NIA raids 8 places in Jammu and Kashmir in terror funding case
2023-12-17
December 5
[GreaterKashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
] The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday conducted raids at eight locations in Jammu and Kashmir in connection with a terror funding case.

The raids are still underway in close coordination with Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) at seven locations in Kashmir and one in Jammu, said sources privy to the development.

The agency sleuths are carrying out these raids at Shopian and Baramulla, among other areas. The places searched included the residents and other hideouts of the suspects linked to the case.

The raids were conducted days after the central agency arrested an accused in the Pakistain-backed terrorism case involving the delivery of weapons through drones to snuffies active in Kashmir.

The agency had shared the input on November 29 after a team from the NIA Jammu Branch nabbed 22-year-old namely Zakir Hussain of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on November 27.

He was the eight accused to be arrested in the case registered by the NIA on July 30 last year after taking over the case from Kathua Police.

One of the seven accused arrested earlier had died due to cardiac arrest while in judicial custody while two Pakistain-based terror operatives are absconding.

NIA is continuing with its investigations in the matter to unravel the bigger conspiracy of Pakistain-backed terrorist groups to carry out acts of terror and violence in the Kashmir valley and across India. (ANI)

Taliban invited to Moscow for a meeting on Afghanistan
2023-07-17
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] A representative of the Taliban movement (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) was invited to Moscow to participate in a discussion of the situation in Afghanistan. This was announced on July 16 by Assistant Director for Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan Hafiz Zia Ahmad .

"Russian Ambassador Dmitry Zhirnov the day before [July 15] met with [Afghan Foreign Minister] Mavlawi Amir Khan Muttaki and provided information on the upcoming Moscow format meeting on Afghanistan, and also invited the Foreign Minister to take part in this meeting," Ahmad was quoted as saying by link to the message in the social network "Interfax".

According to him, at the July 15 meeting in Kabul, the head of the Afghan Foreign Ministry expressed his gratitude for the invitation to Moscow. Muttaki called the Moscow format an important platform for resolving the situation in Afghanistan.

Muttaki reminded Zhirnov that representatives of the Afghan government had already come to Moscow for talks in 2021, but last year the Moscow format meeting took place without them.

Regarding the meeting to which he was invited, the Afghan Foreign Minister told the Russian diplomat that this event should be used in the context of diplomatic relations.

The Taliban, an organization banned in Russia, has been in power in Afghanistan since August 2021. She came to power as a result of a coup d'état, which occurred against the backdrop of the departure of the American contingent from the republic.

In 2022, the Moscow format held a meeting in November, and in 2021 in October. At the talks in 2021, a delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Interim Government of Afghanistan Abdul Salam Hanafi came to Moscow .

According to the results of the meeting, the head of the third political department of the Afghan Foreign Ministry, Zakir Jalali , all participants in the meeting supported the decision on the need to unfreeze the assets of Afghanistan, which Washington froze.

The Moscow format includes Russia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. It has been functioning as a platform for resolving the situation in Afghanistan since 2017.

Israel and allies foiled 50 Iranian terror plots in recent years, Gallant says
2023-07-14
[IsraelTimes] During official visit to Azerbaijan, defense minister accuses Tehran of leading ’worldwide terror campaign’ against Israeli and Jewish targets

Israel and allied nations foiled more than 50 attacks Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
had attempted to carry out against Israelis and Jews across the world in recent years, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said during a visit to Azerbaijan on Thursday.

Iran has been engaged in a shadow war with Israel for years, with Tehran accusing Jerusalem of being behind a series of sabotage attacks and liquidations targeting its nuclear program, carried out alongside the US. Israel in turn, has mutually accused Iran of attempting to target Israelis and Jews abroad, as well as numerous cyberattacks against the Jewish state.

"In recent years, Iran has been leading a worldwide terror campaign, with unprecedented scope, targeting Israelis and Jews around the world," Gallant told news hounds during an official trip to Azerbaijan.

"There have been more than 50 attempted attacks in recent years. Most of them were ready to go, and were foiled at the last moment," he said.

"Thanks to our defense establishment, thanks to close cooperation with many countries, and thanks to the understanding that Iran is a global threat, we foiled these attempts and saved lives," Gallant added.

Earlier on Thursday, Gallant met with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev in Baku, as he began his two-day visit signifying the burgeoning relationship between the two countries.

Gallant and Aliyev discussed recent regional and global events, as well as ways to boost strategic ties and cooperation against shared challenges, the defense minister’s office said in a statement.

"In this regard, they also touched on areas of security and industrial cooperation," the readout said. "Minister Gallant expressed his appreciation to the President for his leadership and personal commitment to deepening the bond between their countries, starting with the opening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Israel."

"The discussion built on the previous meeting held between the leaders this year, within the framework of the Munich Security Conference," the statement added.

Gallant later met with Azerbaijan’s defense minister, Col. Gen. Zakir Hasanov; State Border Service chief Col. Gen. Elchin Guliyev; and other senior defense officials.

He was accompanied by his chief of staff, Shachar Katz; military secretary Brig. Gen. Guy Markizeno; and the director of the ministry’s Political-Military Bureau, Dror Shalom.

According to a Defense Ministry statement on Wednesday, the visit was to focus on bolstering strategic ties in "diplomacy, security, and technology."

Gallant’s arrival came two days after Baku announced it had arrested a 23-year-old Afghan national on suspicion of planning an attack on Israel’s embassy.
That would be Fawzan Musa Khan, about whom very little is known, despite having his passport.

‘Driving privileges' law for illegal migrants goes into effect in Rhode Island
2023-07-01
Let us wish them much joy of it.
[JustTheNews] A new law giving illegal migrants the authority to drive in Rhode Island officially goes into effect Saturday.

The change comes a year after legislation in both chambers of the General Assembly was passed.

Late last June, Gov. Dan McKee swiftly signed House Bill 7939 and companion legislation Senate Bill 2006, into law, starting the countdown clock to the law’s enactment to the midpoint of this calendar year.

The new law means undocumented motorists will have the opportunity to obtain what state officials are referring to as “driving privilege cards” from the Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles in lieu of the standard driver’s licenses that are issued.

When he signed the bill into law last year at a ceremony, McKee said the changes within it are “an important issue for our economy, equality, and public safety.”

“By granting every Rhode Islander of driving age the opportunity to safely and legally drive a vehicle, we are allowing them to further their education and career – which, in turn, benefits the entire state,” McKee said in a release.

In the statement, McKee cited years-long efforts from lawmakers and advocates across the state.

“(The law) means more workers will have access to more jobs and opportunities that keep Rhode Island’s momentum going,” McKee said.

Sen. Frank Ciccone, D-Providence, was one of several lawmakers in both chambers of the General Assembly to back the bills when they were introduced a year ago. Ciccone was a sponsor of SB2006.

Ciccone cited several reasons for the reforms encapsulated in the law, including safety for all motorists on the road.

“We need to ensure that all drivers, regardless of immigration status, are trained, tested, and insured when driving on our roads,” Ciccone said in a statement. “If the worst were to happen, and an accident occurs involving an undocumented person driving our residents and businesses are protected far better if this legislation is enacted, as opposed to the status quo.”

The new law does include several caveats for undocumented motorists seeking a privilege card.

A tax administrator, for instance, will be required to verify that the applicant has filed a personal income tax return as a Rhode Island resident or been claimed as a dependent in the preceding year.

Applicants also must furnish documents proving their identity and comply with all insurance requirements.

Rhode Island councilman busted with crack cocaine pipe in hand now charged with child molestation
2023-06-09
Maybe he can get Hunter's law team.
[FoxNews] Matthew Reilly was found incapacitated in his car in May, when officers say they discovered illicit substances

The city councilman from Rhode Island who was arrested on allegations of substance abuse has now been charged with child molestation.

Cranston City Councilman Matthew Reilly, who is already facing charges of drug possession, is now charged with multiple counts of child molestation after the guardian of a 12-year-old girl filed a complaint with the Cranston Police Department.

Reilly was arrested Thursday morning and taken into custody without incident. Cranston Police Department has declined to comment on the case.

Reilly's attorney, Michael Lepizzera, Jr., has asked the public to refrain from jumping to conclusions in the face of the new charges.

"With these types of charges, I can see the general public and even close friends instantaneously turning their back on Mr. Reilly and drawing knee jerk conclusions," Lepizzera told The Daily Beast in an email Thursday. "I simply ask everyone to refrain from public ridicule and gossip and allow the legal process to unfold in the ordinary course."

Lepizzera continued in his statement without directly commenting on the charges, calling the U.S. justice system "near perfect" and saying the courts should be trusted as "final adjudicator" of "any legal outcome."

Reilly, a Republican, was previously arrested in May after a passerby tipped police off to a man who appeared to be having a medical episode in his car.

Reilly, 41, was found passed out in the driver's seat, and an officer on the scene told Reilly, "You have a crack pipe in your hands," according to the bodycam footage. An officer observed that he appeared to have difficulty breathing or was choking, according to a police report.

Reilly, who was the chairman of the Cranston Republican Party, appeared disoriented but was polite and cooperated with police as he was questioned. He initially denied having drugs in his car but later allegedly admitted to buying $100 worth of crack cocaine the day before.

Police discovered a "white, rock-like substance" inside a container found in the vehicle's center console. The substance later tested positive for cocaine and fentanyl, according to police.

A search of the vehicle turned up additional drug paraphernalia, including a scouring pad, another pipe and tools used to scrape and prep the pipe, the police report said.

Militant, facilitator involved in Swat shootout in May arrested: KP IG
2023-06-06
[Dawn] Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General (IG) Akhtar Hayat Khan said on Monday that Swat
...a valley and an administrative district in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistain, located 99 mi from Islamabad. It is inhabited mostly by Pashto speakers. The place has gone steadily downhill since the days when Babe Ruth was the Sultan of Swat...
police had arrested a terrorist and a "local controller" involved in a shootout in Swat’s remote area of Banjot last month, during which "some [militants] had managed to flee" an hours-long police operation.

On May 23, residents of the mountainous area in Manglawar union had alerted police after seeing some suspected people.

"Upon receiving the information, police and security forces reached the area. We launched a joint operation against the suspected armed persons, but the area is so complicated and remote that they managed to flee," Swat district’s police officer, Shafiullah Gandapur had told Dawn at the time.

A citizen was killed in the incident.

IG Akhtar said while addressing a presser in Swat today that the counter-terrorism department and police had used all available technical resources to arrest the snuffies who had fled in the incident and as a result, a murderous Moslem, identified as Rafiullah alias Jawad, and a controller, identified as Asmatullah, were arrested.

He said both of them were residents of Charbagh and the group they were associated with had been involved in extortion and murder. This group, the IG added, also had links with the murderous Moslem Saleem Rabbani group.

IG Akhtar further stated that another murderous Moslem associated with the two arrested men, Zakirullah, had joined the Swat chapter of outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban
...Arabic for students...
Pakistain last year.

"He was also involved in the [Banjot] incident and search for him is under way."

Regarding Rafiullah, the IG said he had moved to Afghanistan along with his family in 2012. He returned to Swat last year and used forged documents to declare himself as the son of a resident in Pakistain, IG Akhtar added.

He further stated that Rafiullah had crossed the Torkham border multiple times using fake documents and was trained in Afghanistan.

Sharing details of other incidents that the arrested men had been involved in, the IG said weapons were seized from them in large quantities.

"They had kept the weapons in very safe, weather-proof containers ... in mountains ... to use them in subsequent operations," he added.

Moreover, he also shared a list of individuals who he said were on the detained men’s target list. Among them, he added, was a constable on Buner police as they were "suspicious that he had been informing about their routes".

The IG said they had admitted to collecting extortion money from former MPAs and and confessed that they planned hand grenade attacks on their houses.

"Their objective behind all this was to create and environment of fear and terror and create and widen a breach ... between the people and institutions," IG Akhtar said.

He said during the investigation, two "shortcoming" were highlighted: the infiltration of snuffies through the border on the basis of false identities and local facilitation.

Both of these would be addressed, he added.

Understanding radicalisation in Kerala and how seeds were sown 30 years back
2023-05-03
[OneIndia] The Kerala Story, a movie slated for release on May 5 has already created a controversy with many leaders demanding a ban on the same.

The movie says that nearly 32,000 girls were converted to Islam and sold off as sex slaves. While there is no official count on the numbers, there are documented cases of several women joining the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
in Afghanistan after being converted.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is probing a case which relates to 24 from Kerala joining the Islamic State in Afghanistan, which is also known as the Islamic State Afghanistan Khorsan Province.

In recent years, radicalisation has been an often debated matter, especially in Kerala. The probe that was conducted into the now banned Popular Front of India and also the activities of radical Islamic preacher, Zakir Naik
Indian Islamic preacher, founder and president of the Islamic Research Foundation, which doesn't rely very heavily on the scientific method. He is also the founder of the oxymoronic Peace TV channel through which he reaches 200 million viewers. He has been called an authority on comparative religion and the most influential Salafi ideologue in India, though usually by himself. Before becoming a public speaker, he trained as a physician. His preaching is currently banned in India, Bangladesh, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Antarctica. He is currently holed up in Malaysia, where he's not banned...
by the central agencies showed the extent of radicalisation that had crept into the society.

The problem of radicalisation began when the Gulf-funded Wahhabi preachers began visiting Kerala. With them came a change in the mindset of many in the state. It would be completely wrong to say that the problem of radicalisation is spread across Kerala, but yes there are pockets where it is immense, a counter-terror and counter-radicalisation expert explains to OneIndia.

To understand how old the problem is, one has to visit the Lal Singh vs State of Gujarat
...where rioting seems to be a traditional passtime...
case of 1991.

The case relates to one Basheer a resident of Kerala, who was part of the bad boy faction of the Students Islamic Movement of India. He had organised a convention in Mumbai and later on it was found that the same was done to create a liaison between the Khalistan forces and SIMI.

V Balachandran, former officer with the Research and Analysis Wing explains that Lal Singh was brought in by Pakistain, who was part of the Khalistan movement. Pakistain had wanted the SIMI to grow with a particular target on South India. Basheer had even surveyed several targets in South India, including the Madras Stock Exchange with the intention of bombing it. That however did not work out.

Balachandran said that when it comes to Kerala, the two main concerns that the agencies had found was the issue of radicalisation.

Going by the Lal Singh case, it appears as though the phenomenon is not new and the seeds of radicalisation had been sown over 30 years back.

The National Investigation Agency is probing the Kerala Islamic State case. The agency noted that all those who had left for Afghanistan are educated. During the probe the agency learnt that the brainwashing was so strong that many who did not subscribe to the view of the Islamic State finally were convinced.

Amid the raging controversy over the upcoming film 'The Kerala Story', the producers of the film on Tuesday changed the text of the introduction to the film in its latest teasers on YouTube.

Earlier, the text mentioned that around 32,000 women have gone missing from Kerala. Now the changed version says that three women, who after getting brainwashed, converted and were sent on terror missions in India and abroad.

The film starring Adah Sharma, slated to release on May 5 created a major controversy when it claimed that 32,000 women have left the state.

As soon as the teaser of the film was released, the ruling CPI(M)-led Left and the UDF demanded that the film should not be screened.

Leader of Opposition V.D. Satheesan said their stand has been clear and in the name of expression of freedom, they will not allow anyone to spread canards and it will be appropriately dealt with and they have already asked for a ban of the film.

A petition was filed before the Kerala High Court on Tuesday seeking a ban on the screening of the film.

Certain outfits announced cash prizes to prove the claim. The Kerala State Committee of Moslem Youth League announced a reward of Rs 1 crore for the individual who proves the "allegations" levelled in the movie. A right-wing activist and founder of the Hindu Seva Kendra Pratheesh Viswanath also offered Rs 10 crore to prove the opposite -- that no one from Kerala has gone to Syria to join IS.

The film is directed by Sudipto Sen. It traces the journey of four female college students in Kerala who become part of Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
The film also stars Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani. It is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah.

Three soldiers martyred, seven ‘militants’ killed in KP attacks
2023-04-29
[Dawn] Follow up to the events of yesterday.
  • Suicide bomber on bike blows himself up near army compound

  • New militant group claims responsibility

The Pakistain Army confirmed on Friday that gunnies targeted security forces in three overnight attacks in the Lakki Marwat district, triggering shoot-outs in which three soldiers were martyred and seven gunnies were killed.

In the first attack, a jacket wallah on a cycle of violence went kaboom! near a security forces camp, located in the Government Postgraduate College, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement. The attack was followed by a fierce exchange of fire in which soldiers killed four bully boys.

The two other incidents took place in the district’s Amir Kalam and Tajbi Khel areas, during which another three bully boys, including key bully boy commander Musa Khan, were bumped off, the military’s media wing said, adding that weapons and ammunition were seized from their possession.

Tehrik-e-Jihad Pakistain, a bully boy group that surfaced for the first time, has grabbed credit for the attacks in a statement issued by the organization’s front man, Mulla Mohammad Qasim.

Rooters also cited a report by an intelligence agency that identified the new, little-known bully boy group as being involved in the attacks, though the report couldn’t be immediately confirmed.

The attacks were reported on Thursday night, but there was no official word from military or security agencies regarding the incidents or the number of casualties then.

ISPR said soldiers repulsed all the attacks, which took place within a short span of time.

The three martyred soldiers were identified as Naib Subedar Taj Mir, 40, resident of Nowshera district; Havaldar Zakir Ahmed, 38, from Abbottabad
... A pleasant city located only 30 convenient miles from Islamabad. The city is noted for its nice weather and good schools. It is the site of Pakistain's military academy, which was within comfortable walking distance of the residence of the late Osama bin Laden....
; and Sepoy Abid Hussain, 29, from Dera Ismail Khan
... the Pearl of Pashtunistan ...
district.

"Sanitisation of the areas is being carried out to eliminate any other holy warriors found in the area. Security forces of Pakistain are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve," the military said.

The bloodshed in Lakki Marwat came after the military declared a new offensive against gunnies amid a resurgence of attacks in recent months, including a Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistain's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire...
mosque bombing that killed scores of 100 people in February.

The bully boy attacks across the country, especially in KP and Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...
, have been on the rise since the outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
Pakistain ended its ceasefire with the government in November.

Back in March, CNN reported:
A statement from Tehreek e Jihad Pakistan (TJP) sent to CNN confirmed that the group was formed on February 23 in order to “establish an Islamic system in Pakistan” through the use of “armed Jihad.”
A singularly unhelpful announcement, except inasmuch as it provides an official start date for the group. One of these days no doubt we’ll learn that it’s just the usual false-nose-and-mustache for Tehrik-e Taliban (Pakistan) or the Haqqani Network.

On Monday, 38-year-old Zaaina Asra Zakirrah Mahvish-Jammeh allegedly lured 36-year-old Leah Rosin-Pritchard to the living room of a homeless shelter in Battleboro, Vermont, along the eastern border of the state, just across the Connecticut River from New Hampshire.

Rosin-Pritchard, who moved to Vermont from Rhode Island because of her desire to help others, initially hesitated to meet with Mahvish-Jammeh there, telling a colleague that Mahvish-Jammeh's request for a meeting was "kind of strange," according to a report from Battleboro police. However, she went to the living room anyway. Almost immediately, Mahvish-Jammeh reportedly drew an axe she had recently purchased from a hardware store and began attacking Rosin-Pritchard with it.

Screams brought other staff and residents to the room, where they begged the suspect to stop. One resident of the shelter who witnessed the brutal slaying claimed it has traumatized him.

Two Daesh Fighters Killed in PD17 of Kabul
2023-02-28
[ToloNews] The Islamic Emirate reported that two members of ISIS were killed and another was arrested Sunday night as a result of an operation at their hideout in the Zakirn township in Kabul's PD17.

The Islamic Emirate's deputy spokesperson, Bilal Karimi, added that this group had a destructive purpose but was stopped before reaching its target.

"Last night, Islamic Emirate forces carried out an operation on a ISIS hideout in the Khairkhana area of Zakrin in Kabul city, as a result of which two ISIS members were killed, and one was arrested. The forces of the Islamic Emirate have also obtained a lot of weapons and ammunition rounds," Karimi noted.

Several residents of PD17 said that these people had rented and resided at the home for eight months, and they added that there have been financial losses due to damage from the fighting.

"These people were residing in a home that the owner had rented them for about eight months. The owner of the home didn't let us know, and one of these individuals had a Zaranj cycle of violence, as if he was working in the market," said Zainullah, a people’s representative in PD17.

"We have financial losses, but happily no one was hurt. When I got home from work, the residence of these people was surrounded," said Zabiullah, a resident of PD17.

"In order to prevent the spread and rise of this group, it is vital to fight in a coordinated manner and build a regional consensus against them," said Sadiq Shinwari, a military analyst.

Earlier this month, the forces of the Islamic Emirate conducted a military operation against a ISIS hideout in the Karte-Now area of Kabul, which resulted in the deaths of three and the injury of one of the group's members.
Khaama Press adds:
One of the killed snuffies was Qari Fateh, known as the intelligence chief and a former minister of war of the IS-Khorasan province, said Mujahid.

The statement also said that Qari Fateh was the main criminal mastermind for the ISK and was responsible for planning several attacks, including those on Russian, Pakistain, and Chinese diplomatic missions in Kabul.

Mujahid also confirmed the killing of Rjaz Ahamd Ahangar, also known as Abu Osman, the so-called first Amir of the Islamic state Hind province and a big shot of the ISK in southern Afghanistan along with two others members of the group.

The statement also said that several other ISIS members, including foreign nationals, have been detained who planned deadly attacks in recent days.
