The JUI-F leader, who believed that the 2024 general elections were more rigged than that of 2018, said "these governments are not the true representatives" of the people.

"We have brought the case of people's self-respect," he added.

It is pertinent to mention here that the JUI-F had also been calling the former PTI-led government "fake" before the two erstwhile political foes found an "ideological coordination" against the incumbent PML-N-led coalition government.

According to the publication, the Maulana Fazl-led delegation is likely to conclude the visit and return to Pakistain today (Friday).

it reported that there were rumours in Afghanistan that Akhunzada refused to meet the whole delegation and it was only Fazl who was taken to Kandahar, where the Taliban supremo is based, for the meeting.

"He told us that he had held a detailed and fruitful meeting with Sheikh Haibatullah Akhunzada and discussed multiple issues but Maulana sahib avoided sharing details of the discussion with the Taliban supreme leader," a member of the delegation, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told The News.

He also confirmed that none of the delegation members accompanied the JUI-F chief to the meeting.

"Maulana sahib (Fazlur Rahman) was taken alone to Kandahar for the meeting. Well, all of us had a great desire for this important meeting with Sheikh Haibatullah, but we had to obey what our elders wanted us to do," said another member of the delegation. He added they realised from Fazl’s reaction that the meeting was fruitful.

"Maulana sahib is otherwise quite an easy person and never hides things. But since this is a very sensitive subject, therefore, he didn’t share anything with members of his delegation," a close aide of the JUI-F chief told The News.

Senior members of the Afghan Taliban have confirmed Fazl’s meeting with Akhunzada but Taliban front man Zabihullah Mujahid neither confirmed nor denied their meeting.

When asked if the delegation held talks with the Pak Taliban, the sources said that they held individual meetings with some of them but so far they are yet to hold any official meeting.

"Since some members of the Afghan and Pak Taliban have studied in madaris in Pakistain where some members of the delegation were their teachers, therefore, they came to visit their teachers whom they met after a long time. However,

According to initial reports, the blast took place near a vehicle which injured Hamdullah and several others.

Police rushed to the site of the incident and cordoned off the area.

Mustang Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razzaq Sasoli said several people were maimed in the Mustang blast and added that the three injured including the JUI-F leader had been shifted to a hospital in Quetta.

The official said the JUI-F leader was provided initial medical aid in Mastung before being shifted to the lovely provincial capital for further treatment.

He said the JUI-F leader’s condition is out of danger.

Speaking to Geo News, JUI-F spokesperson Aslam Ghauri said Hamdullah sustained injuries but his condition is not critical.

"He hasn't been critically injured. His button men and two of Hamdullah's party colleagues have also been injured but their condition is stable," he added.

Ghauri said that Hamdullah was travelling from Quetta to Kalat when he came under attack.

He also expressed ignorance about the nature of the blast.

According to a health department spokesperson, the 11 injured were shifted to Shaheed Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Memorial Hospital in Mastung.

The spokesperson added that one of the persons is at death's door.

The Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Mustang said 11 people including Hamdullah injured in the blast.

The nature of the Mustang explosion is being ascertained, the senior police official added.

Officials believe the attack was targeting members of the political group, with its regional leader, Maulana Ziaullah, among those who died in the blast, according to the News Agency that Dare Not be Named.

Officials said the event was held close to a market square in the town, and was guarded by volunteer party members holding batons.

Despite the security, police chief Akhtar Hayat Gandapur told news hounds a jacket wallah likely sneaked into the venue and set off the earth-shattering kaboom just as high ranking leaders for the political party arrived.

First responders rushed to the scene, with local broadcasts showing rescue workers carrying the injured away as other residents flee in panic.

On X (Twitter) there are claims that the explosion was by ISIS to remind both the Taliban and Pakistan that ISIS is the better choice.

At least 44 people were killed while over 100 were wounded in a suicide blast at a Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) workers’ convention in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Bajaur district on Sunday.

The explosion occurred when more than 400 JUI-F members and supporters gathered under a tent in the town of Khar, near the border with Afghanistan.

KP Health Minister Riaz Anwar told AFP that 44 people had been confirmed killed and over 100 wounded.

Bajaur District Emergency Officer Saad Khan told Dawn.com that Maulana Ziaullah Jan, JUI-F emir in Khar tehsil, was also killed in the blast.

Speaking to the media later at night, KP Inspector General of Police Akhtar Hayat Khan said 10 kilograms of explosives were used in the blast.

He said ball bearings and other explosive materials had been collected from the site.

No one has claimed responsibility for the blast so far.

The JUI-F leader said that the former spymaster had called him for a meeting but he refused. Later, he himself met him, Fazl said without giving details about the venue and date.

"I want to see you a member of the Senate and then chairman [of the upper house of parliament]," the PDM head said quoting the former top spy.

In return, the former ISI chief had asked him that he has to bring change in the system which he refused, Fazl claimed.

Following his refusal, the opposition was divided in the country, Fazl accused the establishment.

Responding to a question, the PDM chief said that all the political parties agreed that the 2018 elections were rigged, adding that the then-opposition should not have taken oath when they termed the assembly as "fake".

The JUI-F was of the view that the opposition should have taken to the streets and forced the government to resign instead of joining the assemblies, he added.

Security Council and other international organizations to ask India why it has imposed war ‐ that can prove harmful for the entire region ‐ on Pakistain.

The maulana said at a presser at Larkana Press Club here on Wednesday that Indian aggression was a war crime as the country violated the Line of Control on the pretext of unfounded claims of Pakistain’s involvement in Pulwama incident. India should have provided proof of the incident instead of imposing war, which was an irresponsible act, he said.

He said that Indian war hysteria was inexplicable at best as one could not understand what the Modi government could achieve by stoking war in the region. "Though we are confronting domestic, political and economic problems and our foreign policy is heading for failure we have complete confidence in Pakistain army and it is our first priority," he said.

As a mark of solidarity with Pakistain army his party would stage protests across the country on Friday and appealed to all religious and political parties to participate in peaceful demonstrations in large numbers, he said.

He urged all political and religious parties to participate in processions, protests and demonstrations and assured Pakistain army that the nation stood by it.

The maulana said in answer to a question about invitation to Indian external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj to the meeting of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) that OIC was an ineffective forum which carried no weight.

He said that India did not qualify to be an Islamic country while Pakistain was a large Moslem nation. It was right decision to boycott the OIC’s emergency meeting, he said, adding that war was fire that burned everything to ashes.

He said that Kashmire was a disputed issue and Pakistain had always welcomed international arbitration for settling it but India resisted such attempts. "Our stand about weaker role of international organizations in helping settle Kashmire dispute is still unchanged," he said.

Fazl calls for early joint session of parliament over LoC violation

Addressing a congregation at a seminary, Jamia Islamia Isha’atul Koran-o-Hadith, he said an in-camera session of parliament should discuss the issue which was vital for national security. Describing the matter of intrusion of the enemy into Pakistain’s boundaries as very serious, he observed that India had under the cover of night violated the LoC.

He said the entire nation stood with the country’s defence forces in protecting the frontiers; all issues should be placed before the joint session of parliament. He appealed to the nation to demonstrate strong unity at this critical moment and prayed for the armed forces.

The maulana, who also heads Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), also talked about the rallies the JUI-F and MMA was successfully holding under the title of ’million march’ throughout the country and referred to a recent rally held one in Badin. According to him, the movement launched would continue to help redress public problems. "We condemn in strongest terms the violation of the Line of Control by India," he said and pledged to protect every inch of the country.
