#1 A interesting question was posed on a other site.

Can the pumping oil out of underground deposits create massive voids? Which could then could produce voids/faults that could promote geological issues like earthquakes?

eg. The new oil deposits found off the coast of Morocco in 2009 that have been collected.

#4 Traveled through that area in 1970 with a school archeological research group. (Didn't pursue that career path ultimately, otherwise my life would be in ruins.)

Let's just say that Building Codes were not a 'thing' for their structures back then, and I'm pretty sure that hasn't changed much.
