Front) executed, on Sunday, eight former members in an infamous prison under its control in Idlib, northwestern Syria.

The extrajudicial execution was carried out at Prison 107, managed by the HTS’ General Security Apparatus, without clarifying the reasons for their arrest and execution.

A source in the prison told North Press that Abu Mohammad al-Julani, HTS’ leader, suddenly ordered executing the eight persons without a verdict from the court.

Abu Muhammad al-Azari, Abu Abdullah al-Russi, Abu Layth al-Azari, Sayf al-Din al-Filastini, Abu Zayd al-Masri, with three young men from the eastern countryside of Hama, were executed. The detainees’ relatives were notified after midnight, he added.

The source noted that the firing squad conducted the execution. The bodies of the foreigners will be buried, whereas the bodies of the Syrians will be handed over to their relatives after 72 hours of the execution.

The detainees were previously in the General Security Apparatus of the HTS since 2017.

In a previous report, a military source of HTS’ Red Bands, one of the most brutal faction in its ranks, told North Press that there are between 900 and 1,200 imported muscle within the HTS ranks from Chechnya, Tajikistan, and East Turkestan [China], in addition to Moroccans, Algerians, Libyans and several from Iraq and Egypt.

[AfghanDigest] LAST 24 HOURS
  • FINANCE MINISTER STEPS DOWN – Hedayatullah Badri, the Minister of Finance for the Taliban has resigned from his position. Sources told AMU TV that the cause of his departure was related to differences with the Supreme Leader. If this report is true, he is believed to be the highest-ranking Taliban official to resign since they took power.

  • RAID IN MAZAR-I-SHARIF KILLS 8 – Taliban forces reportedly raided a house in Police District 7 of Mazar-i-Sharif on the night of 7 March and killed 8 men they said were ‘rebels’ and ‘kidnappers’. There was concern that photos from the scene that were distributed by the Taliban had been staged and the weapons that were placed in the hands of the dead looked unnatural and were extremely clean. There has been speculation that the Taliban may have staged a similar incident in a security clearing operation in Herat.

  • ISIS-K CLAIMS ATTACK THAT KILLED THE CHIEF OF THE WATER DEPARTMENT IN HERAT – Nader Kakar and 2 friends were killed in a targeted attack in Herat City yesterday by an unidentified gunman. 3 others were injured in the attack and it is not known if the gunman was apprehended. Kakar was serving as the head of the water department in Herat and had previously led the same department in Kandahar. ISIS-K claimed credit for the attack on its website, The Khorasan Diary. However, there has been some speculation the murders were carried out by another group.

  • THE UNITED NATIONS WARNED THAT A DROP IN AID IS COMING DUE TO GENDER BANS – The UN envoy in Afghanistan warned the Taliban that aid was likely to be cut as a result of the draconian policies in place for women. A source in Kandahar said the Supreme Leader dismissed the threat as ‘rhetoric’.

  • PESHAWAR’S COUNTER-TERRORISM DEPARTMENT ISSUES ALERT OF IMMINENT TTP ATTACK – The Department issued the alert to all police and military forces and also posted copies of it on their social media site. The Department said it expects an action similar to the January Police Mosque bombing. The warning states that a threat of a ‘high-intensity’ attack was expected within the coming days and that the following would be likely targets:

    • Police gatherings

    • Police stations

    • Police establishments

    • Police lines

    • Traffic headquarters

  • While the threat is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, it could easily focus somewhere else in the country. At-risk Afghans are advised to avoid Police facilities or checkpoints until the threat has passed.

How map of factional influence in Syria's Afrin is drawn?
2022-12-08
[NPASYRIA] In Afrin region, northwest Syria, Ottoman Turkish-backed armed opposition factions belong to two main legions of the Syrian National Army (SNA); the First Legion, the Second Legion following the withdrawal of the Third Legion, amid presence of the security apparatus of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
(HTS — formerly al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
Front).

On October 13, the HTS took control over Afrin following festivities with the Third Legion that was forced to retreat towards the city of Azaz and its countryside.

Since then, Afrin has been under the control of several factions in the security and military arenas, the most notable faction is the security apparatus of the HTS that has been controlling every aspects of the security in the city of Afrin and its countryside. The body is led by Abu Abdullah al-Iraqi and Abu Muhammad al-Abdeli.

Ahrar al-Sham
...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014...
has military points and offices in the city of Afrin and the villages of Basouta, Jindires and Bulbul with no more than 400 personnel led by Abu Ubayda al-Sheikh.

Afrin has been under the control of The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
and the SNA factions since 2018 following the so-called Olive Branch operation against the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) under the pretext of preserving Ottoman Turkish "national security".

The operation caused the displacement of about 300.000 of the original inhabitants of the Kurds of Afrin who have been taking shelter in 40 villages and five camps in Shahba region since then.

Sham Legion, led by Munzur Sarar al-Ikhwenij, is a main faction in the area and mostly supported by the HTS in Deir Balout, Jindires, Mabata, Basouta, Rajo and Kafr Janneh. The faction has military offices, olive refineries, drugs manufacture and coal factories in addition to a security apparatus.

Sultan Murad Division which is led by Fahim Issa and commanded by Nasser al-Nahar and Abu Walid al-Azi, is a main faction within the Third Legion that operates in Rajo, Kafr Janneh, Mabata, Afrin, Katmeh and Sharran.

The group has a security apparatus that is linked directly to the Ottoman Turkish Intelligence Services (MIT) being the most pet faction to receive support from the Ottoman Turkish side. It has about 800 security and military personnel operating in Rajo and Basouta.

Sultan Suleiman Shah Division (al-Amshat) led by Muhammad al-Jassem al-Turkmani, who owns the biggest drug manufacture in the area of Sheikh Hadid in the countryside of Afrin, the main bastion of al-Amshat.

In addition, it has offices in Mabata, Afrin city, Sharran, Midan Ikbes, Maydanki and Bulbul. However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
there are no more than 300 fighters. It belongs to the Second Legion which is affiliated with the HTS.

The main secret supportive faction of the HTS in providing both ammunition and weapon in coordination with Sham Legion is al-Hamza Division, known otherwise as Saif Abu Bakr Division which has nearly 400 turbans in the whole of Afrin.

The division operates in 16 military posts in Raco and its countryside in addition to a security apparatus, ten security and military posts in Bulbul, and a drug manufacture in the village of Burj Abdullah, southwest of Afrin city which is also home to offices of al-Hamza Division. In Jinderis there are two points of the division besides Marata, Katmeh and Mashaleh.

Although they are affiliated with the Third Legion, Faylaq al-Majd (Glory Corps) and Division 51 observed neutrality in the recent struggle against HTS, and preserved their presence in the area of Raco in the northern camp added to military posts on several sections on the border with Turkey besides others in Katmeh and Sharran.

While Faylaq al-Rahman, Liwa al-Montaser, 9th Armoured Division, Suqour al-Sham Brigades and Liwa al-Fajr are all affiliated with the Second Legion which is subject to Fahim Issa, leader of the legion and that of Sultan Murad Division.

It is deployed in areas in Kafr Safra, Basouta, Ain Dara, Kerzayhel, Marata,, Mabata, Maydanki, and Sharran in both security and military offices.

However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
the most influential force in the region is HTS’ security apparatus. Its turbans wear the uniform of Ahrar al-Sham or of al-Amshat.

Civilian and military polices receive orders from the MIT directly to which it is affiliated solely and upon its instructions it behaves.

Front) and Syrian National Army (SNA) where they have been leading security and high-profile statuses as Ottoman Turkish intelligence services (MIT) merely preserve silence.

An HTS security source told North Press there was a bottomless list of ISIS emirs and leaders serving within the opposition factions, saying, "I will mention some of these who are deeply connected to the Ottoman Turkish intelligence services."

Abu al-Mughira al-Shami, his real name is Mahmoud Taha from the town of Qara, some 100 km north of Damascus, Syria’s capital. He is a prominent security figure running jails 106 in the northern section including Dana, Sarmada, and up to Atmeh camps in Idlib Governorate. Al-Shami had a record of violations against locals in the city of al-Bab when ISIS was controlling the city. He was occupying a post in the security apparatus of the group under Abu Hamed al-Jazrawi and Abu Sufyan al-Tunisi. Afterwards, he went to Manbij, Raqqa and then Deir ez-Zor under blows received by the Global Coalition and the SDF. He was able to reach al-Ra’I town and Idlib. By mediations and approaches to the HTS’ emirs in 2018 he was able to join the security apparatus of the HTS and has become a prominent figure since then.

Abu Udayy al-Jazrawi whose real name is Azam al-Dowsari. He was in charge of the kidnapped Yezidi girls and women in the city of Abu Kamal and Iraqi al-Qaim within the so-called Vilayet al-Furat at the time. He has a record of tens of reported violations against Yezidis. Right now, he is working with Hayat Zakat (an alms body) of the Salvation Government, the civil wing of the HTS. In 2017, he reached Idlib in cooperation with Ahrar al-Sharqiya faction, namely Abu al-Walid Shaqra, in return for $12.000. He has a merchant’s card to go freely to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
along with Abu Adel Saksouk, owner of Saksouk Company for Exchange and Money Transfer.

A most sharia law jurist in HTS right now is Hish al-Homsi who was under ISIS’ Abu Ubaida al-Rawi. His real name is Omar al-Rawi a jurist in Shaddadi sector in the so-called "Wilayat al-Baraka" (Hasakah Governorate). He is a graduate of Abu Sufyan al-Bahreni, a most prominent jurist in Raqqa along with Abu Fatima al-Qahtani and Othman al-Najeh al-Jazrawi. They were responsible for executions, beatings, and disappearances under baseless grounds.

Right now, he is running courses in the military camps of the HTS for gunnies affiliated with al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room. He is also teaching them suicides and infiltrations in Idlib and Aleppo fronts. He reached Idlib in 2019 escaping from Raqqa, which was besieged by the SDF in 2017, to Syrian government-held area in Homs eastern countryside, then to Hama, and from Hama to Idlib in cooperation with officers in the government forces who were lured by large sums of money. He joined HTS with support given by Mazhar al-Weysi, a prominent jurist in the Shura Council.

The source told North Press there was also Manhal al-Tirkawi known as Abu Riyadh al-Tirkawi. He leads the so-called Khaled Ibn al-Walid Battalions in Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) in the northern countryside of Hasakah. He was a "most prominent arms dealer and a smuggler. He had a high position within the sleeper cells of ISIS in Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor. He used to secure every kind of weapons and orchestrated movement of the group’s leader between Syria and Turkey."

Right now, "he is enjoying a high position with SNA and had strong relations with Ottoman Turkish intelligence," the source noted. Despite his work in armament and recruitment between 2014 and 2018 in both Syria and Iraq in cooperation with Abu Ja’far al-Iraqi and Abu Hafs al-Shami, "He still lives on the lam as a military leader in Sere Kaniye and owns farms and real estates in Afrin of ownerships seized by SNA."

Both Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and Abu Abdullah al-Qurashi were killed by the Global Coalition in areas under the Syrian opposition in Idlib close to the border with Turkey.

Media outlets published the demands of Abdullah Bin Aboud al-Sharif, the son of the head of Islah branch in Ma’rib, to speed up the return of al-Arada, who is detained in Soddy Arabia

The presence of a Sultan inside Ma’rib is necessary and more important than others; let the Council goes to hell. Ma’rib is first and foremost Abu Abdullah, Abdullah Bin Aboud al-Sharif wrote on his twitter account, addressing Sultan al-Arada.

Al-Arada is one of the eight council members detained by the coalition since they were summoned weeks ago.

Ma’rib is witnessing military developments, indicating Islah’s fears of repercussions on its influence in the oil province.

Nakhalah asserted that the accumulation of Paleostinian experience in this field has reached the point of innovation, as "our fighters in Gaza and the manufacturing units make progress in the arms industry every day."

During his visit to the Iranian capital, on Friday, in a ceremony commemorating the first anniversary of the liquidation of Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandis, Nakhalah reiterated his assertion that "Qassem Soleimani sent us missiles that struck the capital of the Zionist entity, and these missiles are still doing their work" and that this Iranian leader was present. He explained, "Qassem Soleimani was assassinated because he was an obstacle to the United States and Israel in their efforts to reform the region."

Commenting on the recent Paleostinian military maneuvers in Gaza, Nakhalah told al-Mayadeen TV that it was "conducted with live weapons" from beginning to end, and that it was a message to Tel Aviv, despite its attempt to minimize it to reassure the Israelis, explaining that "long-range missiles have been tested. Its range exceeded approximately 100 km in the maneuver."

Libyan Army kills emir of ISIS in southern Libya
2020-09-18
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Libyan National Army (LNA) front man, Major General Ahmed al-Mismari, announced the killing of the emir of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS) terrorist organization in Libya, Abu Abdullah, in a specific operation west of Sabha
...After the Libyan Civil War, Sabha grew in importance as a slave auctioning town. However, an investigation by the National Commission for Human Rights in Libya (NCHRL) revealed that while there was illegal slavery, reports were exaggerated, as slave auctions were rare and not made public. This was a great comfort to everyone but the slaves peddled in secret. The city was later seized by forces loyal to the Libyan National Army (LNA) and its leader Khalifa Haftar in January 2019, probably for its collection of MiG-25 aircraft....
.

According to Mismari, the LNA received information about an Islamic State terrorist cell in the neighborhood Kafi of Sabha, pointing out that the "116th Infantry Battalion clashed with the group in a battle that lasted seven hours straight."

He said, "The battle ended with the elimination of nine gunnies and the arrest of two women, one from Benghazi named Sana Abdul-Hadi Salem, born in 1980, the wife of the ISIS terrorist Othman al-Abbar, who was killed in the operation, and the other woman is the wife of the emir of ISIS in Libya, and she is an Egyptian named Najla Mahmoud Afifi Hussein."

The Libyan National Army front man pointed out that several other people had been arrested, including a Libyan, three Saudis, an Egyptian, a Sudanese, a Nigerian, and another from the Ivory Coast.

Previously, the Libyan National Army killed two Islamic State gunnies in southern Libya, including an Australian national, after a brief clash with the group.

Former Syrian opposition leader: Groups that Turkey depends on are fake
2020-03-18
[NPASYRIA] Ottoman Turkish forces in Idlib were surprised that a number of the members of the gangs that it depended on in their recent battle with Syrian government forces are "fake", according to what a former leader of the armed opposition said on Tuesday.

In an interview with North-Press, Muhammad Abu Abdullah, former leader in the Syrian opposition, said that Ottoman Turkish-backed gangs are groups use "fake" numbers.

Abu Abdullah said that The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
was surprised by those groups on which it relied, such as the National Front for Liberation, as it found that the numbers of their members are on papers only, and the remaining groups utilized only a small percentage of their strength in the battle launched by Turkey on the first of this month, in anticipation of being eliminated by other groups, including ones backed by Turkey.

On the first of this month, Ottoman Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar announced a military operation against Syrian government forces in Idlib after the latter attacked the Ottoman Turkish forces and the affiliated gangs in Idlib on February 27.

On March 5, an agreement between the Russian and Ottoman Turkish presidents was reached in Moscow, which stipulated a ceasefire in Idlib and the start of Russian-Ottoman Turkish patrols on the M4 highway.

Regarding the protests on M4 highways, Abu Abdullah said that "they are run by the groups, and that they must demand people to go back to their homes and the [Syrian] regime forces must withdraw to Sochi borders."

Abu Abdullah pointed out that one of Sochi articles, which includes the dissolution of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
(HTS), was the main instigator for the protests that took place in Arihah.

He said that opening the highway and conducting the patrols means the implementation of Sochi Agreement points on the ground, the most prominent of which is the dissolution of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, "which the latter does not want," according to Abu Abdullah.

Observers see that the protests that took place in Arihah on the M4 highway to prevent Russian-Ottoman Turkish patrols determined by the agreement, was a reason for Russia to resume the military operations in Idlib.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the first joint patrol with Turkey was conducted on a side of M4 highway in Idlib.

"Additional time has been given to the Ottoman Turkish side to take special procedures to neutralize "terrorist" formations and to ensure the security of joint patrols on the M4 highway," Russian Ministry of Defense said.

The statement noted that, "In order to carry out their provocations, the snuffies attempted to use civilians as human shields, including women and kiddies."

According to the agreement, the schedule of Russian-Ottoman Turkish patrols on M4 highway will continue for 15 days, as the first patrol took place on March 15.

According to Abu Abdullah, "if Syrian government forces and Iranian groups try to violate the ceasefire agreement, this will be in our favor, because they will be violating the orders of the Russians, and Turkey will put all its might into Idlib."

Dozens of residents of Idlib and armed opposition groups staged a protest on M4 highway, where they blocked the road by setting fire to tires in order to prevent the Russian-Ottoman Turkish joint patrol.

Alleged Italian ISIS member handed to Rome
2019-06-30
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Kurdish authorities in northeastern Syria have handed to Italia one of its citizens accused of belonging to ISIS, a front man said on Saturday.

"Italian jihadist Samir Bougana (aka Abu Abdullah) who had been captured fleeing ISIS and had been imprisoned since then, was handed over to Italian government," said Mustafa Bali, a front man for the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

He said the transfer had been made on Rome’s request.

He did not specify when it took place or whether or not the suspected bad boy had already left the country.

Bougana - also known as Abu Hureyre al-Muhajir or Abu Abdullah al-Muhajir - was first captured by Kurdish fighters in Syria in August 2018 as he tried to flee into The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...Qatar's colony in Asia Minor...
He had allegedly been involved in weapons shipments to ISIS.

His transfer is part of a wider effort by the Kurdish administration to rid itself of the dregs of the ISIS proto-state.

Following the collapse of the group’s "caliphate" in March, alleged ISIS fighters from nearly 50 countries have been detained in Syria and Iraq.

Over 11,000 of their family members are being held in Syria’s al-Hol camp alone.

But repatriation is a sensitive issue for Western nations such as La Belle France and Britannia, which have experienced attacks by homegrown bandidos turbans and have little interest in seeing more return.

There are also worries that it could prove difficult to successfully prosecute fighters in Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
an courts for crimes committed in Iraq or Syria.
