Police also indicated, “One firearm and several dozen casings have been recovered from the scene,” USA Today noted there was a “street party” in the vicinity of the shooting prior to the shots being fired.
The conditions of the 26 wounded victims were detailed.
Cleveland19 reported that no suspect has been apprehended in connection with the incident.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A motorist was viciously attacked in his car by a group of men who punched him in the head a dozen times before a woman poured liquid on him.
The man was ambushed on U Street in downtown Washington, D.C., as he was stuck in traffic on Wednesday night.
He was prevented from leaving by people standing in front of his car as one of the attackers pulled open the door and started punching him.
The assailant then grabbed his legs and tried to pull him out of the car so the whole group could bash him on the ground.
The driver held on to his upholstery for dear life and managed to resist being dragged out, so the attackers just started punching him again.
The first one was joined by a second, and he then leaned inside the car and ganged up on the driver who desperately tried to protect his face with his hands.
The video cut to a woman in a pink jumper pouring liquid on the driver, before another man landed another flurry of blows as he begged them to stop.
A man claimed on Instagram that the man was attacked because he was 'recording my little sister.'
However, he later made another post retracting her accusation and confirming the driver did nothing to deserve the beating.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A wildfire in Tracy, California is raging and has already burned some 11,000 acres across the West coast state, and forced the evacuation of thousands.
The Corral Fire was first reported on Saturday afternoon at around 2.30pm. By around midnight, the fire was just 13 percent contained, according to the California Fire department.
The fire, which is being driven quickly by wind, jumped Interstate 580, prompting evacuation orders for the communities east of the major artery.
Evacuation orders extended to the Tracy Golf and Country Club, as well as the Tesla Treatment Facility.
At least two firefighters have been injured attempting to contain the blaze, according to the Santa Clara California Fire Unit. Both were hospitalized with minor to moderate burns.
The fire reportedly began at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Site 300 on the border of San Joaquin and Alameda counties.
Site 300 is home to facilities that support the development of explosive materials, as well as hydrodynamic testing.
Those running the site assess the operational ability of non-nuclear weapon components, and test new conventional explosives to potentially add to the nuclear stockpile.
Overnight winds of up to 40mph were expected to continue spreading the fire.
At present, it remains unclear how the blaze began - the investigation into its origins is ongoing.
The Tracy Police Department said firefighters will do a controlled burn near Tracy Hills, which is just below the area that's been evacuated.
A controlled burn was previously scheduled for May 28 at the Site 300 lab - the LA Times reports that no controlled burns were conducted Saturday.
Pacific Gas and Electric Co. reported two fire-related power outages Saturday evening.
The first occurred because Cal Fire requested that energy be cut to several lines to ensure the safety of their firefighters. That outage hit roughly 1,600 people.
The second, which impacted about 2,350 customers, was caused by damage to PG&E equipment.
By late Saturday evening, power was restored to all but about 200 customers.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] How the most unlucky aircraft carrier in the US fleet - from its jinxed captain to hungover pilots, fatal fires and even a disaster involving missing dentures - became an unlikely war hero (despite its R-rated logo). Then she was the only US aircraft carrier to witness Japanese surrender in 1945.
But her beginnings were far from heroic – named for a little-known battle fought in a field full of cows during the Revolutionary War, and with a somewhat explicit bull logo that had to be painted over every time they got to port lest it 'upset the civilians'.
Everyone who served aboard her knew it was ridiculous — but they latched onto the name with enthusiasm. And soon, some unknown wit coined the nickname she carried throughout her career: The Mighty Moo.
Her string of bad luck began with her first captain, Robert McConnell, a naval aviator who himself was plagued with ill fortune.
[GEO.TV] The Pakistain's polio ...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set. Currently the disease is only found in Pakistain and Afghanistain... program on Saturday announced another child being paralysed by the wild poliovirus type 1 (WPV1) in Shikarpur district of Sindh, bringing the total number of cases in the country this year to four.
The regional reference laboratory for polio eradication at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Islamabad notified that WPV1 was detected from stool samples collected from a 2.5-year-old child from Birkhan Union Council (UC) of Shikarpur.
On the other hand, Polio Eradication Programme’s national coordinator Dr Shahzad Baig stepped down from his post due to "personal reasons".
Meanwhile,
...back at the argument, Livia grabbed for Jane's hair to make her point. Jane elbowed her in the face in rebuttal... health authorities assigned the work of the coordinator of the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) for polio eradication to the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination (NHS, R&C) Joint Secretary Captain (retd) Anwar-ul-Haq, in addition to his own duties with immediate effect until further notice.
Providing details about the fourth polio case, the program officials stated that the child had onset paralysis on May 11. Genetic sequencing of the virus isolated from his samples revealed that it is genetically linked to the imported YB3A cluster.
This genetic cluster disappeared from Pakistain in mid-2021 but remained in circulation in Afghanistan. It was reintroduced in Pakistain following cross-border transmission last year.
It is worth mentioning here that it is the first polio case from Sindh this year as earlier three cases have been reported from the Dera Bugti, Chaman and Killa Abdullah areas of Balochistan.
[GEO.TV] To counter the menace of professional begging, the Punjab government has decided to establish special barracks across the province’s jails where beggar mafia chiefs will be imprisoned.
The Punjab Home Department announced the establishment of designated barracks for beggar mafia chiefs in jails across the province.
This initiative follows the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif ...served two three non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf, then by the courts... and represents a significant step in the province's crackdown on organised begging.
According to a spokesperson on Sunday, each barrack in the first phase can accommodate between 100 to 200 individuals.
The number of these specialised barracks will be increased as necessary, particularly in larger cities where the issue is more prevalent.
In addition to these logistical changes, the Punjab Home Department is also drafting legislation to impose stricter penalties on leaders of the beggar mafia.
The proposed law will target those involved in the kidnapping and coercion of children, imposing severe penalties on those found guilty.
This amendment aims to ensure that those who exploit innocent children and women for professional begging face significant legal consequences.
The spokesperson emphasised that the government is committed to eradicating the beggar mafia from the province.

Alinsky said make them live up to their own ideals. Not that this was an ideal so much as a lie to placate the oppressed.
[Rudaw] A Christian woman whose mother converted to Islam when she was 15 was told by Iraqi authorities that she and her children should also convert.
Iraq’s Personal Status Law, passed in 1959, stipulates that if a parent converts to Islam, their children who are under 18 should also adopt the new faith.
Evlin Joseph, a Christian woman who lives in Duhok, said she was not aware of the regulation until recently.
"I am Christian. I am married to a Christian man. I have three Christian kids. My education was in our language. All my official documents are Christian. Our marriage is registered by the Church," she said.
Joseph’s parents divorced when she was 15. Her mother later married a Moslem man and converted to Islam.
"When I wanted to obtain my national ID card. They told me that my mother is Moslem and therefore I have to go to court," she said.
Sami Patros, Joseph’s husband, said the regulation affects their entire family.
At the national ID card office, "they said your mother-in-law had converted to Islam and therefore they said your wife should become Moslem, too. This also applies to my children, their religion should be changed from Christianity to Islam," he said.
Akram Mikhail, a lawyer who has represented many Christian cases in the courts, said he has seen many cases similar to Joseph’s and he believes the law contradicts the tenets of Islam.
"This forces someone to convert to Islam, with force. I am not an expert in Islam, but it is in Islam that one cannot force the religion onto others," he said.
The law also stipulates that if one spouse converts to Islam, then Sharia law is applicable. This means that Joseph does not have the right to marry a Christian man. The law also is applied to inheritance and custody.
Last week, the Catholic University in Erbil held a conference on the Personal Status Law. Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani attended and offered his support to the rights of the Christians in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Christians from across the wider Middle East region also attended.
Khaldun Saelayte, who came from Jordan, said Christians in Iraq are not given their full religious rights and he called on the authorities to enact a personal status law for Chistians.
Mohammed Nuqal, from Leb ...an Iranian satrapy currently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... , pointed out that unlike Iraq, Christians in Lebanon, Jordan and Syria have their own personal status law.
The conference concluded with several recommendations, including calling on Christian leaders to draft reforms to the Personal Status Law.
