The two hostages inside the residence were pronounced dead at the scene

Incongruous.
Sounds like a gunfight in a closet.
Wonder if we'll ever see a report of whom was killed by what bullets.

#5 Austin (a/k/a The People's Republic of Travis County) does indeed have a woke Soros DA, and the police dept has been hemoraging personnel, to the point of the issuing statements to the effect of "if it's not a felony, don't call".
The state gov offices have been forced to bring in DPS (state police) and county officers for security, as they can tell the city to take a hike off of state property.
My son is a SWAT officer in a medium sized city here, and they won't even train with Austin anymore. If you're interested in the soap opera that is Austin, try Battleswarmblog.
