Chicago is so unpleasant migrants are fleeing BACK to Venezuela after being dumped in shelters and refused jobs, with 20,700 border crossers so-far bused to Dem-run 'sanctuary city'
Wait for winter!
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Chicago has become so unpleasant that migrants are fleeing back to Venezuela after being dumped in shelters and refused better paying jobs.
Tell your friends not to come.
Since August last year, 20,700 migrants have arrived in Chicago from Texas. The Lone Star State's Governor Greg Abbott sent migrants to Chicago and other Democrat-run cities because of their proud status as 'sanctuary cities.' They offer enhanced protection against detention or deportation for undocumented migrants.

Now, Illinois' harsh winters, lack of migrant infrastructure, and ambivalent support from locals has made many people, who undertook the harsh US-Mexico border journey, actually turn around and go back home.

Venezuela-born Michael Castejon, 39, and his family have been sleeping on the floors of police stations and shelters after he could not afford to pay rent in Chicago - because his work permit was taking so long to arrive. The family was renting an apartment through a city voucher program, that gives up to $15,000 for up to six months of rental assistance - but once it ran out, they had to give up their living space. The dad found a job in construction, and he was getting paid in cash, but it wasn't enough to sustain his family since they arrived in June.

After five months of rough living with no end in sight, the family decided to pack up their belongings and return to South America, realizing that 'there's nothing here for us.'

Castejon said the failed journey to settle in the US had not been worth it, despite the extreme poverty and an authoritarian regime they were living under in Venezuela. After months of begging for money and crossing borders, the dreams that he had heard of from other migrants had failed to materialize for him, he revealed.

Michael Castejon, 39, told the Chicago Tribune: 'The American Dream doesn't exist anymore. There's nothing here for us.

'We didn't know things would be this hard. I thought the process was faster,' he said about the job permit situation in Chicago.

'How many more months of living in the streets will it take? No, no more. It's better that I leave. At least I have my mother back home.

'We just want to be home. If we're going to be sleeping in the streets here, we'd rather be sleeping in the streets over there.'

Castejon's stepdaughter Andrea Carolina Sevilla could not find a school to be enrolled in when they arrived in the US, despite one of the reasons they left their native home was to give her a better education.

This comes at a fraught time for Chicago and its residents.

Furious protesters stormed a Chicago City Council meeting last week during a debate about whether the city should remain a sanctuary for migrants. The meeting was called after 9th Ward Alderman Anthony Beale - who oversees a district in the predominantly-black South Side - proposed an advisory referendum that would ask voters during the March primary if Chicago should keep its sanctuary city status.

Progressives in Chicago are outraged that a move to end Chicago's status as a sanctuary city is even being considered for a ballot. But many of the city's residents - including a large number of those who are themselves ethnic minorities - are keen to end the Windy City's sanctuary city status.

Many residents expressed frustration about the millions of dollars the city was spending on migrant shelters instead of Chicago's most impoverished communities. As of September, there were about 20 active migrant shelters in the city. Seven were located on the historically underserved South and West sides.

More than 20,000 migrants have touched down in Chicago since last year. While most hail from Venezuela, they come from all over the world, including Africa, Europe and the Middle East.

The city has allocated $4 million to help migrants find temporary housing, and the state has contributed another $38 million.

Since August 2022, Chicago has opened its doors to tens of thousands of migrants sent by Abbott and non-government organizations in states such as Colorado and New York. The majority are seeking asylum 'due to US foreign policy that has created unstable economic and political conditions compromising their safety and forcing them to travel thousands of miles to safety,' the City of Chicago website reads.

It adds: 'U.S. cities have not traditionally had the infrastructure to resettle high numbers of immigrants and refugees. This is federal responsibility.'

#1  The ideal outcome for Chicago politicians! Migrants (customers of government services) are starting to leave while state and federal dollars are beginning to arrive. More opportunity for graft ... On top of that, by the time our new Tent Cities get built for Winter, it will be Spring and lots of dollars will have lined lots of local pockets.

#2  WOW ! why didn't the Conservative politicians use the LSD's own dumping ground tactics against them sooner?

Simply using the LSD process of Bussing & Dumping illegals into Liberal run Metros, quickly showed the world, that LSD's can't even run their own Metros safely.

#3  why didn't the Conservative politicians use the LSD's own dumping ground tactics against them sooner?

Because many of them are not "conservative," but "Stupid party." And because in those areas, the populace, even if unhappy with the new arrivals, treated them decently, as that's in our nature.

Liberals leftists can't pull that off. "Nice" is not in their nature.

American Jews not waiting for Biden promises: donations for Israel since 10/7 approaching $1 billion
Self-organizing is a Jewish habit since before Christ was born. But it’s not just Jews: see here to see some of what non-Jewish Americans are organizing to donate in the way of money, carefully considered goods in kind, and equally carefully targetted boots on the ground.
[IsraelTimes] Jewish organizations donate millions in emergency funds to support Israelis affected by war.
Ignoring inside baseball concerns about fundraising for domestic projects, here are the key facts:
Moving Traditions is a small Jewish organization with an unusual name and a mission that can be hard to describe on one foot. Working through synagogues, Hebrew schools and its own programs and curricula, it helps Jewish kids navigate their teen years in healthy, safe, appropriate and socially conscious ways.

When the Hamas
...a regional Iranian catspaw,...
attacks in Israel on October 7 threw the Jewish world into crisis, Moving Traditions created curricula to help teachers and teens talk about the conflict. And its CEO, Shuli Karkowsky, ordered up a "worst-case scenario" plan in case some of her reliable funders decided to hold back on their support and direct more money to Israel.

As they have during previous crises in Israel, American Jews are pouring dollars into Israel to support people displaced by the war, to bolster nonprofits whose employees are headed to the front and, in a newish twist, to defend both Israel in the court of public opinion and Jews abroad who are seeing an uptick in antisemitism.

War erupted after Hamas’s October 7 massacre, which saw some 3,000 gunnies burst across the border into Israel from the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip, killing some 1,200 people and seizing some 230 hostages. The vast majority of those killed as button men seized border communities were civilians — including babies, children and the elderly.

Jewish Federations of North America has raised $638 million among its network of local Jewish community chests. UJA-Federation, the largest of these, has so far allocated more than $38 million for work on the ground in Israel. Israel Bonds said it sold more than $200 million worth of bonds in the week following the Hamas attacks.
That’s $838 million just in this paragraph. Organizations like Magen David Adom that accept donations directly wouldn’t be included in these numbers.
Past crises have shaped Jewish priorities for generations. In response to the Six-Day War in 1967, American Jews donated more than $100 million — close to $1 billion in today’s dollars — in a little over two weeks. Six years later, when the Yom Kippur War punctured Israel’s aura of invulnerability, American Jews contributed $700 million in emergency aid, or $6.4 billion in today’s money. Both wars also cemented Israel as a central component of American Jewish identity, politics and philanthropy.

At the time, however, Israel was still viewed as a developing country, the historian Lila Corwin Berman points out. "For quite a while, Israel has been economically a fairly well-to-do nation and hasn’t needed American Jewish dollars in the same sort of fundamental way," said Corwin Berman, the chair of American Jewish History at Temple University.

Related from the New York Times on October 30th (paywalled): Israel’s Emergency Medical Service to Receive $88 Million in Gift Led by Michael Bloomberg: The former New York City mayor and billionaire philanthropist said he would match $44 million in donations from nearly 34,000 people.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Idris Yusupov held a picket in support of Palestinians
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] Journalist Idris Yusupov held a solo rally of solidarity with the Palestinians in the center of Makhachkala.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, journalist of the Dagestan publication "New Deal"  Idris Yusupov has been holding single pickets in the center of Makhachkala since November 6 in support of the residents of Palestine. In particular, he held such a picket yesterday, November 11. The action attracted the attention of passers-by, the journalist said.

The majority of residents of Dagestan empathize with the Palestinians , not only out of religious solidarity, but also for humanistic reasons, Makhachkala residents previously interviewed by the Caucasian Knot said.

Idris Yusupov held a single picket today at the intersection of Gamzatov and Dakhadayev streets in Makhachkala, Chernovik reported.

“The purpose of the picket is to draw the attention of society and the state to the actual genocide of the population taking place in the Gaza Strip,” says a publication on the publication’s Telegram channel. The publication is illustrated with a photograph in which Idris Yusupov holds a poster with the inscription: “Palestine, we are with you!”

Let us recall that Muslims of the North Caucasus reacted sharply to the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. In Chechnya, the clergy organizes daily mass prayers in support of Palestine; the Muftiate of Dagestan reported on October 28 that thousands of participants participated in prayers for the Palestinians. You can read about who and how in the North Caucasus expressed support for Palestine in the “Caucasian Knot” document “ Actions in support of Palestine in the North Caucasus .”

At the same time, from October 26 to 29, mass anti-Semitic actions took place in the cities of three republics of the North Caucasus Federal District. In Cherkessk, protesters demanded that visitors from Israel not be allowed in, and in Nalchik a cultural center was set on fire. In Khasavyurt, Dagestan, hundreds of people gathered at a hotel after messages on social networks that there were refugees from Israel in this hotel, according to the Caucasian Knot report “ Anti-Semitic actions in the North Caucasus: how it happened .” The Caucasian Knot has also prepared a report entitled “ A Wave of Anti-Semitic Actions in the North Caucasus.”

On October 29, mass riots occurred at Makhachkala airport due to reports of the arrival of a plane with passengers from Israel. More than 20 people were injured in the riots, including nine police officers. The criminal case of mass riots has been transferred to Moscow investigators. 201 people were detained for participation in the riots , administrative protocols were drawn up for 155 detainees, police reported on November 5.

The fighting between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement began on October 7 with the firing of hundreds of rockets into Israeli territory, including civilian targets and civilians. The Israel Defense Forces responded by launching a military operation against Hamas, after which Israel announced a blockade of the Gaza Strip: supplies of water, food, electricity, medicine, and fuel were suspended. Thousands of people died on both sides.

The Islamic movement Hamas  is recognized as terrorist , in particular, in the United States and the European Union. In Russia, the movement has not been declared terrorist, since none of its representatives have been convicted in Russia, the Prosecutor General’s Office said in response to a request from a deputy from St. Petersburg.

Europe
Tens of thousands 105,000 march in Paris against antisemitism, including political parties
[IsraelTimes] Tens of thousands of people march in Gay Paree at a rally against antisemitism that is being led by the heads of the lower and upper houses of the French parliament and two former presidents.

Marching at the head of the event are Yaël Braun-Pivet, president of the French National Assembly, whose father is Jewish, and Gérard Larcher, president of the Senate, who initiated the event following the proliferation of anti-Jewish assaults in La Belle France following Hamas
...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
’s onslaught against Israel on October 7 and the ensuing war.

Politicians and political parties from across the spectrum are participating in the march, ranging from the Socialist Party of former president Francois Hollande
...the Socialist president of La Belle France, an economic bad joke for la Belle France but seemingly a foreign policy realist...
, who is marching, to The Republicans of his right-wing predecessor Nicolas Sarkozy
...23rd President of the French Republic. Sarkozy is married to singer-songwriter Carla Bruni, who has a really nice birthday suit...
, who is also attending.

Marine Le Pen of the far-right National Rally is marching, but the far-left party of Jean-Luc Melenchon, La La Belle France Insoumise, is boycotting the event, calling it a reunion of "friends of unconditional support for the massacre" of Paleostinians in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, as he describes it.

Israel’s military action in the Gaza Strip following the October 7 onslaught, in which about 3,000 Hamas Lions of Islam killed some 1,200 people, has resulted in the death of more than 10,000 people in the Gaza Strip, according to Hamas officials in the enclave. The figure cannot be verified and is questioned by Israel and others.
Unverified and unverifiable — how many human shields and jihadis together are dead underneath buildings and in tunnels?
President Emmanuel Macron, who has condemned both antisemitism and anti-Zionism, is not attending, but he says in a statement that he "respectfully welcomes the those who march for the Republic, against antisemitism and for the liberation of the hostages."

His absence is widely understood to be part of an attempt at a more balanced approach toward Israel, which Macron visited last month on a solidarity visit in which he offered to help Israel defeat Hamas. Macron is not attending because "it’s too late and too partisan," Christophe Barbier, a former editor of l’Epxress daily, says on BFMTV about the march. "We’re a month after the tragedy of October 7, we’re past the emotional stage, we’re in the political one," Barbier says.
The Israelis say the war may take as long as a year, so there’s plenty of time for his excellency, President Macron to cycle through emotion again.
Earlier today, Macron called President Isaac Herzog to say he does not believe Israel is targeting civilians and that he recognizes its right to defend itself, in a clarification on his remarks to BBC Saturday in which he said: "Civilians are bombed — de facto. These babies, these ladies, these old people are bombed and killed. So there is no reason for that and no legitimacy. So we do urge Israel to stop."

The 1,000 antisemitic incidents that have been recorded in La Belle France over the past four weeks surpass the annual tally for such cases recorded in the whole of 2022, Braun-Pivet and Larcher wrote in an op-ed published last week announcing the march.

"Fear is setting in and threatens to become a daily reality unless we act," they wrote.
Update from the Times of Israel at 1:00 a.m. ET:
More than 180,000 people turned out on Sunday to march against antisemitism in France, after a surge in anti-Jewish incidents across the country in the wake of the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Police said 105,000 people had joined the Paris march, while interior ministry figures put the nationwide figure at 182,000. Thousands of people gathered at more than 70 events across the country, including in major cities Lyon, Nice and Strasbourg.

The same slogan was adopted nationally: “For the Republic, against antisemitism.”

Family members of some of the 40 French citizens killed in the initial Hamas onslaught, and of those missing or held hostage, also took part in the march.

France has recorded nearly 1,250 antisemitic acts since the attack.

Fifth Column
Dark money pass-though Arabella Advisors tied to group organizing anti-Israel protests
Progressive moneybags, Antifa-linked activists, and Arab anti-Israel groups practice intersectionality as they scream hate for the Joooooos together.
[NorthStateJournal] Arabella Advisors, a dark money charity pass-through group, recently cut ties with Alliance for Global Justice, a group that has been funding and organizing anti-Israel protests across the country.
Golly, what made them suddenly change their minds?
According to a recent report by the Washington Examiner, Arabella Advisor’s New Venture Fund and Windward Fund "steered $473,000 between 2020 and 2021 to Alliance for Global Justice, according to tax forms."

Arabella Advisors has a presence in North Carolina. The group opened an office in Durham in 2022 and a report issued by Arabella this past February showed heavy grant-making activity in North Carolina.

Global Justice Alliance has provided financial backing to the Samidoun Paleostinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, which the Washington Examiner has reported is "an Israeli-designated terror group that has shared staffers with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine."
That’s what pops up on the Rantburg archives, too.
Samidoun was designated by Israel as a terrorist organization in February 2021 and has been banned from operating in Germany as of Oct. 12, 2023.

Per the Samidoun website, the group is a "sponsored project of the Alliance for Global Justice, a 501(c)(3) Organization," however Alliance for Global Justice has been cut off on various online platforms from accepting donations such as PayPal and the Democrat’s preferred fundraising site ActBlue and now refers individuals to "write paper checks" addressed to its Arizona office location.

Alliance for Global Justice reported over $56.4 million in total revenue and $54,150,882 in total expenses on Form 990 tax returns covering Apr. 1, 2020, through Mar. 31, 2021.

According to 2021 tax filings, Alliance for Global Justice, the organization gave $292,257 as a "racial justice grant" to Blueprint North Carolina, the leader of a coalition of progressive and left-leaning groups in the state. Blueprint North Carolina gained attention in 2013 after a memo to its members was leaked to the media that called for them to "cripple" and "eviscerate" Republican leaders.

Samidoun describes itself as an "international network of activists building solidarity with Paleostinian prisoners," and has been cited as a main group behind anti-Israel and pro-Paleostine protests in recent weeks around the world following the terror attack on Israel by Hamas
...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
that took the lives of over 1,400 Israelis.

Samidoun-promoted protests have occurred across the United States and in North Carolina in cities like Raleigh. The Raleigh protests were circulated and promoted by an organization called "Migrant Roots Media" (MRM) on social media platforms including Facebook and X, formerly known as Twitter.

Accounts initially tagged by MRM on social media posts for the protests included the NC Party of Socialism and Liberation, Triangle Jewish Voices for Peace, Moslem for Women, Refund Raleigh, and Samidoun. In some posts, such as on MRM’s Instagram, the tags were later removed.

Per its website, Migrant Roots Media (MRM) says it is a "multilingual, multimedia platform that seeks to unearth the root causes of planetary migration through the voices of migrants colonists, children of migrants colonists, and those struggling to stay and thrive in their homelands."

"We strategically position intersectional voices so they can aid in advancing narratives and socio-political analyses concerning migration and other social issues," the MRM website says.

MRM is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 charity and is based in Durham.

Staff for the organization includes Founder and Executive Director Roxana Bendezú, a native of Peru with ties to Duke University’s Franklin Humanities Institute’s Social Movements Lab.

According to Bendezú’s bio, she has also participated in left-leaning organizations such as Charlotte’s local Sierra Club executive committee, Democracy North Carolina board of directors and the School of the Americas Watch national council.

Bendezú is also a member of an anti-Israel group known as Durham2Paleostine and in the past helped that group to organize protests and has served as the program director for Pax Christi USA, during which she was part of the "National March for Paleostine" that took place in Washington, D.C. in March 2021 where 67 anti-Israel groups called for the U.S. government to stop supporting Israel.

In May 2021, Bendezú published a "joint statement" on the MRM website calling on the Biden Administration to "Condemn Israeli government plans to Forcibly Displace Paleostinians in Occupied East Jerusalem." The statement was signed by 140 anti-Israel groups.

Other staffers also reside in the Durham and Chapel Hill area, such as MRM’s Chief Editor Alejandra Mejía, whose bio says she is "currently an assistant editor at Duke University Press."
Isn’t that nice. There’s an article I didn’t post about private Jewish high schools suddenly advising parents to look for colleges where their children will be physically safe, as so many of them are not any longer. Under the circumstances, this is good advice for non-Jewish parents as well.
MRM’s board of directors includes Loan Tran, a far-left activist known for her LGBT activism and role in the destruction of a Confederate statue in Durham by the Communist World Workers Party in 2017.

Other organizations Tran has been linked to include the Black Lives Matter protest groups Charlotte Uprising,
...a branch of Antifa, as I recall, or perhaps it was BLM...

Media in Panic Mode Over Questions About Whether They Knew in Advance About Hamas Attack on Israel
[PJ] On October 7, four photojournalists who provide reporting and photos for the likes of the Associated Press (AP), CNN, the New York Times, Reuters, and other outlets were allegedly at the Israeli border with Hamas terrorists who committed acts of atrocities against innocent Israeli civilians that shocked the world. Since an Israel-supporting news watchdog website reported the claim, everyone wants to know if these Gaza-based reporters knew in advance about the attack and, more importantly, if they could have saved lives by alerting the world about it. The question arises: Did the AP, CNN, the New York Times, and Reuters know about the Hamas terror attack in advance?

#1  To me the question is not whether they knew. The question is whether they were calling the shots: directing Hamas gunmen to produce the best movie.

#3  If it is true, that the Media embedded with HAMAS knew and failed to warn? Then the same Media falsely blamed Israel of what they themselves knew before hand?

Doesn't that demonstrate they also acted as a HAMAS propaganda machine and supported terrorism?

Then aren't those reporters guilty of supporting Terrorism themselves?

Question:
Since we have seen the MSM sued for even reporting proven voting machine facts and hacks (Fox News).

So how long before Israel and/or the Victims families SUE the Media groups involved for a number of things?

Report: Hamas got intel before Oct. 7 from Gazan day laborers working in Israel
[IsraelTimes] In its meticulous planning of the October 7 onslaught, the Hamas
...not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
terror group gathered some of its intelligence from Gazook day laborers who were allowed to enter Israel every day to work, The Washington Post reports, citing various intelligence officials from multiple countries.
"were allowed", as in: "that shit's over"
Many of the day laborers worked in the same communities that were targeted and ravaged by Hamas, with entire families shot, burned and mauled to death in their homes.

The report also says evidence gathered from maps and other equipment found on terrorists’ bodies shows that Hamas had intended for at least some of the infiltrators to make it all the way to the West Bank, to start a wider war.

Israel says 14,320 tons of humanitarian aid have entered Gaza since start of war
[IsraelTimes] COGAT, the Coordinator for Government Activities in the Territories, says that 14,320 tons of humanitarian aid have entered the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks.
Strip since the beginning of the war.

"There is no limit to the amount of food, water and medical equipment that can enter Gaza," COGAT says. "We invite the international community to coordinate and we will facilitate."

While aid has trickled into the Strip, humanitarian organizations say it is nowhere near enough.

Israel says Hamas
...not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
has stockpiles of fuel and supplies that it is keeping from an increasingly desperate civilian population.

#3  For $hits and Giggles ran some numbers:
778,187 Gaza Strip Population – Nov. 2023 est.
14,320 tons of humanitarian aidm which started Nov 3rd according various sources. So that's about 3.68 LBS adult, child and baby per day.

Question:
Does that include the much bragged in the media airdropped supplies by other Arab groups and nations also?

Posted by: NN2N1 || 11/13/2023 7:30 Comments || Top||

#4  As per earlier note...300 litres is about 60 gallons . Might be a day's worth of generator fuel.
Posted by: Skidmark || 11/13/2023 8:13 Comments || Top||

#5  NN2N1, where did you get 778,187 as the population of the Gaza Strip? The usual imaginary number quoted is 2.3 million.

There have now been two airdrops of supplies by Jordan — unexamined by Israeli inspectors, they proudly boast. So one can assume they aren’t sending only items on the approved list. I assume the 14+ tons mentioned is what came through the Rafah border crossing controlled by Egypt.

#7  The link in #6 shows the 2023 population at 778,000. But the last paragraph, Gaza Population Growth says -

Between 2000 and 2013 alone, Gaza grew by over 687,000. By 2020, the region will have 2.1 million people.

Seems we have both numbers in the same article!

#8  got. Gaza Population 2023

Looking at the link, that’s Gaza City, not the entire Gaza Strip territory.

Lots of imaginary numbers flying around whenever Palestinians are involved. They haven’t had real numbers since Israel stopped doing the counting.
