'Marines on the move in Middle East 'as a result of emerging events'
[FoxNews] The 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit 'are no longer in vicinity of Kuwait'.

A special operations Marine Corps unit participating in exercises expected to last through Oct. 22, departed early this week "as a result of emerging events," according to reports.

The spokesperson said the crew is now near Bahrain, though she would not say where they were heading out of concerns for operational safety. White’s statements did not confirm if the "emerging events" were a reference to the attacks in Israel and Gaza, the publication noted.

On Tuesday, the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group arrived in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea to "deter any actor seeking to escalate the situation or widen this war," according to a Tuesday press release from U.S. Command Central.

Niger military rulers order UN official out within 72 hours
[AFRICANEWS] Niger's military rulers have demanded that the head of the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
' diplomatic mission in the country leave within 72 hours.

In a statement dated October 10, Niger's foreign ministry accuses the UN of using "obstacles", to stop the west African nation from fully participating in last month's UN General Assembly.

Madam Louise Aubin has been in post since January 2021.

During the 78th session of the UN General Assembly held in September, a representative of Niger who was initially set to take the floor did not.

According to a diplomatic source cited by the AFP, the organization had received two competing requests to address the assembly: one from the military rulers and one from the toppled government.

At the time, the military leaders criticised "perfidious actions" of the UN Secretary-General António Guterres
...Portuguese politician and diplomat, ninth Secretary-General of the United Nations. Previously, he was the UN High Commissioner for Refugees between 2005 and 2015. He was the Prime Minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002 and was the Secretary-General of the Socialist Party from 1992 to 2002. He served as President of the Socialist International from 1999 to 2005. In both a 2012 and 2014 poll, the Portuguese public ranked him as the best Prime Minister of the previous 30 years...
, accusing him of obstructing their participation in the body's General Assembly.

In response, Stéphane Dujarric, the spokesperson for the UN chief said that "in the event of competing credentials from a member state, the UN chief refers the matter to the body's Credentials Committee, for deliberation." Adding the Secretary-General "does not deicide" on such a matter.

The 9-member committee reports to the Assembly on the credentials of representatives.

The body has for instance has postponed several times its decisions on Burma and Afghanistan. The two countries are still represented at the UN by the ambassadors of the former governments.

Egypt moves to prevent mass exodus from Gaza
[AFRICANEWS] Egypt is moving to prevent a mass exodus of Paleostinians from Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, as Israel's bombardment of the strip continued on Wednesday.

While Egypt has not officially commented on the situation at Rafah, state-run Ahram Online published a story on Tuesday citing a warning by high-level Egyptian security sources that the country "refuses to allow Gazooks to settle in Sinai", and urged Israel to instead provide safe passage for civilians.
To where? Nobody wants them
On Tuesday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi that the escalation in Gaza was "highly dangerous" and that Egypt was pursuing a negotiated solution to the violence with regional and international partners.

The United Nations
...boodling on the grand scale...
has said that more than 187000 Paleostinians are displaced in Gaza, which has a total population of 2.3 million people.
Total claimed population of 2.3 mil. I would not be surprised if it were actually as much as a million less.
The passage of people and goods in and out of Gaza is strictly controlled under a blockade enforced by Egypt and Israel.

Rafah is the only possible crossing point into Sinai from Gaza, with the rest of the strip surrounded by sea and by Israel, which announced a total siege of Gaza on Monday and could launch a ground offensive.

While there has been no sign so far of a mass exodus at the crossing, it remained shut on Wednesday with the Egyptian military taking up new positions close to the border to monitor the situation.

Egypt is particularly wary of a deterioration of the security situation in Sinai.

The area has the site of an Islamist insurgency that flared a decade ago. While the Egyptian military has largely asserted its control over northern Sinai in recent years, it still faces sporadic attacks.
Send ‘em to Iran. Iran paid for and pushed Hamas to attack, so they deserve to literally live with the results.

Nigeria halts all Christian pilgrimages to Israel
[AFRICANEWS] Nigeria has temporarily halted all pilgrimages to Israel. This move follows a surge in deadly hostilities over the weekend, disrupting the plans of eager Easter pilgrims.

Originally scheduled to depart for Israel and Jordan on Tuesday, the pilgrimage for a group of committed Christians has now been canceled until further notice. The Nigerian government's Christian Pilgrim Commission has confirmed this decision, emphasizing the prevailing uncertainty caused by the ongoing conflict.

Sunny Udeh, the commission's Director for Mobilization and Sensitization, shared his thoughts on the matter, stating, "The war has created uncertainties in our planning for the main pilgrimage in December... we do hope the hostilities will end before the end of the year." It is a sentiment that underscores the desire for peace in the region.

On average, approximately 18,000 Christian pilgrims from Nigeria embark on journeys to holy sites in Israel and Jordan each year. The commission's commitment to ensuring the safety of these Nigerian pilgrims remains unwavering, prompting them to closely monitor the situation in Israel.

The recent escalation in violence stems from an attack launched by the Paleostinian bad boy group Hamas

against Israel last Saturday. Tragically, the conflict has claimed the lives of at least 1,200 Israelis, with retaliatory strikes on the Gazoo

The Nigerian government has called for an end to hostilities and a ceasefire between Israeli forces and Hamas fighters. Their stance prioritizes a peaceful resolution to the conflict through dialogue.

It's worth noting that, despite the ongoing chaos in the region, commercial flights from Nigeria to Tel Aviv remain unaffected. The situation continues to be closely monitored, with hope for a swift return to normality and peace in the region.

Iran Makes $80 Billion in Illicit Oil Sales Under Biden
[American Greatness] The Islamic nation of Iran has made at least $80 billion off of illicit sales of oil since Joe Biden first took power in January of 2021, raising concerns about the regime’s possible funding of terrorist activities.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, the watchdog group United Against a Nuclear Iran (UANI) has been tracking Iran’s oil exports, as well as its fleet of oil tankers, discovering that many of these shipments have gone to China.

"Iran has generated approximately $80 billion in revenue from oil sales under the Biden administration," said Claire Jungman, a spokeswoman for UANI. Specifically, the nation’s oil exports have reached a five-year high under Biden, primarily due to the administration’s decision to ease many of the economic sanctions that had been placed on Iran by previous administrations. In August of 2022, Iran made roughly $44 billion in oil sales, a 77% increase from during the Trump Administration.

"With the resurgence of Iran’s primary revenue source, oil, into play, it’s paramount to recognize the substantial financial leeway they’ve gained through years of relaxed sanctions," Jungman continued. "This surplus not only sustained them but also significantly fortified their proxies."

Most recently, the Biden Administration negotiated a prisoner-swap deal with Iran that included unfreezing at least $6 billion worth of Iranian assets. Roughly one month later, the Islamic terrorist group Hamas carried out the largest and deadliest invasion of Israel in modern history, killing over 1,200 Israelis, with some suggesting that the massive invasion effort may have had external help from a nation such as Iran.

"This isn’t just about a $6 billion hostage deal," said Richard Goldberg, a former member of the White House National Security Council. "It’s about a $50-plus-billion nuclear protection racket that’s been going on since May."

Biden’s efforts to embolden Iran have led to bipartisan condemnation. In April, a statement was issued by a coalition of Democrats and Republicans in Congress, led by Senators Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), criticizing the Biden Administration for refusing to let federal agencies seize Iran’s illicit oil tankers, allowing the Islamic nation to continue making money off of such sales.

Israeli Director Ari Folman on Hamas Attack: 'Benjamin Netanyahu Is Responsible for All of This'
Leftist blame game in full swing.
[Hollywood Reporter] Israeli director Ari Folman, best known for his Golden Globe-winning animated feature Waltz with Bashir , has pinned the blame for the dramatic escalation in violence and bloodshed in his country on the Israeli prime minister.

Israeli TV Execs Cancel MIPCOM Plans Amid Hamas War Fears

"Benjamin Netanyahu is responsible for all of this," he told THR Roma , speaking of the surprise attack on Saturday by Palestinian terrorist group Hamas that reportedly killed more than 1,000 Israelis and has resulted in Israel bombarding Gaza, reportedly killing more than 900 Palestinians. "Of course he is not the only one, but he is primarily responsible."

Folman, talking over the phone from Israel, says he was on the beach at 6 a.m. on Saturday when the first reports of the attacks by Hamas came through.

"We couldn’t believe our eyes. The images we were seeing on television and social media are frightening," he said. "Hundreds of dead — children, women and the elderly captured and taken as hostages. It is a situation that no human being can, or ever should, tolerate."

The director, whose last animated feature Where is Anne Frank premiered in Cannes in 2021, claimed there was now deep skepticism about the government and the media.

Kibbutzim are communist, where all is owned and worked in common. It is my understanding that most failed once Israel’s economy improved and people could make a living on their own — and many of the rest survive as communist disneylands for the tourists wanting to relive that pioneer experience.

Moshavs are mixed, where the equipment is owned by the group, but the work is more individual.

Hamas, Israel And The Anatomy Of State Treason (video)
[Mercer & Vance] HARD TRUTH with David Vance and ilana mercer deconstructs Hamas's low-tech invasion into southern Israel and the massacre of hundreds of its civilians. Witnessed in Israel on October 7 was the forsaking by the State of its most elementary—and only—obligations to the citizenry: Defend their natural rights to life, liberty and property.

In a perspective like no other; HARD TRUTH examines the complete failure of the Israeli State apparatus, the IDF and intelligence community being the face of the State. We anatomize the backdrop to Hamas’ pogrom, including the geopolitical and domestic forces at play, as well as the fraught history of the Gaza strip. Ilana lived through the 1967 and 1973 wars in Israel; David through the 40 year IRA terrorist onslaught in Northern Ireland. Our hearts ache for victims of barbarians wherever they are. Nevertheless, examine we must the "ethics" of collective punishment by the State.

Communist Party US Sen. Bernie Sanders calls for 'restraint from Israeli forces attacking Gaza'
[BLAZE] Leftist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has issued a statement calling for "restraint" from Israel's forces attacking Gaza.

"Israel's blanket denial of food, water, and other necessities to Gaza is a serious violation of international law and will do nothing but harm innocent civilians," Sanders said in the statement.
In military terms, its known as a "siege." The idea is that not letting anything in encourages them to surrender. You know, like the Siege of Mariupol? Ring a bell, Bern?
"The United States has rightly offered solidarity and support to Israel in responding to Hamas’ attack. But we must also insist on restraint from Israeli forces attacking Gaza and work to secure UN humanitarian access. Let us not forget that half of the two million people in Gaza are children. Children and innocent people do not deserve to be punished for the acts of Hamas," Sanders declared.
"Children" = anyone under eighteen.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said, "Hamas will understand that by attacking us, they've made a mistake of historic proportions. We will exact a price that will be remembered by them and Israel's other enemies for decades to come."

'American Hostage Crisis II or Unfinished Iranian Business 2.0
[PJ] The Hamas terrorists have altered the playing field by taking at least 150 hostages during their invasion of Israel. But instead of two or three chairs at the negotiating table, there’s a great, big, 800-lb gorilla-sized chair set at the table as well.

Hamas, as any underdog is wont to do, wanted to expand the number of negotiators, knowing that bringing more heads to the table would bring it more concessions. And what better way to get enormous concessions than to take Americans hostage and, like the Iranians 44 years ago, use American sympathy for their countrymen to force the American president to pressure Israel to deal?

It’s believed that Hamas is holding at least 20 Americans. "I know that there are dozens — dozens, OK? — of Israelis holding American citizenship who are being held hostage in Gaza," said Israel’s U.N. Ambassador Gilad Erdan. If true, Hamas will have enormous leverage over Israel’s closest ally and benefactor.

The taking of American hostages has presented Israel with an impossible dilemma. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was preparing a ground assault to pulverize Gaza and end the Hamas threat once and for all. Now, he must stop and consider the consequences. Hamas has shown they will not hesitate to murder innocent civilians — Israeli or American — and celebrate their atrocities with barbaric glee.

Would they dare? The real question is, "Why not"?

Free Press:
"Hamas will use the hostages in two ways: as human shields and as a source of leverage over Washington," explained Michael Doran, director of the Center for Peace and Security in the Middle East at the Hudson Institute and a former senior director on the National Security Council. "As human shields, they will prevent Israel from destroying critical infrastructure. As a source of leverage, Hamas will convince Washington to compel Israel to make concessions—on the terms of a cease-fire, the release of prisoners, relaxing economic restrictions on Gaza, delivering payments from abroad, etc. Hamas will parade American hostages before the cameras to beg Washington to bring a halt to Israeli military operations so that the hostages can gain their freedom."
One of the biggest problems for the U.S. is that Biden has already shown he will pay ransom for hostages — about $1.2 billion a head during this last round of hostage buying. This gives Hamas every incentive in the world to drag out the process of returning our citizens. It may even give the terrorists an incentive to publicly execute a few Americans to put the screws on Biden to deal.

GOP lawmaker rescues Americans from war ordeal in Israel
Cory Booker[Sparticus] ran home.
[FoxNews] Rep. Cory Mills evacuated 32 Americans from Israel to Jordan, where they were able to book flights home

Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., successfully evacuated 32 Americans Wednesday who were stranded in Israel unable to find flights home, and he is planning to conduct a second mission in the coming days.

The Florida Republican told Fox News Digital he arranged, with help from the U.S. embassy in Jordan, for the safe passage of 32 Americans stranded in Tel Aviv after multiple airlines canceled flights, transporting them across the Jordanian border.

Mills said all the rescued Americans were able to arrange flights from Jordan to their homes in the United States.

"You know, for me, there's a statesman and there's a politician. One acts and the other one talks, and I just couldn't sit there knowing Americans were losing their lives," Mills told Fox News Digital.

Hamas Invasion, Day 5: Selected items from Times of Israel liveblog
This is just a quick overview of some of the things the Times of Israel thought merited reporting, mostly the headlines with a few more detailed pieces.
Al Jazeera footage claims to show woman, 2 children being released from captivity

Turkey’s Erdogan negotiating with Hamas for ~150 hostages’ release — Turkish media report

On Kibbutz Be’eri, evidence of horror everywhere
There is evidence in Kibbutz Be’eri that children were slain in front of their parents, Maj. Doron Spielman says. Knives were found left in some of the children.

Bodies are still being taken out of the kibbutz, which Spielman says will be remembered as a symbol of Hamas’s massacre, like Auschwitz is the symbol of the Holocaust.

Some 1,200 Israelis were slaughtered by the terror group, including over 100 at Be’eri alone.

Spielman says body parts of children were found, and they still do not know who they belonged to until they are matched with the DNA of living relatives.

Zaka search and rescue teams continue to work on finding and clearing bodies.

“It will take weeks to understand what happened here,” says Spielman.

In one of the homes, 40 civilians were held by 20 terrorists. The building was stormed by special forces, six of whom were killed.

A white bag lays on a walkway, the word terrorist sprayed in red on it. Inside is the corpse of a Hamas terrorist. There are over 100 others, scattered around the kibbutz.

All around are homes barely standing. Walls are collapsed, rooms are burnt and the smell of dead bodies wafts in the air.

IDF says 18 Hamas infiltrators killed in past day; army escalating strikes on Hamas
IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari says Israeli forces killed 18 Palestinian terrorists in Israeli territory during the past day, as sweeps continue to root out the last Hamas infiltrators.

Overnight alone, troops exchanged fire with terrorists near Zikim twice; a tank killed a terrorist near the Erez crossing; and paratrooper forces killed two terrorists near Mefalsim, he says.

“These are the same terrorists who did not flee back to Gaza. They are in hiding places, near the border. That’s why the scans are [taking place] with a large number of troops. There are tens of thousands of [IDF] fighters in the area surrounding Gaza,” he says.

Hagari says some 5,000 rockets have been fired from Gaza at Israel since Hamas launched its murderous attack on Saturday morning.

He says the army is continuing to strike with thousands of munitions across Gaza.

“We are not stopping; on the contrary, we are heading toward increased attacks. The top priority in the attacks is to eliminate senior [Hamas] officials,” Hagari says.

Rocket slams into Israeli hospital and supermarket in new wave of strikes from Gaza
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News]

Hamas

launched a fresh wave of rocket attacks in Israel this afternoon, destroying a children's hospital and a supermarket.
Without those two, the Zionist military capability is in ruins!
Shocking footage from the southern city of Ashkelon shows the Barzilai Medical Centre in ruins with the children's wing taking a direct hit.

's two million residents lost electricity as the enclave's sole power plant ran out of fuel and shut down.
My heart bleebs. Whatever that is.
The outage deepens the crisis inside the 140-square-mile territory, with Israeli forces lining up on the border ahead of a planned invasion.

The war has claimed at least 2,200 lives on both sides and is only expected to escalate further from this point. Humanitarian groups have pleaded for the creation of aid corridors ahead of the likely Israeli assault.

As fears mounted inside the enclave of an imminent assault, an Israeli defence official vowed that Gaza will become a 'tent city' with every building razed.

In the early hours, Israeli forces conducted 250 airstrikes in just one hour across northern and eastern parts of the Gaza strip in Dire Revenge for Hamas' terror attacks.

Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) front man Jonathan Conricus said they are sending 'infantry, armoured soldiers, artillery corps', plus 300,000 reservists 'close to the Gaza Strip to execute the mission that we have been given by the Israeli government'.

Mr Conricus added: 'That is to make sure that Hamas at the end of this war won't have any military capabilities by which they can threaten or kill Israeli civilians.'
There shouldn't be any Hamas or Islamic Jihad.
In another sign that an attack is imminent, Israeli officials have told residents living close to the border with Gaza to prepare to remain in shelters for 72 hours, and to stock up on food and water. Some have begun to evacuate.

Clashes between Israeli forces and Hamas have continued around the border, with fierce gun fighting between Israeli Border Guards and Hamas attackers in the southern cities of Sderot and Ashkelon.

A series of rocket salvos from Gaza also hit Sderot this morning, injuring at least one civilian and damaging five buildings.

, where Paleostinian Islamic Jihad fighters and Lebanon's Hezbollah had launched attacks and rocket strikes.

On Saturday, the armed wing of Hamas streamed across the Gaza border fence and launched a ruthless attack on unsuspecting soldiers and civilians in what EU chief Ursula von der Leyen has described as an 'act of war'.

At least 169 Israeli soldiers have been killed in fighting with Hamas, the army said on Wednesday. 'As of this morning, we've informed the families of 169 fallen IDF soldiers,' military front man Daniel Hagari told news hounds.

In Israel, the corpse count from Saturday's assault rose to 1,200 - making it the deadliest attack in the country's 75-year history, while Gaza officials reported more than 900 people have been killed as Israel pounded the territory with air strikes.

One key target was the al-Furqan neighborhood - so named after a mosque in the area - which defense officials said is a 'nest of terror' used by Hamas to launch attacks against Israel.

Hamas said two of its brass hats had been killed, while Israel's military said the bodies of roughly 1,500 Hamas infiltrators had been found.

Swathes of the densely-populated Gaza have already been reduced to rubble, photos emerging on Tuesday showed.

Images later emerged appearing to show trails of phosphorus munitions being used over Gaza - something Paleostinian sources had alleged. The use of such weapons in civilian areas is considered a war crime.

Yoav Gallant, the Israeli defense minister, said he has 'released all restraints' on the troops in their fight against Hamas.

'Hamas wanted a change and it will get one. What was in Gaza will no longer be,' he said, speaking to soldiers near the Gaza fence.

'We started the offensive from the air, later on we will also come from the ground. We've been controlling the area since Day Two and we are on the offensive. It will only intensify.'

Gallant promised to show no mercy to the terrorists.

'Whoever comes to decapitate, murder women, Holocaust survivors — we will eliminate him at the height of our power and without compromise.'

Fears of a regional conflagration have surged ahead of an expected Israeli ground incursion into Gaza.

Dozens were killed and hundreds maimed as Israel pounded the Gaza Strip with hundreds of air strikes overnight, a Hamas government official said Wednesday.

The strikes destroyed several buildings of the Hamas-linked Islamic University in Gaza City, a university official said.

The Israeli military confirmed it had hit dozens of Hamas targets during the night.

It said fighter jets destroyed 'advanced detection systems' that Hamas used to spot military aircraft.

They also hit 80 Hamas targets in the Beit Hanoun area of the northeastern Gaza Strip, including two bank branches used by the Islamist group to 'fund terrorism' in the enclave, the military said.

In response to Saturday's attack, Israel imposed a 'total siege' on Gaza, suspending supplies of food, water, electricity and fuel to the already blockaded enclave.

Today's airstrikes came as the barbarity of Hamas' attacks on Israel was becoming apparent, with ever-more savage behavior being described.

At the Be'eri kibbutz, 100 people - 10 percent of the population - were murdered.

David Ben Zion, Deputy Commander of Unit 71, told i24News that he had seen victims rubbed out in their beds.
