[Federalist] Last Thursday, House Republicans released two explosive testimonies from IRS whistleblowers that, if true, further suggest President Joe Biden sold his political power for profit from our enemies abroad via his son Hunter’s business dealings. Moreover, they allege the Department of Justice has done everything in its power to for years protect the Bidens, even to the point of massively interfering in an American election.
This story is huge — bigger than Monica Lewinsky and Watergate combined. If confirmed, it means that the sitting President of the United States is potentially compromised by our nation’s adversaries, and the intelligence apparatus are enabling his corruption. We have no choice but to tear it down.
Yet you wouldn’t know any of that from the headlines this weekend. Sunday’s premiere, front-page stories in each of America’s biggest newspapers — The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and The Washington Post — were all about the quick and unsuccessful "coup" in Russia. Mentions of the Biden scandal were scant. The New York Times’ only featured Biden scandal article, titled "The Real Lesson From the Hunter Biden Saga," reads like satire, dismissing all the mounting allegations against the president and even praising him as a "model of ... love and support" for people with drug-addicted family members.
It’s pretty interesting that almost immediately after the publication of the IRS whistleblower testimonies, the White House and State Department began sounding alarm bells over a "coup" that was over almost as soon as it started. Naturally, the corporate media was grateful to be handed a distraction story on a silver platter. The short-lived mutiny has not only dominated the headlines this weekend but was also granted wall-to-wall coverage on every major TV news channel. CNN, in particular, has really taken advantage of the Russia "coup," using it as an opportunity to extol Biden for his "mastery of foreign policy."
None of this is to say that this alleged attempted coup against the Kremlin isn’t newsworthy. The story has its place in the "world news" section. However, a foreign uprising that may or may not impact a war America has no business participating in should not be commanding the front pages for days on end, especially when we have far bigger fish to fry.

I think the latest polls show a majority in the USA think Biden guilty of corruption.
There are plenty more news releases yet to come.
Personally, I want Biden to be the leader of the Democratic Party as long as possible as the stink will accumulate.
It is true that the NYT, WaPo, CNN haven't covered the corruption much. That just means it will be a bigger deal when they finally do cover it.

And you know that they're doing their utmost in journalistic due diligence to come up with ways to cover this story.

Even the corrupt media we have today has to operate on FOMO. They are each watching their competitors closely to make sure they are not identified as the last to catch the wave.
When the wave breaks, the Bidet Cabal will be towed under...

"Coup" or no "coup", the media would have easily found another "story" to divert attention from the Biden criminal syndicate.
[The Hill] Former President Trump took his latest swipe at the United States election system during a speech to Michigan Republicans on Sunday.
During a speech to Oakland County Republicans in Michigan on Sunday, Trump said that he saved the steel industry in Michigan by placing tariffs on foreign aluminum and steel when he was president. He said that there would be no country without steel, borders or elections, which he said were "fake" in the U.S.
"And if you don’t have steel, you don’t have a country, like borders, like elections, got to have real elections," he said during the keynote address. "We don’t really real elections, we have fake elections."
Trump, who has repeatedly falsely claimed the 2020 election was stolen from him, also said that he wants same-day voting on Election Day, paper ballots and instating requirements for voter ID. He said Democrats do not want to implement those measure because they want to "cheat."
“Those who vote decide nothing. Those who count the vote decide everything.”

They had paper ballots back in the days of Tammany Hall. Even with paper you need a transparent system of accounting for all paper, transfers, and controls.

Cheaters gonna cheat. Make it as hard as possible to cheat and the punishment as severe as possible. There are millions of lives and trillions of dollars at stake.
In person voting with paper ballots make cheating a low yield crime. Mail in ballots break the ballot chain of custody. Computers automate the cheating process and hide the hands controlling it. The holy grail of election fraud.

Brazil has a good 300 million people (WAGging it here), and they not only still use paper ballots, but they also can have election results ready that night.

Indeed! Growing up in the Detroit 'burbs, I was never very political but I did notice that it was common in a Detroit election for a box of ballots to be discovered in the trunk of a car or a church basement. Innocent lamb that I was, I figured this was just sloppy work.
More recently, after the 2016 election when Donald beat Hillary, Detroit tried to hold a recount. Michigan uses optically-scanned paper ballots. After a voter fills out the ballot and runs it thru the scanner, the ballot is placed in a box. At the end, the total number of ballots contained is written on the box. Michigan law says you can't count the box if the totals don't match. A perfectly reasonable accounting control.
Unfortunately for the Democrats, the recall had to be abandoned when the actual number of ballots in the boxes was less than the totals written on the outside for about half the precincts. Hurrah, the perfectly reasonable accounting control worked! But the only reason the discrepancy appeared was the attempted recount. Without the recount, everything was groovy! Nothing to see here, move along.
It is hard to believe this was the first time in history a Detroit election was jiggered. Also hard to believe Detroit is the only place this happens.
The last time a Republican was elected Mayor of Detroit was 1957. Something to think about for the "they voted for it, they deserve it" crowd.

"Hard to believe?" How about impossible to believe.

Go back to paper ballots. Anyone showing up with a box of ballots 'found' anywhere after the time limit needs to be summarily shot and all possessions burned. There need to be /serious/ automatic penalties for loss of custody etc.

I have been a poll worker since just after the 2016 elections. My deceased wife had worked the polls years before. I was intrigued by that weird election and be the connection to my wife. I was surprised to discover that counting systems varied between counties in the same state. I think that feature works against cheating as complex systems are more difficult to game. I mistrust most efforts to dictate solutions where paper ballots are eliminated and voter roll control is outsourced. The greatest vulnerability, in my opinion, is through absentee ballots that are not counted upon receipt. A bogus ballot is not useful unless it is assigned to a registered voter. Signature match is also vital.

Trump had lots of time to send lawyers to oppose some of the Zuck buck and ballot harvesting and count late votes rules that happened in PA, AZ, GA, MI, WI. Instead he relied on mass rallies and discouraged early voting by republicans.
Of course there were some things that could not have been anticipated but that doesn't excuse the failure to do what should have been done.
Also, he and Barr somehow didn't know that the Hunter Biden laptop had been vetted and found reliable. Had they handled this one thing properly, Biden would have leaked votes bigly.
