5,300 Migrants Apprehended in Four Days in Arizona Border Sector
Guess the Rio Grande floaties are working.
[Breitbart] Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended nearly 5,300 migrants during the past four days, according to a law enforcement source. The sector continues to lead the nation in migrant apprehensions following a recent shift from the Texas-based border sector.

During a four-day period ending July 24, Tucson Sector agents apprehended 5,281 migrants who mostly crossed the border illegally between ports of entry. A large percentage of the migrants crossing the border in this sector are not seeking to surrender and seek asylum.

The week before, agents apprehended approximately 9,000 migrants, Tucson Sector Chief Patrol Agent John Modlin tweeted.

During the month of June, Tucson Sector agents apprehended 24,360 migrants who crossed between ports of entry. This brought the year-to-date total for the sector to 234,667 migrant apprehensions. In comparison, agents apprehended only 195,115 during the same period last year. The numbers are up significantly from the totals in FY20 and FY21.

The Tucson Sector is the only non-Texas-based southwest border sector showing increased migrant apprehensions this year over last.

In the five Texas-based border sectors, agents apprehended just over one million migrants during the first nine months of FY22. This year’s apprehension of nearly 908,000 migrants represents a more than 11 percent drop.

The drop follows increased border security measures by Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star, Breitbart Texas reported.

“Governor Abbott launched Operation Lone Star in March 2021 to fill in the dangerous gaps created by President Biden’s reckless open border policies,” Andrew Mahaleris, press secretary to Governor Greg Abbott told Breitbart Texas. “States like Arizona are following President Biden’s lead, allowing even more migrants to surge into our country while Texas is holding the line.”

“Under Operation Lone Star, Texas National Guard soldiers and DPS troopers have apprehended over 393,000 illegal immigrants, repelled more than 49,000 illegal immigrants, seized over 422 million lethal doses of fentanyl and over 8,000 weapons, and arrested over 31,000 criminals – all of which would have otherwise made their way into communities across Texas and our country thanks to President Biden’s open border policies,” Abbott’s press secretary concluded. “Until President Biden steps up and does his job, Texas will continue utilizing every tool and strategy to respond to this border crisis.”

Afghanistan
Daily Evacuation Brief July 26, 2023
[AfghanDigest] LAST 24 HOURS
  • TALIBAN BEGIN ENFORCING BEAUTY SALON BANS – The ban officially went into effect yesterday and initial reports from locals say the shops in their neighborhoods remained shuttered. While some salon owners promised to oppose the ban and keep their shops open, the violent dispersal of protests against the ban may have caused many to remain cautious.

  • RESISTANCE FORCES BECOMING MORE ACTIVE – The National Resistance Front reportedly launched three coordinated attacks spanning three Provinces yesterday and says they have launched operations in five additional Provinces over the last seven days. The NRF has adopted a more conservative approach in 2023 and does not publicize its operations as they were wont to do in 2022. It is too early to tell if the recent activity may indicate a larger campaign may be underway. There were indications in the Spring that a major campaign season was to be undertaken but the offensive never quite got off the ground. Some analysts speculate this may have been a strategic decision to let the international community take the full measure of the ‘new’ Taliban.

  • JOURNALIST IRFANULLAH BIDAR RELEASED – Bidar was reportedly taken outside of a Mosque in Jalalabad on 12 July by unknown men. Information after the abduction pointed to the Taliban as the ones who had ordered his arrest. Specifically, the General Directorate of Intelligence. The circumstances leading up to his arrest are still unknown. A family member confirmed his release on either Sunday or Monday.

  • US SECRETARY OF STATE CHATS WITH QATARI AND PAKISTANI COUNTERPARTS – The focus of the group call was Afghanistan and both the humanitarian crisis and the political situation were discussed.

  • AFGHAN REFUGEES PROTEST UNHCR IN ISLAMABAD – Another group gathered outside of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees offices in Pakistan to protest a lack of support. The primary grievance voiced to reporters was the slow case progression and local sources say the partner NGO the UN office uses in Pakistan routinely asks for bribes to begin processing a case. Protestors said the delays in processing their cases place them in a difficult position as they are unable to work and the struggle to extend their Pakistan visas leaves them at the mercy of unscrupulous police and government officials who sometimes attempt to extort ‘fees’ from them. The Taliban continue to call on Afghans in Pakistan and elsewhere to return home but those with female family members say that is not an option.

CONFLICT TRACKER
Nuristan: NRF forces claim to have conducted an early monring operation in western Nuristan against a Taliban patrol. 3 Taliban were reportedly killed and 1 was wounded. 2 vehicles were destroyed as well.
Laghman: An action in the Char Bagh area reportedly resulted in the death of 1 Taliban fighter.
Nangarhar: An operation in the Dara-ye Noor district reportedly wounded 1 Taliban and destroyed a Taliban security vehicle.

NEXT 24 HOURS
FLOOD RISK WILL PERSIST BUT LANDSLIDES POSE ADDITIONAL THREATS – Forecasters are now predicting that rains will persist in locations across Pakistan and Afghanistan until Sunday. The prolonged saturation exponentially increases the risk of landslides along roadways and populated areas adjacent to hills and mountains. Flooding will continue to pose the primary risk of loss of property/life. However, travelers and inhabitants in areas close to hillsides/mountain slopes with steep grades remain at risk as well. Slopes that have had timber harvested over the last few decades are particularly prone to such events. The moderate geologic activity in the region could serve as a catalyst for a large slide.

Senior officers arrested in Somalia over suicide attack in army base, death toll confirmed at 30
Follow up to this story from yesterday.
[Garowe] The government of Somalia has arrested at least three military officers in connection to Monday's deadly al-Shabaab
...... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
attack at a Somali National Army [SNA] training base in Mogadishu, officials said, in what could give a clue to what may have transpired during the incident.

Monday's attack at Jaalle Siyaad Military Academy left at least 25 members of the Somali National Army dead, with authorities confirming that those who died were mainly trainees from Lower Shabelle. Dozens of officers were critically injured during the attack, which caught security officers unaware.

Those arrested, officials said, include a military Colonel, which is a senior rank within the army, not just in Somalia but within other military jurisdictions. The identity of the officials is yet to be disclosed, officials said, in what would help authorities to conclude investigations.

Two security sources confirmed the arrest to VOA. There is a possibility of more arrests as authorities seek answers about what happened, as Somalia seeks to restore order and normality amid the ongoing drawdown of troops attached to the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Transition Mission in Somalia [ATMIS].

Investigators are particularly interested in finding out who assisted the bomber in getting inside the base, security officers told the Voice of America. There are claims that senior military officials may have aided the al-Shabaab gunnies in accessing the heavily fortified base, which is used for sophisticated training.

The attack came at the time the government of Somalia was plotting the second phase of operations against al-Shabaab, a group that has been fighting to topple the fragile UN-backed federal government of Somalia. The second phase of operations against the group will focus on Jubaland and Southwest.

Initially, the government did manage to spearhead a military campaign that targeted HirShabelle and Galmadug states, leaving close to 3,000 al-Shabaab gunnies dead. The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia, the US Africa Command, and local militia were responsible for the operations.

Somalia has indicated that its troops are ready to assume security responsibilities from the ATMIS team which has been serving since 2007, but Monday's attack exposed gaps within the national troops. At least 15,000 new soldiers have been recruited and trained by friendly nations to serve the purpose, authorities confirmed.

Death toll up to 30 in Somalia military base bombing

's suicide kaboom at a military training base in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia has hit 30, authorities confirmed, with nine more soldiers succumbing to their injuries in Monday's deadly attack which has been claimed by the al-Qaeda linked group.

The bombing on Monday targeted the Jale Siyaad military academy, popularly known as the 14th October army training center, which is located in Mogadishu. This was one of al-Shabaab's latest successful attacks against the military in Somalia.

"We have confirmed 30 dead and 73 others injured from the blast at the military training camp," said one army officer, who asked to be identified only as Major Abdullahi. A second military source confirmed the same corpse count.

The victims hailed from the Lower Shabelle region and had come to the capital for training, said Captain Ali Farah, who knew some of them. He said he was aware of 10 deaths so far, Aljazeera reports.

"The soldiers were being counted in the queue when the jacket wallah went kaboom!," Farah said.

UN says Shaboobs kidnapped 9 aid workers kidnapped
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that nine humanitarian workers were kidnapped in three separate incidents -- two in Southwest State on June 23 and one in Hirshabelle State on June 5.

"These abductions were reportedly carried out by al-Shabaab
...... the personification of Somali state failure...
, but the reasons remain unknown," OCHA said in its latest humanitarian access update issued in Mogadishu.

In response to these incidents, local elders took the initiative to negotiate to secure the safe release of the kidnapped workers and five of them have so far been released under undisclosed terms and circumstances, OCHA said, noting the second quarter saw a significant decline in movement restrictions as a reported access constraint.

According to OCHA, movement restrictions were imposed for several reasons including military operations, bureaucratic impediments, interference, politically driven decisions, and internal security concerns among humanitarian agencies.

OCHA said the most reported access constraint during the reporting period was interference in the implementation of humanitarian activities.

Peace talks for Sudan's western region of Darfur held in Lom
[AFRICANEWS] After more than 100 days of violence and destruction can Sudanese warring powers choose peace?

A top envoy to Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces on Monday (Jul. 24) said it was "time for peace".

Youssef Ezzat made his remarks in Togo where he was attending talks aimed at preventing Sudan's Darfur region from sliding deeper into war.

"We're all looking for peace. The Sudanese people are looking for peace," xx conceded.

"Sudanese people are suffering from war for decades in regions like Darfur, in Blue Nile, in South Sudan and East Sudan and now in the capital in Khartoum, so this is the time to end the war and to start a new future for Sudanese people, peace, development, justice and equality. That's what we are looking for and I think it's time for peace in Sudan."

Ezzat added his side would participate in any "kind of meeting for peace and bringing people together, and stop the war in Darfur and in Sudan."

On the frontline, fighting showed no sign of abating on Monday.
Not even a hudna? Okay, then.
CREATING A ROADMAP TO STOP VIOLENCE
A representative from a key Darfur rebel faction attending the Lomé talks, welcomed the creation of roadmap.

"To prevent the region from plunging into a state of chaos. It is now in a state of chaos but not in a full fledged civil war."

"That's what we are trying to avert, that is why we put a roadmap and an action plan where we could follow through that and work with other community leaders, other leaders within Darfur, even within Sudan itself."

Darfur, in western Sudan, saw some of the worst bouts of violence in the conflict.

In the early 2000s, the region another bloody war which it it never fully recovered.

The representatives in Togo's capital discussed ways of reopening Darfur's El-Geneina airport under RSF control, to bring in humanitarian aid.

The Togo talks came after rights campaigners in Darfur blamed the RSF and allied Arab militias for reported atrocities in their stronghold there, including rape, looting and the mass killings of ethnic minorities.

#1  "The Togo talks came after rights campaigners in Darfur blamed the RSF and allied Arab militias for reported atrocities in their stronghold there, including rape, looting and the mass killings of ethnic minorities.
The Khartoum military dictatorship has certainly learned by now how to use propaganda. The RSF is led by Muslim Zaghawa, an ethnic Minority. The Zaghawa of Darfur, along with the Fur, suffered constant attacks by elements commanded by Nile Arab officers. Reports out of Khartoum continually use the term "RSF and allied Arab militias." However, the Arab militias are never noted. The phrase is used to cover the fact that what is occurring is an Arab-African struggle to end Nile Arab control of the Sudan's periphery. "Mass killings of ethnic minorities" is a mendacious claim used by the Khartoum military to cover its years of attacks on Darfur's ethinic minorities. "Peace"is a nice thought, but regretfully as long as Nile Arabs control the military it will never occur.

Protests in Tunisia mark two years since presidential power grab
[AFRICANEWS] Over 300 people rallied in Tunis on Tuesday to mark the two-year anniversary of President Kais Saied’s adoption of sweeping powers by suspension of Parliament.

Members of the opposition coalition, the National Salvation Front, erupted into the streets to ask the released of some 20 detained figures of the party, alongside media and business figures charged for conspiracy against state security.

"It is the culmination of a multifaceted failure in all areas, be it constitutional, legal, institutional, economic, social or human rights
When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much...
, and everything related to freedoms, control and the use of the judicial power and management of the files of political opponents. In recent months, it (these failures) has had a very strong impact on the lives of citizens through the interruption of water and electricity, and the scarcity of necessities," explained Samir Dilou, Vice President of the National Salvation Front.

Former minister Lazhar Akremi and Chaima Issa were released earlier this month, but others remain in jug despite the appeals of numerous human rights groups, such as Rached Ghannouchi, leader of the Ennahda party.

"This is a political crisis which is characterized by the presence of political prisoners, party leaders and a speaker of parliament in prison. This is the state of the system and what it has brought upon us. A return to the establishment of a system of fear through political arrests, as well as by Circular 54, which restricts freedom of expression and also attacks the freedom of the media. This is what the July 25 regime has achieved in its two years of rule," shares Imed Khemiri, spokesperson for Ennahdha
...the Muslim Brotherhood in Tunisia, so of course he would object to anyone else holding power...
member of the National Salvation Front.

The balance sheet of the past two years leaves much to be desired.

While the parliament was engaged in incessant jousting, the economy collapsed, leading to inflation, declining growth, an exodus of investors and shortages of essential items.

Europe
Denmark: Quran desecration outside Turkey, Egypt embassies enrage Muslim; Iran sez Momika is Mossad recruit
And so they all get heart-stirring exercise in the fresh air and sunshine — win-win!
[GEO.TV] Just a day after demonstrators desecrated the Holy Book in front of the Iraqi embassy in Denmark, more copies of the Koran were burnt in front of the Egyptian and Ottoman Turkish embassies in Copenhagen Tuesday, anguishing Moslems all over the world.

In a statement indicating clean-chit to the perpetrators of such acts under so-called freedom of speech, Denmark and Sweden said they deplore the burning but cannot prevent it as it falls under rules of "protecting freedom of speech".

Protestors last week, lit up the Swedish embassy in the Iraqi capital Baghdad as a response to the unholy act, which enraged billions of Moslems, according to a Rooters report.

Tuesday's demonstration in Copenhagen by a group called "Danish Patriots" followed Koran burning
...One of the basic tenets of Islam is that once a Koran has been printed it is expected to last for all time, no matter how old, ratty, and smelly other, lesser holy books may become. Should it actually become necessary to put a Koran out of its misery there is a ritual that includes extensive charivari, featuring long drawn-wailing and head bonking, ritual wife beating, and the sacrifice of dozens of women's noses and pubic lips. When the actual disposal has been completed there is a prescribed period of celebratory gun sex with the expectation of a minimum of two hundred casualties. Should actual infidels dispose of a Koran, Islamic custom calls for three weeks of rioting and a minimum of three dozen dead, which is a holdover from the days of Moloch worship....
s the group staged Monday and last week in front of the Iraqi embassy. Two such incidents have taken place in Sweden over the past month.

Iraq's foreign ministry Monday called on authorities of EU countries to "quickly reconsider so-called freedom of expression and the right to demonstrate in light of the Koran burnings."
No.
The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
Monday said it strongly condemned what it called a "despicable attack" on the Koran and called on Denmark to take necessary measures to prevent this "hate crime" against Islam.

The Egyptian foreign ministry Tuesday summoned Sweden's charge d'affaires to condemn the desecration of the Korans.

"People benefit from an extended freedom of speech when they demonstrate," University of Copenhagen law Professor Trine Baumbach told Rooters, explaining Danish laws.

"It does not just include verbal expression. People can express themselves in various ways, such as through the burning of items."

The organizer of Monday's demonstration in Copenhagen stomped on the Koran and set it alight in a tin foil tray next to the Iraqi flag on the ground.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
...the very aged actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini...
said Saturday that people who desecrate the Koran should face the "most severe punishment"

Weeks earlier, Pope Francis
...Argentine liberation theologist, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio. He was elected pope in 2013. Rather than setting up shop in Avignon, where he belongs, the first Jesuit Pope chose to reside in the Domus Sanctae Marthae guesthouse instead of the papal apartments. He is big on climate change, against consumerism, and in favor of throwing a blanket over homosexual activity within the clergy. He's not real sure about the Resurrection, about Christ's divinity, and a few other things that would have gotten him burned at the stake a few hundred years ago, but he's hot for a certain South American Earth Mother Goddess...
also condemned the burning of the Holy Koran in Sweden, in June saying that the vile act had "angered and disgusted" him.

"Any book considered holy should be respected to respect those who believe in it," the pope said in an interview with the United Arab Emirates newspaper Al Ittihad.

"Freedom of speech should never be used as a means to despise others and allowing that is rejected and condemned."
Courtesy of badanov, RIA Novosti adds:
The radical group "Danish Patriots" held the second action of the day with the burning of the Koran in Copenhagen, broadcast was conducted on Facebook.

On Tuesday afternoon, Reuters reported that five members of the same association burned a sacred book at the Egyptian diplomatic mission.

The second action took place near the Turkish embassy.

In addition, the day before, two representatives of the "Danish Patriots" set fire to the Koran in front of the Iraqi diplomatic mission.

At the end of June in Stockholm, during the celebration of Eid al-Adha, a resonant action took place with the desecration and burning of the Koran. It was arranged by Salvan Momika, a native of Iraq. This caused a wave of indignation in the Muslim world, which was condemned by Algeria, Afghanistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Uzbekistan and other countries.

As emphasized in the Russian Foreign Ministry , the impunity of the participants in this incident can lead to unpredictable catastrophic consequences. Vladimir Putin, during a visit to the Juma Mosque in Derbent, said that disrespect for the Koran is considered a crime in Russia and that the country intends to always adhere to these legislative rules.
And this bit of excitement from Shafaq News:
The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence on Tuesday claimed that the Iraqi refugee, who allegedly burned the Koran and the Iraqi flag in Sweden, was recruited by Israel's Mossad, Israel's national intelligence agency, four years ago.

The refugee, named as Salwan Momika, is said to have initiated contact with the Israeli agency.

Iran's Tasnim News Agency quoted a ministry statement alleging that Momika worked for Israel and committed the sacrilege as part of a mission assigned to him by the Mossad, to divert Moslem public opinion from the atrocities committed against the Paleostinians.

The statement further claimed that Momika attempted to establish a party, the Democratic Syriac Union, inside Iraq in 2014, positioning himself as the official representative and spokesperson for the Christian community in northwest Iraq.

The Ministry's statement noted, "Momika, known for deceit and aspiration for leadership, failed in establishing his alleged party and decided to migrate to Europe. He applied for residence visas from various European countries, but was unsuccessful."

"Momika put forth considerable effort to establish contact with Israel, offering his services to the Israeli spy agency," the statement continued.

He reportedly positioned himself as an opponent of Iraq's Shia, claiming he were tossed into the calaboose by the "Iraqi resistance" due to his ties with Israel and his efforts to form a Christian party in Nineveh province.

"Momika, in order to prove his loyalty and obedience to Israel, photographed himself wearing a kippah - a small, round brimless cap worn by Orthodox Jewish men - along with the Israeli flag and the flag of his alleged party, the Democratic Syriac Union, sending these images to Israel," the ministry said.

The statement alleged that Momika was officially employed by the Israeli spy agency in 2019, assigned tasks such as spying on Iraqi resistance headquarters and its leaders, particularly in Nineveh province.

Upon completion of his service to the Israeli intelligence agency, he reportedly sought asylum in one of the European countries. This time, his application was accepted by Israeli officials considering him prepared to offer any service in return for European residence. Consequently, he was granted Swedish citizenship, described by the Ministry as "Israel's backyard."

The Iranian Ministry's statement suggested the timing of Momika's actions in Sweden, along with Israeli operations within the West Bank, particularly in the city of Jenin, indicates the intention of such practices is to divert the Islamic public opinion from the massacres occurring there.

The ministry added that this heinous crime is added to Sweden's record of Islamophobia
...the irrational fear that Moslems will act the way they usually do...
, and its insistence on confronting sacred beliefs and offending the feelings of more than two billion Moslems worldwide.

The statement concluded that the outrage and condemnation by millions of Moslems worldwide will have profoundly negative impacts on Sweden, far exceeding the blood-stained reward it has received from Israel in return for this service.

The Grand Turk
Four Syrians suffocated in smuggling truck en route to Europe
[NPASyria] Four people from Qamishli, northeast Syria, tragically suffocated in a secret compartment inside a smuggler’s truck in its way to Europe.

A relative of one of the victims informed North Press that the all four were from Qamishli, two from Jil Agha (al-Jawadiyah) and the others from Girke Lege (Maabadah).

"The incident took place on the road linking between The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
and Greece and the people are 25-year-old Muhammad al-Omar, Agid Abbas, Wa’el Rassoul, and Fahed al-Taher," the source added.

Relatives of victims attributed the cause of death to suffocation, saying that all four were concealed inside a secret compartment within the truck. This resulted in the immediate suffocation and death of two of them, while the other two were initially treated but also passed away in a Ottoman Turkish hospital.

Turkish soldiers beat Kurdish villagers in Hakkari: Sources
[Rudaw] Villagers have accused Ottoman Turkish border guards of beating up and arresting four young Kurdish men in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
’s southeast province of Hakkari (Colemerg) on Tuesday.

Cebar Tas from Navberojan (Yesilova) town told Rudaw English that four villagers, aged 16 to 20, had taken their livestock to the outskirts of their village, to an area where they often graze their animals near the Kurdistan Region border. While there, a group of soldiers approached them and began beating them for unknown reasons.

"Hearing their cries, the villagers rushed to their aid and rescued them. After realising that their act was being filmed, the soldiers stopped beating them," Tas, who is a cousin of the four victims, told Rudaw English.

Footage submitted to Rudaw English appears to show six soldiers standing over a number of people who are lying on the ground. When the soldiers realise they are being filmed, they gesture at the person holding the camera to stop.

The villagers were able to rescue the four men and took them to a medical center to be examined by a health professional, but the soldiers returned and arrested all four. They are currently being held at a local military post, according to Tas, whose son was briefly arrested in 2021 on the charge of insulting President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important...
in a video on social media.

Ottoman Turkish authorities have not commented on the incident. Rudaw English reached out to the governor’s office for comment.

An eyewitness spoke to Rudaw English on the condition of anonymity. He said that the incident took place at dawn.

"When their cousins tried to rescue them, the soldiers shot near their feet and used tear gas to disperse them," he said.

This is the second time in a week that soldiers have arrested people from the village. Three days earlier, three other villagers were beaten and arrested by soldiers, again for unknown reasons, according to the eyewitness.

"This is not a prohibited area but only 100 metres away from the village," said the eyewitness.

When Ottoman Turkish forces carry out operations against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), they routinely impose curfews and prohibit people from entering certain zones. There are currently no known military operations ongoing in the area near the village.

In footage seen by Rudaw English, one of the villagers has a bleeding wound in his side. And a photo submitted shows an image of locked away
Book 'im, Mahmoud!
Kurdish politician Selahattin Demirtas on a phone case. His face in the image has been scratched out.

Rudaw English could not independently verify the authenticity of the footage.

Turkey says soldier killed in clashes with PKK in Duhok, PKK sez they got 3
[Rudaw] The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) on Tuesday claimed to have killed three Ottoman Turkish soldiers in the Kurdistan Region, a day after Ankara announced the death of one of its soldiers following festivities with the gang.

The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
’s defense ministry on Monday said one of their soldiers was killed in the "Operation Claw-Lock" areas that cover the Metina, Zap, Avashin, and Basyan areas in Kurdistan Region’s Duhok province.

The PKK claims to have killed three Ottoman Turkish soldiers and damaged two helicopters, according to reports by media affiliate Firat News Agency (ANF).

Ankara has in the past few years intensified its campaign to eliminate the presence of PKK fighters around its borders, launching several operations in the Kurdistan Region as well as Syria where it claims to target proxies of the group.

In 2019, Turkey launched Operation Claw against the PKK in Khakurk. This was followed by Operation Claw-Tiger in June 2020. The third edition of the offensive was a ground and air cross-border operation, dubbed Operation Claw-Lightning and Operation Claw-Thunderbolt, launched in April 2021 focused on the PKK’s positions in the Kurdistan Region’s Duhok province.

Israeli military kills 3 alleged Palestinian gunmen in volatile West Bank
[An Nahar] The Israeli military said it shot and killed three alleged Paleostinian button men in the northern occupied West Bank on Tuesday, the latest bloodshed in one of the most violent mostly peaceful stretches of the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict in years.

Israeli security forces said they shot up Paleostinian bandidos turbans who had shot at them from a car in the West Bank city of Nablus, the territory's commercial capital and a major focus of the Israeli military's recently stepped-up raids. In the hilly neighborhood of al-Tur shortly after the shooting, Israeli forces inspected a shattered black Skoda surrounded by spent bullet casings.

Paleostinian media described the Israeli killing of the button men as an ambush following the bad boys' attempted attack on Israeli forces near a Jewish settlement overlooking Nablus. The Israeli military said it confiscated three M-16 rifles and other equipment from their car.

Israeli-Paleostinian fighting has surged in the territory, which Israel captured from Jordan in the 1967 Mideast war. Paleostinians seek the occupied West Bank, along with east Jerusalem and the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip, for a hoped-for future state.

In recent months, the West Bank has witnessed a volatile mix of the rise of local armed Paleostinian groups carrying out frequent shooting attacks against Israelis and near-daily Israeli military raids that have increasingly turned deadly. Earlier this month, Israel's most forceful incursion into the West Bank in nearly two decades killed 12 Paleostinians and one Israeli soldier.

Heightening tensions, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's far-right, ultranationalist coalition has rejected talks with the Paleostinian leadership, sought to expand Jewish settlements in the West Bank and pushed for a more aggressive response to Paleostinian bad boy attacks.

Late Monday, Paleostinian bandidos turbans said they shot up a bus carrying Israeli settlers near the Paleostinian town of Hawara, just south of Nablus, without causing casualties. The Israeli military said it was setting up checkpoints to search for the suspects. A little-known gang from the area calling itself the "Dawn Brigade" grabbed credit for the shooting.

So far this year, over 150 Paleostinians have been killed in the West Bank — the highest corpse count in over a decade. Nearly half of them were affiliated with bad boy groups and killed in fighting during Israeli military raids, but stone-throwing youths protesting the incursions as well as innocent bystanders have also been killed.

Paleostinian attacks targeting Israelis have killed at least 25 people this year.

3 Palestinian Hamas gunmen killed by IDF during attack on Samaritan community near Nablus
[IsraelTimes] Military says suspects arrived by car to small town in northern West Bank, shot up forces outside

Three Paleostinian button men were killed by Israeli forces while attempting to attack a small Samaritan community in the northern West Bank on Tuesday morning, the military said.

The exchange of fire took place in the Mount Gerizim area, just south of Nablus, and close to the Jewish settlement of Har Bracha. The area is home to a tiny community of Samaritans, known as Shomronim in Hebrew.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, a car with the three button men arrived in the area, and one got out and shot up troops of the 603rd Combat Engineering Battalion who were guarding an army post next to the entrance gate to the Samaritan community.

The IDF said the troops "engaged and neutralized" the button men. According to Paleostinian media reports, the three were killed. The Paleostinian Authority health ministry said it was notified of the men’s deaths, indicating their bodies were being held by Israeli authorities.

Surveillance camera footage from outside the Samaritan community showed the exchange of fire.

Three assault rifles, a handgun, and other military equipment were found in the button men’s car, the IDF said.

No soldiers were hurt in the incident.

The attack came hours after Paleostinian forces of Evil shot up a bus carrying Israelis in the West Bank town of Huwara on Monday night, without causing injuries.

Hamas says 3 gunmen killed attacking Israeli forces were members of military wing

[IsraelTimes] The military wing of the Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", terror group claims responsibility for an attack on Israeli forces near the northern West Bank city of Nablus this morning.

In a statement, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades says the three slain button men — Noureddine Tayseer al-Ardah, 32, Montaser Bahjat Ali Salameh, 33, and Saad Maher al-Kharraz, 43 — were members.

Al-Qassam says it honors the trio who carried out the attack at the entrance to a small Samaritan community, calling them "fighters" and "heroes of the heroic Nablus operation."

No soldiers were hurt in the attack.

Group leader affiliated with government forces killed in Daraa
[NPASyria] On Tuesday, unidentified button men rubbed out a leader of one of the gangs affiliated with the Syrian government forces and injured another person accompanying him in eastern Daraa Governorate.

A local source told North Press, "The so-called Ismail Qaddah, also known as Smiggle, was shot and killed by unknown button men in the town of Umm al-Maiathin in the eastern countryside of Daraa. Another man called Muhammad Rouhi Almufalani who was accompanying him was injured."

The source added that Qaddah served in the ranks of the armed opposition before forming a group and joining the government forces in Daraa in 2018. He then joined the ranks of the government forces’ Eighth Brigade, which is affiliated with the Military Intelligence branch.

The source explained that the Eighth Brigade fired Qaddah and his group months ago, adding that it is suspected that Qaddah and his group are involved in smuggling and promoting drugs in the eastern countryside of Daraa.

Qaddah’s group had previously participated with the group led by Fayz al-Radi in festivities against members of the Eighth Brigade. Qaddah was injured and arrested by the Eighth Brigade and was released after a few days, according to the same source.

Daraa Governorate has been living in a state of chaos since the government forces entered it in 2018, with liquidations and robberies taking place on a daily basis, in addition to turning into a hub for drug trafficking.

In July 2018, the opposition armed factions and Syrian the government forces reached a ceasefire agreement mediated by Russia in the opposition-held areas in Daraa. An exclusive source told North Press that HTS members raided the house of Abu Dujana al-Fransi, Abdurrahman al-Muhajir and Abu Suhaib, and took them to the interrogation center in the city of Sarmada, north of Idlib, under the pretext that there is evidence that they had exchanged information with the US-led Global Coalition.

Turkish-backed SNA shoots 3 people in Syria’s Raqqa
[NPASyria] Militants of the Ottoman Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, also known as the Syrian National Army (SNA), shot at three individuals on Monday in the northern countryside of Raqqa, northern Syria, while trying to cross to areas held by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).

The three individuals were shot in the village of Eywa north of the M4 Highway in the northern countryside of Raqqa, which is under the control of the SNA factions.

An exclusive source, who preferred not to disclose his name due to security concerns, told North Press, "After being shot by SNA murderous Moslems, the injured were taken to Tel Abyad Hospital and were put under surveillance of the armed factions."

The city of Tel Abyad and its countryside, north of Raqqa on the Ottoman Turkish border, have been under the Ottoman Turkish occupation and the SNA factions’ control since 2019 following a military operation dubbed "Peace Spring" that pushed away the Syrian democratic Forces (SDF) under the pretext of protecting the Ottoman Turkish national security.

The three individuals were forcibly deported from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
in the past days and were heading to enter AANES-held areas through smugglers.

Two of the injured were identified as Aboud al-Shammari from the city of Hasakah and Shukri Haj Hussein from Deir ez-Zor. They were shot at by holy warriors affiliated with Ahrar al-Sharqiya under the excuse of entering a military zone.

There are three crossings between AANES-held areas and SNA ones that are used for transporting people, duel and goods, which are Awn al-Dadat, Umm Jloud and al-Hamran in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

Iran arrests group of Baha’i, accusing them of spying for Israel
[IsraelTimes] Iranian authorities have arrested several followers of the Baha’i faith
...the Unitarians of Islam...
accused of spying for Tehran’s arch-foe Israel, local media in the Islamic Theocratic Republic reports today.

The Bahais, Iran’s largest non-Moslem religious minority, are not recognized by the state and often targeted over alleged ties to Israel — home to their most important shrines and world headquarters.
The Baha’i get picked on for stubbornly continuing to be a heretical offshoot of Islam even with almost two centuries of being shown the error of their ways. They’re accused of spying for Israel because the Baha’i big guy was exiled by Persia toward the end of the 19th century, ending up in Haifa — which later became part of Israel.
"A number of members at the core of the Baha’i spy party have been arrested in Gilan province" in Iran’s north, says Fars news agency, citing an intelligence services statement.

Fars reports the group was alleged to have links "with the Zionist center known as Bayt al-Adl located in the occupied Paleostinian territories," referring to the Baha’is’ Universal House of Justice in the coastal Israeli city of Haifa.

The report doesn’t specify how many had been arrested.

The intelligence services also accuse the group of "promoting Baha’i teachings" particularly among children, according to Fars.

Iran, where Shiite Islam is the state religion, recognizes some minority faiths including Christianity, Judaism and Zoroastrianism.

Baha’is, however, are branded "heretics" by the Islamic Theocratic RepublicIn August, authorities arrested a group of Baha’is and 12 more followers the following month, all on similar charges relating to alleged links to Israel.

Baha’is consider Bahaullah, born in 1817 in modern-day Iran, to be the latest prophet sent by God and founder of their monotheistic faith.

The group has complained of discrimination in Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
since the emergence of their faith in the second half of the 19th century, well before the 1979 Islamic revolution.

The Baha’i community claims to have more than seven million followers worldwide, including some 300,000 in Iran.
