Security forces eliminate six terrorists in separate KP operations

The military’s media wing said that weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the slain terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as innocent civilians.

"Sanitisation operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as the security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country," the statement added.

As Pakistain witnesses a sharp rise in militancy, the military and armed forces have been actively engaged in actions to eliminate terrorists.

Terrorists involved in sessions judge abduction gunned down

The police said that security forces conducted an operation in the Kulachi area of DI Khan last night which made the judge's safe recovery possible.

They had said that Judge Marwat was completely fine at the moment.

The judge was kidnapped by gunnies from a village named Bagwal in the border area between Tank and DI Khan.

In a statement today, the military’s media wing said security forces on May 2 (today) conducted a joint IBO in the Tank district on the reported presence of the terrorists.

"During the conduct of the operation, after intense fire exchange, three Lions of Islam were successfully neutralised and sent to hell," the statement added.

The ISPR identified the Lions of Islam as ringleader Azmat alias Azmati, ringleader Karamat alias Hanzla and Rehan.

"The killed Lions of Islam remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area including [the] recent abduction of District and Sessions Judge of South Waziristan District," read the statement.

The security forces remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country, the ISPR added.

As per the military’s media wing, the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan on reported presence of forces of Evil today (April 28).

"During conduct of the operation, intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists, and resultantly two terrorists; terrorist Faheem Nawaz alias Gandapuri and terrorist Mohsin Nawaz were successfully neutralised and sent to hell," the ISPR stated.

The brief statement issued by the military’s media wing stated that weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the slain terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces and innocent civilians via murders and extortion.

It said that a sanitization operation was being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area. The ISPR reaffirmed Pakistain security forces’ determination to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country.

Sessions judge kidnapped by armed men near Tank-DI Khan border

[GEO.TV] District and Sessions Judge Shakirullah Marwat posted in South Waziristan was kidnapped by armed men near border area of Tank and Dera Ismail Khan in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, police said on Saturday.

DI Khan Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohammad Adnan confirmed the incident, which took place in a village named Bagwal in the border area between Tank and DI Khan when the sessions judge was on his way back to DI Khan, returning from duty.

He said that the abductors left the judge's car and driver on the spot.

Police said that no one has claimed the responsibility of the judge's abduction.

Reacting to the unfortunate incident, Pakistain Peoples Party (PPP) Central Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi expressed concern and grief over the matter.

He called on KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to explain the reason of his "non-seriousness" in the establishment of peace in the province.

"[The] CM should tell why isn't he serious about establishment of peace and why are ~~bandidos~~ krazed killerare on the loose," he asked.

Kundi said that the reports of the judge's abduction has given rise to sense of insecurity among the masses. He then prayed for the safe recovery of the judge.

Taking notice of the matter, KP CM Gandapur issued directives for safe recovery of the abducted judge. He said that emergency measures should be taken for Marwat's recovery and all available resources should be utilised for the task.

Gandapur condemned the incident, saying that elements involved in the kidnapping cannot escape justice.

Ringleaders among 3 terrorists killed in Khyber

[GEO.TV] Intensifying actions to eliminate the menace of terrorism in the country, security forces killed three murderous Moslems including two ringleaders Sohail aka Azmato and Haji Gul alias Zarkavi in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber district, the military's media wing said on Thursday.

The operation was conducted by the security forces on April 24-25 on the reported presence of gunnies in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s tribal district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

Security forces eliminated three gunnies after intense exchange of fire, as well as busted their hideout during the operation, it added.

The ISPR further said that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

"Locals of the area appreciated the operation. A sanitisation operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country," it concluded.

MILITARY PAYS TRIBUTE TO MARTYRED CUSTOMS OFFICIALS
Separately, the senior army commanders visited the families of eight martyred Customs’ officials who laid their lives in the line of duty in Dera Ismail Khan in two separate incidents that took place earlier this month.

In due recognition of this selfless sacrifice in fight against illegal spectrum and as an expression of solidarity, the commanders met the families of the martyred officials at their homes to express condolences, pay tribute and pledge unfliching support on behalf of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir.

The families expressed their gratitude to the Pakistain Army for the support and respect.

The military’s media wing said: "Shuhadas and Ghazis are our pride and their respect and honour is binding on each Pak. We must never forget that the peace and freedom we enjoy today is due to the ultimate sacrifices rendered by these brave sons of soil."

"We as nation salute Shuhada families for sacrificing their loved ones for Pakistain," it concluded.

According to the communique, the military’s media wing said the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in DI Khan sanctuaries on the reported presence of terrorists.

At least 92% of all fatalities and 86% of attacks, including those related to terrorism and security forces operations, were recorded in the KP and Balochistan provinces in the first quarter of 2024.

These key findings were revealed in the Q1 2024 Security Report issued by the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), detailing that the country witnessed at least 432 violence-linked fatalities and 370 injuries among civilians, security personnel and outlaws resulting from as many as 245 incidents of terror attacks and counter-terror operations.

Among the 432 fatalities, 281 included that of civilians and security forces personnel.

Terrorists involved in attacks on Customs officials killed in DI Khan operation

One of the most-wanted terrorists, Jahanzaib, was also among those killed in the operation conducted on Monday in the KP district, the CTD said in a statement.

The dead terrorists, according to the statement, were also involved in extortion and attacks on security forces as well as murder.

The ~~bandidos~~ turbans were present in the district with plans to cause sabotage, it added.

"The escape routes of the ~~bandidos~~ turbans were blocked," the CTD said, adding that there is a fear of the presence of controllers of ~~bandidos~~ turbans in the local population.

"Strict action is also being taken against the controllers," the agency maintained.

Last weekend, two officials of Customs were bumped off in an attack near York Toll Plaza in DI Khan, while four others sustained injuries in the gun attack.

This attack came just days after a previous one on April 18, during which six people, including five customs officials, were killed in a firing incident on the Sago Road in Daraban tehsil of the district.

According to the communique, the military’s media wing said the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in DI Khan sanctuaries bases on the reported presence of terrorists.

"During the conduct of the operation, after an intense fire exchange, 10 ~~bandidos~~ bully boyz were successfully neutralised and sent to hell," the ISPR said.

It also added that the killed ~~bandidos~~ bully boyz remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area against security forces as well as innocent civilians.

"Arms and ammunition were also recovered from them," it added.

In a separate operation, the security forces bumped off a terrorist in North Waziristan, the ISPR added.

Locals of the area appreciated the operations of the security forces, who remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.

Last week, the security forces killed seven ~~bandidos~~ bully boyz trying to infiltrate the Pakistain-Afghan border in the general area of Spinkai, Ghulam Khan, North Waziristan district.

Movement of a group of seven terrorists, trying to infiltrate the Pakistain-Afghanistan border, was detected by security forces in the general area Spinkai, Ghulam Khan, North Waziristan district, the ISPR had said.

It said the infiltrators were surrounded, effectively engaged and after an intense fire exchange, all seven ~~bandidos~~ bully boyz were "sent to hell". A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also recovered from the killed terrorists.

The ISPR had said Pakistain has consistently been asking the interim Afghan government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border.

The interim Afghan government is expected to fulfil its obligations and prevent the use of Afghan soil by ~~bandidos~~ bully boyz for perpetrating acts of terrorism against Pakistain.

"The security forces of Pakistain are committed to securing its borders and eliminating the menace of terrorism from the country," the ISPR had said.

As the KP continues to battle the scourge of terrorism, the province's Inspector General of Police (IGP) Akhtar Hayat Khan on April 11 said that as many as 88 ~~bandidos~~ bully boyz have been neutralised in various anti-terror operations since January 1, 2024.

Two Customs officials gunned down in another DI Khan attack

According to the law enforcement officials, four others sustained injuries in the gun attack and have been shifted to the DHQ Hospital.

The police said that the unidentified armed assailants escaped the site of the incident after opening fire.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, reiterating that such cowardly acts could not shake the resolve of the government and the fight against terrorism would continue till their complete elimination.

The prime minister prayed for the departed souls and for the bereaved families to bear the losses with fortitude, PM Office Media Wing said in a blurb.

He said that looking after the bereaved families of the officials was now a responsibility of the government and directed Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chairman to prepare shuhada package for the bereaved families.

This is the second time that Customs officials came under attack in DI Khan in the same week. On April 18, six people, including five Customs officials, were killed in a firing incident in the KP district.

The armed attackers, who hid in bushes, attacked the Customs’ vehicle and expeditiously departed at a goodly pace unchallenged on cycle of violences.

Five Customs officials gunned down in DI Khan

The law enforcers said the person or persons unknown targeted the Customs officials on the Sago Road in Daraban tehsil of the district.

Five Customs personnel and a passer-by were killed in the firing incident, the police added.

The armed attackers, who hid in bushes, attacked the Customs’ vehicle and expeditiously departed at a goodly pace unchallenged on cycle of violences.

Due to the attack, the driver of the Customs vehicle lost control and collided with another vehicle, resulting in the death of the citizen.

The bodies of the victims were shifted to the district headquarters hospital (DHQ) by rescue ambulances.

Following the incident, police and law enforcement agencies cordoned off the site of the incident and gathered forensic evidence.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur "strongly" condemned the incident and expressed regret over the martyrdom of the Customs officials and a passer-by in the incident.

He offered condolences to the families of the dear departed and directed the coppers to take necessary steps to arrest the elements involved in the incident.

During the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, KP and Balochistan provinces accounted for over 92% of all fatalities and 86% of attacks (including incidents of terrorism and security forces operations), according to a The News report.

These were the key findings of the Q1 2024 Security Report issued by Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS). Individually, KP suffered 51% and Balochistan 41% of all fatalities in Q1, 2024. The data indicates that the remaining regions were relatively peaceful, suffering less than 8% of all fatalities.
