ICE arrests Illegal alien working for Democratic congressional campaign in Pennsylvania
[Just The News] The Department of Homeland Security said Wednesday that an allegedly illegal migrant who worked as a canvasser for a Democratic congressional campaign in Pennsylvania has been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The Nigerian migrant was arrested by ICE last week after he pleaded guilty to one charge of disorderly conduct related to an incident last month when he allegedly exposed himself in public.

The department identified the migrant as Chimaobim Adedayo Igbojekwe, who they said was working as a canvasser for Janelle Stelson, the Democratic nominee for Pennsylvania’s 10th congressional district, at the time of the incident.

"It’s unbelievable that Janelle Stelson would employ an illegal alien to work on a congressional campaign, let alone a pervert who exposed himself in public," ICE Deputy Director Charles Wall said in a statement.

Fauci diary reveals he disparaged Trump, praised China, and lost secret files in ransomware hack
[JTN] Newly released diary pages belonging to Dr. Anthony Fauci, one of the government’s most influential chief health officials for nearly four decades, show that he disparaged Donald Trump, praised Chinese health officials, and lost a set of confidential records in a ransomware attack.

The files were the latest batch of entries in Fauci’s so-called diary to be released publicly by Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky., the Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee. Paul is currently investigating whether Fauci or his aides destroyed government documents to avoid disclosure under public information requests. Government emails are generally required to be preserved under the Federal Records Act.

Although that Act says that "willfully and unlawfully concealing, removing, mutilating, obliterating, destroying, or carrying away any public record or document is punishable by up to 3 years in prison, a fine of up to $2,000, or both," when Fauci was pardoned by President Joe Biden, Paul told Just the News in June that "I think we should challenge the pardon, because it's an extraordinary pardon. It's a pardon not for a specific crime, and it's a pardon over a 10-year period. It's the same that he got, the same thing Hunter Biden got."

Fauci’s diary has landed the ex-health official in hot water. During his time as the leading government health official during the COVID-19 pandemic, Fauci kept a meticulous record of his meetings, phone calls, and other day-to-day activities. Last month, the committee released memos showing he privately believed that the death rate of COVID-19 was much lower than he told Congress just one month later, Just the News previously reported.

Paul summoned Fauci to testify before his committee in August, but the retired top doc refused to answer most questions by invoking his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. Paul's panel referred Fauci to the Justice Department for possible prosecution for contempt of Congress. Fauci was granted a pardon by President Biden which covered all potential federal offenses committed between 2014 and 2024. That led some constitutional experts to insist that Fauci does not have the right to invoke the Fifth Amendment.

Supreme Court Ends Appeals of Former Pennsylvania Judge Suspended Over Social Media Posts
[JonathanTurley.org] This week, Judge Mark Cohen’s long, checkered judicial career came to an ignoble end. The Supreme Court denied his petition for certiorari to challenge the 2024 ruling by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court that he was properly suspended over a litany of partisan social media posts while a sitting judge.

Cohen is a former Democratic politician who ran unsuccessfully for Congress, but served for many years in the state House until defeated in 2016.

In 2018, Cohen successfully ran for the Court of Common Pleas. After receiving a "Not Recommended" rating from the Philadelphia Bar Association, he barely won the seat with the second-lowest vote total among the victors.

During this time on the bench, Cohen continued to maintain his political public persona with social media posts that many found injudicious and unethical. In October 2024, the Pennsylvania Court of Judicial Discipline took the rare step of ejecting him from the bench and suspending him without pay over his Facebook posts.

These posts included attacks on Republican policies and praise for Democrats such as Joe Biden, Josh Shapiro and John Fetterman. He also spoke out in favor of a variety of Democratic policies and union positions as well as commenting on issues ranging from abortion to gun control.

In one posting on September 22, 2022, Judge Cohen supported Philadelphia District Attorney Krasner, who has since been referred by a judge to the U.S. Attorney for possible criminal conduct:

"Philly DA Krasner, in a switch of tactics, now demands to testify before P[A] House Committee seeking evidence of wrongdoing to begin impeachment proceedings. Good move!" . . .

The irony for critics is obvious, since they have criticized Cohen as a Krasneresque judge who failed to observe proper lines of conduct.

On November 18, 2021, Judge Cohen attacked the Speaker of the House of Representatives: "Good night, Kevin McCarthy. Good night moon. No matter how long Kevin talks, we’ll have House passage of Build Back Better soon."

His superiors on the Court warned him that such postings violated judicial standards, but Cohen continued to post under the name he was formerly referred to by his fellow judges.

After being suspended in 2024, the suspension was upheld this year by the highest court in the Commonwealth. In his concurrence, Justice David Wecht wrote:

"In an age of ubiquitous social media and heightened acrimony, it is imperative that jurists remain mindful and careful. They must avoid the type of partisan punditry and running online commentary on politics that poured forth continually from the keyboard of the judge involved in today’s case. People are free to do this sort of thing, but judges are people with an asterisk. A person who chooses to become a judge must park some portion of his or her First Amendment rights at the courthouse curb for the duration in which that judge is serving on the bench."

In his U.S. Supreme Court challenge, Cohen argued that the lower courts erred in failing to apply a strict scrutiny test to his speech as opposed to the balancing test under Pickering v. Board of Education, 391 U.S. 563 (1968). We have previously discussed the use of Pickering in the limitation of speech of public employees.

Under Pickering, when a judge "speaks on a matter of public concern, then the court must balance the Commonwealth’s interest in preserving the efficient administration of justice against the judge’s interest in making the statement."

The Mamdanis: Let's Not Forget the Victims of 10/7 – Gazans!
[HotAir] Let's be honest. We knew that the 25th anniversary of 9/11 would be awkward when New York City voters elected Islamist sympathizer Zohran Mamdani as mayor. We could have predicted that the third anniversary of Hamas' despicable and grotesque atrocities in their Al-Aqsa Flood operation would be just as awkward in the Big Apple. How did Mamdani commemorate the mass rapes, murders, and kidnappings of men, women, and children?

Just as you'd expect, of course. After paying lip service to the people whom Hamas raped and slaughtered, Mamdani turned it into an indictment against Israel for fighting the war Hamas deliberately and cruelly started on October 7, 2023:

‘Traitor’: Anti-Zionist protesters rage at Mamdani at Oct. 7 coexistence event

[IsraelTimes] Demonstrators accuse New York mayor of ‘supporting genocide,’ wave terrorist flags; activists chant for intifada outside Columbia University; Mamdani statement infuriates Jewish leaders

Anti-Zionist protesters railed at New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Wednesday at an Israeli-led coexistence event commemorating the anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
attack on Israel, as Jewish leaders condemned a statement the mayor made earlier in the day accusing Israel of genocide.

The protesters first gathered outside City Hall in lower Manhattan on Wednesday afternoon. The event was led by leading anti-Israel activist groups in the city, including Within Our Lifetime, Students for Justice in Paleostine and Pal-Awda.

Several subgroups from the Democratic Socialists of America, Mamdani’s home base, and university clubs were also listed as sponsors. Protesters at the event held a flag for the Young Democratic Socialists of America. The group initially posted an advertisement for the rally on social media, then removed it.

At the City Hall protest, the demonstrators chanted, "Mayor Mamdani, pick a side, justice or genocide," "Moslem mayor, we know you, you’re a normalizer too," and, "Tell me what you’re fighting for: intifada people’s war."

"This mayor ran on a campaign to make promises to this community," a speaker told the crowd. "From his first day in office, he has failed."

The protesters attacked Mamdani for Israel real estate events taking place in the city, for the public college system’s investments in defense companies, for policing of protests, and for keeping NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, who is Jewish, in office.

Mamdani has identified as an anti-Zionist, has said that the Paleostinian cause is the reason he got into politics, and has made anti-Israel activism central to his persona. His anti-Zionism has repeatedly antagonized Jewish groups, who say his rhetoric inflames hostility toward New York’s Jews.

Wednesday was the first anniversary of October 7 since Mamdani became mayor at the beginning of the year.

The protesters carried signs showing Mamdani that said, "Pro-Paleostine mayor?" and depicting him rolling out a red carpet for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who visited the city for the UN General Assembly last month. Mamdani had initially promised to arrest Netanyahu, but acknowledged ahead of the General Assembly that he lacked the authority to do so.

One sign showed Mamdani wearing a nametag that said "Ziohran," with a Star of David, and a badge for the Shomrim, a Jewish neighborhood watch group.

Later, the protesters marched uptown, toward Union Square. Some carried flags for the Hamas and Hezbollah terror groups, and photos of terror leaders, or wore terrorist headbands.

A lone counterprotester walked at the front of the march, holding a sign that said, "On Oct. 7, 2023, your ’resistance’ killed 809 civilians, kidnapped 251, raped."

The protesters harassed her, putting middle fingers in her face and shouting, until police separated the two sides.

"You’re all pedophiles. You’ll always be a Nazi bitch," one of the protesters shouted at the woman.

At Union Square, a leftist group called Israelis for Peace had planned a coexistence event aimed at mourning those killed on October 7 and Paleostinians killed during the war against Hamas in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
The group had set up a semicircle of chairs in the square, and some of the participants were seated, when several hundred anti-Zionist protesters descended on the area, shouting at the coexistence event’s attendees and chanting, "Death, death to the IDF," and "Long live Hamas."

One man in a keffiyeh held up a photo of the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar toward Israeli participants, while a woman from the coexistence group held up a sign that said "Mourn."

Nicole Izsak said she had come to the event to honor her sister-in-law’s cousin who was murdered at the Nova music festival on October 7.

"It’s disgusting. These are scum. They don’t know what they’re talking about, and to use this day, and to sabotage this event, which is about coexistence and peace, shows how disgusting and revolting they are," she said.

The coexistence event was unable to proceed at its original location, so police set up a cordon further into the plaza, and organizers allowed in attendees whom they knew, for safety reasons.

The anti-Zionist protesters cheered when the attendees entered the barricade, and shouted, "Go to Poland," and, "Run, bitch. Go run like your soldiers ran on October 7."

Brad Lander, a Jewish Mamdani ally who won a primary for a US House seat earlier this year, joined the event’s attendees inside the barricade. Lander identifies as a "liberal Zionist."

Protesters shouted, "Lander, kill yourself," and, "Fuck you Lander, you Nazi fuck."

"I still find it ironic to call Jews Nazis," one of the protesters said.

"That gets under their skin the most. That’s why you got to use it," another responded.

Police and metal barricades kept the two sides separated. Inside the cordon, attendees held electric candles and signs that read, "Not one more life," in English and Hebrew.

"We will still do what we came here to do, which is uphold the sanctity of human life, no matter where it is from," said Tamar Glezerman, an organizer with Israelis for Peace. "What better future is possible between the river and the sea that omits the humanity of any single person?"

Mamdani arrived with New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams and stood near the podium, but did not address the crowd.

Mamdani’s office had said he planned to attend an October 7 vigil at the time of the event, without specifying the location. He attended the same group’s vigil last year.

After Mamdani arrived, the protesters chanted, "Zohran, you can’t hide, you support genocide," "Traitor, traitor, come on out, you sold all your people out," and, "Mamdani, what do you say? How many kids did you kill today?"

A woman who said she was a former intern for Mamdani told the crowd, "Mayor Mamdani is a sellout. You got into office from our people and now you’ve acted like a traitor," with the protesters repeating what she said.

"We’re not making any excuses for you. We don’t care about where you’re from. You cannot tokenize being Moslem anymore. You cannot weaponize being brown anymore," she said. "We demand that you stop using our people for clout and profit. You have lost this game."

Mamdani remained at the vigil for more than an hour, holding an electric candle and not reacting.

Speakers at the event read testimonies from families who lost loved ones in Israel on October 7, and from Paleostinians killed in the war in Gaza. Protest chants drowned out the testimonies from both sides.

"Mamdani, your hands are red, 700,000 dead," the crowd chanted. "Mamdani, you’re a liar, you set Paleostine on fire."

Separately, on Wednesday afternoon, anti-Zionist protesters chanted for an intifada outside Columbia University.

Around 100 protesters chanted, "Globalize the intifada," "No peace on stolen land," and "Every fascist
...anybody you disagree with, damn them...
state will fall," to the beat of a drum.

In Arabic, they chanted, "Paleostine is Arab."

The rally took place on a public sidewalk outside of Columbia’s gates. The leading campus anti-Zionist activist groups are no longer recognized by the university.

"Long live the student intifada," a speaker who identified as a Paleostinian Columbia student told the crowd. "Glory to our deaders, glory to the people of Paleostine and glory to the resistance."

Jewish Columbia students set up a display of chairs on campus with photos of October 7 victims.

MAMDANI STATEMENT INFURIATES JEWISH LEADERS
On Wednesday morning, Mamdani released a statement that mourned those killed in the October 7 attack and condemned Hamas.

The bulk of the statement criticized Israel, however, accusing the Jewish state of genocide, war crimes and apartheid.

"This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7," the statement said. "We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss."

"The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza," he said. "That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every dronezap targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing."

The comments infuriated New York and national Jewish groups, and Jewish members of Congress.

The UJA-Federation of New York, the city’s leading Jewish group, said Mamdani’s statement put "Jewish New Yorkers at risk."

"Today should have been a day for New York to stand with the victims of October 7," the UJA-Federation of New York said. "Instead, Mayor Mamdani chose to respond to the grief of Jewish New Yorkers by advancing false and inflammatory attacks against Israel."

Rabbi Rick Jacobs, the head of the Union for Reform Judaism, said, "I’ve told Mayor Mamdani directly that his words matter. But he once again found an opportunity to be callous toward Jewish pain."

"You cannot proclaim empathy and care for the Jewish community and then fail to show basic humanity toward us in our grief," Jacobs said. "Turning this anniversary into an indictment of the Jewish state is not only hurtful, and deeply offensive, but it also makes Jewish New Yorkers less safe."

US Rep. Dan Goldman of New York, who lost his primary race to Lander, said, "This is a reprehensible statement."

"In the guise of ’grieving’ with those mourning that day, Mayor Mamdani asserts as fact hotly disputed allegations that he knows full well will offend and further upset those same people he pretends to grieve with," Goldman said.

2 out of 3 F35's Make It To Finland
[Aerotime] One of the three Finnish Air Force F-35A Lightning II fighters assigned to the type’s first delivery flight to Finland remains at Lajes Air Base in the Azores, Portugal, after developing what the service described as a minor avionics fault.

The aircraft, JF-511, was part of a six-aircraft Finnish and Belgian F-35 detachment that flew from the United States to the Azores on September 15, 2026. When the detachment left the island on September 18, the remaining five F-35s and the KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft supporting them continued without it

It will be flown to Finland with the next group of F-35s during autumn 2026, the Finnish Air Force said in a statement published on September 20, 2026.

According to Brigadier General Aki Puustinen, Chief of Staff of the Finnish Air Force, the aircraft’s fault monitoring system indicated a potential issue during the startup sequence. The crew attempted to resolve it, but once it became clear that further troubleshooting would delay the departure of the entire detachment, the engine was shut down so the issue could be investigated and repaired.

“The issue was a minor avionics fault. The required spare part is currently being shipped to the Azores,” Puustinen said in the statement.

The Finnish Air Force said the detachment could not delay its departure because of a single aircraft. It noted that, in peacetime military aviation, flights can be delayed or cancelled at a low threshold when technical anomalies are detected.
