The statement said that Khanday, who was closely connected with other separatist leaders of the APHC, was operating in close association with Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) and he used to collect funds for unlawful and violent mostly peaceful activities. He was also actively involved in activities aimed at secession of Jammu and Kashmir from the Union of India, NIA investigations have revealed, it said.

NIA Raids Multiple Locations In South Kashmir In Terror Funding Case
2023-05-16
[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is carrying out raids at multiple locations in South Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. 's Pulwama and Shopian.

The raids are part of the investigation in a terror funding case. Sources tell OneIndia that the case pertains to terror funding and the criminal conspiracy hatched by terror groups operating under various pseudo names at the behest of their commanders in Pakistain.

On May 11, the NIA had raided the home of Abdul Khaliq,Javid Ahmad Dhobi at Syed Kareem and Shoaib Ahmad Choor at Sangri Colony in Baramulla district in connection with the same case.

The raids come in the wake of the horrific Poonch attack in which five soldiers were killed. Days after this attack five more soldiers bit the dust in an attack that took place in the forests of Rajouri.

Earlier on the NIA had attached the properties of three accused persons at various locations in Kashmir under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act following a court order.

The NIA has carrie out multiple raids in Jammu and Kashmir to crack down on new terror groups which have been mushrooming off late. In recent times groups such as the The Resistence Front, United Liberation Front Jammu & Kashmir (UL J&K), Mujahideen Gazwat-ul-Hind (MGH), Jammu & Kashmir Freedom Fighters (JKFF), Kashmir Tigers, PAAF among others have been operating in Jammu and Kashmir.

These groups have become prominent following the abrogation of Article 370. Home Ministry sources say that these are just other names for groups such as the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad

NIA investigations so far have revealed that Jamaat-e-Islami (J&K) members had been collecting funds domestically and from abroad through donations as well as for purported charitable purposes, such as promotion of education and health.

"The funds were, instead, being used for violent and secessionist activities in J&K. They were also being channelled to proscribed terrorist organisations, such as Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and others through well-organised networks of Jamaat-e-Islami cadres," said the NIA.

Further, as per the investigations, Jamaat-e-Islami was also engaged in motivating the impressionable youth of Kashmir and recruiting new members (Rukuns) in J&K for carrying out violent, disruptive, and secessionist activities.

by attaching the properties of three accused persons who are linked with terror-organizations sponsored by Pakistain.

Stepping up its vigil on terror outfits and their affiliates, the NIA conducted raids on the properties of overground workers across various locations.

On Wednesday, the NIA attached the immovable properties of three accused in two different cases. The cases pertained to the Hizbul Mujahideen

In the first case, the NIA attached the immovable properties of Doulat Ali Mugal and Ishaq Pala, in Herman Shopian.

While Ishaq Pala, currently lodged in Central Jail Agra, was a terrorist of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) / al-Badr terrorist organization, Doulat Ali Mugal was an overground worker of the proscribed Hizbul Mujahideen. He is currently out on bail.

Pala while in Central Jail Srinagar, had conspired with his co-accused, including Riyaz Naikoo and Doulat Ali Mugal, and assisted Danish Ghulam Lone and Suhail Ahmad Bhat to cross the border from Kupwara Sector to join terror ranks and wage a war against the state. Accused Doulat Ali Mugal had provided logistic support to accused Danish Ghulam Lone and Suhail Ahmad Bhat at Kupwara when both were about to cross the Line of Control or LoC, the NIA said.

The properties attached on orders of NIA Special Court, include land measuring 5.5 Marla and 3.5 Marla under survey Nos.1597 Min and 1598 Min, including one double storey house of accused Doulat Ali Mugal located at Village Manigah Kupwara, and Immoveable property in the form of two rooms under the ownership of accused Ishaq Pala at village Allora, Tehsil Herman, Shopian, the NIA said.

The probe was launched in 2018, following which a module of the Hizbul Mujahideen was busted. The others who were charged included Danish Ghulam Lone, Suhail Ahmad Bhat and Feeroz Ahmad Lone. Another co-conspirator, Reyaz Ahmad Naikoo was killed by the security forces in an encounter.

In the second case, the NIA attached the property of Fayaz Ahmad Magray, who is an associate of the Jaish-e-Mohammad. He is currently lodged in jail. The property seized, included six shops constructed on land measuring 5.5 Marlas under survey No. 2664 Min at Lethpora, Pulwama, belonging to the accused.

Fayaz was charged in 2018 for conspiring with other accused which led to the suicide kaboom on the CRPF group centre in Pulwama. He had carried out a recce of the CRPF centre and also provided logistic support to Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists, the NIA noted.

During the attack two faceless myrmidons Fardeen Ahmad Khandey and Manzoor Ahmad Baba, along with one Pak Abdul Shakoor were killed inside the CRPF camp, the NIA also said.

Man who provided ‘shelter’ to Poonch attackers for two months detained
2023-04-27

As a first substantial breakthrough in the Poonch ambush probe, security forces zeroed-in on a man, who allegedly provided ’shelter’ and ’support’ to the bully boyz for at-least two months before they carried out April 20 attack that claimed the lives of five soldiers.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, Butch shot Black Bart's knife out of his hand......
the search operation to track down the ultras entered the sixth day.

Sources told news agency—Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. News Observer (KNO), that following leads and cross checking the statements of 50 detainees in the case, forces zeroed-in on one Nasir, a local, for his involvement in sheltering and supporting the bully boyz for more than two months, before executing the ambush in Tota Gali, Bhata Dhurian in Bhimbir Gali Secto, Mender Poonch.

Army Commander Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi visited the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch and took stock of the ongoing operation, the officials said, adding he asked the troops to be relentless in their pursuit. This was Army commander’s second visit in the region in less than a week.

Five Army personnel were killed, and another was maimed after their vehicle was attacked by bully boyz in Poonch last Thursday.

A massive search and cordon operation was launched after the attack and it has now spread to 12 areas across the twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri.

Sources claimed that after sustained questioning and cross checking the statements a local, Nasir confessed his involvement and told Sherlocks that he sheltered the bully boyz at his house for more than two months and "provided them logistic and material support."

"Some of the detainees were let off after questioning," they said.

Special Forces are also engaged in the search operation, the sources said, adding the agencies are backed by drones, sniffer dogs and metal detectors.

A large spread of forest areas, deep gorges, natural caves and dense growths have been searched and the operation is now covering other places, they said.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, Butch shot Black Bart's knife out of his hand......
a balloon from across the border was noticed in Jhalas area of Poonch, they said.

Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi took stock of the search operation which entered its sixth day on Wednesday.

"He interacted with the troops deployed in remote areas and exhorted them to be innovative and relentless in their pursuit," the northern command tweeted.

This was the second visit of the army commander to the border districts within five days. Earlier on April 22, Lt Gen Dwivedi had visited the attack site at Bhata Dhurian, a notorious infiltration route for bully boyz from across the Line of Control because of its topography, dense forest cover and natural caves. Sources had earlier said seven to eight bully boyz spread in two groups are believed have engineered the attack.

According to initial investigation, the bully boyz reportedly hid themselves in a culvert on the road from where they launched the attack on the truck which was carrying fruits, vegetables and other items to Sangiote village from the Bhimber Gali camp for Iftar to be organised by the Rashtriya Rifles.

Over 50 bullet marks were spotted on the vehicle that shows intensity of the firing by terrorists, the sources said.

The troops involved in the operation are exercising utmost caution as the bully boyz may have planted improvised bombs (IEDs) in the densely forested area with deep gorges and caves, they added.

The slain soldiers were from a Rashtriya Rifles unit deployed for counter-terror operations.

Experts from various agencies including the National Security Guard (NSG) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) have visited the site of the attack, the officials said.

They said a sniper is believed to have targeted the vehicle from the front before his associates showered bullets and lobbed grenades on the vehicle from opposite sides, apparently giving the troops no time to retaliate.

"The bully boyz used steel coated bullets that can penetrate an armoured shield," they said adding, "Before fleeing, the bully boyz stole the soldiers’ arms and ammunition."

Poonch terror attack: Around 30 people detained for questioning, hunt on for terrorists

[OneIndia] Around 30 people have been detained for questioning so far as security forces conducted a massive search operation to track down the holy warriors who ambushed an Army truck in Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". 's Poonch killing five personnel last week, officials said on Sunday.

Necessary action is being taken against the holy warriors responsible for the deadly attack, the Army's Northern Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi said during an interaction with the personnel who survived the ambush in the dense forest area of Bhata Dhurian on Thursday. A stretch of the Jammu-Poonch national highway which was closed following the ambush was reopened for vehicular traffic on Sunday.

In a tweet on its official handle, the Army's Northern Command shared Lt Gen Dwivedi's visit to the Command Hospital in Udhampur and interaction with the survivor. "Dwivedi interacted with the survivor...and assured that necessary action is underway," it tweeted along with two pictures of the soldier.

Five soldiers were killed and one was injured after the holy warriors attacked the lone Army truck, which was carrying eatables for iftar to a nearby village. The Army's northern commander visited the attack site on Saturday.

The Bhata Dhurian forest area has for long remained a preferred infiltration route for holy warriors from across the Line of Control because of its topography, dense forest cover and natural caves. Dwivedi reviewed the security in the border area and the ongoing combing operation to track down the terrorists.

"Among those rounded up are two couples from Degwar in Poonch -- Iqbal and his wife Mudifa and Salam Din and his wife Rashida," an official source said, adding further investigation was underway. The slain soldiers were from a Rashtriya Rifles unit deployed for counter-terror operations.

Sources earlier said the attack was suspected to have been carried out by a group of three to four terrorists. The attackers possibly spent more than a year in Rajouri and Poonch and had adequate knowledge of the terrain, they added. The Jammu and Kashmir Gaznavi Force (JKGF) is said to be active in the area and its "commander", Rafiq Ahmed alias Rafiq Nayi, hails from the region.

Currently, three-four terrorist groups are active in the region of Rajouri and Poonch, the sources said. The holy warriors who ambushed the Army truck used steel core bullets, capable of piercing an armoured shield, and decamped with the soldiers' weapons, officials said on Sunday.

They said a sniper is believed to have targeted the truck from the front before the other holy warriors sprayed bullets and lobbed grenades on it. Experts from various agencies, including the National Security Guard (NSG) and the National Investigation Agency (NIA), have visited the site of the attack over the past two days and have managed to get a clear picture of the bushwhack which was laid by the terrorists, the officials said.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pond, the radioactive tadpoles grown into frogs. Really big frogs, in fact...
members of the Gujjar and Bakarwal communities on Sunday visited an Army unit in the Akhnoor sector here to express their solidarity with the forces. Mohd Akram, who was leading the 113-member-strong community delegation, appealed to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to provide free hand to the Army in tackling the threat of cross-border terrorism.

"We moved from Banihal tehsil in Ramban district to Akhnoor some 25 years back when militancy was at its peak and it was the Army which provided relief to us and ensured that we did not face any problem. We strongly condemn the attack on the troops and our community stands with our soldiers," Akram told news hounds. He said the holy warriors are working at the behest of Pakistain to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in Jammu and Kashmir and should be dealt with sternly.

"We request the defence minister to provide a free hand to the Army to tackle with terrorism," he said. A defence front man thanked the community for its concern and said the Gujjars and Bakkarwals are one of the most victimised communities of Pakistain's state-sponsored terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir since the early 90s.

"The community has suffered at length, frequently at the cost of precious lives and property at the hands of holy warriors supported from across the border. These valiant nomadic people have supported the Indian Army in counter insurgency and counter terrorism operations with great courage and conviction," the front man said.

, investigations have found that the Lashkar-e-Tayiba was behind the Poonch attack in which five soldiers of the Indian Army were killed.

The security agencies are finding it hard to find the seven hard boyz of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba as they may have escaped through the dense forests. The attack site is 7 kilometres from the Bhimber Ghali at the Line of Control (LoC), which is a thickly forested belt on the Indian side of the LoC. Sources tell OneIndia that this was a well planned attack and the hard boyz were aware that post the hit, they would easily escape into the forest area.

The intent, the source said was to create panic and unrest ahead of the G20 meetings slated to be held in Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". . The investigations have also shown that the Army vehicle was attacked from three sides.

The Intelligence Bureau has learnt that of the seven terrorists, 3 were from Pakistain. They had crossed over from Pakistain and had hidden in the dense forests, the Intelligence had also found.

A bigwig said that this is a deliberate attack planned by Pakistain. This has been done to instigate violence in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistain has been plotting several such strikes since the abrogation of Article 370, which removed the special status granted to J&K.

The third G20 tourism meet is scheduled to be held in the third week of of May in Srinagar. Pakistain has objected to this. Furthermore the attack came on a day when Pakistain had announced that its foreign minister, Bilawal Bhutto would be visiting India to attend the summit.

The hard boyz used rocket-propelled grenades and assault rifles against the Rashtriya Rifle jawans who were travelling in a truck. The initial probe suggests that the truck caught fire due to a direct rocket-propelled grenade hit. The probe is also ascertaining if the hard boyz had set the truck ablaze.

Probe agencies ascertain original source of bullets used in Poonch attack

[OneIndia] The bullets that were used by the terrorists to attack an Army vehicle in Poonch, in which five jawans were killed, were left behind by the US troops in Afghanistan following the fall of the US-backed government in August 2021.

According to the investigation, a sniper is said to have targeted the truck from the front before two other terrorists sprayed bullets and lobbed grenades. The probe is also trying to ascertain if the steel core bullets used by the terrorists in targeting the Army truck were made in China or in the United States.

Such bullets were left by the US troops in Afghanistan while leaving Kabul. They are said to have fallen into the hands of the Taliban, which in turn could have been diverted to the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad.

According to additional DGP, Jammu, Mukesh Singh, the use of Chinese made-steep core bullets used in the attack is under investigation.

"The attack was carried out by two to three terrorists who are believed to be Pakistanis. We can't speak about the involvement of locals at this stage," Singh also said.

"Massive search operations are on in Bhatta Durrian forests backed by the intelligence agencies, to track down the terrorists involved in the attack. The operations are being coordinated regularly by top officials," Singh said.

A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is camping in Poonch. The forensics team is also looking into the issue. In all probability the NIA will take over the probe soon. Sources tell OneIndia that while the investigation is underway, a majority of the resources are being used to track down the terrorists who may have escaped into the dense forests.

] Five soldiers were charred to death after snuffies attacked their vehicle with grenades in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, army said.

In a statement, the army’s Northern Command said that an army vehicle moving between Bhimber Gali and Poonch in the Rajauri sector was fired on by unidentified snuffies at about 3 pm.

The statement said that the vehicle caught fire due to "likely" use of grenades by terrorists, who took advantage of heavy rains and low visibility in the area.

"Five personnel of the Rashtriya Rifles Unit deployed for Counter Terrorist operations, in this area, have unfortunately bit the dust in the incident," it said.

Another seriously injured soldier was evacuated immediately to the Army Hospital at Rajauri and is under treatment, added the statement.

"Operations are in progress to locate the perpetrators," the statement said further. "Further details are being ascertained."
Khaama Press adds:
According to sources, the Incident was carried out by the terror organization People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), which receives funding from Jaish, reported by India today.

NIA’s pan-India raid unearths deadly Khalistan-Gangster nexus
2023-02-25
[OneIndia] In the recent nationwide crackdown by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) at 76 locations across eight states, six associated of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi have been arrested.

The NIA also arrested associates of Goldy Brar and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria. The arrested persons include Lucky Kokar, an associate of Canada based terrorist, Arsh Dalla. The raids were carried out in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, NCR, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Kokar was nabbed from Rajasthan on Tuesday. The NIA learnt that he was in direct contact with Arsh Dalla in Canada. It was on the instructions of Dala that Kokar had carried out recent killings in Jagraon, Punjab.

The NIA said that Kokar was working for Dalla, who is notorious for smuggling arms, ammunitions, IEDs among others. The arms and ammunition were being smuggled into India to revive the Khalistan movement, the NIA has learnt.

These elements were also raising funds, recruiting youth and carrying out terror attacks on behalf of the Bishnoi gang, the NIA said.

The NIA had last year registered cases in this regard. Since the case has been registered four massive raids have been carried out by the agency.

It was also learnt that Pakistain's ISI was playing a crucial role in these incidents. The main aim of the ISI is to revive the Khalistan movement and hence was using the gangsters based abroad to carry out such incidents.

The ISI had even handpicked one Harvinder Singh Rinda, a gangster turned terrorist based in Pakistain to oversee this network.

During the raids, the NIA also arrested Hari Om alias Titu, Lakhvi Singh. Nine weapons were recovered from Lakhvir.

More such raids are on the anvil as the NIA is looking to completely dismantle this network. These raids are crucial as the Khalistan elements pose a huge threat to India. Their networks abroad are in particular worrisome and attempts are being made galore to revive the Khalistan movement.

The agencies had also learnt about the K2 or Khalistan-Kashmir

Pakistan hopes to open infiltration routes by striking terror in J&K’s Rajouri

's Rajouri are being targeted by Pak bully boyz to help infiltration bids into India.

Reports said that there are four terror launching pads on the Pakistain side near the Rajouri sector. Around 25-30 bully boyz are planning on infiltrating India using these launch pads at Lanjote, Nikail, Kotle and Khuiretta, the report also said.

On January 1 and 2, there were two major incidents reported in Rajouri. While in the first one bully boyz opened fire and killed four people, the next day a kaboom was reported at the nearby site.

The report said that the Intelligence assessment said that the bully boyz of Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad

had set up these launchpads and are trying to infiltrate their bully boyz into Jammu and Kashmir. In a bid to do so, they want to target civilians so that it would distract the security forces, following which they could carry out the infiltrations.

The number of instructions in Jammu and Kashmir have gone down considerably. The annual 2021-2022 report of the Union Home Ministry said that 73 terrorist infiltration attempts were reported both through the International Border and Line of Control in 2021. This is in fact the lowest in five years.

In 2017 the number of infiltration bids were at 419 and in the following year it dropped to 328. This was largely because the Centre and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir adopted a multi-pronged approach to counter infiltration.

However there has been plenty of frustration among these terror groups owing to these developments. This has in turn led them to targeting civilians. If one were to notice, the year 2022 witnessed civilian killings and this was part of the psy-ops to drive fear. In Rajouri the plan is create unrest so that the paths to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir opens up.

He also informed that the life span of newly recruited Lions of Islam declined drastically in 2022 as 89 per cent of the newly recruited Lions of Islam were neutralised within the first month of them joining a terror group.

"This year, 100 fresh recruitments into terrorist ranks were reported showing a decline of 37% compared to last year. Maximum (74) joined LeT. Out of total recruitment, 65 Lions of Islam neutralised in encounters, 17 Lions of Islam arrested and 18 Lions of Islam are still active," Kumar said.

"During year 2022, total 93 successful encounters took place in Kashmir in which 172 Lions of Islam including 42 foreign Lions of Islam got neutralised. Maximum Lions of Islam neutralised from LeT/TRF(108) outfit followed by JeM (35), HM (22), al-Badr (4) and AGuH(3) outfits," Kumar was quoted as saying on the official handle of the Kashmir Zone Police.

This year the security forces further intensified operations amidst Pakistain trying to push more Lions of Islam in the Valley. There had also been an increase in the number of civilian killings. As many as 29 civilians, including 21 locals were killed by Lions of Islam this year. Of the 15 killed in assassinations, 15 were Moslems and six were Hindus. Kumar added that all Lions of Islam involved in these killings had been neutralised, barring two who have been identified as Basit Dar and Adil Wani. He assured that they would be neutralised soon.

Kumar added, rather they appeal them to return back, curse Lions of Islam openly and work with Jammu and Kashmir Police for the return of their wards.

Earlier the Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet that an encounter took place at the Karen area of Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter began following inputs about the presence of turbans in the area following which both the Indian Army and the Kashmir Police were pressed into service.

In October the police had said that the forces had shot full of holes forty turbans in the Valley. Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh had said that the security forces had shot full of holes 40 turbans of Pakistain origin in various encounters.

Singh said that most of these turbans had been tasked with targeting non-locals and those living in the Union Territory for a long time. There are attempts being made to push turbans from across the border. Such attempts in recent times were foiled in Rajouri and Poonch, the DGP said.

By June this year the security forces had already shot full of holes over 100 turbans in the Valley. The forces have been on high alert in the wake of intelligence warnings about enhanced activity at the terror launch pads across the border.

In 1999, he was freed by the Indian government in exchange for passengers on hijacked Indian Airlines Flight 814 that had been diverted to Kandahar. The hijackers were led by Masood Azhar's brother, Ibrahim Athar. Once he was handed over to the hijackers, they fled to Pak territory despite the fact that Islamabad had earlier stated that any of the hijackers would be jugged at the border. India, meanwhile, asserts that Pakistain consistently uses Azhar, the leader of a Pakistain-based terrorist group for terrorism-related activities in Kashmir.

Kabul Denies Masoud Azhar’s Presence in Afghanistan

[ToloNews] Islamic Emirate spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid denied that Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Maulan Masood Azhar was in Afghanistan, and said he is in Pakistan.

Pakistani media reported that Pakistan's Foreign Ministry in a letter asked the Islamic Emirate to find and arrest Azhar.

“The leader of the Jaesh-e-Mohammad group is not here in Afghanistan. This is an organization which could be in Pakistan. Anyway, he is not in Afghanistan and we have not been asked anything like this. We have heard about it in the news. Our reaction is that this is not true,” Islamic Emirate spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said that such allegations can affect the relations between Kabul and Islamabad.

“We also call on all parties to refrain from such allegations lacking any proof and documentation. Such media allegations can adversely affect bilateral relations,” said Abdul Qahar Balkhi, a spokesman for MoFA.

The alleged letter said that Azhar is hiding somewhere in the eastern provinces of Nangarhar or Kunar, according to the anonymous source quoted by Pakistani media.

“It is obvious (Pakistanis) give officials statements about the individuals related to Pakistan. This is a confused (matter) and it also needs proof about whether he is present there (in Afghanistan) or not,” said Tahir Khan, a Pakistani journalist.

The Jaesh-e-Mohammad group is mainly active in Pakistan. The group claimed the responsibility for an attack in Jamu and Kashmir.

valley in 2017.

In 2019, Malik was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with a terror funding case. Malik has without a doubt been one of the most dreaded persons in the Valley and his crimes range from killing of Indian Air Force (IAF) officials, the genocide of Kashmiri pandits, just to name a few.

While the case in which he has been convicted is just one of them, the other important case relates to the killing of the Indian Air Force (IAF) officials.

Malik, whose organization JKLF was banned by the Centre, is also facing two CBI cases. These relate to the kidnapping of Rubaiya Saeed, daughter of then Union home minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, in 1989, and the killing of four IAF personnel in 1990.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) started the paperwork but haven't done much else on May 30, 2017 against separatist and secessionist leaders, including unknown members of the Hurriyat Conference, who have been acting in connivance with active snuffies of proscribed terrorist organizations Hizbul Mujahideen

(LeT) and other outfits and gangs.

The case was registered for raising, receiving and collecting funds through various illegal means, including Hawala transactions, for funding separatist and terrorist activities in J&K and for causing disruption in the Valley by way of pelting stones on the security forces, burning schools, damaging public property and waging war against India, the probe agency said in the FIR.

Hafiz Saeed
...founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its false-mustache offshoot Jamaat-ud-Dawa. The United Nations declared the JuD a terrorist organization in 2008 and Hafiz Saeed a terrorist as its leader. Once the heat is off they let him go....
, the Pakistain-based chief of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa
...the front organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba...
, the front for the banned LeT, has also been named as an accused in the FIR.

Yasin Malik and ten others were chargesheeted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) under the Terrorist and Disruptive Act. The CBI named Yasin Malik as the main accused in both these cases.

The CBI moved the J&K high court seeking vacation of the stay and also shifting of the proceedings to Jammu. In 2009, the Srinagar bench had granted an interim stay of the trial before the special anti-terror court.

The HC held that the Srinagar bench had no jurisdiction to decide a case that is being tried in a Jammu special court. Justice Gita Mittal further held that the petitions filed by Malik and others at the Srinagar wing could not have been taken up for consideration. This particular case is one of the horrific crimes committed by Malik and the family awaits justice.

"I am hopeful I will get justice. The previous governments refused to give martyr status to my husband and treated killer Yasin Malik like Mahatma Gandhi. Pakistain must be crying over the conviction of Yasin Malik because he was their agent," late Squadron Leader Ravi Khanna's wife Nirmal Khanna told Times Now in an interview.

The JKLF is also responsible for illegal funnelling of funds for fomenting terrorism. The JKLF is actively involved in raising of funds and its distribution to Hurriyat cadres and stone-pelters to fuel unrest in Kashmir Valley as well as for subversive activities.

A total of 37 FIRs have been registered by the J&K Police against JKLF and two cases, including that of murder of IAF personnel, were registered by the CBI.

The organization was also involved in the kidnapping and killing of Ravindra Mhatre, an Indian diplomat posted the UK, in 1984. A week later, India executed Maqbool Bhat, a JKLF activist, who had been sentenced to death.
Another OneIndia article adds:
Malik has been investigated several times in the past for his role in channelising funds to create unrest and aid terror related activities in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. and Jamaat ul-Mujahideen.

Investigations had revealed that all these funds were routed through a Delhi based Hawala operative. It was also found that Yasin Malik had received funding of 1 lakh US dollars and the money was being carried by a lady called Shazia. The NIA says that it is probing into all these angles.

We are looking at each case since the 1995 onwards and this will help us get a better picture of the entire racket, the officer further added. In March 2019, the Union Government banned the Malik led JKLF. The outfit banned for alleged promotion of secessionist activities in J&K.
