#1 Considering, geosynchronous orbit (GSO) is 22,230+/- miles. I wonder how many Sat's will die this week as it punches through them ?

Maybe Direct-TV????

#2 Do the math. The volume of geosynchronous space is a stupidly big number, even if small by astronomical standards.

Chance of winning the lottery is better.

#4 Fourth closest, other than, you know, the ones which have hit.

Watch parties have been set up for a couple days now, so this is some DM floosie overhearing a cocktail conversation and reporting breathless news.

#6 DM floosie

Well, you know, the NASA @AsteroidWatch Twitter account has nada. Same for the NASA main Twitter.

#7 NASA and their fake Mission Control full of Diverse and hyper-stoked about space participants is the best PR they've done since they fired that actual technician who was actually excited about that mission for his Hawaiian shirt's pattern.

#8 Oh I see.

NASA is busy trying to figure how many hundreds of millions to give to Boeing.

#9 USA with 2,804+ SAT's in orbit and over 4,800 total for all nations.

I honestly think the odds are slim, but plausibly good, that something might get bumped as the asteriod dips 18,000 miles below geo sync obital area.

Oh!
