[FoxNews] Los Angeles County's zero-bail system went into effect on Sunday, eliminating the previous policy of setting defendants' cash bail amounts based on the severity of their alleged crime.
Critics of the old policy of cash bail amounts being proportionate to the severity of a crime claimed it favored the rich who could afford bail while failing to adequately ensure public safety.
Now, the zero-bail system, officially known as Pre-Arraignment Release Protocols, is facing criticism from supporters of law and order who argue it removes accountability from the justice system by allowing most suspects arrested for allegedly committing a crime to be quickly released from custody instead of remaining in jail as they await charges and trial unless they are accused of the most serious of crimes.
"Our communities have not been shy about telling us how nervous they are about this change," LA County Sheriff Robert Luna told the Board of Supervisors last week, FOX 11 LA reported.
On Friday, 12 Southland cities filed court papers in Los Angeles Superior Court seeking an injunction blocking the zero-bail system from taking effect over concerns it will harm public safety.

[JustTheNews] Health and safety problems at military barracks include sewage backups, mold, rodent infestations and inoperable fire safety systems.
A U.S. Government Accountability Office director highlighted the importance of the report and the missed deadline at a House Armed Services Committee panel hearing that detailed health and safety problems at military barracks, including sewage backups, mold, rodent infestations and inoperable fire safety systems. Conditions were so bad in some places that service members sometimes took "drastic action, such as getting married, just to leave the barracks," according to the report. Hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops live in barracks, which are for the most junior-ranking unmarried service members without children or other dependents.
The privatization feasibility report was required as part of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023, which provided $838.8 billion in military funding to the Pentagon. It was due in July. But Elizabeth Field, director of Defense Capabilities and Management for the Government Accountability Office, told the House Armed Services Committee panel that the Department of Defense has yet to provide a time table for completing the report.
"We could not get any clear information from the department on when it will be delivered," she said.

The compromise candidate. May God guide the cardinals better next time.
[ZERO] If you want to see the real poison at play in the methodology of deconstruction, look at it in the context of illegal and mass immigration in the western world. Deconstruction argues, essentially, that any truth can be broken down into various parts and reassembled to express a completely different meaning. Therefore, there is no truth, only the way in which people are taught to perceive the various pieces of the truth, and that can be changed with the right kind of conditioning.
In the case of illegal immigration, western populations are being taught that the chaos and instability they are witnessing is actually an "opportunity" for them to turn the other cheek and embrace the virtue of victimhood. Simply accept that the mass migration of incompatible cultures is going to happen, look at it as a gift which allows you to spend your hard earned labor and accomplishments giving charity to people who only showed up on the promise of free handouts, and then you won't have to be angry about it any longer.

Julius had been assassinated, his cousin Octavius ran the place and the term Caesar had become synonymous with the position of the ruler sitting in Rome.
[ET] Sidney Powell, a former federal prosecutor charged with breaching election machines in Georgia, had nothing to do with the breach, save for paying for it after the fact, and only because the forensic firm that did it threatened to dump the data online, her lawyer said in a recent court filing.
Ms. Powell was charged as part of the election interference case against former President Donald Trump that was brought on Aug. 14 by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. It alleges that the efforts of President Trump and 18 others, including Ms. Powell, to challenge the 2020 election results amounted to a racketeering conspiracy.
Ms. Willis has accused Ms. Powell of participating in the alleged conspiracy and conspiracies to commit computer trespass, computer theft, computer invasion of privacy, election fraud, and defrauding the state.
[FoxNews] Oprah Winfrey and Meghan Markle are reportedly among those being considered to replace late Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.
Winfrey's name is among those being floated for the role, according to Newsmax and The Desert Sun, but the successful TV host-turned-billionaire book publisher and entrepreneur indicated as recently as in May that she "is not considering the seat should it become vacant," according to the Los Angeles Times.
It was announced Friday that Feinstein died at age 90. All eyes have since turned to Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who will appoint someone to serve out the remaining 13 months of Feinstein's term. The two term governor, who attended the second GOP debate in Simi Valley last week on behalf of President Biden's re-election campaign to lead counter Republican messaging, has stated in the past he will appoint a Black woman to the Senate in the event of Feinstein's passing.
Newsom reportedly has national ambitions of his own amid rumors of a potential 2028 presidential run. As recently as earlier last week, Newsom insisted he would not challenge Biden in 2024. Meanwhile, sources told The Daily Mail that the Duchess of Sussex's name has also been thrown in the ring as Feinstein's potential replacement.
She and Prince Harry reside in Montecito, California.
Meghan is definitely a long-shot but in the craziness that is US politics these days it's not an impossibility. Crazier things have happened," a major Democratic donor told the Mail.
Markle's name was reportedly considered for the U.S. Senate before the 2020 election when Biden chose Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate. At that time, a senior Labour Party source told the Mail that Markle had been "networking among senior Democrats" on the venture of building a grassroots campaign eventually targeting a presidential bid of her own. [MAIL] Indeed, within minutes of 90-year-old Feinstein's death being announced on Friday, the Mail on Sunday was told 'phones lit up' with speculation the Duchess of Sussex could throw her hat in the ring to serve out the remaining 13 months of Feinstein's term.
A major Democratic donor who is close to Californian Governor Gavin Newsom - who will choose Feinstein's replacement - told the MoS: 'Meghan is definitely a long-shot but in the craziness that is US politics these days it's not an impossibility. Crazier things have happened.'
Feinstein's death has produced a unique situation where Newsom, 55, California's charismatic Governor who is considered a Presidential frontrunner should anything happen to 80-year-old President Joe Biden, has free reign to pick someone to replace Feinstein until the next election is held in November 2024.

Wouldn’t it be cheaper just to have the staffer who was telling Feinstein to vote Aye to just vote directly kind of like Dems usually do for dead people?

Oprah would be a better fit for the State Department. "You get a sanction, and you get a sanction, and you get a sanction..."
So where's the respect, Joe, when both you and Newsom arbitrarily exclude white people?

#7 It's a pattern. Bobby Kennedy went from Massachusetts to NY to become their senator. Hillary went from Illinois to NY to become their senator. So much for the Founders intent that the Senate was to represent their states.

It’s no secret, but one thing many people might not know is that EMILY’s List is not named after a woman; EMILY is an acronym for “Early Money Is Like Yeast” — it “makes the dough rise.” Laphonza Butler was the president of Emilys list, a very pro abortion organization.

[BREITBART] House Oversight Committee chair James Comer (R-KY) subpoenaed James Biden’s Lion Hall Group and JBBSR, Inc., entities on Thursday because the committee could not identify "legitimate services provided by James Biden’s companies."
Comer’s subpoena appears to be directed at obtaining records linked to President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. I'm not working for you. Don't be such a horse's ass.... ’s corporation, "CelticCapri Corp," which received nearly $10 million in 2017 without specifying revenue line items. "So that’s an LLC account. It wasn’t a shell company — that was a real LLC account with more earnings in there than what we can find. So that is an account we plan to subpoena as we follow the money," Comer said last week.
James Biden, an often overlooked member of the Biden family, is President Joe Biden’s younger brother and Hunter Biden’s uncle. James and Hunter were business partners with CEFC China Energy Co., an organization closely aligned and linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP.)
While Hunter’s complex web of wire transfers from CEFC received much attention in recent years, Comer expanded his focus to James Biden’s entities. Those entities received at least 20 wires totaling $1,398,999 through Hunter’s entities, according to the 2020 Senate Report by Sens. Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson:
[T]here is also evidence that Hunter Biden moved large sums of money from his firm, Owasco, to James Biden’s consulting firm, the Lion Hall Group. Between Aug. 14, 2017 and Aug. 3, 2018, Owasco sent 20 wires totaling $1,398,999 to the Lion Hall Group, a consulting firm that lists James Biden and his wife, Sara Biden, on the bank account. This transaction was identified for potential criminal financial activity. These transfers began less than one week after CEFC Infrastructure Investment wired $5 million to Hudson West III and Hudson West III sent its first payment of $400,000 to Owasco. Most of the payments from Owasco to the Lion Hall Group had vague notes in the memo lines, 15 of which simply indicated that they were for further credit to James Biden; however, the memo line for one of the payments read "HW3," which indicates some of the transferred money could be from Hudson West III. When the bank contacted Sara Biden regarding the overall wire activity, she stated that the Lion Hall Group and Owasco provide international and business consulting and that the Lion Hall Group was assisting Owasco with an international client through a contract that had since terminated. Sara Biden told the bank that she would not provide any supporting documentation, and she also refused to provide additional information to more clearly explain the activity. Consequently, the bank submitted the account for closure.
Hudson West III also sent funds directly to the Lion Hall Group. According to records on file with the Committees, James B. Biden is the principal contact for the Lion Hall Group, and between January 2018 and October 2018, Hudson West III sent the Lion Hall Group outgoing wires totaling $76,746.15 with the memo, "office expense and reimbursement."These transactions illustrate a direct financial link between Hudson West III (which was connected to CEFC, the Chinese government, and Gongwen Dong) and James Biden.
On Aug. 17, 2017, three days after the first transfer from Owasco to The Lion Hall Group, it was publicly announced that Ye’s CEFC Energy was in talks to purchase a stake in the Russian state-owned energy company Rosneft, which, as noted, later fell through.
Through the Biden family’s suspicious activity reports (SARs), the committee discovered in March that Biden associate Rob Walker received a $3 million wire transfer from CEFC. In turn, four Biden family members — Hunter, James, Hallie, and an unidentified "Biden" — received a collective $1.3 million cut from the $3 million wire transfer.

Question: Is this a real or Deflective song and dance?
Because the US Code seems to point out that the Biden run DOJ may already be past the Statue of Limitations for some cases dated Pre-2018 for Wire Fraud, tax fraud and etc....?
[GEO.TV] In his latest criticism of the former commander-in-chief of the US, President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem mschine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family... said that Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... and his Make America Great Again (MAGA) Republican supporters are determined to bring the country to its knees while damaging its democracy and institutions.
The 80-year-old Biden did not spare the party members of Donald Trump in Congress who he also termed bad boys.
In an interview aired Sunday, Biden termed Donald Trump’s MAGA Republican movement a threat.
The Democrat told ProPublica: "I think that this is the last gasp or maybe the first big gasp of the MAGA Republicans. And I think Trump has concluded that he has to win."
In his new attacks, Biden said: "[Trump] will pull out all the stops. I mean, the quotes he uses are just — I never thought I’d hear a president say some of the stuff he says."
Days earlier, Biden launched attacks on Trump terming him an "extremist" who was posing a grave threat to American democracy and institutions.
Biden regarded Trump as driven by "vengeance and vindictiveness", calling his hard-right Republican friends posing a threat to the freedom of speech and the supremacy of the law.

/\ Basically Biden is an Constitutional Arsonist whining that Trump, the Fireman, who is fighting the fire is the problem.
The goal of course is a nationwide single party system such as Cook County, IL and Fulton County, Ga. How can a Putin style democracy be constructed without it? The US Constitution is one of the few remaining impediments.
[BREITBART] Republicans have drafted a resolution to expel Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) after he allegedly pulled a fire alarm to delay a vote on a bill to avert a government shutdown.
Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) authored the resolution, which is expected to be formally filed Monday when the House is next in session. Expulsion is the most serious form of disciplinary action available to the House for its own members.
Only five members have been expelled from the House in history.
Bowman’s alleged actions are being investigated by the House Administration Committee and the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) and elicited widespread condemnation from his Republican colleagues.
Rep. Lisa McClain is drafting a motion to censure Bowman, a serious but less severe step than expulsion. She said Bowman’s alleged action "is a felony, plain and simple. USCP had to waste resources investigating rather than actually keeping the Capitol safe. The House must hold Rep. Bowman accountable."
Speaker Kevin McCarthy ...the GOP house majority leader. His primary accomplishment to date has been first to hold on to power against a conservative revolt and then to order an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden’s involvement in his son Hunter’s business deals... (R-CA) told news hounds that the "Ethics (Committee) should look into this," saying, he will "have a discussion with the Democratic Leader [Hakeem Jeffries] about it, but this should not go without punishment.
"This is an embarrassment. You’re elected to be a member of Congress."
Bowman reportedly said he "thought the alarm would open the door" and that Jeffries understood it was a misunderstanding.
[DAILYCALLER] The Biden administration on Friday unveiled the most restrictive offshore oil and gas five-year leasing program in history.
The Department of the Interior (DOI) announced the plan, which allows for three offshore oil and gas lease sales through 2029, with sales in 2025, 2027 and 2029. That schedule represents the lowest number of sales that the administration could have pursued while maintaining its ability to push offshore wind development under provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), and it is the "smallest number of oil and gas lease sales in history," according to Interior Secretary Deb Haaland.
"The Biden-Harris administration is committed to building a clean energy future that ensures America’s energy independence," Haaland said of the schedule’s release.
The decision is in line with the Biden administration’s sweeping climate agenda, which aims to reach net-zero carbon dioxide emissions in the U.S. energy sector by 2035 and for the entire U.S. economy by 2050.
"The release of the U.S. offshore leasing program, mandated by law and long overdue, is an utter failure for the country," National Ocean Industries Association President Erik Milito said of the schedule. "The White House simply ignores our energy realities in once again limiting U.S. energy production opportunities. With global demand at record levels and continuing to rise, regressive policies like this serve to harm Americans of all walks of life."
