Afghanistan
Taliban Assault Residents and Torch Their Motorcycles in Ghor Province
[8am] In a recent incident, Taliban
...Arabic for students...
fighters carried out a violent mostly peaceful attack in Ghor Province, brutally assaulting several residents and setting their cycle of violences ablaze, as reported by local sources.

On Tuesday, September 5th, local sources informed Hasht-e Subh that Taliban fighters stormed the Sini area of the Pasaband district in Ghor Province, subjecting multiple residents to physical assault on charges related to the harvesting and sale of yam plants.

One local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that the Taliban fighters had been personally gathering yam plants from the mountains and profiting from their sale. However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable...
this activity has been met with resistance from the local residents, resulting in confrontations and violence against the populace.

Yam, a plant commonly found in the mountainous terrain of Ghor Province, has been exploited by the Taliban in recent years to manufacture a type of methamphetamine known as "shisha."

Despite their claims of having discovered and dismantled drug production facilities in Ghor Province following their takeover of Afghanistan, incidents such as the one in Pasaband continue to underscore the ongoing conflict and instability plaguing the region.

Internal Taliban Clash Erupts in Takhar Province; Two Fighters Killed

Local sources in Takhar Province have reported a fatal clash resulting in the deaths of two Taliban
...Arabic for students...
fighters, with another maimed. This incident sheds light on simmering internal tensions within the group.

The clash occurred on Thursday night, August 31st, within the confines of Qarildi village, situated in the Khaja Bahauddin district. It was rooted in disputes between two separate factions within the Taliban.

This violent mostly peaceful episode comes in the wake of a recent attack by Taliban fighters of Pashtun ethnicity on the residence of Nasrullah, a member of the Tajik ethnic group. Nasrullah served as the bodyguard of Qari Tayeb, the deputy leader of the Taliban’s army corps in Kabul. This attack took place within the same Qarildi village.

The skirmish resulted in the loss of two lives from opposing sides within the Taliban factions.

Sources suggest that the conflict was exacerbated by the recent return of Qari Tayeb’s bodyguard to his hometown after several months of absence, seemingly triggering the eruption of hostilities.

The sources have pointed to internal and personal disputes as the underlying catalyst for this event.

In a separate but related development, just a few days earlier, an internal clash between two Taliban factions in the Farkhar district of Takhar Province claimed the life of one Taliban member, leaving five others maimed, all hailing from Kandahar.

Returnees from Afghan exile: 2 return, 3rd assassinated, 4th detained

Local sources in Baghlan province have reported a tragic incident in which the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
assassinated an unarmed civilian. The victim, identified as Mohammad Amin, met his untimely demise on the night of Thursday, August 31st, in the village of Khawosh, Khost district, Baghlan province when he was fatally shot.

The Taliban have levied allegations against Mohammad Amin, accusing him of collaborating with the National Resistance® Front, which allegedly led to his brutal murder. However,
women are made to be loved, not understood...
sources within the area vehemently assert that Mohammad Amin had no ties to any military group and was an ordinary civilian.

It is important to note that Mohammad Amin had recently returned from Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
to reunite with his family in this village. This tragic incident follows the Taliban’s recent detention of 15 other unarmed individuals in the same district just yesterday, on charges of collaborating with the National Resistance® Front, subsequently incarcerating them.

Local sources in Takhar province have reported that the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
detained a former military officer upon his return from Iran.

According to sources speaking with Hasht-e Subh, the former military officer has been identified as Masoud. The Taliban apprehended him on Saturday, September 2nd, in the village of Khafdara in Farkhar district and transferred him to an undisclosed location.

Masoud previously served as the director of counter narcotics for the former government’s police force in Farkhar district, Takhar province.

As of now, the motive behind the Taliban’s detention of this former military officer remains unclear.

It is noteworthy that in recent days, the Taliban have escalated their actions, detaining former government military personnel and civilians in various northern provinces of the country.

Just two days ago, the group detained and incarcerated at least 40 civilians in Baharak district, Takhar province.

The Taliban have not provided any official response or justification for such actions.

...Arabic for students...
and ISIS fighters in the region.

According to reports from sources speaking to Hasht-e Subh, a confrontation took place on Tuesday, August 29th, between Taliban and ISIS in the vicinity of Sistan Township, Zaranj city, the capital of Nimruz province.

The armed clash reportedly lasted for nearly half an hour, according to the sources.

A source from Zaranj city has stated that following the clash, the Taliban detained five individuals on charges of being associated with the ISIS group.

No official reports regarding casualties on either side have been released thus far.

Somalia arrests army officers for abandoning frontlines against Al-Shabaab
[Garowe] A number of officers attached to the Somali National Army [SNA] have been arrested for allegedly abandoning frontlines against al-Shabaab
...... al-Qaeda's tentacle in East Africa...
, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has revealed, days after reports that the military may have withdrawn from a number of towns across the country.

While visiting Mahas within the Hiiraan region, President Hassan Sheikh insisted that those arrested will be facing court-martial soon, but did not reveal the exact number. A number of soldiers have reportedly abandoned Forward Operating Bases [FOBs] contrary to military ethics in the country.

For the last 10 months, the Somali National Army with assistance from the US Africa Command and the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Transition Mission in Somalia [ATMIS] has been pursuing al-Shabaab, killing thousands in the process. However,
Caliphornia hasn't yet slid into the ocean, no matter how hard it's tried...
a number of them have opted out, making the military struggle.

"We are aware of those who have left without permission," Hassan Sheikh told SNA soldiers in Mahas. "They have been arrested and will be subjected to court martial for abandoning their patriotic duties which they took the oath to perform without being coerced by anyone."

Following attacks by the al-Shabaab in Cawsweyne and Gal'ad, there are reports that some soldiers opted to withdraw making it difficult for the military to go on with the operations against the group across the country. Currently, most soldiers are combing Galmadug and HirShabelle states ahead of Operation Black Lion in Jubaland and Southwest.

The Operation Black Lion is geared towards eliminating al-Shabaab in strategic areas at Jubaland and Southwest states according to President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. The president is passionate about the elimination of this group which has stagnated the state-building process in Somalia.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Hubba Hubba Club, Nunzio wondered: Where the hell was Chumbaloni? And where was his $600?...
Minister of Defense Abdulkadir Mohammed Nur, while reacting to allegations by former HirShabelle President Mohammed Abdi Ware that his "wrong orders" have led to deadly terror attacks on the Galcad and Cawsweyne bases, says that there are people who want to derail the SNA operation who are spreading propaganda to discourage the soldiers fighting against al-Shabaab.

He called on the troops at the frontlines not to listen to the "misleading statements" aimed at lowering their morale that serve the interests of the "enemy". In a scathing attack, Ware accused Abdikadir Mohammed Nur of sabotaging the fight against al-Shabaab, which could trigger divisions in the presidency given that Ware serves as a special presidential envoy for civilian protection and stabilization.

Cameroon: At least three killed in attack blamed on separatist rebels
[AFRICANEWS] At least three people were killed in an attack blamed on separatist rebels in Cameroon
...a long, narrow country that fills the space between Nigeria and Chad on the northeast, CAR to the southeast. Prior to incursions by Boko Haram nothing ever happened there...
's southwest on Thursday. Witnesses said armed holy warriors stopped cars, shot at passengers and set vehicles on fire early on Thursday.

Two victims died when their car was set ablaze while a third was shot.

Curious residents gathered around the remains of a charred car in the village of Muea, in the South West region, on Thursday as two men pulled out a body wrapped in a blanket.

Separatists in minority English-speaking parts of Cameroon have been fighting to carve out an independent state called Ambazonia since 2017. They carry out attacks, kidnappings and killings in the North West and South West regions.

The attack took place just days after schools reopened from a long holiday.

Insurgents began fighting the Cameroonian military in 2017 after civilian protests calling for greater representation for the Frenchie-loving country's English-speaking minority were violent mostly peacefully repressed.

[SAHARAREPORTERS] Al Qaeda affiliate Jama'a Nusrat ul-Islam wa al-Moslemin (JNIM) group on Wednesday grabbed credit for an attack that targeted forces in Yatenga, Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other...

Rooters reports that the attack was the worst in months in the West African country that for years has been overrun by hardline murderous Moslems.

Burkina Faso has been battling gangs, some with links to al Qaeda and Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....

Attacks have worsened this year, making the country the epicentre of a violent mostly peaceful movement that has also engulfed poverty-stricken Mali and Niger, killing thousands and forcing millions out of their homes.

Turkey rescues 95 drowning refugees pushed back by Greece
[KhaamaPress] The Ottoman Turkish Coast Guard has announced that they rescued 95 refugees, including 39 Afghan refugees, off the coast of Ayvacik in Chanakkale.

Ottoman Turkish media outlets reported on Saturday that these refugees had been pushed towards Ottoman Turkish waters by the Greek Coast Guard.
In other words, Turkey had released them to continue their journey to Europe, but Greece returned them to sender.
The Ottoman Turkish Coast Guard emphasized that among the 95 rescued refugees, 39 were Afghan and 54 were Iranian citizens.

According to sources, these refugees were transferred to the "Ayvacik Foreigners’ Transfer Center" after going through legal procedures.

Previously, the Ottoman Turkish Coast Guard had reportedly rescued at least 23 Afghan refugees from drowning in the waters near Chanakkale.

This comes when the illegal migration of Afghan citizens and the deportation of refugees have increased. Reports indicate that The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
deported over 10,000 Afghan refugees in 2023, while more than 300,000 refugees live in Turkey.

Since the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
took control of Afghanistan, many people have left the country due to concerns about persecution, insecurity, threats, and a lack of economic opportunities and jobs. Most Afghan refugees relocate to neighbouring countries like Iran, Pakistain, and Turkey.

Upon arriving at their destination, Afghan refugees often encounter significant challenges. These challenges include issues related to documentation and legal documents, the risk of deportation, and experiences of mistreatment and misbehaviour.

Islamabad DC, 3 police officials indicted for contempt over PTI leaders arrest under MPO
[GEO.TV] The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday indicted Deputy Commissioner (DC) Irfan Nawaz Memon and three police officials including Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jameel Zafar in a contempt case pertaining to Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf
...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations....
(PTI) leader Shehryar Afridi and Shandana Gulzar detention under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) Ordinance.

On August 16, the IHC suspended the detention orders of the PTI leaders and ordered their immediate release.

Both leaders were held by law enforcement for their alleged involvement in the May 9 riots, which were triggered after the arrest of PTI chief Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the brightest knife in the national drawer...
earlier this year.

At the hearing today, IHC Justice Babar Sattar heard the case wherein DC Memon and SSP Zafar submitted their replies. Islamabad Advocate General Ayaz Shaukat also appeared before the court as prosecutor.

Shaukat offered an unconditional apology to the court on behalf of the accused. To this, Justice Sattar said that the "accused should spend some time in jail to understand the gravity of their actions".

DC Memon and SSP Zafar pleaded not guilty
"Wudn't me."
to the charges and also apologised unconditionally to the court, however, Justice Sattar reminded them that this case carried a maximum sentence of six months of jail time.

The court also indicted SP Farooq Buttar and SHO Naseer Manzoor with contempt of court, however, both denied the charges.

IHC appointed Lawyer Qaiser Imam as prosecutor in the case.

Afridi was first arrested from his Islamabad residence under Section 3 of the MPO Ordinance, 1960, on May 16. Despite a release order, he was immediately rearrested under the same section on May 30.

The PTI leader was then granted bail by the Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi bench on August 3. But his freedom was short-lived as Rawalpindi police once again took him into custody following his release from Adiala jail.

In response to his arrest, the former minister’s lawyer filed a plea in the IHC, requesting his release as well as the revocation of the MPO order.

Torkham border crossing closed for 2nd day after clashes between border forces
[Dawn] The Torkham border crossing between Pakistain and Afghanistan was closed for a second day on Thursday, leading to a build-up of trucks laden with goods, after festivities between security forces from the two countries.

The busy border crossing had closed on Wednesday after Pak and Afghan Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
forces started firing at each other, according to local officials.

Officials in Pakistain had blamed the other side for starting the midday firefight, which lasted for around two hours and came after the Afghan authorities started building a checkpoint on their side in a prohibited area, close to the main border crossing.

The officials said the Afghan authorities already had a checkpoint in the vicinity, commonly known as the Larram Post, but they started building another post over a small hill without discussing it with the Pak side.

They said border security officials had also held a meeting minutes before the crossfire began. However,
death is not the end. There remains the litigation over the estate...
it could not be ascertained what the meeting’s agenda was and what prompted both countries’ border forces to open fire.

Apart from the FC official, a Customs clearing agent had also been critically injured when he was hit by a speeding vehicle pulling back to safety after the firing started.

Abdul Basir Zabuli, a front man for the Taliban-led police in Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar
The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country..
province, where the crossing lies, said today that authorities from both countries were trying to determine the reason for the clash.

Irshad Mohmand, a local administration official in Pakistain, told AFP that Afghan forces tried to establish a checkpoint in an area where it was agreed that both sides would not establish a post.

"After an objection from the Pakistain side, the Afghan forces opened fire," he said, adding that Pakistain border forces responded with "retaliatory fire".

However,
death is not the end. There remains the litigation over the estate...
the Afghan Taliban government had blamed Pakistain.

"Pak forces attacked the Afghan side when Afghan forces wanted to reactivate their old outpost with an excavator," said Quraishi Badloon, an official for the information and culture directorate in Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar province.

"The attack has resulted in casualties, but the exact figures are not known yet," he said.

A local Pakistain police official told the news agency that the shooting stopped by late Wednesday afternoon, but the border remained shut, he said. "The atmosphere is tense" and "forces on both sides are alert", he said.

Another local government official said light and heavy weapons, as well as mortars, were used in the incident.

The crossing has been closed several times in recent years, including a closure in February that saw thousands of trucks laden with goods stranded on each side of the border for days.

It was also temporarily closed last month after a scuffle between the border guards of Pakistain and Afghanistan.

Both nations are in dire economic straits, with Afghanistan reeling from a drop-off in aid following the end of the US-backed occupation and Pakistain crippled by a domestic downturn and runaway inflation.

Since Political Change, Nearly 50 Clashes Happened on Border Areas: MoI

[ToloNews] Nearly 50 festivities have happened in border areas with the neighboring countries within the past two-years, a front man for the Ministry of Interior said.

MoI front man Abdul Matin Qani called on the neighboring countries to observe the border rules with Afghanistan.

"There have been some small and big festivities. You know that there have been festivities with Pakistain, Iran, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The total number is less than 50," he said.

Qani said that the festivities were first started by the neighboring countries and then faced reactions by the Islamic Emirate’s forces. According to him, at least 15 incidents of missile firing on Afghanistan by the neighboring countries have been recorded within the past two years.

"There are some problems from some sides. We call on the neighbors to not violate the land illusory sovereignty and airspace of Afghanistan. We don’t want to have negative relations with them. Some of the missiles which were fired (on us), we had a good reaction against it," he said.

Meanwhile,

the military analysts believe that the border festivities do not benefit Afghanistan and that the problems should be addressed through negotiations.

"If every country stays in line which is marked and doesn't come forward, there will be no border clash," said Mohammad Matin Mohammad Khail, a military analyst.

"The Afghanistan border forces have tried a lot to improve vibes particularly with Uzbekistan and Iran

and Pakistain. I think these problems are being solved gradually and will not happen in the future," said Kamran Aman, a military analyst.

Since the Islamic Emirate came to power, many festivities took place with the neighboring countries—an issue which has been also discussed at the senior level between the governments.

Militant behind Quetta Hazara killings arrested near Afghanistan border
[KhaamaPress] Pak intelligence agents apprehended a turban responsible for orchestrating multiple attacks on Quetta’s Hazara

community. The arrest occurred as he crossed the border near Afghanistan’s Spin Boldak town.

Abdul Bari, the identified turban, was captured en route to Quetta from Spin Boldak, as reported by Pak News International on Wednesday. It was revealed that Bari was unaware that his movements were being monitored, as he intended to visit his family in Mastung.

The captured turban had evaded authorities due to his involvement in the assassinations of Pakistain’s Hazara community in Balochistan

province. This included the brutal attack on coal miners in the Mach area of Bolan district, located approximately 50 km from Quetta.

In January 2021, 11 Hazara coal miners were brutally beheaded, their hands bound and blindfolded. This horrific incident prompted the Hazara community to stage protests, urging then-Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan

to ensure their safety. Khan eventually visited, and the victims were laid to rest.

They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
—Khorasan Province (ISKP) grabbed credit for the attack in January 2021. This incident followed a year marked by violence against the Hazara community in Quetta, where they have endured "deliberate and systematic murders for the past two decades," as highlighted in a study published in March.

According to Pak media reports, Pakistain’s intelligence agency, the ISI, was responsible for monitoring the activities of Abdul Bari, who had settled in border areas of Afghanistan after 2021. The agency was awaiting his return, as Abdul Bari intended to reunite with his family members in the Muzaffarabad region of Pakistain.

Abdul Bari eventually left the border areas of Afghanistan for Muzaffarabad, Pakistain, where his family resides, and was unaware that his movements were being monitored by Pakistain’s intelligence agency, the ISI.

On returning to Kuwait, he was detained at Spin Boldak, Afghanistan. The exact date of his detention is unclear, but the news became public on Wednesday.

This individual has been involved in at least five brutal attacks targeting Hazaras in Pakistain, either as a perpetrator or the master plan of these attacks. Among these incidents is the murder of 11 miners in 2021 in the Balochistan province of Pakistain, where all the victims were Hazaras. Abdul Bari played a significant role in organizing these five attacks.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan seizes villages, kills 6 soldiers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
[KhaamaPress] On September 6, Tehrik-e-Taliban
...Arabic for students...
Pakistain (TTP) launched a large-scale military offensive called ’Operation Malakand’ in Chitral district, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, targeting Mighty Pak Army posts. The attack resulted in casualties among Pak soldiers, with reports of fatalities and injuries. TTP additionally asserts control over multiple villages in the area.

The attack commenced early in the day, as confirmed by a TTP commander during a telephone interview with The Khorasan Diary. According to the commander, the operation in the Chitral district began at 4 AM (Pakistain time) and has captured multiple villages. However,
it was a brave man who first ate an oyster...
due to ongoing internet connectivity problems, sharing visual documentation is currently challenging for the TTP.

In a conversation with The Khorasan Dairy, a senior Pak security official refuted the TTP’s assertions, stating that the terror group has not captured any areas.

In a statement to local media, TTP front man Muhammad Khurasani urged citizens to stay calm, emphasizing that their conflict was directed solely at the Mighty Pak Army, which he described as "usurping" and "oppressive" security forces. This statement coincides with Pakistain’s observance of its Defence Day on Wednesday.

Khurasani reassured the people of Chitral, emphasizing their safety, stating, "You should remain calm. No harm will come to you. Our war is against usurping and oppressive security agencies," local media outlets reported.

Unconfirmed videos circulating on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), suggest that Pak SSG commands have been deployed to Chitral in response to reports claiming that around 500 TTP snuffies have taken control of several villages in the region.

Multiple social media accounts, including those of well-known journalists with expertise in Pak affairs, have reported festivities between Pak forces and TTP along the Durand Line, leading to the temporary closure of the Torkham border crossing.

The Mighty Pak Army has refuted any casualties, whereas TTP snuffies assert that they have killed six Pak soldiers.

The Pak media has notably refrained from covering the TTP’s significant offensive against the Mighty Pak Army. The TTP, also known as the Pakistain Taliban, declared war on the military in November 2022, aiming to establish Sharia laws in Pakistain similar to the Afghan Taliban’s rule in Kabul. This resurgence of terror activities in Pakistain is linked to long-standing support for terror outfits by the military and establishment.

According to UN reports, the TTP collaborates closely with al-Qaeda and is implicated in numerous lethal attacks throughout Pakistain. Recent incidents include the deaths of a Pakistain Army Major and a soldier during an intelligence operation on September 2 in a northwest tribal district bordering Afghanistan. Moreover, just two days earlier, nine Pak soldiers were reportedly killed in a TTP suicide kaboom in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

Moment crazed man who tried to open the emergency door and punched a steward during a flight to London is tackled and put in a headlock by brave passengers
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] This is the moment a crazed man who tried to open a plane's emergency door and punch a steward was tackled to the floor and put into a headlock by brave passengers - all while at 30,000 feet.

The incident unfolded on a flight travelling from Tel Aviv to Luton airport on Monday that was forced into an emergency landing in Belgrade, Serbia.

Victor Troboloni, 45, tackled the troublemaker after he attempted to force open the emergency doors and went to punch a male flight attendant, The Sun reports.

Troboloni was able to subdue the man by putting him into a headlock, in a scuffle that was captured on video by another passenger onboard.

Frightening footage shows the man screaming as Troboloni pulls him to the floor of the Wizz Air aircraft, before flight attendants secured his arms with cable ties.

'He tried to open the fire exit, he was sitting at the back and it's easy to open a fire exit, just pull the handle and that's it,' Troboloni told The Sun Online.

'I got the guy down. He was very heavyweight... I headlocked him and the stewardesses tied his hands with plastic cable ties... I had to do it'.

'I held him for 10 minutes, he got out of breath, he got tired, he was tied up for 45 minutes to 1 hour before we landed in Belgrade.'

Troboloni told The Sun that the attacker shouted 'Allahu Akbar' repeatedly throughout the incident, although this was not picked up in the video.
Sudden Jihad Syndrome.
With several other passengers helping, Troboloni is able to restrain the man until the stewardess secured his arms. Only then does the heroic passenger lets go.

Once secured, a group of passengers then appear to move the man to the side of the aisle for the rest of the flight, which made an emergency landing in Belgrade.

Troboloni told the publication that he saw the man acting unusually throughout the flight, pacing up and down the gangway to the pilot's cabin and back.

The 45-year-old, a plane engineer originally from Albania who was on his way to visit his unwell mother in St Albans, said it appeared the man was 'looking for weak points on the aircraft' and checking seat numbers.
