OC Pradeep’s ‘torture cell’ at Teknaf police station
2020-08-10
[Dhaka Tribune] It was December 3, 2019. Abdul Jalil, a CNG auto rickshaw driver, was picked up by some men in white clothes from Cox's Bazar’s Adalat Para. On the same day, Saddam Hussein, 20, son of the late Sultan Ahmed of Maulvi Bazar village in Hnila Union, also went missing.

Jalil’s whole family went crazy looking for him. News of his going missing was published in local newspapers but proved to be futile, reports Bangla Tribune. Chhenuara Begum, Jalil’s wife, inquired at the offices of various law enforcement agencies but there was no sign of her missing husband anywhere.

Two months later, in February this year, a local man who was suddenly released from the cop shoppe confirmed Chhenuara that her husband was with the OC’s team, or to be specific, OC Pradeep Kumar Das’s team.

[ToloNews] Abdul Jalil Sadiq, head of Mine Action Coordination, in the west of Afghanistan, said that more than 110 civilians have been killed and at least 130 others have been maimed over the past year due to mines and other kabooms originating from the Soviet invasion-era.

Sadiq said that most of the victims are children.

"In 2019 year, 241 persons were martyred and maimed due to the earth-shattering kaboom of kabooms. Five were martyred in Badghis and nine were maimed. In Farah 42 were martyred and 54 were maimed. In Ghor 22 were martyred and 16 were maimed. In Herat
...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns...
42 were martyred and 49 others were maimed," said Sadiq.

Sadiq said they have neutralized 80% of threatened areas but 20% still has mines and other kaboom.
Sadiq said they have neutralized 80% of threatened areas but 20% still has mines and other kaboom.

"252 square kilometers have been cleared of kabooms. 42 square kilometers still have mines and other kaboom," said Jalil.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shouting match, the spittle had reached unprecedented levels...
Abdul Qadir, a military analyst, said that efforts by the government and mine-clearing institutions are not enough.

"1700 square kilometers have mines and other kabooms--it shows that the activity of the government and other organizations is not enough," said Abdul Qadir.

Ghulam Daud Hashimi, deputy governor of Herat province, said that security institutions and mine clearing organizations cleared the entire province of mines.

"Based on the reports given to us, all areas under threat were investigated and cleared of mines," said Hashimi.

2 dead, 4 injured as remote AJK valley hit by 'indiscriminate' Indian shelling
2019-08-28
[DAWN] Considered previously to be 'comparatively’ safe, the remote Gurez sub-valley in the upper belt of the Neelum district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
(AJK) was heavily shelled by Indian troops from across the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday, leaving two civilians dead and four others maimed, local officials said.

Gurez lies beyond Kel ‐ located some 156 kilometres northeast of Muzaffarabad ‐ and is spread over 44 kilometres till Taobutt, the last village of the Neelum district.

Unlike the lower belt of the Neelum district, where the Neelum River serves as the boundary between Azad Kashmir and occupied Kashmir, the Gurez sub-valley is situated on both sides of the river and has therefore been less vulnerable to cross LoC firing.

However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
on Tuesday, this area was hit "indiscriminately" by Indian troops with mortar guns, according to Akhtar Ayub, a disaster management officer based in Athmuqam. Athmuqam is the district headquarters of Neelum valley, located some 84 kilometres northeast of Muzaffarabad.

In Halmat village, Abdul Jalil Shah, 40, son of Samad Shah, was killed after being hit by splinters from an exploding shell, Ayub said.

Three-year-old Nosheen, daughter of Muhammad Ramzan, became an indirect victim, losing her life from psychological shock as "the thunder of shells filled her with panic", he added.

The injured persons, who were admitted to a military-run health facility in Halmat, were identified as Ashfaq, son of Ghulam Muhammad Lone; Ghulam Rasool, son of Ghulam Muhammad Mir; Baggi Begum, wife of Rehman Lone; and Hajira Bibi.

Egyptian officials confirm arrest of terrorist Hisham El-Ashmawi in Libya
2018-10-09
[AlAhram] An Egyptian military source has confirmed to Ahram Online that Egyptian Special forces officer-turned-terrorist Hisham El-Ashmawi, one of Egypt's most wanted runaways, has been captured in Libya's eastern city of Derna.

Earlier on Monday, Ahmed Mismari, front man of the Libyan National Army (LNA), which controls eastern Libya, said that El-Ashmawi was apprehended in Derna, where eastern Libyan forces are fighting terrorist groups. A picture of El-Ashmawi with blood on his face has been published by the LNA.

It is not clear when El-Ashmawi, who has been sentenced to death in Egypt, will be handed over to the Egyptian authorities, but "an official statement will be released concerning the arrest later today," the source said.

El-Ashmawi was born in 1978, and graduated in 2000 from the military academy.

El-Ashmawi, also known as Abu Omar El-Mohager (the immigrant), is considered among the most dangerous gunnies linked to many attacks in Egypt.

In July 2015, El-Ashmawi announced the establishment of the Mourabitoun organization in Libya,
...also spelt al-Morabetoun, for some reason...
which is loyal to the al-Qaeda terrorist organization.

In Derna, he broke away from Ansar Beit al-Maqdis after the group swore allegiance to ISIS, and formed the al-Qaeda affiliated al-Mourabitoun.
El-Ashmawi is believed to have been involved in an liquidation attempt on former Egyptian Interior Minister Mohammed Ibrahim and the murder of top prosecutor Hisham Barakat, as well as plotting an attack on Egyptian border guards in February 2015, which resulted in the death of 29 Armed Forces personnel.

He is also believed to be behind a deadly attack on Christian pilgrims in Upper Egypt's Minya governorate in May 2017, which killed 29 people.

In January 2015, his group was suspected of staging a multi-pronged attack on the headquarters of the Army Battalion 101 Headquarters in El-Arish in North Sinai, which killed 30 soldiers and officers.

An Egyptian military court sentenced him in absentia, along with 13 other terrorists, to death over the New Valley massacre in Farafra on 19 July 2014, where 22 border guards were killed.

In 2007, a military court transferred El-Ashmawi to an administrative post before his dismissal from the army in 2011. He later joined the Sinai-based Ansar Beit al-Maqdis terrorist group.

El-Ashmawi received training on the manufacture of kabooms and combat operations. In April 2016 he traveled to Syria to join Islamist holy warriors fighting aganist Alasad's regime, yet a few months later he returned to Egypt where he participated in a sit-in supporting the outlawed Moslem Brüderbund group in Cairo's Rabaa El-Adaweya.

After the sit-in, El-Ashmawi escaped to Libya. In Derna, he broke away from Ansar Beit al-Maqdis after the group swore allegiance to ISIS, and formed the al-Qaeda affiliated al-Mourabitoun.

El-Ashmawi fled Sirte to Derna under pressure from the Libya National Army operations.

El-Ashmawi planned to regroup in the Western Desert of Egypt but failed due to Egyptian security operations.

El-Ashmawi also collaborated with the Moslem Brüderbund in Libya, led by Ahmed Abdul Jalil al-Hasnawi, who leads the al-Qaeda branch in southern Libya, as well as Ismail al-Salabi and Abdul Hakim Belhaj.

Before his capture on Monday, El-Ashmawi was spotted between the Maghara and al-Qalaa areas in Derna. The Libyan National Army discovered a tunnel network extending under the city which the LNA believes was being used by El-Ashmawi and other members of his group to move between cities.

Citizenship for Afghans, Bengalis opposed
2018-09-22
[DAWN] Businessmen and traders on Thursday rejected the prime minister’s announcement for the grant of Pak citizenship to Afghan nationals living in the country for decades and warned that if the government made such a move, they would stop paying taxes and utility bills.

In separate statements, All Pakistain Commercial Exporters Association chairman Abdul Jalil, Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire.
Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries senior vice president Haji Mamoor Khan and Markaz Tanzeem-e-Tajiran Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa president Malik Mehr Ilahi urged the premier to withdraw announcement on citizenship for Afghans, Bengalis saying it has caused serious unrest among businessmen and traders.

Mr Jalil said the country had around four million Afghans and most of them lived in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, where they completely controlled different businesses.

"These Afghan nationals are not paying any kind of tax and are in the habit of fleeing to own country whenever the Federal Board of Revenue or other tax collecting agency cracks down on tax evaders," he said.

He said Paks regularly paid taxes but didn’t get incentives.

Mr Mamoor said the premier had issued the citizenship statement without knowing ground realities.

"We (businessmen and traders) have been left with no option but to stop paying utility bills and taxes as the foreigners doing different businesses don’t pay taxes," he warned.

3 die in fighting in Sabratha in Libya
2017-09-18
Tunis, 17 September 2017:

At least three men have been killed and several injured, some severely, in further fighting today in Sabratha between an Islamist militia and a local anti-people smuggling force.

The shooting in the town centre which broke out early this morning, is understood to have involved members of Ahmed Dabbashi’s Al-Amu militia. Dabbashi is a member of a prominent local family with a record of Islamist support. On the other side was the 48th Brigade of the town’s “Operations Room Fighting IS” under its commander Omar Abdul Jalil. The brigade was formed to crack down on local people-smuggling gangs.

Local elders have spent the day seeking to broker a ceasefire. The cause of the conflict is unclear. However, there has been speculation that it may have been triggered by a dispute over funds that Italy is paying to stop the flow of illegal migrants by having them intercepted and held in Libyan detention centres. A week ago Italian ambassador Giuseppe Perrone visited the town to congratulate the mayor Hassen Dhawadi on his clamp-down on the people-traffickers.

Another source has said that ranged against the Al-Amu militia have been pro-Libyan National Army (LNA) fighters. In July force of some 500 LNA supporters from the Watiya airbase and surrounding towns came into Sabratha and forced the Islamists out of the town.

Houthi militias forcibly recruiting children in Yemen’s Al Mahwit
2017-09-13
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
militias embarked, this Monday, on a forced recruitment campaign targeting the children in the northern Yemeni province of al Mahwit, an area under their control.

Parents are afraid for the lives of their children who would be forced to fight in their ranks on their lost battle.

Local sources confirmed that the leadership of the coup militia in the province of al-Mahwit asked the Directorate of Jebel al-Mahwit and several directorates to support their fronts with 170 fighters as compulsory conscription.

The Houthi militia had forced the local authority leaders in the departments to collect the requested number of fighters by force.

Al-Mahwit Media Center said that the militias held a meeting on Monday to approve the formation of a committee to carry out the effort to impose recruitment on citizens.

The committee involves the director of the al Jabal directorate Ali al-Tayari, the secretary-general of the local council Yahya Khadeef, the Houthi leader, Abdul Jalil al-Asiri and Ali Bahr.

The Center quoted the residents of the Jabal al-Mahwit district as saying that militia members were deployed in the Directorate, with statements calling for enlisting.

When they were met with rejection and refusal from the residents, they threatened the citizens, who fear forced drafting in Mahwit and the areas controlled by the militia.

The militia fronts have witnessed a large deficit and a severe shortage in their fighters, after thousands of them were killed on the fronts and the majority fled, forcing them to resort to forced conscription and intensifying the mine layering in an effort to disrupt the progress of the national army supported by the Saudi led Arab Coalition.

What role do women play in Bahrain terror groups?
2017-08-27
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] In the footsteps of al-Qaeda, ISIS and other radical Islamic groups, it was recently uncovered that many murderous Moslem Khomeinist cells were exploiting women in Bahrain.

The Bahraini Interior Ministry announced that it had uncovered a 10-member terrorist cell, including a woman suspected of involvement in terrorist acts.

The cell is headed by Hussein Ali Ahmed Dawood, 31, who is wanted and is leader of the terrorist organization Saraya al-Ashtar, and a runaway to Iran.

Dawood has been sentenced to life imprisonment in three terrorist cases and for his involvement in the formation of terrorist cells.

Among the detainees for being a member of the cell is Zainab Makki Abbas, 34, who helped the group use her house as a hideout containing explosives and a Kalashnikov weapon belonging to her brother, Hassan Makki Abbas.

According to the Bahraini interior ministry, Zainab later asked her husband, Amin Habib, who was also enjugged
Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out!
later, to take the bags from the house and hand them over to Hussein Mohammed Hussein for concealment.

Zainab was not the first woman to be listed in the Khomeini terrorist cells in Bahrain. In March 2017, Bahraini security services arrested a "terrorist cell linked to Iran, consisting of 20 people, including four women".

The four women were Amira Mohammed Abdul Jalil, 35, Faten Abdul Hussein Ali Nasser, 41, Hamida Juma Abdullah, 40, and Mona Habib Saleh, 46, involved in prisoner smuggling operation, and in providing cover to fleeing murderous Moslems.

Residents flee Kunduz village
2017-05-30
Scores of residents from Mullah Sardar village on the outskirt of Kunduz city have fled their homes to avoid a possible war.

They said that Taliban snipers have taken up positions inside residential areas.

But local officials have rejected the claims and said security forces have cleared the village of insurgents.

“The people have been displaced, they are affected and face a lot of problems, their agriculture has been affected, the government must address their plight, but it does not mean that Mullah Sardar village was not cleared during the operation,” said the police Kunduz governor's spokesman Sayed Mahmoud Danish.

Meanwhile a number of Kunduz farmers have said that the war and violence has had a negative impact on agriculture.

Mullah Sardar village is located three kilometers from Kunduz city.

Residents who fled to the highway said that Taliban snipers have taken up positions inside people’s homes.

“The operation is going on in Dand Taloka and other areas, there has not been any kind of operation in Mullah Sardar village,” said a resident of the village, Abdul Jalil.

“All people have been displaced, we left each and everything in the village,” said another villager Rahmat.

“There are many families who have been split and they do not have information about the fate of their loved ones,” said a member of Kunduz provincial council Safiullah Amiri.

The Taliban has over run Kunduz city twice in the past two years.

According to Kunduz agriculture department, war in the province over the recent years has destroyed ten percent of their crops.

This year already five percent of fields have been destroyed in the area due to war.
