#2 One thing's for sure (both in the West and in Russia), it appears this skirmish has allowed all parties to clean out their garages, attics, and other storage areas.

#5 Being carrier jets, their front landing gear is stronger than that of the f16/15. That is beneficial for Ukraine where the take-off and landing strips comprise mostly of highways and roads, often not good in quality.

#7 The F-16 also has a huge vacuum cleaner under the chin that wants to suck every object into the engine. MiG operators are not known for their meticulous FOD cleanup. The F-18 also has excellent low speed takeoff/landing, but the main feature is the good radar+AMRAMM combo that can compete with the Su-35 in BVR.
