Bizarre moment Texas Democrat calls for black people to be exempt from paying taxes during reparations talk... before saying poor ones don't anyway

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Texas Democrat Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett called for black Americans to be exempt from paying taxes when asked about reparations for slavery.

The 43-year-old then went on to suggest it may not succeed because many poorer black people 'aren't really paying taxes in the first place'.
[Texas has no 'income tax'. They will be paying sales tax on everything they purchase. Stolen items are tax exempt.]
Crockett, a liberal freshman in the House who has called Texas GOP Governor Greg Abbott's immigration policy 'insane' and that his new laws aim 'to kill people,' made the statement on 'The Black Lawyers Podcast' last week.

When the host axed asked her about reparations - often on many far left politicians and activists wish lists - she made the bizarre suggestion after hearing about the plan from a celebrity and thinking it 'I don't know that that's necessarily a bad idea'.

'One of the things they propose is black folk not have to pay taxes for a certain amount of time because then again, that puts money back in your pocket,' Crockett explained.

#9  A long, long time ago, a black syndicated newspaper columnist named William Raspberry wrote a piece about how his great-great-whatever-grandparents were brought to America as slaves and while it sucked for them, he was grateful that it allowed him to grow up in America instead of west Africa which was a bit of a shithole at the time. Anyone expressing such an opinion today would be crucified, but it struck high school student Me as a surprisingly realistic take on the matter.

A principle of tort law is that wrongs should be righted and the victim made whole. If a person feels victimized by their ancestors being removed from their ancestral homeland, then the proper thing to do is return them to Africa with a little walking-around money. As part of the deal, they are no longer an American citizen. Take any personal assets such as money earned or knowledge of a written language, but once gone, you can't come back. Bye!

#8  Here's the deal, you want reparations, you forfeit citizenship. You take only your blood money and leave, no other assets. You may never return for any reason under penalty of summary execution.

Coming from a family with White/Eur-Asia Indentured Slave/Service History (1894-1925) to Mill owners in the Mass.

WHY JUST BLACKS?

At the risk of sounding racist.
At some point this stupid Election year BS has to end.

How can ANY person... White, Asia or Black demand $$$$$ for what their GREAT-GREAT-GREAT Grand Parents indured, from a population that immigranted generations after slavery ended? In fact HAD NO PART IN OR WITH Slavery.


Especially given the percentages of certain groups have been more more than compensated with 5 generations of Gov. Assistance.


So while we still have Semi-"Elected" repersentatives:

How about a Total Tax Code Rewrite & Simplification, so that an avg. 7th grader can understand and do their own taxes with a Dollar Tree hand calculator?

Plus a cap on the total citizen paid taxes, from all sources, (Local, State, & Federal) to less than 20% of Income.


Force Governments to be leaner , not meaner and quit funneling taxpayer $$$$$$$ around.
