Two of the other bully boyz killed were described as cycle of violence drivers who were transporting the group’s leaders, while the fourth was identified as a guard accompanying the holy warriors, NISA said.
The operation also maimed Abdi Mohammed Nur, whom NISA identified as another al-Shabaab leader responsible for tribal affairs. Two other leaders, Abdullahi Ali Caraaye and Abdi Daalane, narrowly escaped the operation, according to the agency.
NISA did not provide details on the nature of the international support involved in the operation or specify whether the targets were struck from the air or ground.

The number of those detained over Saturday’s demonstration remains unclear. Activists say at least 13 have been arrested, but lawyer Ghassen Besbes, who is representing some of the detainees, puts the number at 11.
Fellow lawyer Fedy Snene, who is also representing some of those arrested, says a judge has extended their detention by 48 hours and that they have been interrogated about slogans chanted during the protest.
Authorities have yet to confirm the arrests.
Expressing their “deep concern,” the Tunisian League for Human Rights (LTDH), the bar association and the UGTT union confederation call for the demonstrators to be freed and for an “end to the obstruction of peaceful gatherings.”
On Saturday, hundreds had protested in Tunis to demand the release of four jailed pro-Palestinian activists accused by Tunisian authorities of money-laundering over their involvement in organizing a Gaza-bound humanitarian flotilla.
The four were arrested in March on charges of misusing funds raised for the Global Sumud Flotilla, which attempted to sail to Gaza in 2025 with the aim of delivering aid to the Palestinian territory.
The Global Sumud Flotilla has condemned their arrest and repeatedly called for their release.
The group has said the detained activists’ health was “deteriorating fast” after they began a hunger strike to protest their imprisonment.
One of them, Wael Naouar, has been on hunger strike for over a month and was in a critical condition, according to activists.

The suspect was apprehended at about 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 18, 2026, by troops deployed at a blocking position in Taki.
According to military sources, preliminary interrogation revealed that the suspect is a herder from Ndaakwu Village in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State.

Qatar stresses that its aid was coordinated with successive Israeli governments with three different prime ministers. “Any funds that may have reached Hamas are not the responsibility of the State of Qatar, but rather Israel, which oversaw their delivery,” says Qatar.
Those spreading the “false allegations” are trying to spread “chaos and division” in the region, Qatar alleges.
[Rudaw] Three Kurdish migrants colonists have died in La Belle France over the past week, including one who was killed, according to a migrant rights activist.
Europe-based migrant rights activist Ranj Pishdari reported the deaths on Sunday, noting that details regarding the slain third migrant's identity and the circumstances of his killing remain unconfirmed.
Shivan Ismail Khalil, a 20-year-old from the northeastern town of Rania, died in a Lille hospital after a virus he contracted in freezing camp conditions worsened, Pishdari told Rudaw’s Gashaw Khalid.
"Because he was brought to the hospital late and the virus had severely affected his health, he passed away last night at midnight," Pishdari said, adding that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is preparing to assist with repatriation.
A second migrant, identified as Bzhar Fazil Bakozi, from Duhok province, died of a heart attack. Bakozi’s family is yet to be informed of their son’s passing.
With regards to the third migrant, Pishdari explained, "He was killed, but detailed information regarding his identity and the circumstances surrounding his death are not yet available."
Ali Dolamari, the KRG representative to La Belle France, told Rudaw that they are aware of the incidents and are actively communicating with the victims’ families. Dolamari stated that diplomatic officials must await the issuance of formal death certificates by French authorities before the bodies can be legally repatriated to the Kurdistan Region.
Both Khalil and Bakozi reached La Belle France through Libya, a transit route Iraqi migrants colonists, and smugglers, have been recently using to reach the European continent via the dangerous sea route.

Speaking to Rudaw on Friday, Amin said that the Iraqi embassy maintains the sites where the Kurdish immigrants colonists are captive "are not under the authority of the Libyan state, but are controlled by gangs," noting that "legally and diplomatically, Iraqi diplomats cannot engage with gangs and must deal strictly through the government."

Media accounts reported that protesters "quickly organized" a spontaneous anti-ICE protest at an Austin, Texas, intersection following the shooting of a Venezuelan man by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent.
But a Fox News Digital investigation shows that the protests are being promoted and organized by a coordinated network of far-left socialist and communist groups, including the Democratic Socialists of America, the Freedom Road Socialist Organization and the Party for Socialism and Liberation, which works closely with nonprofits funded by Neville Roy Singham, a communist American-born tech tycoon living in Shanghai.
Congressional lawmakers are investigating the Singham network for allegedly fomenting the image of "chaos" in the U.S., including anti-ICE protests from Minneapolis to the Delaney Hall detention center in Newark, N.J. Sure enough, Sunday evening, BreakThrough News, a pro-communist media platform operated by BreakThrough BT Media, a nonprofit funded by Singham, published a "BREAKING NEWS" report from Texas with the headline: "Austin erupts in protest…"
The shooting occurred Sunday afternoon at about 12:56 p.m. Central Time near Anderson Square and Research Boulevard in Austin. Authorities said an ICE officer shot Wilber Rafael Garcés Pérez, a 28-year-old Venezuelan national, during a traffic stop. Perez was hospitalized in serious but stable condition and later placed in federal custody. Local officials said Austin police weren’t involved in the shooting, which is being investigated by federal authorities with assistance from the FBI.

The headlines and descriptions of the demonstration have focused on the protest’s anti-ICE message without identifying the political or ideological infrastructure that helped organize and promote the event. Local media headlines included KVUE reporting that "North Austin ICE shooting draws large protest as tensions escalate," describing a spontaneous outburst: "What began with a handful of people gathered across the street from the scene grew into a much larger crowd over the course of several hours."
But the details of the Austin protest are important because they reveal that the demonstrations represent more than an unplanned gathering of residents responding to a breaking-news event, much like the protests in Minnesota and New Jersey and Minnesota.
Indeed. It’s astroturf all the way down.
The shooting provided the immediate trigger, but the mobilization was amplified by organizations with explicit revolutionary socialist and communist ideologies, established propaganda outlets and long-standing ties to international movements aligned with the communist governments of Cuba and Venezuela. They each have pre-existing activist networks and online audiences that organized and promoted the protests.
The event also illustrates how rapidly established activist networks can convert a law-enforcement incident into a larger political action. Within hours, the groups distributed nearly identical claims, promoted the same location and used dramatic language describing the shooting as "ICE terror," "police violence" and part of a pattern of killings.
At about 4:19 p.m. local time, the Party for Socialism and Liberation’s national account, @PSLNational, posted an explosive message on X, announcing the shooting and shouting in capital letters, "BREAKING. MAN SHOT BY ICE AGENTS IN AUSTIN. It called on residents to protest ICE, declaring, "ICE OUT OF AUSTIN NOW!"
Right about then, the group’s Austin chapter shared the dramatic "BREAKING" graphic on Instagram, collaborating with its national headquarters and four Texas chapters in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas-Fort Worth and Waco. By early Monday evening, about 24 hours later, the post had 5,402 likes, 2,016 reposts and 2,391 shares/sends.
Soon after on Sunday, at about 4:30 p.m. local time, the Austin chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America posted a graphic labeled "Emergency Demonstration/Vigil" calling on supporters to gather at 8121 Research Boulevard from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday for a "spontaneous" protest.
"Join us at 8121 Research Blvd from 5-8 p.m. for a spontaneous protest and vigil against yet another instance of ICE and police violence," the post said.
The group later reposted the notice with an updated location and said the demonstration would continue until 7 p.m.
Right about then, the Freedom Road Socialist Organization, an openly Marxist-Leninist group that has sent delegations to support communist regimes in Cuba and Venezuela, and its Austin chapter published its own hyperbolic material about the shooting. One graphic said, "ICE SHOOTS AN UNARMED CIVILIAN," while another described the incident as part of a broader pattern of "ICE violence and killings." Within 24 hours, the post garnered 620 likes, 214 reposts and 156 shares/sends.
The Freedom Road Socialist Organization openly says it is working to build "a new, revolutionary, communist party." In its own program, the group says it wants to replace capitalism through a socialist revolution. The group's program describes the organization as part of the communist movement. In July, the group said it "salutes the Communist Party of China" on the 105th anniversary of its founding.
For years, it’s also supported the Communist Party of Cuba, declaring, "Stand with socialist Cuba," as it praised the Cuban Revolution and called for an end to U.S. sanctions against Cuba.
Videos posted by the group showed demonstrators chanting, holding signs, blocking the roadway near the shooting scene and lighting fireworks.
The Party for Socialism and Liberation official manifesto describes itself as a "revolutionary socialist" movement that "will open the way to communism and the end of class society." The program describes the police and state institutions as tools of capitalist rule and calls for a workers’ government to replace the current system.
The Party for Socialism and Liberation functions as a key boots-on-the-ground mobilizer within the broader activist ecosystem, working alongside Singham-funded organizations such as the People’s Forum, BreakThrough News, CodePink and the ANSWER Coalition on protests, media campaigns and international solidarity efforts.
The Party for Socialism and Liberation also overlaps with the Freedom Road Socialist Organization through shared "anti-imperialist" pro-communist coalitions, while the Democratic Socialists of America often provides a broader layer of street-level organizing and political amplification.
The Party for Socialism and Liberation has participated in international "solidarity" efforts involving Cuba and Venezuela, along with the Freedom Road Socialist Organization, according to a communist publication, Fight Back! News. A self-described communist co-founder of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, Brian Becker, has said the delegation traveled "as comrades in solidarity."
The facts surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. Austin officials have called for transparency and an independent review, while federal authorities have said the ICE agent’s use of force is being investigated. But the protest organizers’ social media posts leave little ambiguity about the political and ideological objective of the protest.

Ottoman Turkish authorities continue to investigate an international investment fraud network accused of stealing some $3 billion, which local media has called an "international network linked to Israel."
Some Ottoman Turkish media outlets go a step further, linking it directly to Israel’s government, with some even portraying the fraud as part of a "Mosssd ...sees all, knows all, gets 'em all in the end... network," claims that do not appear in the official statement from the Ottoman Turkish Ministry of Justice.
According to an official update published by the Anadolu Agency, 201 suspects were arrested, including nine Israeli citizens.
Fewer than 5%? Those Israelis are amazingly clever.
Forty-five of those detained were foreign nationals from 20 different countries.
Alona Notes Punkt, an Israeli citizen who, according to Ottoman Turkish media, allegedly handled the financial side of the fraud network’s operations.

COMPANIES LINKED TO THE FRAUD RING PRESENTED FICTITIOUS PROFITS Ottoman Turkish Justice Minister Akin Gurlek described the operation as a "major blow to an international fraud network linked to Israel."
Findings from inquiries led by MASAK (Turkey’s financial crimes investigation board), Turkey’s MIT intelligence service, the police, and Interpol revealed that individuals with connections to Israel held high stakes in the companies under investigation for fraud.
Prosecutors said call centers and companies operating in Turkey offered foreign nationals investment in Forex and cryptocurrencies while presenting fictitious profits.
When clients sought to withdraw their funds, they were allegedly required to make additional payments under various pretexts.

A police officer was hospitalized in critical but stable condition and a 29-year-old gunman was in life-threatening condition after an exchange of gunfire Sunday near a synagogue in Ontario as members of the Jewish community marked Yom Kippur, authorities said.
The gunman drove up in a truck, was stopped half a block from the synagogue, and opened fire, authorities said. The province’s Special Investigations Unit said it would make sense to believe that the synagogue was deliberately targeted, but stressed that this was speculation.
The SIU said the exchange of gunfire, with dozens of shots fired, happened near the Sons of Jacob Synagogue in Belleville, Ontario, about 110 miles east of Toronto. Belleville police said the officer encountered the man around 7:10 p.m.
The synagogue president said the police officer had been stationed outside the building in an unmarked car.

Police have not officially said what led to the shooting or whether the synagogue or Jewish community was targeted.

The synagogue, a Conservative congregation, posted on social media that an incident had occurred during Yom Kippur services on Sunday evening. "There were no injuries of anyone inside the building," it said. It added that "as a result all services scheduled for Yom Kippur day are canceled."

The synagogue’s president, Norman Weddum, told Canada’s CBC on Monday that he was ushering people into the sanctuary to begin services when he heard shots ring out.
"It was boom, boom, boom," Weddum said. "I could say, ’Oh, this is definitely... someone is shooting here,'" he said. "So that’s when we ran back into the auditorium of the synagogue, closed the doors behind us so as to not leave a visible target, and we hit the floor."
"Literally everyone went down," he added. "I yelled for everyone to get on to the floor and the shots continued for a few more seconds, and then it was basically over."
The local mayor, Neil Ellis, said there were about 25 people inside the synagogue when the incident occurred.
The Special Investigations Unit, the civilian agency that investigates serious incidents involving police, said it sent Sherlocks to the scene.
Belleville police said they would not provide further information while the investigation was underway.

Carney cited shootings at Jewish schools, Molotov cocktailings of synagogues and attacks on community centers and Jewish-owned businesses. His government announced millions in additional funding to help faith-based institutions pay for security infrastructure, training and personnel.

Synagogues in the Toronto area have also previously been targeted by gunfire. In March, shots damaged the entrances of synagogues in Vaughan and Toronto. No one was injured. Police later arrested three suspects in connection with those shootings.

[Rudaw] Iraqi and Kuwaiti anti-drug authorities seized 700,000 Captagon pills and arrested two people in a joint operation in Kuwait's Kabd area on Sunday, Iraq’s General Directorate for Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs said.
According to a Sunday statement, personnel from the directorate's Anbar branch travelled to Kuwait and joined Kuwait's General Directorate for Narcotics Control in the operation, which took place in the Jawakhir area of Kabd.
Kuwait's Interior Ministry also confirmed the operation on Sunday, saying an Iraqi national and another person residing in Kuwait illegally were arrested. The ministry did not disclose the nationality of the second suspect.
The joint operation comes as Iraq has intensified its anti-narcotics campaign this year.
The General Directorate for Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs said in late August that 4,644 people had been convicted in drug-related cases since the beginning of the year, including 69 death sentence ...the barbaric practice of sentencing a murderer to be punished for as long as his/her/its victim is dead... s and 267 life sentences. Authorities also said they had dismantled 304 domestic and 54 international trafficking networks, carried out 21 operations abroad, established six contact points and issued 43 international arrest warrants.
The directorate also reported 32 armed festivities with narcos this year, in which one member of its forces was killed, and 31 were maimed. Three traffickers were killed, and 23 were maimed in the confrontations, according to the directorate's figures.
According to Kuwait’s statement on Sunday, the two suspects were found in possession of the seized pills and admitted during questioning that the drugs belonged to them and had been prepared for sale. They were taken into custody, with legal proceedings initiated against them.
Both sides praised their cooperation and said they would continue working together to combat drug trafficking.
In a separate operation on Sunday, Iraq's Popular Mobilization Commission, which oversees the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), said it had arrested a "famous international narco" on the Iraq-Syria border. The commission did not disclose the suspect's name or nationality.

The Basra Criminal Court also on Sunday sentenced a foreign national to death for drug trafficking after the defendant was found with 10 kilograms and 50 grams of hashish intended for trafficking and distribution, according to the Supreme Judicial Council.
The council did not disclose the defendant's name, nationality or arrest date.
The death sentence was issued under Article 27 (First) of Iraq’s Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017. The provision carries a penalty of death or life imprisonment for certain narcotics offences, including the unauthorized import, export or transport of narcotic or psychotropic substances or chemical precursors with the intent to traffic, as well as their production or manufacture for trafficking and certain cultivation offences.

What exactly is Captagon and why was it banned.
Captagon was first manufactured in 1961 as an alternative to amphetamine and methamphetamine used at the time to treat narcolepsy, fatigue, and the behavioral disorder "minimal brain dysfunction". Dexamphetamine was already being used by the military to enable soldiers to stay awake for long periods of time and to "enhance courage and bravado". Captagon was supposed to be a milder version of these medicines. But by the 1980's the U.S. government declared it a controlled substance with no currently accepted medical use. Manufacturing of the drug ceased in the 1980's.
However, illegal manufacture has continued, and has recently escalated in the past few years in Europe and the Middle East. Some sources suggest Captagon is one of the more popular recreational drugs among affluent youth in the Middle East.
No doubt the "Captagon" used by ISIS or ISI, and other extremist groups, to enhance their soldiers abilities today is far removed from the Captagon of the eighties. Instead of just two main ingredients, illegal manufacturing likely combines several highly addictive stimulants with compounding actions into one destructive little pill. This "new age" Captagon, as with any highly addictive substance, is likely to cause irreversible changes in brain circuitry that govern impulse control and judgement, taking away a person's ability to reason or think rationally.

The IDF says it carried out strikes against Hamas infrastructure in Gaza tonight after an explosive device hit an unmanned Israeli engineering vehicle during routine operations near the Yellow Line in northern Gaza. No Israeli troops were wounded.
The military called the attack a “blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement” and said the sites struck were used by Hamas to advance attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
[Rudaw] At least four people were maimed after a series of explosions struck a Syrian army site in the al-Hadaba area, west of al-Eis in southern Aleppo countryside, early Monday, according to state media.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that an initial explosion occurred "at a Syrian Arab Army site on the outskirts of the town," adding that authorities continued to investigate the nature and cause of the blast.
Monday’s explosions mark the third blast reported in Syria this month involving military facilities or weapons remnants.
On Friday, 11 Syrian Defense Ministry personnel were killed in a kaboom at a military position in the Ayyash area west of Deir ez-Zor city, with the cause of the blast yet to be disclosed.
The explosion came about 10 days after a blast at a temporary weapons and war-remnants storage facility near Sarmada in northwestern Idlib province killed 14 Defense Ministry personnel and maimed more than 10 others, including civilians.
The cause of the Sarmada explosion also remained under investigation.
Following Monday's explosions, Aleppo Governor Azzam al-Gharib urged residents to remain indoors and stay away from the blast sites.
"In light of the earth-shattering kabooms that occurred south of Aleppo in and around the al-Eis area, we urge everyone to stay indoors and refrain from heading toward or gathering near the earth-shattering kaboom sites, for your own safety and the safety of the emergency response teams," Gharib said in a statement.
Faisal Mohammad Ali, head of Aleppo Operations at the Emergency and Disaster Management Directorate, told the state media that Civil Defense personnel evacuated four maimed people.
The Internal Security Command in Aleppo province placed its personnel on high alert and closed the Aleppo-Damascus highway, along with roads leading to the earth-shattering kaboom site.
The Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management separately warned residents against approaching the site because of the potential presence of shrapnel, unwent kaboom! ordnance and other hazardous objects.
In a post on X, Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed al-Saleh urged residents near the area "to abide by the instructions of our teams and the competent authorities, stay away from the area."

The United States continues to tighten its enforcement of restrictions on commercial shipping linked to Iran. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said Sunday that its forces had redirected 109 commercial vessels since the start of the campaign.
"As of Sept. 20, CENTCOM forces have redirected 109 commercial vessels to ensure total compliance," the command said.
CENTCOM previously said its forces had supported the transit of more than one billion barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz over the preceding months and assisted around 2,000 commercial vessels with "coordinated protection."

[North Press] The Anti-Narcotics Administration in Syria’s Homs arrested a suspected drug trafficker while he was attempting to transport and distribute 200,000 Captagon pills, state media reported Monday.
According to Syrian state media, the arrest came during a security operation launched after authorities monitored and investigated the activities of a person identified by his initials as A.M.
The operation culminated in a surprise ambush that led to his arrest and the seizure of the drugs, which were formally confiscated, the report said.
The suspect was referred to the competent judiciary as investigations continue to identify other members of the network allegedly linked to him and take the necessary legal measures, state media reported.
