#1
With a Butterball Turkey's running $29.00 to $44.00. The wife and I are looking at Chicken this year.

BTW: Anyone buying one of those ALREADY COOKED T-Birds @ $3.95 a pound, this holiday?

#2 Nope. Right now Mrs. Ret. and I will use the NAS Whidbey Admiral Nimitz Hall and have dinner there, $11.40 a head.
Did this a few years back and was pretty good, had to hold the wine for once back at the ranch, but otherwise, satisfying.
And no dishes to wash.

#3 As Gawd is my witness, one of the funniest TV bits ever.

Turkey Day without dishes to wash sounds like heaven.
Q: Is turkey still spelled 'turkey' or was it just the country that changed its name?

#4 None of this discussion does anything to resolve the "Is it called stuffing / filling / dressing?" conundrum..

#5 "Is it called stuffing / filling / dressing?"

Regionalisms. All are equally correct among their own populations, however scattered after the recent Covid work-from-home rearrangements.

#6 I was just trying to be amusing. I had PA Dutch in-laws and it was filling at their table. I grew up calling it stuffing. I've only ever seen it called dressing on a menu, I can't even remember where.

Once upon a time in the south, soda pop was called "a dope."
