attack, responded, "I do. I personally do."

Trump did not elaborate on how he reached that assessment and said Iran would be hit "very hard" if it was found to have been involved.

But US Vice President JD Vance said he had not seen conclusive evidence tying Iran to the attack, saying that he would defer to Central Intelligence Agency Director John Ratcliffe and other officials.

"I don’t want to get ahead of any announcements there," Vance added. "It’s certainly something we’re looking at, but I wouldn’t say I’ve seen anything conclusive just yet."

Asked about whether he is concerned about foreign pilots flying in the US, Vance said, "Anytime you have any person coming from outside the United States, you’ve got to be extra careful that that person is actually a good human being and is going to contribute to American society.

"That’s the story of the 9/11 terrorist attack — We brought a lot of people into the United States of America who shouldn’t have been here and certainly shouldn’t have been flying planes," he claimed.

"The interesting thing about that (flydubai) story is we knew that guy was a problem — meaning not United States intelligence — but if you look historically, that person should not have been flying an airline," Vance continued.

"So we’re certainly looking at our procedures within the United States to make sure that people who are obviously flight risks are not getting behind the wheel of an airplane," he added.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said the copilot underwent Islamist radicalization, but added that it was too early to determine whether Iran was behind the attack.
PJ Media adds:
In fact, the Omani pilot was a Muslim terrorist whom Israeli authorities have confirmed received jihadi radicalization, and it looks as if he did target a plane full of Israelis specifically because he wants Muslim Arabs to recolonize Israel.

Guy Azriel, a diplomatic correspondent for i24News, posted the update on October 1. “An Emirati source reveals that among the belongings of the Omani co-pilot were leaflets and publications from ‘Free Palestine’ groups, as well as pro-Palestinian material,” he wrote on X.

Azriel continued, “The pilot had repeatedly expressed support for the Palestinians and hostility toward Israel. This is consistent with the broader investigation, which is examining the co-pilot’s Islamic radicalisation and possible terrorist motives.”

Israel was ready to shoot down flydubai flight, scrambled jets before calling them off — report
[IsraelTimes] Israeli sources tell CBS News that Israel was ready to shoot down flydubai Flight 1073 with all passengers onboard after the Omani copilot attacked the captain, scrambling fighter jets before calling them off as the plane went to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia.

The sources say that as part of a protocol for a potential 9/11-style incident, the Israeli Air Force sought to contact the cockpit after the plane made a sharp plunge, but didn’t receive an answer. A committee formed in advanced was then swiftly convened and a command center was set up, as fighter jets were scrambled and Israel closed its airspace, according to the report.

The warplanes were called back however once Israel realized that the plane was turning to Saudi Arabia, which had scrambled its own fighter jets.

The sources add that if the flight got closer, Israel would have dispatched planes into Jordan’s airspace to investigate. The IAF pilots would have then sought to get as close to the cockpit as they could in an effort to establish visual contact and size up the situation, before doing likewise for the cabin to determine if there was any panic among the passengers.

After checking in on the plane, the IAF would update the committee, which the sources say would in turn contact the defense minister and prime minister if the plane had been hijacked and the terrorists weren’t responding. Ultimately, the decision to shoot down the plane would rest with the prime minister, an outcome the sources quoted by CBS News say would’ve been preferable than having it crash into Ben Gurion Airport, the Azrieli Center in Tel Aviv or another “high-value target.”

Turkey condemns Israeli activities along Sufa 53 Line in Syria
[North Press] Turkey condemned on Monday Israel’s renewed activities in Syria’s Quneitra Governorate, particularly recent work along the “Sufa 53 Line,” calling them violations of international law and the 1974 disengagement agreement.

Burhanettin Duran, head of the Communications Directorate at the Turkish Presidency, said Israel’s resumption of activities along what he called the “Sufa 53 Line” in Quneitra “constitutes a new violation that blatantly disregards international law and the 1974 disengagement agreement.”

He said the actions were “unacceptable,” accusing Israel of continuously escalating tensions in the region and seeking to expand its occupation. Duran called on Israel to halt what he described as violations of Syrian territory and immediately withdraw from occupied areas.

The “Sufa 53 Line” refers to an Israeli engineering and military project in the Quneitra countryside near the separation line with the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. The project includes a fortified military road, earth embankments, trenches and observation posts along the route, according to the report.

Trump clears way for Fort Hood terrorist to face Army firing squad nearly 17 years after massacre
[FoxNews] Secretary of War Pete Hegseth recommended the execution nearly 17 years after Hasan killed 13 people in 2009

President Donald Trump has cleared the way for the Fort Hood terrorist to face an Army firing squad, Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell announced Monday, nearly 17 years after a deadly rampage.

"Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has recommended — and President Donald J. Trump has approved — death by U.S. Army firing squad for convicted terrorist Nidal Malik Hasan,
…American-born child of Palestinian immigrants, he trained as a psychiatrist in the American taxpayers’ dime, encouraged by Al Qaeda in Yemen’s Anwar al-Awlaki, his threatening words repeatedly raised concerns about his anti-American approval of jihad that were ignored by his senior officers as career-threatening anti-Moslem prejudice until the day he brought a handgun with a laser sight to work as his unit prepped for their next deployment…
the jihadist who opened fire on unarmed American soldiers at Fort Hood in 2009," Parnell wrote on X. "He killed 13 people and wounded 32 others while shouting 'Allahu Akbar' during the attack. "

Nidal Malik Hasan, a former army officer, killed 13 people and wounded 32 others in the 2009 attack at Fort Hood, shouting "Allahu Akbar" as he opened fire.

Where the death penalty has been used before and since that attack, Hasan's death, if carried out, will mark the first time a president has successfully signed off on a U.S. military execution since 1961, a penalty reserved for members of the U.S. military as the gravest use of a court-marshal under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Pvt. John Bennett was last executed by hanging on April 13, 1961, after he attempted to murder an 11-year-old girl in Austria. President George W. Bush also approved of a military execution but was stopped by a federal court in 2008.

In Hasan's case, he took a pistol and a 0.357 revolver with him to a mosque where he attended noon prayers. He then drove to a a soldier readiness processing facility, an administrative building, full of what Hasan knew were going to be unarmed soldiers. After shouting "Allahu Akbar," Hasan unloaded into "the greatest density of soldiers," according to witness statements.

"I shot to kill," Hasan told the Sanity Board report.

Hasan was eventually detained after engaging in a fire fight with law enforcement, sustaining multiple gun wounds. He was apprehended and rushed to intensive care. According to the sanity report, he denied experiencing depressive, manic, psychotic, anxiety or cognitive symptoms during the attack.

Hasan was court marshaled four years later and sentenced to death.

"In Hasan's sentencing, lead prosecutor Col. Michael Mulligan rested the government's case on the morning of Aug. 27, after two days of emotional testimony from surviving widows and parents of some of those murdered, Nov. 5, 2009," the Army's press release stated.

"One of the witnesses, Joleen Cahill, said her husband, retired Chief Warrant Officer Michael Cahill, had given his life in an effort to stop Hasan. She spoke of the devastation experienced by her family in the time following the shooting."

As a part of the press release, the Ford Hood Public Affairs Office explained that Hasan's case would be automatically appealed, a part of the process for any death sentence.

"Given that the death sentence was imposed, the military justice system requires this case to be automatically appealed to the U.S. Army Criminal Court of Appeals and then to the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces," the press release added.

After a court upheld the death sentence in early 2025, representation for Hasan appealed to the Supreme Court, citing procedural objections to how the trial was run, but that review was denied.

In the time since, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth recommended the execution. With President Trump's approval, the Army secretary will set the execution's time and place, Parnell, the Pentagon spokesperson, said.

"Judgment day for Hasan has finally come," Parnell wrote.
Courtesy of Frank G, The New York Post has a more recent, bearded photo of Dr. Hasan, adding:
In February, Army officials reportedly circulated a plan to coordinate with the Federal Bureau of Prisons to carry out the executions of Hasan and the military’s three other death-row inmates.

Under the plan, dubbed “Operation Resolute Justice,” the death-row prisoners would be transferred to a facility in Indiana, where the executions would take place, according to ABC News.

Hasan, a former Army major and psychiatrist, opened fire on troops who were standing in line to receive immunizations at Fort Hood.

The attack ended when Hasan was shot in the back and left paralyzed by a responding police officer.

At trial, Hasan told a military judge that he was defending “the leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the Taliban.”

In 2021, amid the chaotic US withdrawal from Afghanistan, Hasan wrote a letter cheering on the Taliban.

“We Have Won!!!” Hasan wrote in the missive, according to Fox News.

“All-Praises be to All-Mighty Allah! Congratulations on your victory over those who hate for the Laws of All-Mighty God to be supreme on the land,” he added. “I pray to Allah that He helps you implement Shariah Law fully, correctly, and fairly.”

Maintain Awareness Tuesday and Wednesday-Sundance thinks RAF base kerfluffle was a rehearsal-hence the evac of aircraft
[ConservativeTreehouse] It’s likely nothing unless you travel a lot. However, it would be prudent to maintain heightened situational awareness on Tuesday (6th) and Wednesday (7th).

There is a better than average likelihood the RAF Fairford base attack was going to coincide on Oct 6 or 7 with what the French provocateurs are calling a “National Day of Action.” The U.K terrorist network was simply caught in the rehearsal phase.

October 7th is the anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel.

The “Red‑Green Alliance” refers to a tactical partnership between far‑left movements (“red”) and Islamist movements (“green”), rooted in shared opposition to Western institutions, capitalism, the U.S., and Israel, rather than shared values.

It is not a single organization, but rather a recurring pattern historically, especially during the 1979 Iranian Revolution, and in modern Western activism and politics. The western media support the RED side, and the Muslim Brotherhood represents the GREEN side.

Islamists love to celebrate anniversaries and random dates they assign to historic grievances. The Brotherhood exploits the radical elements’ general lack of intelligence and simultaneously stimulates the autonomic emotional nerve. Spend any amount of time talking to a Turk, and they can cite multiple grievances with dates. For multiple years Turkey has been in a co-dependent relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood (AQAP, al-Qaeda, al-Nusra, ISIS, etc.).

Turkish President Erdogan, a NATO member, manages the Brotherhood sensibility better than most.
Eh? President Erdogan closely follows the Brüderbund template and supports fellow Brotherhooders Hamas, both in Turkey and in Gaza — he doesn’t fight against it.
Jordan’s King Abdullah also does it well; while Egypt’s President Fattah al-Sisi gave up trying and just banned them outright.
Of course al-Sisi banned them — they’re competition. He heads the military faction that displaced the Brotherhood over a decade ago.
Qatar is the banking agency for the Muslim Brotherhood. Oman and Yemen have severe factions as noted in the FlyDubai airline incident and the Houthis respectively. In Africa, AQIM, another Brotherhood chapter,
…Al Qaeda in the Maghreb/North Africa is Muslim Brotherhood? When did that happen?
carries the banner for the greater Palestinian cause, the primary grievance for 2026.

In France the Palestinian flag is being waved in each of the migrant uprisings and riots. While in the U.K the hatred for Israel is a sentiment second only to the support for the Palestinians.

Europe has imported millions of radical extremists. The background for the RAF Fairford terrorist event did not happen overnight; the sentiment has been building. However, that said, Obama/Biden imported mass numbers of Muslim Brotherhood sympathizers, so it would be well worth paying attention as the next 48 hours of anniversary celebration may indeed result in some form of Islamic terrorist attack.

Keep this context and perspective with you over the next few days.

Remember, if you see something – make sure you are in a personally secure response posture and then alert authorities to your concern.

If you are in the U.K or France, better to stay inside.

The Lancers have flown away
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] The Lancers have departed. The US has withdrawn 12 B-1 Lancer bombers from the British air force base at Fairford "due to a security threat." This follows the detention of five British citizens who were preparing something near the base. Most likely, a false flag operation was being prepared (either the British or the Israelis), which would likely be blamed on Iran, in order to create an additional pretext for the upcoming escalation of the war in the Middle East.
An interesting take, more imaginative that one expects from an intelligence analyst...
Most likely, this was carried out without the US's knowledge, which is why the aircraft that participated in the strikes on Iran were urgently ferried back to the US. However, I wouldn't rule out the possibility that some kind of false flag attack will be organized in the near future to justify a new attack on Iran, most likely after the US midterm elections.

Although it's possible that it will be carried out before the elections, to justify Trump's failure in the Middle East, as if to say, "look at the evil we're fighting."

Another important point: there won't be three carrier strike groups in the Middle East. CENTCOM announced that the USS George Bush's carrier strike group is leaving the theater and will be replaced by a carrier strike group led by the USS Theodore Roosevelt. A carrier strike group led by the USS Abraham Lincoln is also operating in the theater. While they can certainly fire at Iran, this is certainly not enough for a "decisive victory."

Especially since the US has lost the ability to operate some bases in the region.

Katz: IDF has killed two-thirds of Oct. 7 perpetrators, will eliminate remaining 2,000
Go team!
[IsraelTimes] Defense minister, citing military’s latest figures, says 4,000 of 6,000 terrorists who invaded Israel during Hamas-led attack have been killed

Some 4,000 bully boyz who invaded Israel during the October 7 onslaught three years ago have been killed to date, Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Monday.

"Six thousand bully boyz crossed the border into Israel on October 7 and carried out the atrocities. Of them, 4,000 have been killed so far, leaving another 2,000," he said in a statement.

The figures cited by Katz were presented by Military Intelligence Directorate chief Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder during a cabinet meeting on Sunday night.

According to previous assessments by the Israel Defense Forces, around 5,600 bully boyz invaded Israel on October 7, 2023, and between 1,200 and 1,600 of them were killed inside Israeli territory during the Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
-led attack. The latest figures put the number of bully boyz who participated in the onslaught at 6,000.

Another 300 alleged perpetrators have been captured by Israel and await judgment by special military tribunals, which have yet to be set up.

Thousands of the bully boyz returned to the Strip following the massacre, and, according to the latest figures, around 2,400 were killed in the subsequent fighting or after they were targeted by Israel.

As reported in July by The Times of Israel, the IDF and Shin Bet have devoted significant time and resources to eliminating the bully boyz who took part in the October 7 atrocities, in which some 1,200 people were killed and 251 taken hostage.

Officers of a special joint IDF-Shin Bet unit, dubbed "Nili," have painstakingly worked over the last three years to identify, find, and eliminate the thousands of Gazooks involved in the atrocities.

It has built its list of names of Gazooks who invaded Israeli territory by using a plethora of video and photographic evidence of the attack, much of it captured by the bully boyz themselves, and running the footage through facial recognition software. Also on the list are all Hamas leaders involved in orchestrating the massacre, according to Israeli officials.

Israeli officials have invoked the aftermath of the 1972 Munich Olympics as a precedent for the retribution campaign against the October 7 terrorists, pointing to the years-long and largely unsuccessful Mosssd
...sees all, knows all, gets 'em all in the end...
-led effort to track down and eliminate anyone linked to the massacre of 11 Israeli athletes during the Games.

In the past few months, the IDF and Shin Bet appeared to have stepped up the large-scale retribution campaign. Despite technically having agreed to a ceasefire with Hamas, Israel appears to have justified the strikes by portraying them as defensive measures against bully boyz who posed a threat to troops, meaning the IDF was permitted to act against them during the pause in fighting.

In September alone, 17 bully boyz who participated in the October 7, 2023, onslaught, kidnapped hostages, or held hostages in captivity, were killed in Israeli strikes, according to the IDF.

Katz said Monday that he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have instructed the military and all other security bodies to kill all of those who took part in the onslaught, "without limitation and under any circumstances, from the senior ranks to the junior ranks."

Hormuz shipping restrictions bring food crisis closer, media reports
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited
[Regnum] Restrictions on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz threaten a global food crisis. This assessment was made by John Denton, Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce, on October 5.

"People look at [what's happening in the Strait of Hormuz] primarily through the prism of the fighting between the US and Iran, which is, in some ways, theatrical. <…> But the main issue is the fertilizer situation," The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) quotes Denton as saying.

The article notes that approximately a third of the world's fertilizer supplies previously passed through the Strait of Hormuz, but after shipping in the strait was restricted, available capacity for fertilizer production and supply decreased by almost 40%, and the market lost approximately 2.7 million tons of product.

If the situation continues, grain prices could rise by up to 80%, Denton noted. He noted that some developing countries are particularly dependent on fertilizer exports—in particular, the Philippines, which exports up to 90% of its output.

🚨 HEZBOLLAH MOBILIZES 17,150 YOUTH AT MASSIVE BEIRUT SCOUTS RALLY

Thousands of members of Hezbollah’s Imam al-Mahdi Youth Terrorist Camp gathered in Dahieh today, with organizers claiming 17,150 attendees.

Hezbollah Executive Council chairman Sheikh Ali Daamouch declared: “We will not hesitate to confront the occupying Zionists, and we will not stray from the path of our martyrs.”

Daamouch insisted “The resistance project has not ended and will not end,” while defending Hezbollah’s terror indoctrination schools and youth terror organizations and calling “resistance” a “national necessity” for recovering territory in southern Lebanon, indicating it will be using child soldiers again.

‘First Time in History': Bessent Says Iran Faces Zero Oil Revenue This Week ‐ Tehran Warns of Economic Crisis as non-Iran MidEast crude exports exceed pre-war levels
[Breitbart] Iran is set to have no oil at sea and no oil revenue this week for the “first time in history,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said as Tehran’s top security official issued a rare warning over the country’s deepening economic crisis.

“For the first time in history, since they started pumping oil, they will have no oil on the water this week,” Bessent told The Axios Show on Saturday. “They will have no revenues.”

Bessent said the unprecedented situation is the result of a deliberate, three-stage campaign that began with the U.S. military assault earlier this year, moved to President Donald Trump’s blockade of Iranian commerce, and is now aimed at isolating Tehran economically.

The Treasury secretary traced the strategy back to the roughly six-week military campaign beginning in late February, which he said destroyed Iran’s navy and air force, substantially depleted its missile and drone capabilities and crippled its ability to rebuild them.

“We had kinetic,” Bessent said. “We destroyed their navy, their air force, substantially depleted their drone and missile capability, destroyed their chances of rebuilding that.”

Washington then moved to what Trump calls the “Iron Wall” — the U.S. naval blockade that has prevented Iranian oil exports while protecting international traffic through the Strait of Hormuz — before launching Operation Economic Outcast, the administration’s broader campaign to sever Tehran from remaining sources of trade and revenue.

“Then we went to what the president calls the Iron Wall and the blockade, which we’d never done before,” Bessent said. “And now we have Operation Economic Outcast, and we are isolating them economically like has never happened before.”

Treasury expanded that campaign Thursday with sanctions targeting Iran’s automotive and rail industries and foreign suppliers, seeking to further restrict the resources available to Tehran’s military, missile and drone programs, cyber operations, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Bessent said the strategy has effectively shut Iranian oil out of the strait even as U.S.-protected international commerce has continued moving through it.

“Right now, the score, in terms of barrels out of the strait: U.S. about 1.1 billion, Iran zero,” he said.

The prospect of Iran having no oil remaining at sea this week also brings forward a prediction Bessent made last weekend. At the time, roughly 15 million barrels loaded before the blockade remained aboard tankers, with the final cargoes headed largely to China. Bessent predicted that once those shipments were delivered, Tehran would have “nothing left to trade.”

One week later, he says that point is arriving.

The effects are becoming increasingly visible inside Iran — including in unusually stark warnings from the country’s own leadership.

Mohsen Rezaei, Iran’s top national security official, described the circumstances as among the most difficult periods the country has faced during a high-level government meeting Saturday with President Masoud Pezeshkian and senior ministers, according to the state-run IRNA news agency. Iranian state media did not publish Rezaei’s remarks verbatim.

Pezeshkian acknowledged at the same meeting that economic conditions had worsened and said his government had adopted a “new posture” to manage what he called the country’s “special conditions.”

The warnings came as Iran’s currency sank to another record low. The rial traded at roughly 2.69 million to the dollar Saturday after losing more than half its value over the past year, while inflation has climbed above 70 percent. Iran’s central bank has responded by offering up to $2 billion in U.S. currency through state banks in an effort to support the rial.

The damage extends beyond financial markets. Reuters reported that Iranians are exhausting savings, losing jobs, moving to less expensive areas and cutting spending on basic needs as soaring prices and the loss of oil revenue erode living standards. Fear of government repression and the immediate struggle to make ends meet, however, have so far constrained the economic discontent from developing into broader nationwide protests.

Iran’s collapsing exports increasingly stand in contrast to the recovery in oil shipments from the rest of the Gulf.

Energy Secretary Chris Wright said Sunday that supplies moving through Hormuz have continued to rise in recent weeks. Goldman Sachs analysts estimated Persian Gulf oil exports reached roughly 23.3 million barrels per day over the past week, returning to prewar levels even as Iranian crude loadings collapsed.

The administration says it intends to maintain that arrangement — allowing international energy traffic through the strait while continuing to block Iranian exports.

War Secretary Pete Hegseth said Saturday that Washington can maintain the blockade for as long as necessary and rejected Tehran’s repeated assertions that it controls the strategic waterway.

“Iran wants to play games with things like the Strait of Hormuz. They don’t control it. We do,” Hegseth said. “They have literally gotten nothing through. Our blockade’s been ironclad, and we’re running almost at prewar levels every single night through that.”

Hegseth said the result has left Washington in a “very strong position,” urging Tehran to “make the right choice” while Trump still has the option of resolving the confrontation without another major military escalation.

“If they don’t, the president’s going to have all the options he needs on the table,” he said.

Tehran is now seeking relief from that pressure as Washington and Iran exchange proposals over a possible agreement.

Iranian officials said Sunday that Washington had responded through intermediaries to Tehran’s latest proposal, which Trump had already rejected as insufficient, and that the U.S. response was now being reviewed by the Iranian government. Tehran has continued to demand sanctions relief and an end to restrictions on its maritime commerce as conditions for fully reopening Hormuz.

Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf insisted Sunday that the strait would remain closed until Washington accepted seven Iranian conditions tied to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding — the June framework that established a ceasefire and a path toward reopening Hormuz and broader negotiations before Iran resumed attacks on commercial vessels and the agreement ultimately broke down.

“The Strait of Hormuz will not open until our seven conditions based on the Islamabad Memorandum are met,” Ghalibaf said.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, meanwhile, insisted that neither additional sanctions nor renewed military action would force Tehran to accept Washington’s terms.

“There is no military solution, nor any solution based on new sanctions,” Araghchi said, arguing that negotiations based on “justice and fairness” offered the only path to ending the conflict.

But Araghchi paired that appeal for negotiations with a warning, saying that if Iran’s enemies “again choose the path of military confrontation, our response will be stronger than before.”

Washington, however, is preparing for the possibility that Tehran still refuses to accept terms Trump considers sufficient.

Senior Trump administration officials met for several hours at Camp David on Friday to discuss Iran, with Vice President JD Vance chairing a previously unannounced gathering that included Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Hegseth, Bessent, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, White House envoy Steve Witkoff, and Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine.

“Things were decided or at least deeply discussed,” one U.S. official told Axios.

Trump offered little detail when reporters subsequently asked what had emerged from the meeting.

“If I told you, you would have a major story,” he said Friday. “But you will see. It is working out very well. Iran is not doing well.”

Middle East crude oil exports exceed pre-war levels but tanker attacks increase

[IsraelTimes] 7-day moving average for crude exports was 18.5 million barrels per day on Oct. 1, just above pre-war average of 18 million bpd; at least 7 tanker attacks reported in recent days

Crude oil exports from the Middle East rose above pre-war levels in four of the seven days of the final week of September, shipping data showed on Monday, despite attacks on vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Crude exports from the region exceeded pre-war levels on September 24 and between September 27 and 29, rising to between 19.5 million barrels per day and 22.5 million bpd, provisional data from ship-tracking firm Kpler showed.

Exports averaged 18 million bpd between March 2025 and February this year before the US-Israeli war with Iran

began.

The 7-day moving average for crude exports was at 18.5 million bpd on October 1, the data showed. These include transits via the Strait of Hormuz, the Red Sea, exports from terminals and ship-to-ship transfers in the Gulf of Oman.

The overall tally for crude, oil products, chemicals and non-gas liquids averaged 22.4 million bpd in the seven days to September 30, Kpler data showed.

The number of liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes exiting the Strait of Hormuz also rose in September to its highest monthly level since February.

The figures exclude any vessels that might have crossed the strait with their Automatic Identification System transponders turned off to avoid detection.

Before the Iran war started on February 28, the strait typically handled about 125 large commercial vessels per day, including tankers, gas carriers, bulkers and container vessels, accounting for some 20% of the world’s daily crude oil and LNG supply.

SHIP ATTACKS
However,
a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all...
attacks on tankers continued in and around the Strait of Hormuz, with at least seven incidents reported, shipping intelligence firm Marisks said in a report on Saturday.

The very large crude carrier Kazimah III was reportedly struck on October 1 by an unknown projectile while operating in the strait, causing a fire onboard the tanker, it added.

"All crew members were reported safe and were subsequently evacuated from the vessel," Marisks said.

Kazimah III was last seen discharging 2 million barrels of Kuwaiti crude at the Ras Markaz port on the coast of Oman on September 17, Kpler data showed. Its owner, Kuwait Oil Tanker Company, did not immediately respond to a request for comment outside office hours.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency has reported at least one attack a day in the Strait of Hormuz or in the Gulf of Aden since October 2.

Marisks said merchant vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz face a "heightened and increasingly unpredictable kinetic threat" given the recent sharp increase in traffic.

"Current intelligence suggests that the recent pattern of incidents may not necessarily represent deliberate targeting of individually selected merchant vessels," Marisks said.

"Instead, available information indicates the possibility that Iranian forces are launching missiles into a predetermined engagement area or ’kill box,’ with weapons potentially acquiring and locking onto available radar signatures within that area."

Physical presence within the engagement zone at the relevant time could itself represent the primary exposure, it added.

Hundreds of anti-Israel protests planned worldwide around October 7 anniversary
They had to be carefully taught, just like the song says.
. [IsraelTimes] Diaspora Ministry says demonstrations scheduled across 37 countries, with more than 100 set for the weekend of October 10-11

As Israeli and Jewish communities around the world mark the third anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
-led invasion and massacre in southern Israel, 262 pro-Paleostinian, anti-Israel protests and events have been identified in 37 countries, the Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Ministry said.

The events are planned through October 14, with 121 scheduled for October 10-11, the ministry said, citing data from its J-SOC (National Center for Combating Antisemitism). On October 7 itself, 75 demonstrations are planned worldwide.

The events come after three years of frequent anti-Israel and pro-Paleostinian demonstrations in many cities and a sharp increase in antisemitic incidents worldwide. Authorities have repeatedly warned that such protests can create heightened security risks for Israelis and Jews.

The United States has the largest number of planned events, with 45, followed by Spain with 40, the ministry said. Australia expects to see 21 protests, the UK 19, and Italia 16. Germany and Canada each will have 14, while La Belle France will have 10, and the Netherlands eight.

Of the 262 events, 21 have been classified as high-risk and 66 as medium-risk.

Around 45 protests are expected to take place near Israeli embassies, consulates, or other known Israeli assets, including 10 classified as high-risk.

High-risk demonstrations are scheduled to take place directly outside Israeli diplomatic missions in Seoul, Bogotá, Mexico City, and Bangkok. Other high-risk locations include Amsterdam’s Dam Square, 220 meters (720 feet) from an aircrew hotel; a rally at Helsinki’s Rautatieasema, 300 meters (985 feet) from the Israeli embassy; and a demonstration on Ottawa’s Parliament Hill, 350 meters (1,150 feet) from the embassy.

High-risk urban rallies in Milan, Rome, Gay Paree, London, and Berlin are also expected to draw heightened police monitoring.

Canada has the highest concentration of high-risk protests, with four planned in Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa. The United States, Italia, Australia, and Greece each have two high-risk demonstrations. High-risk gatherings have also been identified in major international hubs, including London, Gay Paree, Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Istanbul, Santiago, Bogotá, and Bangkok.

Further pro-Paleostinian solidarity actions are planned across every major continent, including in South Africa, Uruguay, Malaysia, Ecuador, South Korea, and New Zealand. Local police and security services are preparing crowd-management measures ahead of the peak demonstration dates.

The ministry said the protests are part of a strategic effort to maximize media exposure and public participation. It urged Israelis abroad to remain vigilant and follow local security advisories.
