Two KDPI members killed in Sulaimani province
2023-07-08
[Rudaw] Two members of the Kurdistan Democratic Party
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
of Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
(KDPI) were killed in an overnight attack in Sulaimani province, the party announced on Friday, placing blame on the Iranian regime.

Adel Muhajir, also known as Sarbaz, and Luqman Aji were visiting Qaladze town northern Sulaimani province
...Shafaq News spells all that as Qaladiza in Sulaymaniya, and the victims as Adel Muhajir and Luqman Naji...
when they were targeted and killed in a "premeditated" attack by an "Iranian regime hitman," the KDPI said in a statement.

The party condemned the attack and the Iranian regime, and called on authorities in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region to take a firm stance against Tehran.

According to Hengaw Human Rights Organization, which monitors human rights
...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you...
in Kurdish areas of Iran, the attack was carried out by Rasul Azarabakhish, a former KDPI member who left the party over six years ago and joined the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Hengaw added that after shooting the KDPI members, Azarabakhish, who was reportedly visiting the Kurdistan Region under the pretext of searching for a job, fled towards Iranian forces on the border to seek protection.

The KDPI is a Kurdish opposition party that has waged an on-and-off war against the Iranian government since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. The party has been based in the Kurdistan Region since the 1980’s and Iran frequently bombards areas where the KDPI is present, including using ballistic missiles in what it says are efforts to target the group. Tehran has threatened further military action if Baghdad and Erbil do not secure the border areas and disarm the opposition groups.

Iraqi and Kurdistan Region officials have repeatedly criticized the presence of exiled Kurdish opposition groups within their borders, saying they harm relations with their neighbors.

On March 19, Iraq's National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji and Iran's then-Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani signed a security deal in which they agreed to coordinate to protect the shared border. The agreement is seen as a joint step against Kurdish dissident groups based in the Kurdistan Region.

Al-Shabaab commander's son arrested in Costa Rica
2023-04-11
[Garowe] Authorities in Costa Rica have arrested the son of a senior commander of Somalia, a terror group that controls large swathes of rural central and southern Somalia.

Lutrnan Warsame Farah, the eldest son of the high-ranking big shot of al-Shabaab
...... the personification of Somali state failure...
, a Somali terrorist group, was arrested and detained in Costa Rica, where he had been staying in hotels using false identities and a Swedish passport belonging to someone else, reports indicate.
All those Swedes look alike, after all.
According to reports, Farah was traced and deported to Guatemala by the National Intelligence and Security Agency [DIS] but was sent back to Costa Rica. Already, the Federal Bureau of Investigations [FBI] had warned that al-Shabaab could be having a presence in Costa Rica following the screening.

Investigations show Farah made entry into Costa Rica on January 4, 2023, using a Swedish passport which was identified as Luqman Abdl Aziz. He stayed in the country for a month before leaving through an irregular border crossing to Nicaragua.

Al-Shabaab has been fighting to overthrow the fragile UN-backed federal government of Somalia for 15 years but efforts by the Somali National Army [SNA], US Africa Command, African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Transition Mission in Somalia [ATMIS] and local militia have seen the group lose territories in recent weeks.

Farah’s father is linked to facilitating an al-Shabaab terrorist attack in Sweden in 2011.
I can't seem to find anything about that, either in our archives or on the internet, so clearly I’m missing something.
al-Shabaab group has also been waging attacks in neighboring countries like Kenya, which is also among the Troops Contributing Countries, leading to the deaths of thousands of people across the region.

Hans Sequeira, DIS Director, explained that international regulations require Farah to be returned to the country where he entered legally, so he will be sent to Somalia. The arrest and deportation of Farah highlight the ongoing threat of terrorism and the need for international cooperation in combating the group.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has waged the second phase of operations against al-Shabaab, with the first face seeing the elimination of about 3,000 bad boys. Also, the government says at least 3,700 murderous Moslems were maimed, but there was no independent verification of this claim.

Three young men killed in Kirkuk village, mass grave found
2020-10-24
[Rudaw] Three young men were killed and set ablaze in the village of Toulk in northern Kirkuk province on Saturday evening.

Peshmerga fighter Aram Mustafa, his brother Harez and cousin Peshawa Abdulrahman, all in their 20s, were searching for cattle in the area when they were killed.

According to village residents, the three men were rubbed out in their vehicle and were then set on fire.

According to Luqman Sartki, commander of the Peshmerga’s 11th Brigade, bullet fragments were left in the vehicle but no other evidence was recovered from the scene.

Aram and Harez’s father say the three men were searching for missing cattle in the area.

"Three to four of our cattle were killed and eaten by wolves recently. Another cow was missing. They were searching for it...I was unaware they had gone to another site and had faced this tragedy," said Mustafa Mohammed.

The incident took place in a remote area located in a security vaccum empty of both Kurdish Peshmerga and Iraqi federal forces.

"The area has been inspected before but a good operation needs a large force of 2,000 to 3,000 corps because the area is sensitive and it is suitable for hideouts," Nariman Sallayi, Peshmerga Brigade 126 commander told Rudaw on Sunday.

Hours after abduction, two Kurdish brothers found dead in Khanaqin
2020-08-28
[Rudaw] Two kidnapped Kurdish brothers were found dead in Khanaqin, Diyala province on Thursday shortly after being kidnapped by button men, confirmed a local official, adding the fate of another person remains unknown.

"On Wednesday night at 9:40pm on the Dakai Nuri Mikail village, a number of unidentified gunnies, just 100 meters from an Iraqi army security checkpoint stopped and then set alight two trucks, killing one of the drivers, an Arab, right there and the fate of the other driver is unknown as of yet," Brig Gen. Shamal Abdulrahman, director of Asayesh (security) in the town of Koks, Khanaqin, told Rudaw.

Dakai Nuri Mikail is a Kurdish-inhabited village, situated southwest of Khanaqin city.

Abdulrahman added the trucks were on their way to take chicks to a poultry farm in the vicinity of the village.

"The incident happened close to the chicken farm. The owners of the farm, two brothers named Luqman Dawood and Saman Dawood rushed to the scene in order to extinguish the flames. At that point, they were ambushed by the murderous Moslems, who kidnapped them," he explained.

"The bodies of the two brothers were discovered today near the location where they were kidnapped."

Brig. Diyar Shawkat, head of Khanaqin police, attributes the attacks to ISIS murderous Moslems.

"The ISIS Death Eaters had established a fake checkpoint last night on the road," Shawkat said.

ISIS has not claimed the killings, but the group is active in the area disputed between Erbil and Baghdad.

Khanaqin, in Diyala province, was under administration of the Kurdistan Regional Government until the events of October 2017, when Baghdad sent federal forces to take over the disputed areas.

The deterioration of Khanaqin's security situation has previously been denounced by the residents, who have staged strikes demanding the return of the Kurdistan Region’s Peshmerga.

Many Kurdish families have left the city due to the gaps in security.

Hafiz Saeed, aides move court against terror financing charges
2019-07-14
[DAWN] Jamatud Dawa chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and his seven aides have approached the Lahore High Court challenging a case carrying charge of terror financing lodged by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) by ’wrongly’ showing them as members of the proscribed Lashkar-e-Taiba
...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. (LeT).

In a joint petition filed through senior lawyer A.K Dogar, the JuD leaders submitted that the facts narrated in the impugned FIR lodged on July 1, 2019 illegally described them as members of the LeT and levelled unlawful allegation of terror financing.

The counsel referred to a 2009 judgment by a full bench of the LHC against the detention of Hafiz Saeed...founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its false-mustache offshoot Jamaat-ud-Dawa. at that time and stated that the petitioners were not members of the LeT.

He stated that the LHC through another judgment issued in 2003 had held that Saeed had left the leadership of LeT on Dec 24, 2001 while the organization was banned on Jan 14, 2002.

The lawyer pleaded that the claim of the government that the petitioners were the members of the LeT stood disapproved in the light of the two judgments. Therefore, he asked the court to quash the impugned FIR lodged by the CTD for being unlawful and of no legal effect.

The other petitioners include Muhammad Ayub Sheikh, Zafar Iqbal, Syed Luqman Ali Shah, Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki, Abdul Salam, Abdul Ghaffar and Abdul Qudoos Shahid.

Kirkuk conniptions: Series of deadly explosions shake Kirkuk, turbans attack innocent peasants, burn fields
2019-05-31

Several deadly explosions shake Kirkuk
Video of an explosion and an aftermath at the link.
[Rudaw] A number of explosions hit Kirkuk city late on Thursday, killing three people and injuring at least 16 people.

Speaking on Rudaw TV, the head of Kirkuk Operations Saad Harbya said the situation is under control. He blamed the Islamic State (ISIS) for trying to "retaliate against the harsh attacks by Iraqi forces."

For nearly two months, Iraqi Security Forces have been conducting anti-ISIS clearing operations, primarily in southern Kirkuk.

Improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIED) detonated around 10 p.m. (local time).

Rudaw's correspondent in Kirkuk said three people have died and 18 were wounded, including a high-ranking police officer.

Iraqi Security Media Cell later confirmed the explosion in a statement that six IEDs exploded in Kirkuk and security forces “defused” two others.

“These attacks took place in the streets of Quds, [near] the governor’s office and Baghdad Road in Kirkuk province, injuring two people,” it said. The area is a popular commercial area where many malls and nightlife spots are located.

The media cell added in a separate statement that three people were initially killed and 16 were injured.

No group immediately claimed the attacks.

Kirkuk villagers clash with ISIS, 1 dead and 7 wounded

Kirkuk (IraqiNews) War Media Cell announced, on Thursday, that some villagers in Kirkuk have clashed with the Islamic State militants. The clashes have resulted in the killing of one persons and wounding of seven others.

The Cell said in a press statement that Eftkharat Village’s residents, in Daquq District, clashed with some IS militants. One of the villagers was killed, while seven others were injured due to the clashes, the statement added.

The statement further added that the clashes resulted also in burning agriculture crops.

ISIS blamed for Kirkuk crop field fire that killed 1, injured 9

One person died and nine others were injured on Wednesday night when a fire tore through a wheat field in southern Kirkuk, local officials confirmed. Islamic States (ISIS) militants are thought to be behind a recent spate of arson attacks targeting crops.

Areas affected by the fire included Ali Saray, Anana and Kobani villages of the Kakai region and Dara in Haftaghar area in Daquq, southern Kirkuk.

“When the fire ripped through the farmlands of Ali Saray village, I was nearby and saw some people from a distance torching the crops,” Luqman Khurshid, a local agricultural worker, told Rudaw

The fire broke out at around 10:30 p.m., he said.

“One person named Hardi Saman was killed and nine others wounded while trying to put out the fire by bullets from ISIS militants,” Rajab Kakai, head of the Mitra Organization for the Development of Yarsani Culture, told Rudaw English.

“We have no doubt it was done by ISIS, because last fall they had come up to the farmers when cultivating their land warning them that they had to pay them Zakat when they harvested their crops,” he said, referring to a form of Islamic tax.

“The scale of the fire was big. More than 200 dunams of Kakai lands were torched last night,” Kakai added.

In a statement, Iraqi Security Forces said Haftaghar residents had clashed with “Daesh gangs”.

“The residents of [Haftaghar] village of Daquq district in the Kirkuk province clashed with members of terrorist Daesh gangs, leading to the martyrdom of one citizen ... and the burning of agricultural crops,” the Iraqi Security Media Cell said Thursday morning, using the Arabic acronym for ISIS.

Arson attacks on agricultural land are a new tactic employed by ISIS remnants operating in the disputed territories.

Hundreds of dunams of cropland have been burned over the course of May in Diyala, Kirkuk, Saladin, and Nineveh provinces.

ISIS claimed responsibility for some of the attacks via its media outlets. Other incidents were potentially caused by land disputes, electrical faults, or by accident.

More cropland was burned earlier this month in Makhmour, a disputed area to the southwest of Erbil, after local farmers refused to pay the Islamic tax.

Disputed parts of Diyala, Nineveh, and Saladin provinces are claimed by both the Kurdistan Regional Government in Erbil and Iraq’s central government in Baghdad. Militants are exploiting the security gaps between federal and Peshmerga lines.

ISIS is not the only militarized body accused of arson. In fires that took place in Khanaqin, locals blamed the Shiite paramilitaries Hashd al-Shaabi (known in English as the Popular Mobilization Forces, or PMF). Locals there also claimed to have received calls demanding zakat.

2018-08-13
[DAWN] LARKANA: The Larkana antiterrorism court on Saturday sentenced one Sirajuddin aka Siraj Kalhoro to triple life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs250,000 on him after he was found guilty of abducting, sexually assaulting and killing a five-year-old girl in Naudero last year.

Yemeni forces fire drone, hit Aramco refinery in Saudi capital
2018-07-19
[PRESSTV] Yemeni army, backed by fighters from allied Popular Committees, has attacked a refinery of the Saudi oil company Aramco in the capital Riyadh using a new drone unveiled on Wednesday, with the kingdom confirming a fire at the plant.

"Our drone air forces have targeted the refinery of Aramco company in Riyadh," read a Twitter posting on the account of Yemen’s al-Masirah television channel.

"The operation by the drone air force is a strong start in a new stage of deterring the aggression," the channel quoted Yemen's army front man Brigadier General Sharaf Luqman as saying in a tweet.

According to al-Masirah, the attack was the first to be conducted using a new long-range drone.

Aramco confirmed a fire at its refinery in Riyadh, saying fire control teams and the Saudi civil defense had contained a limited blaze that erupted in the early evening in its refinery in the capital.

Abu Dhabi within range of Yemeni missiles: Houthi spokesman
2018-06-03
[PRESSTV] Yemen's army front man has warned the UAE that its capital, Abu Dhabi, is "no longer safe" from missiles fired in retaliation for the Saudi-led military campaign on the impoverished state.

"From now on Abu Dhabi is no longer safe, it will be within our ballistic missiles' range," Brigadier General Sharaf Ghaleb Luqman said in a statement carried by Yemen's official Saba news agency on Friday.

Luqman also urged investors in Abu Dhabi to take his warning seriously.

The UAE is a key member of a Saudi-led invasion that began in March 2015 in support of Yemen’s former Riyadh-friendly government and against the Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
Ansarullah movement.

The offensive has killed and injured over 600,000 civilians, according to the Yemeni Ministry of Human Rights.

Elsewhere in his statement, the front man said the Yemeni army would confront the military escalation by the UAE forces in the country's western coast in Hudaydah.

"Yemen's army supported by popular committees has recaptured most of the areas in the western coast," he said. "Islands and areas, where the occupation forces of the Saudi-UAE-led coalition are stationing, will be a cemetery."

The remarks came amid a recent military build-up by the UAE-backed forces in Yemen's western port city of Hudaydah and the Socotra Island.

Luqman further rejected reports of advances by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen's northern Sa'ada Province as false.
