NIA Attaches Kashmiri Businessman Watali's Properties In Terror Funding Case

[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday attached properties of businessman Zahoor Ahmad Shah Watali
...arrested with Yasin Malik on the business of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front. JKLF is a Kashmiri nationalist organization founded in Birmingham, UK in 1977. Branches weren't actually established in Kashmir for another ten years. It has the usual demands for separation of J&K from secular India so it can become an independent Islamic rathole. It seems to have no interest in Pak Kashmir breaking away to join it. In 1994 Malik renounced violence after he was released from jail and from that point he and his organization pursued peaceful means to impose their will on the region...

's Kupwara district in connection with a terror funding case, officials said.

They said a team of the NIA attached the immovable properties in the name of Watali at villages Baghatpora and Kachwari in Handwara area of the north Kashmir district.

The properties include land in the name of Watali, an accused in the terror funding case, the officials said. They said the properties were attached following an order by the Special NIA Court in New Delhi in May.

Watali was arrested by the NIA in 2017 under various sections of the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

A trial court had in May last year framed charges against Watali and others in a case related to alleged terrorism and secessionist activities in Jammu and Kashmir in 2017. Watali was moved out of jail in February last year and placed under house arrest on medical grounds.
Let us hope his condition is very painful indeed, but of such a nature that he can fully appreciate the unravelling of the portfolio he built for the growth of JKLF funds.

Liberation Front (JKLF) is accused of being involved in the killing of four Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel in Kashmir, in 1990.

Speaking about the judgement, CBI lawyer Monika Kohli informed, "TADA court today issued a production warrant for Yasin Malik, next date of hearing is December 22". The hearing in the case has been adjourned till December 22.

Yasin Malik, who is serving life imprisonment in Tihar Jail in a terror funding case, is an accused in this case along with others. Yasin Malik was sentenced to life imprisonment twice. The NIA had sought the death penalty
for the separatist leader who was convicted on May 19 this year.

On January 25, 1990, four IAF employees including Squadron Leader Ravi Khanna were killed by the Lions of Islam of JKLF. Malik was charge-sheeted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) before the TADA court in Jammu on August 31, 1990, in connection with the case.

Nirmal Khanna, the wife of Squadron Leader Khanna, has been fighting for justice for her late husband. Notably, back in March 2020, a TADA court observed that there are "sufficient grounds for drawing presumption that the accused Yasin Malik" and others have "prima facie have committed" the offence of killing Indian Air Force (IAF) officer Squadron Leader Ravi Khanna and three others.

Ex-minister Babu Singh, who got funds from Pak-based terror organisations, chargesheeted
2022-09-25
[GreaterKashmir] The State Investigation Agency (SIA) Jammu of J&K Police Saturday filed a chargesheet against former minister Jatinder Singh alias Babu Singh for getting funds from Pakistain-based terrorist organizations.

A statement of the SIA issued here said that the chargesheet was filed against Muhammad Shareef Shah of Larnoo, Anantnag, and Muhammad Hussain Khateeb of Bhaderwah, Doda, presently living somewhere in Pakistain, in case FIR No 73/2022 of Police Station Gandhi Nagar, Jammu transferred to the SIA by the J&K Police Headquarters with the request to the court to file supplementary chargesheet soon.

The SIA statement said that Shah was arrested by Police in Jammu along with a terror fund of Rs 6.90 lakh meant for Singh and was intended to be used for the anti-national activities of Singh and his party ’Nature Mankind Friendly Global Party’.
What a friendly name — it sure makes me want to trust the people associated with it.
It said that Singh was in touch with the Lions of Islam of a proscribed terror organization Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) outfit and separatists of an unlawful association Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. Liberation Front (JKLF).

The statement said that these inimical entities had sent this terror fund from Pakistain through their associates for Singh’s party.

It said that the vision document of this party floated by accused Singh was to make J&K, PoK, and Gilgit Baltistan an independent country by making a condominium of Pakistain and India, for having joint control over currency, external affairs, and finance.

The statement said that in the investigation it was revealed that Singh was in contact with Khateeb over encrypted social media applications and had clandestinely visited Dubai for arranging funds.

It said that Shah was designated as secretary of this party that received these funds at Kashmir through an unknown person and travelled to Jammu to handover these funds to Singh and that this fund was arranged by Khateeb, HM terrorist operating from Pakistain, but Shah was arrested before he could hand over this terror fund to Singh.

The statement said that the investigation had established that Singh was conducting online meetings and interviews with an adversary and in his online address he had compared a terrorist, Maqbool Bhat with Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev and termed Bhat a "freedom fighter and martyr of J&K, who laid down his life for the independence of J&K".

It said that in one such online interview, Singh about the abrogation of Article 370 challenged and threatened the Government of India to desist from further breaking J&K.

The statement said that the association of Singh with Khateeb and other cadres of HM operating from Pakistain had also been established in the investigation.

It said that anti-national and highly-inflammatory content had been recovered by the SIA from Singh's mobile phone which establishes his intention to damage and threaten the unity, integrity, and illusory sovereignty of India.

Afghanistan
Pakistan Seeks Taliban to Arrest JeM Jihadist Militant Group Chief
2022-09-16
[KhaamaPress] Pakistain, in a letter to the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
in Afghanistan, demanded the arrest of Maulana Masood Azhar
...One of the major players in Pak terrorism. In early 1994, India incarcerated him for his activities. In 1995, foreign tourists were kidnapped in Jammu and Kashmir. The kidnappers included his release among their demands. One of the hostages managed to escape but the rest were eventually killed. In 1999, he was freed by the Indian government in exchange for passengers on hijacked Indian Airlines Flight 814 that had been diverted to Kandahar. The hijackers were led by Masood Azhar's brother, Ibrahim Athar. Once he was handed over to the hijackers, they fled to Pak territory despite the fact that Islamabad had earlier stated that any of the hijackers would be jugged at the border. The Pak government had also previously indicated that Azhar would be allowed to return home since he did not face any charges there. Shortly after his release, he made a public address to an estimated 10,000 people in Karachi, firing up the rubes against America and India...

(JeM), a Jihadist Death Eater group based in Pakistain, hinting that he is in Afghanistan, Pak media reported.

According to Pak media reports, the Pak Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially sent a correspondence to the Taliban government in Afghanistan, seeking the arrest of Masood Azhar.

Masood Azhar is allegedly hiding in Afghanistan, where the Pak government believes he is in the provinces of Kunar or Nangarhar
The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country..
, in eastern Afghanistan bordering Pakistain.

An arrest warrant was issued for Azhar by a Pak anti-terrorism court on grounds of raising funds and supporting a terrorist organization. Azhar is reportedly a UN-designated global terrorist.

, Pakistain in 2000 by Maulana Masood Azhar.

India, meanwhile, asserts that Pakistain consistently uses Azhar, the leader of a Pakistain-based terrorist group for terrorism-related activities in Kashmir.

The Taliban, on the other hand, reject the claims of Massod Azhari seeking refuge, according to a blurb on Wednesday. The Taliban "does not allow any armed oppositions in its territory to operate against any other country," the statement reads.

Kabul Denies Masoud Azhar’s Presence in Afghanistan

[ToloNews] Islamic Emirate spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid denied that Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Maulan Masood Azhar was in Afghanistan, and said he is in Pakistan.

Pakistani media reported that Pakistan's Foreign Ministry in a letter asked the Islamic Emirate to find and arrest Azhar.

“The leader of the Jaesh-e-Mohammad group is not here in Afghanistan. This is an organization which could be in Pakistan. Anyway, he is not in Afghanistan and we have not been asked anything like this. We have heard about it in the news. Our reaction is that this is not true,” Islamic Emirate spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said that such allegations can affect the relations between Kabul and Islamabad.

“We also call on all parties to refrain from such allegations lacking any proof and documentation. Such media allegations can adversely affect bilateral relations,” said Abdul Qahar Balkhi, a spokesman for MoFA.

The alleged letter said that Azhar is hiding somewhere in the eastern provinces of Nangarhar or Kunar, according to the anonymous source quoted by Pakistani media.

“It is obvious (Pakistanis) give officials statements about the individuals related to Pakistan. This is a confused (matter) and it also needs proof about whether he is present there (in Afghanistan) or not,” said Tahir Khan, a Pakistani journalist.

The Jaesh-e-Mohammad group is mainly active in Pakistan. The group claimed the responsibility for an attack in Jamu and Kashmir.

in two more "three decades old fictitious cases in a clear attempt to politically victimise him and forcing him to observe hunger strike unto death".

In a statement, the Foreign Office said Malik was already serving a life sentence awarded to him after a "sham trial" by an Indian court on May 25, 2022.

"Yasin Malik is also being denied the right of personal appearance in the ongoing trial, in complete contravention of legal and democratic norms," the FO regretted.

The statement said India had employed judiciary as a tool to damage the morale of Kashmiris by subjecting their leadership to "flagrant prejudice".

The FO pointed out that Malik, having been left with no legal recourse, eventually took the "desperate decision of going on a hunger strike unto death from July 22, 2022."

The inhuman incarceration of Malik, his sham trials under fabricated cases, his fallacious conviction and the malfeasant attempts at defiling the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiris for their right to self-determination as "terrorism" is nothing but further corroboration of India’s known credentials of being a serial violator of human rights
One man's rights are another man's existential threat.
, the FO said.

"The Kashmiris’ struggle for the right of self-determination is indigenous and cannot be dampened by the draconian strong-arm tactics of the Indian government."

In 1994 Malik renounced violence after he was released from jail and from that point he and his organization pursued peaceful means to impose their will on the region...
on Wednesday requested a special court here for physical appearance in a case related to the kidnapping of former chief minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed’s daughter Rubaiya, failing which he would sit on an indefinite hunger strike, officials said.

They said that Malik, who is undergoing a life sentence in a terror-funding case, appeared before the court through video conference.

Malik said he has written to the government for a physical appearance before the court.

He also informed the court that he has requested for cross examination of witnesses himself and said he would sit on hunger strike if his request was not accepted by the government.

The case pertains to the kidnapping of Rubaiya Sayeed on December 8, 1989. She was freed from captivity five days later on December 13 after the then V P Singh government, supported by the BJP at the Centre, released five Death Eaters from the Jammu and Kashmir

The case had gone into virtual cold storage and was revived after Malik was picked up by the National Investigation Agency in 2019 on charges of terror funding.

In January last year, the CBI, with help from special public prosecutors Monika Kohli and S K Bhat, framed charges against 10 people, including Malik, in the Rubaiya kidnapping case that turned out to be a turning point in the Valley’s volatile history.

This dude straight threw down with a kangaroo for six minutes and it was everything you'd expect
2022-06-02
Mods after over a decade I am still unable to post the video, please do
The video looks like the one we had a few days ago, though that one was identified only as having been filmed at some point in Ballina, New South Wales.
[NotTheBee] Yo, keep an eye out for kangaroos if you're ever in The Land Down Under. Cuz they DO NOT mess around.

Just ask this guy in this one-minute segment from his six-minute battle with a roo:

This happened in central Victoria and left local man Cliff Des bruised and battered.

Cliff is 59, and when he heard his dogs barking in the backyard he decided to investigate. Turns out they were barking at this "six-foot mad roo," and when Cliff tried to shoo the roo away, this magnificent fight broke out.

Cliff tried to run away, as you saw in the above video, but inevitably the two got to throwing down.

The 59-year-old pinned the kangaroo after it continued to attack him.

""I thought this guy means business, he was going to mongrel me if I didn't, I took him to the ground.

"It tried to gouge my face. I put my head down so it gouged me on the top of my head. It bit my finger. Then it put its back claw through my leg, about an inch-and-a-half through my back leg, shredded my pants down to the cuff."

Des then tried to run away again and it chased him around his car, with the ordeal lasting six minutes and 22 seconds."

A great sport, Des says he's happy the attack happened to him instead of one of the elderly residents or even one of the kids who are commonly seen in the area. He also said this, which just proves how good of a guy he is.

However, Des said he held no resentment towards kangaroos after the encounter, saying humans were on kangaroos' land.

"We built our roads over theirs. They're a beautiful animal.

"What I can take from the whole scenario is just don't go near them.

"They can snap...we don't know how they think."
