America! Palestinian activist Huwaida Arraf (D-BDS) wants a seat in US Congress for Michigan

Any citizen can run, but winning is a bit harder. Here’s hoping her beautiful face and and smooth talk don’t enable this very connected Palestinian “activist” — founding member of the International Solidarity Movement and the Free Gaza Movement — to win.

Singapore Muslim soldier arrested for planning stabbing spree outside synagogue
2021-03-11
[IsraelTimes] Amirull Ali intended to ambush and kill at least three Jewish men as they left prayers, security officials say; he also planned to travel to Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. to join Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw,.

A radicalized Singaporean Moslem soldier has been arrested for planning a deadly stabbing spree against Jews, officials said Wednesday.

Such cases are rare in multi-ethnic Singapore, where different religious and ethnic groups generally live peacefully side by side.

Amirull Ali, 20, planned to ambush and kill at least three Jewish men as they left a synagogue after prayers, security officials said. Israel’s Channel 12 specified that he intended to target the Maghain Aboth Synagogue.

He became radicalized after researching the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict online and planned to travel to Gaza in the Paleostinian territories to join Islamic terror group Hamas’s military wing, they said.
In a highly tribal society, outsiders don’t generally fare well unless they are both connected and bring lotsa money, a high level of desirable skills, or are good for propaganda purposes, like Rachel Corrie, a.k.a. St. Pancake, the American member of the International Solidarity Movement who got herself run over by an armoured IDF bulldozer.
"Amirull was very serious, he had made detailed preparations, he had a knife prepared for his attack," Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam told local media.

"He decided to target the abdomen area because that’s where the heavy bleeding will cause quick death," the minister said.

But Amirull — who had been doing compulsory national service as an administrative support assistant
...alternate story line: Singaporean Walter Mitty imagines himself a fearsome Lion of Islam...
— shelved his plans as he was uncertain whether he would attain martyrdom.
But he was arrested anyway. How humiliating!
Nevertheless, the defense ministry became suspicious and raised the alarm, leading to his arrest this month.

Amirull was detained under the Internal Security Act, which allows for detention without trial for up to two years.

In December, authorities detained a 16-year-old who planned to attack two mosques in Singapore after being influenced by a massacre of Moslem worshippers in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Singapore, a city-state of 5.7 million, is mostly ethnic Chinese but is also home to a sizable ethnic-Malay Moslem minority. Its Jewish population is tiny, numbering only around 2,500, according to local media.

Remembering Rachel Corrie, canonized as Saint Pancake, Killed by Israeli Bulldozer (VIDEO)
2020-03-20
[PalestineChronicle] Twenty-three-year-old American peace activist Rachel Corrie was killed by an Israeli bulldozer that was preparing to demolish a Palestinian home in the Gaza Strip in 2003.
She was a western leftist who thought it would be a good idea to protect Muslims who would have thrown her off a building. Turns out it wasn't a good idea.Born on April 10, 1979, in Olympia, Washington, Corrie dedicated her life to defending Palestinian rights. In 2003, she went to the Gaza Strip as a member of the International Solidarity Movement.
She was LARPing at being a radical. Until another LARPer came and put her in the role of flattening her out and making her a part of a complete breakfast. squish

International activists en route to break siege on Gaza... again
2015-06-02
[AlAhram] A fishing trawler from Sweden is set to be joined by up to eight other boats as part of a third Freedom Flotilla
How utterly boring. But perhaps this time it will be Egypt telling them to get themselves to a nunnery, instead of Israel.
A fishing vessel has set sail from Sweden, as part of a new humanitarian aid flotilla to break a nine-year siege on the Israeli-occupied Gazoo strip, five years after a first attempt ended in the death of nine activists.
A naval and land blockade has restricted the movements of people and goods from and to the Gazoo strip, since the Islamist Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, movement won parliamentary elections and became its de-facto ruler in 2006.

As part of the Freedom Flotilla III fleet to break a siege affecting the lives of up to 1.8 million Gazooks, the Marianne boat set off from Sweden on 10 May, with nine people from Sweden and Norway, as well as humanitarian aid, on board.

"This move will serve to break the illegal and inhuman siege on Gazoo," Charlie Andreasson, one of the Swedish activists currently on board the Swedish boat, told Turkish news agency Anadolu.

The boat is set to join other ships from Greece, Norway, Italia, Canada, South Africa, Spain and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
and expected to reach Gazoo by mid-June.

activists and politicians from around the world heading to Gazoo this year, according to the International Freedom Flotilla Coalition statement released on Saturday.

Over the past five years, activists from the International Solidarity Movement supporting Paleostinians have repeatedly attempted to break the siege on Gazoo by arriving by sea on "freedom flotillas" or by land through Rafah border crossing with Egypt.

Since the last war on Gazoo, the Karam Abou-Salem cross-border has become the only commercial port for goods and fuel to reach Gazoo.

Repeated attempts
As part of the first Gazoo Freedom Flotilla, six ships headed to the strip in May 2010.

Israeli forces raided the ships in international waters, killing nine activists and injuring dozens others on the Mavi Marmara ship from Turkey on May 31, 2010, sparking tensions between Turkey and Israel. In 2013, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu apologised to Turkey over the attack.

In 2014, International Criminal Court
... where Milosevich died of old age before being convicted ...
chief prosecutor Fatou B. Bensouda said that, although there was a reasonable basis to believe that "war crimes" had been committed," it lacks "sufficient gravity" to come under ICC jurisdiction.

The Greek Coast Guard stopped the boats involved in a second attempt to break the siege in 2011.

Rafah border crossing
Paleostinians have traditionally used the Rafah crossing between Gazoo and Egypt to access education or medical treatment in Egypt and further abroad, but Egyptian authorities have kept the crossing mostly closed since former president Mohammed Morsi's ouster in 2013, citing security concerns in the north of the Sinai Peninsula, where Islamist murderous Moslems have been waging an insurgency against Cairo.

On the rare occasions that the crossing is opened, such as last Tuesday, Paleostinians are allowed into Gazoo, but not out.

Al Yarmuk Tragedy: Where Are the Pro-Palestinians?
2015-04-19
Al Yarmuk is a camp in the outskirts of war-torn Damascus. There are those who call it a refugee camp, meaning that all his residents are Palestinian refugees from 1948 and their direct descendants, while the reality is that the camp was established in 1957. It was never acknowledged by the Syrian regimes since then as a refugees camp, and Syrian regimes, as we know, have never missed an opportunity to score propaganda victories by relating everything bad under the sun to the "Zionist Entity." In fact, the neighborhood was ruled as part of the district of Damascus. Be that as it may, in the collective awareness of people, the camp became associated with the Palestinian tragedy, part of the conflict with Israel. As is customary in this conflict, names are always symbolic, part of the historic narrative, which has been so significant in the history of the conflict. Yarmuk was the scene of the battle in 636 A.D when the Arab-Muslim invaders defeated the army of the East Roman Empire, itself a foreign occupier of the land, and started their own occupation of the country they would later call Palestine. Not so relevant to today's situation? It is in the eye of the beholder.

In the Syrian civil war starting in 2011, the camp has become a zone of action. First, these were the rebels loyal to the Free Syrian Army [FSA] who cooperated with Palestinian factions, fighting against other Palestinian factions loyal to the Assad regime, which were backed by the Alawite-dominated Syrian army pro-Assad forces ended up losing, the Syria army entered into full-scale action, shelling indiscriminately the camp, besieging it and bringing about starvation, the spread of contagious diseases, in short bringing havoc to the place and its residents.

All this time, all the fighting parties there swore their allegiance to the Palestinian struggle against Israel, while massacring each other, mostly Palestinian residents. The UN is represented in the camp through the notorious anti-Israel Unrwa Agency, which made noises about the bad conditions in the camp, but to no avail. Who would listen to an outcry about the plight of Palestinians, when Israel is not involved?, when Israel cannot be blamed? Well, the tragedy got a turn to the worse in recent weeks, as ISIS fighters infiltrated the camp from the Hajar Al Aswad district of Damascus, trying to root out what is left of the pro-Assad elements, and when ISIS is in action, the news are bad, very bad.

The fighting soon became an all-out, free for all entanglement of all the various militias and Syrian army forces operating in the arena, with shuttering effects on the unarmed civilians in the camp. Unspeakable atrocities have taken place, though seem to have subsided in recent days. But alas, where is the pro-Palestinian community of the world? where is the International Solidarity Movement, the BDS movement, the Jewish voice for Peace, the partisans of Justice for Palestine[and pardon me all the other groups involved... limited space considerations prevent me from mentioning you]. Well, they are silent, and not because they do not know what is happening. They know it very well, as there is world-wide coverage of the carnage.

Corrie family loses Supreme Court appeal over daughter’s death
2015-02-13
[IsraelTimes] Court upholds ruling exempting army from paying damages since death ocurred in a war zone
Booyah! St. Pancake gets what she deserves!
Israel's Supreme Court upheld a lower court decision on civil damages in the case of US peace activist Rachel Corrie
...aka Saint Pancake. A member of the lefty International Solidarity Movement, she attempted to stare down an Israeli bulldozer in 2003...
, who was killed in the West Bank in 2003 by a military bulldozer.

The high court on Thursday upheld a ruling by the Haifa District Court exempting Israel from paying civil damages for wrongful death to Corrie's family since the incident occurred in a war zone.

Corrie, 23, a pro-Paleostinian activist from Olympia, Washington, was wearing an orange vest and attempting to stop a bulldozer from demolishing a Paleostinian home in Rafah in the Gazoo Strip when she was killed. The army said that the area where the incident occurred was named a closed military zone; the claim has been disputed.

An Israeli army investigation following Corrie's death found that the driver of the bulldozer could not see Corrie and did not intentionally run over her. The report accused Corrie and the pro-Paleostinian International Solidarity Movement of "illegal, irresponsible and dangerous" behavior.

Witnesses say that Corrie was clearly visible and that activists shouted for the bulldozer to stop before it hit the college student.

The Supreme Court on Thursday reversed a separate lower court decision, however, on the possible mishandling of the autopsy on Corrie's body, which will require further investigation by the court into the autopsy and the possible misplacement of some of Corrie's remains.

The Corries lost a lawsuit against Caterpillar Inc., the US company that manufactured the bulldozer that killed their daughter.

reported Wednesday that the one-woman play "My Name is Rachel Corrie," based on the activist's journal writings, will be staged Off-Broadway in April at the Culture Project's Lynn Redgrave Theater in the East Village. The play was last performed in New York a decade ago amid great controversy in the theater and Jewish communities.

Worse Than Hamas? Gaza's Other Terror Groups
2014-08-16
[IsraelTimes] After four weeks of a punishing Israel air and ground campaign that left nearly 2,000 dead (an estimated 1,000 of them gunnies, according to Israel) and much of Gazoo in ruins, Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, has lived to see another day.

For Israel, that might not be the worst thing. That's because for all of Hamas's violent extremism, it also governs a territory, maintains a social service wing and controls smaller, more Lion of Islam factions. Through mediators, Hamas and Israel have reached agreements in 2011 and 2012, and are negotiating another one right now in Cairo.

But many of Hamas's fellow jihadi organizations in Gazoo don't have the same interests. For most, their sole goal is to fight — not just against Israel, but to spread Islamist rule across the whole world. That's why, in the thick of the conflict on July 28, outgoing US Defense Intelligence Agency head Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn said ousting Hamas could bring on "something like ISIS," the radical Islamist group now conquering swaths of Iraq and Syria.

"If Hamas were destroyed and gone, we would probably end up with something much worse," Flynn said, according to Rooters. "The region would end up with something much worse."

Who are these groups? Here's a quick rundown of the other major organizations in Gazoo that seek Israel's destruction.

Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
— Sometimes known in Israel simply as Jihad, this is the second-biggest terrorist group in Gazoo after Hamas. Founded in 1979 as a break-away from the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood, Islamic Jihad resembles Hamas in many ways. It's a Paleostinian national movement, it receives funding from Iran and has a small social service wing that includes schools, hospitals and family mediation services, according to the New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...
. It is also party to the negotiations taking place in Cairo.

A 2011 Rooters article estimated the Islamic Jihad's militia, the Al-Quds Brigade, at 8,000 fighters, compared to tens of thousands of Hamas fighters. Islamic Jihad executed a number of terror attacks during the second intifada a decade ago, including the 2001 abduction and murder of two 14-year-old boys in Gush Etzion. It has frequently fired rockets at Israel from Gazoo, including during the three rounds of conflict between Israel and Hamas in recent years.

Popular Resistance Committees — The Popular Resistance Committees, or PRC, is a break-away from the Paleostinian Fatah Party, which governs the Paleostinian Authority in the West Bank. The PRC was founded in 2000 and opposes Fatah's grinding of the peace processor with Israel. Unlike many groups operating in Gazoo, the PRC is not Islamist. In 2012, Yediot Aharonot estimated that it was the third-strongest militia in Gazoo and that it receives much of its funding from the Lebanese bully boy group Hezbollah, which is also backed by Iran.

The PRC also executed terror attacks during the second intifada. In 2006, it collaborated with Hamas on the kidnapping of Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier.

Jihadi groups — There are a number of jihadi groups reported to be active in Gazoo and allied with, or supportive of, the Islamic State and Al-Qaeda agenda of reestablishing an international Islamic caliphate. Among them, the Army of Islam, which participated in the Shalit kidnapping and kidnapped BBC news hound Alan Johnston in 2007.

Another group, Tawhid wal'Jihad, has shot a number of rockets at Israel and is most famous for the 2011 kidnapping and murder of Vittorio Arrigoni, an Italian activist with International Solidarity Movement. Another, Jund Ansar Allah, attempted to attack Israel on horseback in 2009 and declared Gazoo an Islamic emirate later that year, leading to a shootout with Hamas forces.

Israel Court Hears Appeal over U.S. Activist's Death
2014-05-22
[AnNahar] Israel's Supreme Court on Wednesday heard an appeal by the parents of a U.S. activist who was crushed to death by an Israeli army bulldozer in 2003.

The parents of Rachel Corrie
...aka Saint Pancake. A member of the lefty International Solidarity Movement, she attempted to stare down an Israeli bulldozer in 2003...
asked for a decision clearing the military of any responsibility for her death to be overturned, alleging "negligence" in the treatment of the case by an Israeli court.

"I think they've set a very low threshold in terms of what would be considered negligence, and just ignored the lack of a credible and thorough investigation," Rachel's father Craig Corrie said, referring to the 2012 court ruling.

"If you take (all the material for the appeal) together, what you have is a mechanism that allows the Israeli military to act with impunity," he told journalists before the hearing.

"As an ex-soldier myself I think that's very dangerous."

His wife Cindy Corrie said: "I think there are very important decisions that this court needs to make that impact far more than Rachel."

It was unclear when the Supreme Court would rule on the appeal.
The mills of justice grind slowly, but they grind exceeding small. Sometime in the next century sounds about right -- under the circumstances the judges won't want to have missed anything.
An Israeli court in 2012 cleared the army of any responsibility for Corrie's death, rejecting a civil suit filed by the family.

The ruling sparked an angry reaction from the family, with Cindy Corrie accusing the Israeli authorities of a cover-up.

According to eyewitness accounts, the 23-year-old was killed by a military bulldozer in Rafah in the southern Gazoo Strip on March 16, 2003.

At the time, she was acting as a human shield with a group of activists from the pro-Paleostinian International Solidarity Movement to prevent troops from demolishing a house.

Free Gaza group: Zionists ran concentration camps
2012-10-05
Group's head Tweets: “Zionists operated the concentration camps and helped murder millions of innocent Jews.”

The US head of The Free Gaza Movement, a pro-Palestinian group, unleashed a wave of criticism over the last several days after asserting on Twitter that Zionists ran concentration camps and murdered Jews.

Greta Berlin, the American co-founder of the hardcore anti-Israel group, tweeted on September 30, “Zionists operated the concentration camps and helped murder millions of innocent Jews.”

Berlin’s Tweet blaming Zionists for the Holocaust caught the eye of Avi Mayer, who oversees social media with the Jewish Agency for Israel. Mayer was the first to draw attention to Berlin on his tweeter feed, writing ”-- -- the folks behind the #Gaza flotilla -- reveal themselves to be the lowest anti-Semites.”

Mayer documented the chronology of Berlin’s attacks on Jews and Israel, as well as the Holocaust revisionism of the Free Gaza group, on a Storify blog.

Mayer wrote, "The Free Gaza Movement is the key actor behind the successive flotillas that have sought to violate the maritime closure around Gaza in support of Hamas. It is chaired by Huwaida Arraf, who also heads the International Solidarity Movement (and has endorsed the use of violence against Israel), and its Board of Advisors includes such luminaries as Naomi Klein, Peter Hansen, and Jenny Tonge.”

He continued “It has been endorsed by a range of organizations and individuals, including Desmond Tutu, Jewish Voice for Peace, Code Pink, the Palestine Red Crescent Society, the Rachel Corrie Foundation, George Galloway, and Neturei Karta International.”

Prof. Gerald Steinberg, the head of the Jerusalem-based NGO Monitor, told The Jerusalem Post in a Thursday email, “The NGO activists in the so-called 'free Gaza' campaign have always reflected obsessive, irrational and immoral characteristics, and the revelation of links to crude antisemitism provides additional evidence. The members of organizations like the ISM [International Solidarity Movement] and others behind free Gaza, that lead the political war to demonize Israel and give support to terror groups, have been unmasked in an entirely unambiguous manner. Their facade of human rights and humanitarian aid, which was never supported by had any tangible evidence, has completely disintegrated."

According to an article in Canada’s National Post, Berlin said her tweet was meant for her private Facebook account and was mistakenly sent to the Free Gaza Twitter feed. The Canadian daily reported that a Tweet from Free Gaza quoted her as saying, “I shared it without watching it. I am sorry that I just sent it forward without looking at it. It won’t happen again.”

Berlin linked her Tweet to a video ostensibly from conspiracy theorist Eustace Mullins, who propagates the views that Jews are responsible for the Shoah and are admirers of Hitler.

Mayer wrote that “This video, endorsed and promoted by @FreeGazaOrg, claims Jews want to erect a statue of Hitler in Israel to thank him” and the person speaking in the video “appears to be the late anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist Eustace Mullins.”

Berlin and her organization, the Free Gaza Movement, are linked to radical Islamist organizations and seek, according to critics, to delegitimize Israel’s right to exist. Berlin is currently on a book tour in Canada.

Gaza court gives life terms to 2 killers of Italian activist
2012-09-18
[Al Ahram] Four Paleostinian hardliners were cooled for a few years
Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw!
, two for life, on Monday after a Gazoo military court found them guilty of the kidnap and murder of an Italian peace activist in April 2011.
Mahmud Al-Salfiti and Tamer Al-Husasna were found guilty of kidnapping and murdering Vittorio Arrigoni and each sentenced by the court in the Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,-ruled enclave to life imprisonment.

Another member of the Salafist group, Khadr Faruk Jerim, received a 10-year prison term for kidnapping the Italian while a fourth, Amer Abu Ghola, was cooled for a few years

for a year for providing the house in which Arrigoni was found hanged.

The tribunal also ordered to dismiss Salfiti, Husasna and Jerim from the police force they served on. Abu Ghola is a fisherman.

Arrigoni, 36, a long-time member of the pro-Paleostinian International Solidarity Movement, was kidnapped on April 14, 2011.

Shortly after his disappearance, a previously-unknown Salafist group released a YouTube video showing a bruised and bloodied Arrigoni and threatened to kill him within 30 hours if Hamas failed to release a group of jihadist prisoners.

Hamas security forces found Arrigoni's body shortly afterwards, ahead of the stated deadline, in an abandoned house in northern Gazoo.

Among those held by Hamas the group demanded be freed was Sheikh Hisham Al-Saedini, a leader of the Salafist group Tawhid wal Jihad. He was eventually released last month following Jordanian intervention.

several suspects in the case, and a week later raided a house where three more suspects were reportedly hiding.

Two were killed during the raid, and a third was taken into custody.

Arrigoni's death shocked the local community and international aid workers and activists in Gazoo, where he had lived and worked for much of the three years prior to his death. His murder was the first of a foreigner in Gazoo since Hamas took over in 2007.

Family of slain US activist awaits verdict
2012-08-27
Almost a decade after their daughter was crushed to death by an Israeli army bulldozer as she tried to block its path in a Gaza Strip conflict zone, Rachel Corrie's parents are preparing for a judge's ruling in their high-profile civil lawsuit against the military.

They hope Tuesday's court decision will conclude a case that's turned their daughter into a rallying cry for pro-Palestinian activists, taken years of their life and drained their savings.

"We are here with a great deal of anticipation for Tuesday," said Corrie's mother, Cindy, 64, a homemaker and musician from Olympia, Washington. "We are hoping for some accountability here for what happened to Rachel."

Corrie, a pro-Palestinian activist, was 23 when she was killed in March 2003 while she and other activists sought to block an Israeli military bulldozer they believed was about to demolish Palestinian homes in the Gaza border town of Rafah. The driver has said he didn't see Corrie, and the death was accidental. The Israeli army had been undertaking systematic house demotions in the densely populated border area, trying to halt shooting and mortar attacks against soldiers and Jewish settlers who used the route. The house destruction sparked international condemnation at the time..

Corrie belonged to the pro-Palestinian International Solidarity Movement, whose activists enter conflict zones and try interfere with activities of Israel's military. Supporters of Israel argue that Corrie, like thousands of other foreign activists, recklessly chose to risk her life.

"Rachel Corrie was injured as a result of her prohibited action, for which she is solely responsible, due to her considerable negligence and lack of caution," the Justice Ministry said in a statement.

The family's case is the first civil lawsuit of a foreigner harmed by Israel's military to conclude in a full civilian trial. Others have resulted in out-of-court settlements.

Since the Corries went to court in 2005, there have been 15 hearings and testimony from 23 witnesses. They hope the court will apportion blame to the bulldozer driver and his superiors, who have all been cleared of wrongdoing in a military court. The Corries are seeking a symbolic $1 in damages, along with compensation for the money they've spent bringing the case to trial.

Israeli rights group B'Tselem said in 304 cases where soldiers killed Palestinians, only nine indictments were filed. Another 27 cases were awaiting a decision of the military advocate general and 14 cases were under investigation.

The Corries said they spent over $200,000 of their own savings to fly in witnesses, attend hearings and translate over 2,000 pages of court transcripts. They were supported by an army of volunteers, including lawyers, translators and media activists.

Arabia
American filmmaker expelled from Bahrain
2012-07-15
On Saturday, Bahrain announced that it had deported US filmmaker Jen Marlowe, accusing her of falsifying her visa application and filming a documentary without permission.

Marlowe, who arrived in the country around a week ago, told officials that she had come "to help a friend who had recently had a baby," the information affairs authority said.

It added, "But investigation showed the names and addresses she gave were fabricated... While in Bahrain she has been shooting a documentary film that requires a proper visa permitting one to work in the kingdom."

"Marlowe is affiliated with members of the International Solidarity Movement (ISI) organisation, some of whom had resorted to similar illegal entry tactics in February of this year."
They've turned their attention away from the Jewish entity? How nice. Perhaps now Rachel Corrie will resume three dimensionality, in spirit at least.
The filmmaker was briefly detained and questioned before being flown out to Jordan.
