2024-05-13
Getting rid of those who supported the old government, one by one.
[TOLONEWS] The Kabul Security Command reported the arrest of Allah Gul Mujahid, a former parliament member of the previous government, on murder charges.

Khalid Zadran, spokesperson for the command, said that Allah Gul Mujahid will remain in jug until the completion of the legal proceedings and a competent court's decision.

Zadran identified the victim as Saeedullah, who was killed in February this year.

The spokesperson of the Kabul Security Command said, "Allah Gul Mujahid is the suspect in the case of the late Qari Saeedullah, who was killed on February 28, 2024. The existing documents and the nature of the case proceedings require that his freedom be restricted. Therefore, it has been decided that he will remain in detention until the investigation is complete and a decision is made by a competent court."

Mohammad Asif Faqiri, a legal analyst, told TOLOnews, "The enforcement and implementation of the penal code on someone who was once a power executor is a manifestation of social justice. Social justice necessitates accountability."

Family members of Allah Gul Mujahid have not yet made any public comments.

Allah Gul Mujahid had also been previously detained shortly after the return of the Islamic Emirate to power but was later released and left the country.

However,
alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk...
after mediation by the Commission for Contact with Afghan Figures, he returned to the country on June 25 last year.

Aziz Ma'arj, a political analyst, said, "It is true that the accused is considered innocent until a final court verdict is rendered; however, the accused is under detention to ensure the proceedings are conducted and to prevent escape from the law."

Allah Gul Mujahid served multiple terms as a representative of the people of Kabul in the House of Representatives of the former government.

Four Pakistani Migrants Kidnapped in Libyan Capital
2023-01-03
[LibyaReview] Four Pak migrants colonists have reportedly been kidnapped in Libya by human traffickers, their families told Pakistain’s Dawn newspaper.

The kidnappers asked for a ransom of 5.6 million Indian Rupees to be paid for their safe release. The kidnapped Moslem colonists Migrants are Aamir Hayat, Waleed Khan, Bilal Khan and Afzal Junaid, aged between 22 to 25 years.

Their family members claimed they had sold their land to finance their journey to Italia. They said they paid about 7.2 million Indian Rupees to an agent, who assured to take the youth to Europa

via Libya.

The brother of Aamir Hayat, said, "we are not aware who was that agent, but we were lured and deceived with assurance that our relatives will reach Europe at any cost."

However,
there's more than one way to skin a cat...
he said when the youth reached the Libyan coast about three months ago they were held by the group and shifted to a jail on the outskirts of the Libyan capital, Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
The families said a few youths of the area had earlier succeeded to reach Europe, and the agent used that "success" to attract the parents to pay according to his demand.

Saeedullah Jan, father of Bilal Khan, appealed to the Pak High Commissioner in Libya to play his role in release of the four men as they did not have enough money to get them freed from their captors.

They recalled that another four Pak youth were burnt to death when their boat caught fire mid-sea in the first week of October when they set out on a journey to reach Italia.

Notably, the Libyan Red Islamic Thingy said in a statement that rescue workers have recovered 15 bodies found on the coast in Sabratha. These included a number of bodies that were burned inside a boat and others on the beach.

A security source in Sabratha told Rooters that the bodies were migrants colonists caught in a dispute between two rival human traffickers in the city, a major hub for migration across the Mediterranean. The Libyan Red Islamic Thingy added that all of the bodies were recovered and placed in the hospital fridges to complete the legal procedures.

The United Nations

Support Mission to Libya (UNSMIL) strongly condemned the "heinous killing of at least 15 migrants colonists and asylum-seekers in Sabratah." In a statement, the United Nations (UN) said that eleven charred bodies were found inside the docked boat, with a further four maimed bodies found outside.

Libyan security forces announced that they have arrested two suspect of the in the massacre.

All the affected children, detected last year, hadn't received any dose of the oral polio vaccine because of the ban imposed on immunisation in the area by Taliban in June 2012.

All the affected children detected in 2014 hadn't been administered anti-polio vaccine owing to the Taliban's ban.
