Escambia County SWAT assists Ronnie Clark break long history of criminal activity (thrilling drone FMV)
[Breitbart] Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons held a press conference Monday in which he showed video of a SWAT team member shooting a 58-year-old alleged hostage taker who was armed with a knife.

The alleged hostage taker, 53-year-old Ronnie Clark, had "58 felony convictions," FOX News reported. Deputies found "him in a tent with a woman being held against her will" about 5 p.m. Sunday.

A five-hour standoff ensued, with negotiators trying to get Clark to release the woman. But Clark was allegedly holding a knife to the woman’s throat and ignored police requests.

Sheriff Simmons noted, "This tough guy has got her as a human shield."

Video taken by a police drone showed deputies close in on Clark and a muzzle flash is evident when one of the SWAT team members takes Clark out.

ABC WEAR 3 published the video:

MoI: '4000 Hectares' of Poppy Fields Destroyed
[ToloNews] The counter-narcotics department of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said that so far it has destroyed 4,000 hectares of poppy fields in the country.

Hasibullah Ahmadi, head of the MoI, added that the process of destroying poppy fields is ongoing in Badakhshan, Kunduz, Takhar and Faryab provinces.

"About 4000 thousand hectares of land have been cleared of drug cultivation in the center and provinces of the country," Ahmadi noted.

The Kabul Security Command reported that after the Islamic Emirate returned to power, more than 1,000 people were arrested in connection with drug trafficking and its sales in the capital.

"1000 suspects have been arrested and turned over to the law in Kabul. These were the narcotics sellers and smugglers," said Kabul security department front man Khalid Zadran.

Some farmers whose poppy fields have been destroyed asked the current government to provide them with alternative crops.

"We ask the current government to provide us with an alternative to opium cultivation and help us because our children are dying of hunger," said Wali Mohammad, a resident of Uruzgan.

The counter-narcotics department of the Ministry of Interior (MoI), said that based on the surveys of recent years, there are between 3.5 million and 4 million drug users in the nation. The MoI has recently begun a new survey on the matter.

Daily Evacuation Brief May 9, 2023
[AfghanDigest] LAST 24 HOURS
  • TALIBAN URGES TALKS TO RESUME BETWEEN PAKISTAN AND THE TTP – The Afghan Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi called for a new round of talks between the TTP and the Pakistani Government after the conclusion of the Trilateral conference in Islamabad. Muttaqi reiterated that the Taliban do not have as much influence over the TTP as many seem to think. Whether this is true or not, the Afghan Taliban did play an important role in talks during the ceasefire and are justifiably terrified of having a regional or international terrorism event traced back to the country.

  • AFGHANISTAN’S FROZEN FUNDS REMAIN A LIGHTENING ROD – China and Russia continue to press the US administration for the release of the frozen Afghan funds. Their respective motivations likely have nothing to do with the welfare of Afghans and more to do with sniping at the US for sanctions and flexing its economic muscle. Such was the case after the Trilateral conference in Pakistan where both the Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and China used their turns at the podium to once again demand the funds be released. The US appears unwilling to do so for a myriad of reasons, the main one being it represents leverage over the Taliban. However, a geopolitical factor that is likely influencing the US stance is the recent diplomatic triumph China achieved by brokering the rapprochement between Iran and Saudi Arabia. The announcement of the deal in Beijing sent shockwaves through Washington DC and is largely considered an embarrassment for US prestige abroad. The bottom line is, the US is unlikely to bow to these demands in the near future, no matter how many calls are made.

  • IRANIAN BORDER FORCES SHOOT AND KILL AFGHAN TEENAGER IN NIMROZ PROVINCE – Several news outlets reported an incident that occurred on 7 May in the Province where Iranian border guards fired at a group of Afghans who were reputedly attempting to cross the border illegally at night. The young man who was killed, named Najib and from Badghis Province, was killed by a stray bullet. Local sources say that illegal crossings have become increasingly dangerous in 2023.

  • MAN SETS HIMSELF ON FIRE IN KANDAHAR OVER FINANCIAL DESPAIR – A 25-year-old man poured fuel on himself and set himself on fire near the Patyal cemetery in Kandahar City on Monday, 8 May. Friends of the man said he was distraught over his economic situation and the lack of prospects for work. The man was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

CONFLICT TRACKER
Kabul: Pro-Taliban reports on Twitter say that Taliban security forces have engaged suspected ISIS-K militants in or two districts north of Kabul (Shakar Dara or Mir Bacha Kor). No official confirmation of the operation(s) has been provided and there are no current reports of casualties,
Baghlan: Several reports of a clash between Taliban and NRF forces in Khost district have been received, It is thought the latest clashes are a continuation of the fighting that was reported yesterday. Sources reported that 4 NRF fighters had been killed and 8 Taliban personnel were also killed in the clashes that lasted approximately 16 hours.

NEXT 24 HOURS
TALIBAN SECURITY OPERATIONS/SEARCHES TO CONTINUE IN BAGHLAN – As hostilities between the NRF and Taliban have reportedly concluded, Taliban GDI agents are expected to widen searches in and around the Khost District. Early reports indicate the searches are intended to find weapons caches and to intimidate local citizens so they report Resistance sympathizers. Scattered reports say that between 50-100 men and boys had been rounded up and taken to an undisclosed location in the Province. Based on the intensity and duration of the clashes, we expect the searches to continue throughout the week. Activity on pro-Resistance social media accounts has picked up significantly over the last two weeks and many observers expect an increase in Resistance combat operations in May and June.

Mogadishu: Security officials foil planned attack on Peace Park

Security officials today thwarted an attack by suspected al-Shabaab
...... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
Death Eaters on Peace Park in Mogadishu.

The National Intelligence Agency (NISA) officials who conducted the operation said the suspects had planned to plant explosives at the park and that another gang had planned to enter the park and attack civilians.

The Security officials trailed the activities of the suspects after learning about their plans to carry out the attacks which targeted civilians visiting the park and intended to sabotage businesses operating at the area.

The government has gained ground in its war with the Islamist insurgency al-Shabaab, mainly in central Somalia. Most of the progress is due to Mogadishu’s leveraging of local discontent with al-Shabaab to form alliances with clan militias.

Senior Al-Shabaab leaders captured in Somalia
[Garowe] Three senior al-Shabaab
...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
members are the latest victims of the state, the government of Somalia has announced, following the latest crackdown within the fragile Galgaduud area in central Somalia where the murderous Moslems have been in control for the last couple of years according to security forces.

The government announced that the senior al-Shabaab murderous Moslems were arrested in the Sudan area where they are believed to have planned a series of attacks against the government forces, senior government officials, and members of security forces who have been working hard to secure the country.

Sunday's operation targeted Hul Adur and Halaney areas within Eldheer District of Galgaduud region, the government confirmed in a statement. The operation comes before the second phase of a crackdown against the murderous Moslems who control large swathes of rural central and southern Somalia.

Those arrested include Abdi Mohammed, Ali Abgalow, and Mohamud Alasow who are said to have been responsible for collecting bribe money from public vehicles traveling within the Galgadud region. al-Shabaab makes millions of dollars from extorting innocent business owners.

"The army has been looking for the three of them, who were hiding in the Hul-Adur area, for the past few days," said a statement from the Somali government, noting that the individuals will be subjected to the military court for prosecution as required in the law.

Officials from government forces in the Eldher district added that they would continue operations against al-Shabaab in the Galgaduud region of the Galmudug
...a semiautonomous region in central Somalia, bordering Puntland on the north. Galmudug is not trying to obtain international recognition as a separate nation, but rather considers itself autonomous within the larger Somali federalism, for what that's worth...
administration. Galgaduud witnessed the crackdown in the first phase which left slightly over 3,000 murderous Moslems dead according to the government of Somalia.

Last week, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud announced that the second phase of operations against al-Shabaab will target Jubaland and Southwest with soldiers from Kenya, Djibouti, and Æthiopia who are not serving in ATMIS expected to join. The soldiers, he said, will serve for a period of three months.

The European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
and the US have pumped resources into the country which are helping the government to install civilian administration in areas that have been liberated. It is anticipated that the money will help in the drilling of clean water projects among others across the country.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Muslim Unity Activist Denies Accusations, Claims Threat of Torture
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited
[KavkazUzel] Nijat Aliyev, an activist of the Muslim Unity movement,
...MMU for short, also in our archives as the unregistered Movement for Muslim Unity — no doubt an artifact of the translation. They describe themselves as a peaceful Shiite Islamic socio-political movement that calls for democratic reform and religious liberties, but it’s clear from context that they mean the peace that comes from submission to Khomeini Shiism and Iran...
said in court that drugs were planted on him after his arrest. Aliyev agreed to the seizure of drugs under video recording under the threat of rape with a rubber truncheon, his lawyer said.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a member of the Muslim Unity Movement (MMU) Nijat Aliyev was detained on December 1 in the village of Masazir, a representative of the organization called his detention unreasonable. On December 6, it became known that Aliyev was charged under a criminal article on drug trafficking.

On January 25, 2017, the leader of the Muslim Unity movement, Taleh Bagirzade,
...also known as Bagirov, in his youth the Azerbaijani Shiite studied theology in Iran, then came home to found the Movement for Muslim Unity, translatable as Al Tawheed. He was sentenced to 20 years for murder, terrorism, organization of mass riots, illegal possession of weapons, and attempted forcible seizure of power, because he led the festivities. Authorities accused him and the Muslim Unity Movement of planning an armed insurrection against the state, claiming they’d thrown Molotov cocktails and opened fire on the police officers during a 2017 raid, in their interpretation of Khomeinism...
and 17 of his supporters were sentenced to terms of 10 to 20 years on charges of organizing riots after the operation of the security forces in November 2015, which resulted in the death of seven people, including two policemen, says the reference of the "Caucasian Knot" Nardaran.

The defendants complained of torture and pleaded not guilty. Azerbaijani human rights activists recognized the defendants in the "Nardaran case" as political prisoners. Subsequently, some of the convicts  were released  on pardon and the end of their term.

The case of the arrested Muslim Unity activist is at the stage of judicial investigation, on charges of illegal defense of drugs on a large scale (Article 234.4.3 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan), he faces five to 12 years in prison. At today's court session, Nijat Aliyev answered questions from the defense, his lawyer Shahla Gumbatova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent .

The lawyer spoke about the circumstances of Aliyev's detention on December 1. The activist lived in the village of Masazir, where he was detained and taken to one of the units of law enforcement agencies.

“Aliyev was in his car in the parking lot, he was approached (unidentified people) and said that state license plates allegedly fell out from the back of the car. As soon as Aliyev got out of the car, he was detained. He was required to confess that drugs were found on him, otherwise he was threatened with rape with a rubber truncheon. He was forced to agree to his personal search in front of a video camera. Before recording, they put three bags of methamphetamine in his pocket with a total weight of 11 grams,” the lawyer stated the version of the defense, based on the testimony of Aliyev himself.

Humbatova drew attention to the fact that almost two hours elapsed between Aliyev's detention and his search. “Nijat Aliyev was detained at 14.10, and the search was carried out at 16.00. This is a violation of the requirements of the national procedural legislation and the precedent decisions of the ECtHR, which require a search to be carried out immediately at the place of detention in order to avoid abuse by law enforcement officers,” she said.

A search was also carried out in Aliyev's car, but no drugs were found there. “It is interesting that no search was carried out in Aliyev's house, although the detention order indicated the need for a personal search, searches in the car and in the house. If a person is suspected of illegal drug trafficking on a large scale, then it would be more logical to conduct a search at home, because he could have drugs at home. This gives reason to believe that the security forces were sure that there were no drugs there,” said Shahla Gumbatova.

She noted that there are other procedural violations in the case. According to her, during the initial interrogation, Aliyev did not even have a lawyer by appointment, and his signature in the protocol was put after the fact. “The protocol on the personal search was drawn up only the next day after the arrest,” the lawyer added.

According to the lawyer, the investigation did not clarify the question of how the drugs got to Aliyev. “Having discovered drugs from Aliyev, the investigation had to find out where they came from in order to bring the supplier to justice. However, the indictment says that Aliyev purchased drugs "under unidentified circumstances, from unidentified persons," Humbatova explained.

Only the operatives who detained him act as witnesses in Aliyev's case, there are no other witnesses. There were no witnesses during the personal search of the activist: the law allows the procedure to be carried out without them, subject to video filming.

Answering the lawyer's questions in court, Aliyev confirmed that he was not searched at the place of detention, drugs were put on him before the video recording, no protocol was drawn up during the search, and the interrogation after detention was carried out without the participation of a lawyer by appointment. According to the defender, the next court session is scheduled for June 2.

The arrest of Nijat Aliyev put his family in a difficult financial situation, Chinara Aliyeva, the activist's wife, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent .

“Nijat was the only breadwinner in our family, where there are three young children, two daughters and a son. He transported passengers in his car, providing taxi services. I don't work, I raise children. An elderly mother, Nijata, also lives with us,” she said.

The woman noted that now the family lives on financial assistance from relatives. “But everyone has their own worries, life is difficult for everyone now, the help of our relatives and friends is enough only for the most necessary things,” she said.

Chinara considers the accusations made against her husband unfounded. “Nijat is a deeply religious person. He doesn’t even smoke cigarettes, and drugs and alcohol are completely unacceptable things for him, which should be avoided. The real reason for Nijat's arrest is that he always protested against the persecution of believers. Last summer, he was arrested for 10 days for this,” the activist’s wife emphasized.

DME board member Agali Yakhyaev also considers Aliyev's criminal prosecution unfounded. He recalled that the movement has been under pressure since its inception.

“In November 2015, the leadership of the movement was arrested during a police operation in the village of Nardaran , then arrests of Muslim Unity activists took place throughout the country. Dozens of people were arrested and convicted. Although most of them have already been released, arrests of DME members have continued. A new wave began in the autumn of last year: in November-December, Shahin Gadirli, Nijat Aliyev, Samir Babayev, Mirtofig Huseynov were arrested. Then new arrests followed, in January-March of this year, another 33 of our activists were arrested. These arrests coincide in time with periods of exacerbation of Azerbaijani-Iranian relations. If Iran is a Shiite country, the believing Shiites of Azerbaijan should not give up their religion,” Yahyaev told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

Virginia man's home raided by FBI over allegations he sent money to ISIS members
[FoxNews] Mohammed Azharuddin Chhipa, 33, was arrested in northern Virginia for his alleged involvement with ISIS.
Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia!
FBI agents raided the apartment of a Virginia man suspected of providing monetary support to members of ISIS in Syria.

Mohammed Azharuddin Chhipa, 33, was arrested for his alleged involvement with the terrorist organization after a yearslong investigation, according to FOX 5 DC. He was born in India, but had since become a U.S. citizen.

The FBI and Fairfax County police blocked off Kingsford Road in Springfield for hours as Chhipa was taken into custody.

In a cell phone video captured by a neighbor and shared with the outlet, an agent was heard repeatedly yelling, "Hands behind your back!"

The investigation into Chhipa's alleged involvement with ISIS began in August 2021.

Chhipa was arrested for providing and attempting to provide material support to ISIS in the form of monetary instruments, according to court documents obtained by FOX 5. The crimes reportedly took place from August 2021 until January 2022.

According to the court documents, financial records indicate Chhipa purchased more than $172,000 in virtual currency between November 2019 and July 2022 and that he received an additional $15,000 in virtual currency from other individuals.

An analysis of the records shows more than $18,000 of those funds were sent to wallets known to be used by ISIS women held in a refugee camp in Syria. More funds went to other wallets believed to be accessed by ISIS members.

The FBI said $61,000 went to cryptocurrency wallets in Turkey and more than $60,000 remains unaccounted for.

Search warrant data showed that the virtual currency was converted back to cash and secretly passed to the intended recipients.

The agency also found through its investigation that Chhipa's social media accounts, books, videos and search histories confirm an ideological alignment with ISIS. The content included extremist ideology, Jihad and violent propaganda.

Texas deploys special border forces to 'repel' migrants; CBP, ICE hit El Paso as migrantscolonists rush end of Title 42
Doing the job the feds won’t do.
[DW] Officials are expecting an increase in border crossings due to the end of a policy that was used to expel asylum seekers.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott
... governor of Texas. Abbott is a Republican. His 2014 Dem opponent, state senatrix Wendy Davis, thought the absolute, most pressing, most important issue facing the state was abortion. Abbott beat the pantyhose off her. His 2018 opponent, Lupe Valdez didn't dwell too heavily on abortion, but she lost too...
announced on Monday the deployment of new forces to the border with Mexico to prevent the entry of migrants colonists.

The move comes as the US prepares to lift on Thursday a controversial policy named Title 42, which was enforced under former President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
to allow border patrol officers to deport or turn away migrants colonists without accepting their asylum applications.

WHAT IS THE NEW TEXAS BORDER FORCE?
Members of the specially trained National Guard unit, titled the Texas Tactical Border Force, will be deployed with Black Hawk helicopters, Abbott said.

"They will be deployed to hot spots along the border to intercept to repel and to turn back migrants colonists who are trying to enter Texas illegally," he told a news conference.

Some 10,000 members of the National Guard and security forces are to be deployed along the 2,000-kilometer border, Abbott said.

Abbott, a Republican who has criticized President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...
for lifting the Title 42 policy, also wants to pass a new state law to declare the illegal entry of migrants colonists as a felony.

He said such a rule would give authorities the power to "detain these people in jail for a serious crime or, alternatively, return them to Mexico."

AN EXPECTED 'SURGE' OF MIGRANTS COLONISTS
"We are dealing with a number of people never seen before who have crossed the border and this year we will set a new historic record," Abbott said.

According to the US Customs and Border Protection's most recent figures, the number of processed crossings on the US southwestern border went up around 25% from February 2023 to March 2023.

However,

the rate of increase from February to March 2023 was less than that of the same period last year, around 33%.

Last week, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said during a visit to southern Texas that the US has been preparing for an expected increase in the number of illegal border crossings.

"We've been preparing for quite some time and we are ready. What we are expecting is indeed a surge. And what we are doing is planning for different levels of a surge," Mayorkas said.

Ex-neo-Nazi guilty in slayings of Florida roommates who mocked conversion to Islam
[IsraelTimes] A former member of a neo-Nazi
...adherents of a philosophy that was seen even at the time as pure evil, which makes them either consciously and purely evil, or attention-seeking ratbags. Pick one, or both....
group pleaded guilty Monday to fatally shooting his two Florida roommates in 2017, abruptly avoiding the start of a murder trial in which he had planned to use the insanity defense, according to court records.

Devon Arthurs, 24, pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder and will serve a 45-year prison sentence. The plea deal with prosecutors means Arthur will not face a possible life sentence.

"This defendant committed a cold and calculated crime and for that he will spend the majority of his life in prison," said State Attorney Suzy Lopez in a statement. "The victims’ families are satisfied with this outcome which allows them to avoid a painful trial while knowing the defendant will have to dwell upon the pain he has caused for the next several decades behind bars."

Arthurs admitted killing the roommates, Andrew Oneschuk, 18, and 22-year-old Jeremy Himmelman, nearly 6 years ago at the Tampa apartment they shared. Arthurs told police after his arrest that all three had been part of a small, mostly online neo-Nazi group called the Atomwaffen Division
... in 2020 the group collapsed, the remnant renaming itself as the National Socialist Order while keeping to their self-imposed mission of driving civilizational collapse. #1  Given the LSD's are constantly berating and attacking those of the Christian & Jewish religions.

Those tossing out the label of Nazi and Fascist at Whites conservatives often wish to forget that National Socialism & Fascism has allied with several Middle-East Islamic nations since the 1930's. And is practiced in a handful of African nations also.

Given National Socialism and Fascism see themselves as the SUPREME HIGHEST WORD on all matters, including what's good thought, good behavior and good speech.

Conservatives, Christian, and those of the Jewish faith, by their nature and practices, are not National Socialists, nor Fascists.

Cop Killed in Terrorist Attack in Pakistan’s KP
[KhaamaPress] A police officer was killed, according to the authorities, in a late-night terrorist attack on a police checkpoint in the Khyber tribal district’s Bara tehsil.

"Constable Nasim Khan stationed at the al-Hajj check post in Bara embraced martyrdom in a terrorist attack," KP police stated in a tweet.

The attack occurred amid a rise in terrorist activity across the country, particularly in KP and Balochistan

Pakistain brokered a ceasefire with the government in November.

TTP mainly targeted coppers, foreign nationals and ordinary people in the country.

According to the latest report, the bad boy groups had 436 terrorist incidents during the past year in which 293 people were killed, and 521 were maimed, officials said.

Among the Pak provinces, most of the incidents occurred in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, respectively.

In KP, 219 terror activities occurred, in which 192 people were killed. In contrast, 80 people died in 206 incidents in Balochistan, 14 people in five attacks in Punjab, and sever in six terrorism incidents across Sindh, said Director General ISPR.

NIA raids continue across several locations in Jammu and Kashmir, separate case in Tamil Nadu
The police are keeping busy on their various jihadi hunts.
[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency is continuing with its raids across several locations in Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
The raids pertain to the criminal conspiracy hatched by terror groups operation under various pseudo-names, at the behest of Pakistain's ISI. The raids are taking place in Anantnag, Srinagar, Poonch, Rajouri, Kupwara and Kishtwar.

The raids also are taking place in the backdrop of the Rajouri and Poonch attacks by the Lashkar-e-Tayiba in which 10 Army jawans bit the dust.

Earlier this month the NIA conducted raids in Jammu and Kashmir in a case related to the separatist and secessionist activities of the banned Jamaat-e-Islami
...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores...
(JeI).

The JeI has been carrying out terror funding activities in Jammu and Kashmir even after it was declared an unlawful association. The NIA carried out searches at the premises of the JeI at 16 locations, including 11 in District Baramulla in Kashmir valley and the remaining 5 located in District Kishtwar in Jammu region. Several incriminating materials and digital devices were seized during the searches and were being examined for more clues in the case.

NIA investigations so far have revealed that JeI (J&K) members had been collecting funds domestically and from abroad through donations, particularly in the form of zakat, mowda and bait-ul-mal, as well as for purported charitable purposes, such as promotion of education and health. The funds were, instead, being used for violent mostly peaceful and secessionist activities in J&K. They were also being channelled to proscribed terrorist organizations, such as Hizb- ul-Mujahideen (HM), Lashkar-e-Taiba
...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI...
(LeT) and others through well organised networks of JeI cadres, an NIA note said.

Further, as per the investigations, JeI was also engaged in motivating impressionable youth of Kashmir and recruiting new members (Rukuns) in J&K for carrying out violent mostly peaceful, disruptive and secessionist activities.

Previous investigations by the NIA had revealed that one of the four arrested accused, identified as Javaid Ahmad Lone, had been soliciting funds and organising meetings in the name of JeI, J&K. He had been delivering hateful anti-India speeches and exhorting people to make donations at these meetings. Along with Aadil Ahmad Lone, he had also acquired firearms and ammunition with ulterior motives from the other two accused, identified as Manzoor Ahmad Dar and Rameez Ahmad Kondu, the NIA note also read.

NIA raids multiple locations in J&K, Tamil Nadu in separate cases

premises were also being raided. The NIA teams were examining a number of incriminating documents.

In Jammu and Kashmir, the raids were going on at multiple locations in a terror funding case. As of now the NIA has not officially commented anything on the raids.

Further details are awaited.

Shin Bet announces arrest of terror cell behind attempted bus bombing in West Bank
[IsraelTimes] Security agency says six Popular Front for Liberation of Paleostine members planned more attacks on Israeli targets; says they were directed by terror group leaders in Gazoo, Leb

Members of a Paleostinian terror cell accused of attempting to carry out a bombing attack in March and planning further attacks in the West Bank have been arrested, the Shin Bet security agency revealed Monday. According to the Shin Bet, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Paleostine cell was behind the attempted attack on March 9, when a makeshift bomb was planted on a bus in the Beitar Illit settlement. The explosive malfunctioned at the time and did not cause any injuries. The settlement went into lockdown for several hours as troops searched for the suspects. A day later, the military arrested a Paleostinian accused of planting the bomb, along with four others in the West Bank town of Battir.

The Shin Bet on Monday said the PFLP cell planned to carry out additional attacks.

The agency named the six suspects as Wassim Ayuna, Ahmed Abu Naima, Mazen Abdallah, Muhammad al-Barak, Rami al-Ahmar and Nur Mahmoud, from the towns of Battir and Beit Jala, and the Dheisheh refugee camp in the Bethlehem area. It was unclear when they were arrested.

The Shin Bet said the investigation revealed each of the suspects’ involvement in carrying out the bombing attack, from the planning stage, division of duties, recruitment of the suspect who planted the bomb, renting hideout apartments — one of which was used as an explosives lab — the production of the explosives and the purchase of a getaway vehicle.

The six were to be charged with attempted murder, manufacturing explosives, membership in an illegal association, and other security offenses.

Additionally, an Israeli woman was detained for aiding the suspect who planted the bomb to illegally enter Israeli territory. The Shin Bet investigation revealed she was unaware of the terrorist’s intentions, but has been indicted for her actions.

The investigation of the terror cell also revealed the involvement of the PFLP leadership in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. , which allegedly directed the cell to carry out the attempted bombing, as well as attacks by other terror cells, the Shin Bet said.

The Shin Bet said the attempted attack revealed a widespread PFLP terror network in the West Bank, directed by the group’s officials, including members locked away
Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out!
in Israel.

The West Bank PFLP network received funding by the group and were instructed to procure weapons, build explosives, and carry out shooting and bombing attacks against Israeli targets in Israel and the West Bank, the agency said.

The Shin Bet said the network was broken up during a recent wave of arrests in the West Bank, including the six behind the Beitar Illit bombing.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Alleged Jordanian airstrikes kill Syrian drug kingpin, his wife and six children
[IsraelTimes] War monitor says Amman likely behind bombings that targeted home of Merhi Ramthan near its border and drug factory in southern province of Daraa.

Airstrikes over southern Syria early Monday killed one of the country’s most well-known drug pushers, an opposition war monitor and a pro-government radio station reported.

The strikes come a day after Arab governments reinstated Syria to the Arab League
...an organization of Arabic-speaking states with 22 member countries and four observers. The League tries to achieve Arab consensus on issues, which usually leaves them doing nothing but a bit of grimacing and mustache cursing...
following the country’s suspension for its crackdown on protests. As Arab governments gradually rekindle ties with Damascus, one of the key topics of discussion has been Syria’s illicit drug industry, which has flourished during the ongoing conflict — especially illegal amphetamine captagon.

Western governments estimate that captagon has generated billions of dollars in revenue for Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Trampler of Homs...
, his Syrian associates, and allies. Damascus has denied the accusations.

The first strike hit a home in the Syrian village of Shuab in Sweida province near the Jordanian border, killing Merhi Ramthan, his wife and six children, according to the Britannia-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The opposition war monitor and Sham FM reported another strike in the southern province of Daraa that hit a building. The Observatory said the building housed a drug factory.

The pro-government radio station did not give any further details. There was no immediate comment from either Jordanian or Syrian authorities.

Activists and the war monitor said they believe Jordan is likely behind the Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
, with the captagon producer among the most-wanted by the Jordanian authorities for facilitating drug smuggling across the border with the backing of a small militia. They also say he is close with militias linked to Assad and the Iran-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah.

Jordan has frequently reported busting drug smuggling operations on its border with Syria, with its soldiers sometimes engaging in shootouts with narco mobs trying to break through from southern Syria. In recent years, Jordanian authorities have discovered millions of smuggled captagon pills, many of which were sent to oil-rich gulf nations.

Both Syria and neighboring Leb

have become gateways for the drug to the Middle East, and particularly to the the Gulf.

In March, the US and UK slapped sanctions on four Syrians and two Lebanese involved in manufacturing and trafficking captagon.

The six include cousins of the Syrian president and well-known Lebanese drug kingpins. Weeks later, the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
imposed sanctions on several Syrians, including members of Assad’s family, blaming them for the production and trafficking of narcotics, notably captagon.
Rudaw gives an alternate spelling of the gentleman’s name, adding:
UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that a drug dealer identified as Marai al-Rathman was “killed in a Jordanian air force strike” together with his wife and six children in Suwayda province near the Syrian-Jordanian border.

The monitor added that Rathman is “the most prominent drug dealer who is responsible for smuggling it [narcotics] to Jordan from the area,” adding that he was affiliated to Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

Jordan has not yet commented on the reports of the airstrike being attributed to it. Jordanian airstrikes targeting drug smugglers in Syria have taken place before, dating back to 2014, according to AFP.

On Thursday, Jordan’s foreign minister told CNN that the country is determined to battle the threat of narcotics taking place along its border with Syria.

Leaked US intel files: Iran smuggling weapons hidden in earthquake relief to Syria

Hezbollah recruiter in south Syria said to resume activities after Israel nabs spy
[IsraelTimes] Lebanese operative known as Abu Ali said to ply poor Syrians with provisions to enlist them to gather intel for terror group, including man arrested by IDF troops in January

A Hezbollah operative in Syria tasked with enlisting locals to gather intelligence on Israel appears to have resumed his activities after lying low in response to the recent arrest of one of the spies, Israeli television reported Sunday.

Ghaith Abdullah, 26, was arrested in January by troops after crossing into Israeli territory from Syria for unspecified reasons and was later charged with spying on the Lebanese terror group’s behalf.

The Israel Defense Forces has said Abdullah was part of the so-called "Golan File," a Hezbollah plot that mostly involves collecting intelligence and recruiting operatives, but also has weaponry in its possession, namely explosives, light arms, machine guns, and antitank missiles.

According to the Kan public broadcaster, Abdullah was recruited by a Hezbollah member known by the nom de guerre Abu Ali, who is in charge of enlisting spies for Hezbollah in southern Syria.

The unsourced report said Abu Ali made an effort to speak in Syrian Arabic to obscure his Lebanese origins and claimed to be a Syrian intelligence officer. Abdullah said during questioning that Abu Ali easily passed through Syrian government checkpoints, underscoring the freedom of movement the Assad regime gives to Hezbollah.

To enlist local Syrians, he allegedly gave recruits such as Abdullah large quantities of oil and food, exploiting their poverty to bring them on as spies. Though Abdullah reportedly figured out Abu Ali was Lebanese, he agreed to photograph IDF positions in exchange for the provisions.

Following Abdullah’s arrest, the broadcaster said Abu Ali went underground but seems to have recently resumed operating in southern Syria, without further elaborating.

According to the IDF, Abdullah was a squad commander involved in advancing attacks against Israel. The military named another operative in his squad, the leader of another squad, and a Syrian man involved in recruiting new members.

Authorities have from time to time arrested and charged individuals with spying on Israel for Hezbollah, including providing inside information, helping recruit people for terror attacks and more.

Iran-backed Hezbollah, considered the most significant threat along Israel’s borders, is Lebanese but has become increasingly active in Syria since coming to the aid of Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
